방산분야 공인시험기관의 수요확산 예측 및 정책 방향 연구 (A Study on Forecasting the Diffusion of Certified Testing Service Institutions and Direction of Policy Making in Defense Industry)

  • In order to ensure the reliability and specialty of weapon system test results, a policy of extending certified testing service institutions has been driven by applying accreditation system of the ones in defense industry. Bass and Logistic models are used to apply the policy effectively and forecast the diffusion pattern of certified testing service institutions. The parameters for diffusion forecast are estimated using the diffusion pattern of certified testing service institutions in non-defense industry, and these are applied to forecast the diffusion of certified ones in defense industry. Coefficients of innovation and imitation of Bass model are analyzed to derive the factors influencing the early adoption and diffusion patterns. The more increasing the coefficients, the earlier adoption occurred. Diffusion pattern due to coefficient of imitation, internal factor, has larger effect on sensitivity of diffusion pattern. This means that the self recognition of necessity is more effectively worked than the policy or regulations driven by government.

일회성 소비재의 구독서비스 이용의도에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구: 행동추론이론을 중심으로 (Factors influencing online subscription for disposable consumer goods: A Behavioral Reasoning Theory Perspective)

  • 최근 글로벌 경제 트렌드로 비대면 온라인 쇼핑의 성장과 함께 구독경제도 급속히 확산되고 있다. 본 연구는 일회성 소비재의 구독서비스 이용의도에 미치는 영향을 행동추론이론을 통해 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 소비자 344명의 설문 응답을 수집하여 실증분석을 하였다. 분석 결과 첫째, 변화 개방성 가치는 일회성 소비재 구독서비스의 수용이유, 비수용이유 및 태도에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 둘째, 수용이유는 태도와 구독 의도에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 셋째, 비수용이유는 태도에는 유의한 부(-)의 영향을 미치고, 구독 의도에는 미치는 영향이 유의하지 않은 것으로 확인되었다. 넷째, 태도는 구독 이용의도에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 다섯째, 수용이유 및 비수용이유 중 가격의식과 품질 장벽의 영향력이 가장 큰 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 일회성 소비재 구독서비스 업체의 전략 운영에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대되며, 추후 다양한 구독서비스에 적용 및 변수 추가를 통해 연구결과를 보다 일반화하고 실무적인 활용도를 높일 수 있을 것이다.

Adoption of Foreign Technologies in Korean Manufacturing Firms: Characteristics and Microfoundations

  • The primary goal of this paper is to explore the microeconomic foundation of Korean firms' adoption of foreign technologies. The paper also reviews the overall trend of international technology transfers to Korea. The period covered in this paper is Korea's high growth era, from the 1960s to the 1990s. The works of this paper center on the two questions of what characterizes foreign technologies which had been imported through licensing contracts, and which driving forces expedite technology adoption by firms. The Korean experience provides the context of success in the catch-up growth. The co-movement of technology imports with capital goods imports manifests Korea's effort to improve the technical efficiency toward the world frontier. Underlying this trend are firms' decisions to adopt new technologies. The paper shows that firms respond proactively to wage increases by adopting newer technologies and thus, in turn, increasing employment, which implies the existence of a virtuous interactive mechanism among these factors.

  • Recently, many enterprises are interest in implementing Radio Frequency IDentification (RFID). However, they have some difficulty in implementing RFID because of incompleteness of RFID technology and uncertainty of Return on Investment (ROI). Even though usefulness of RFID are recognized, many enterprises are just interested in planning of RFID rather than implementation of RFID. Among successful factors of RFID implementation, Information Technology (IT) capability is the most important one. If enterprises have systematic IT capability, it would make positive attitude to implement RFID. In addition, it will provide trust about RFID and promote adoption of RFID implementation. This study, therefore, empirically analyzed the relationships of trust, attitude, IT capability, and intention to RFID adoption using Partial Least Squares (PLS) approach. The result show useful guidelines and practical implication in implementing RFID.

Influence of IS Planning and Change Management on ERP Implementation Success

  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system is one of key information technology to shape doing business. ERP adoption characteristics like IS planning and change management before ERP implementation are rising in importance, because of gaining competitive advantage. The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of the characteristics of ERP adoption on ERP implementation success. From previous researches on ERP adoption and implementation, two characteristics of ERP adoption such as IS planning and change management, and 2 dependent variables such as process innovation and business performance, are identified. From data collection processes, 122 samples are collected. The results of hypothesis testing show that organizations with IS plan have higher implementation performance than organizations without IS plan. Also, organizations with the process of change management have higher implementation performance than organizations without the process of change management. Also, The interaction effect between IS planning and change management shows bigger impact in ERP implementation success.

  • Korean telecommunications industry has a large scale market and boasts on high service quality and high technologies enough to provide the mobile video telephony service(the VTS) satisfactorily. For many years, Korean telecommunications companies have been investing enormous amount of money to advertise their VTS widely and to allow their customers to change their cell phones for the 3G(the third generation) devices indispensable for the VTS. However, despite their efforts, the VTS adoption rate in Korea is very low as of January, 2010 and it seems that customers seldom feel the necessity to use. From this viewpoint, it becomes necessary to identify antecedents influencing the intention to use for the VTS empirically. For this purpose, we have proposed several hypotheses from the perspective of the Value-based Adoption Model(VAM). We conducted a survey and found the several factors which influence the value perception of VTS.

