The study empirically examines the classic hypothesis on resource-based view(RBV) theory, which is the possible relationship between competitive advantage and performance. For the study, we have surveyed 198 hospital administrators in Korea. By testing the hypotheses at conceptual level, a more robust approach, we found that (1) if a hospital possesses and exploits resources and capabilities that are both valuable and rare, it will attain a competitive advantage, and (2) the attaintment of such advantage will enable the hospital to improve its performance. The results may be interest to both academics and practitioners. From an academic standpoint, the study more accurately captures the dynamics of the theory by pairing resources-capabilities as opposed to individual resources or capabilities. From a practitioner perspective, it is suggested that hospital managers need no necessarily seek out novel resources and capabilities, but rather develop novel ways in which to combine those resources and capabilities to which they do have access.

이 연구의 목표는 다양한 사회적 문제를 양산하고 있는 현재의 불법행위 흥신소 및 심부름센터의 선진화 방안에 대한 고찰이다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 관련업종의 불법적 위법 행위룰 방지하기 위해 유사 업종인 산업근거법인 경비업법 적용의 고려이다. 둘째, 해당업종 종사자에 대한 전문자격제도의 도입이다. 셋째, 흥신소 및 심부름센터와 같은 기존의 직업군을 새로운 직업군으로 창출하여 양성화하