친환경농업 채택에 영향을 미치는 요인 -전남지역 시설채소 재배농가를 중심으로- (Factors Influencing the Adoption of Environment-Friendly Agriculture -With Emphasis on Greenhouse Vegetable Growers of Jeonnam-)

  • The purpose of the study is to investigate factors influencing the adoption of environment-friendly agriculture in greenhouse vegetable production of Jeonnam province. An interview survey were conducted during 2008, including six counties: Gwansanku of Gwangju, Gwangyang, Goheung, Damyang, Boseong, and Suncheon. Major crops grown in surveyed area were green peppers, cucumbers, strawberries, cherry tomatoes, tomatoes, and watermelons. Logit model results show that adopters of environment-friendly agriculture are more likely to participate in extensional education programs, attend educational programs on environment-friendly agriculture, have greater cultivated acreage, and have larger agriculture-only-designated farmland. However the adopters are less likely to have greater number of family members participating in farming, and live Goheung county. Efforts should be made in extensional education programs to lead more vegetable growers to adopt environment-friendly agriculture. Policy makers' additional efforts should be followed to increase adoption rate of environment-friendly agriculture in lower adopted areas.

공개입양가족의 입양 적응과 입양관련 프로그램 참여경험 연구 -초등학생 자녀를 둔 입양모를 중심으로- (An Open Adoption Family's Experience of Adapting to Adoption and Participating in Adoption-related programs: Focusing on Adoptive Mothers with Elementary School Children)

  • 본 연구는 공개 입양한 모를 대상으로 입양과정과 입양 후의 적응, 입양관련 프로그램에서의 참여경험을 살펴봄으로써 공개 입양한 가족이 입양에 적응하고 행복한 입양 가족으로 성장하는데 필요한 정보와 입양가족에게 유용한 입양관련 프로그램을 위한 기초자료를 제공하고자 하였다. 연구를 위해 입양가족생활에 만족해하며 자발적으로 참여 의사를 밝힌 초등학생 입양자녀를 둔 여섯 명의 공개 입양모를 대상으로 심층면접을 진행하였다. 연구의 주요결과로 공개입양모들은 입양 후 부모로서의 행복뿐만 아니라 내적 성장, 부부애 증가, 호의적인 사회적 시선과 같은 긍정적인 변화와 모로서의 양육 전담의 부담, 입양 사실 공개로 인한 자녀의 예상치 못한 반응 등의 어려움을 함께 경험하였다, 특히 초등학생을 둔 입양모로서 자녀의 사춘기에 대한 불안과 자신의 중년기로 인한 양육의 어려움, 학교환경에서 입양아에 대한 편견과 차별, 공공기관 복지담당자의 입양 인식과 지원 부족에 대한 어려움을 경험하였다. 그러나 이러한 어려움에 대해 공개입양모들은 입양사실로 힘들어 하는 자녀의 마음을 공감해주고 수용해주는 노력과 당당하게 입양가족임을 드러내고 어려움을 직면하는 태도와 배우자나 부모, 친자녀의 적극적인 지원으로 대처해가고 있었다. 공개입양모들은 입양기관이나 공공기관에서 제공하는 다양한 입양관련 프로그램이나 지원 그리고 자발적인 자조모임에 참여하였는데 무엇보다 자조모임과 입양자녀의 또래모임에서의 참여경험이 크게 유용한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 주요결과들을 바탕으로 공개입양가족을 위한 복지 서비스 강화, 학교 교사와 학생, 복지 담당자를 대상으로 한 입양 이해교육 및 입양반편견교육의 실시, 입양가족을 위해 실제적으로 유용한 프로그램의 제공, 자조모임 활성화 방안에 대하여 제언하였다.

Big Data Adoption in the Construction Industry: Status Quo, Drivers and Challenges

  • Under the influence of pervasive digital revolution, the world is overwhelmed with data with an increasing speed of data generation. The accessibility and analysis of 'big data' can provide useful insight and help various industry sectors revolute. Although the concept of 'big data' has gained popularity in the construction industry in recent years, the construction industry remains at a nascent stage in the adoption of big data technologies and lags behind other sectors. To the best of our knowledge, few empirical studies have been done to examine the status quo of big data adoption in the construction sector and its influencing factors. This paper fills the gaps and examines the current status of big data adoption in companies with different sizes and roles and projects with different types, and the drivers and challenges in adopting big data technologies. After an extensive literature review, a questionnaire survey and post-interviews were conducted. The results of the analysis show that the big data adoption in the construction sector is affected by the size of companies and the work experience of employees. Technology advancement, competitiveness, government plan, and policy initiatives are the main drivers of the big data adoption, while design appropriate system, difficulty in data collection and the lack of knowledge and experience were found to be the major challenges for the big data adoption in the construction sector. Finally, the identified top three strategies to overcome challenges and promote big data adoption are 'clear organization structure', 'government incentives' and 'the training of IT personnel'. The findings of this study guide construction practitioners in different companies and projects put domain specific strategies in place to enhance the big data adoption.
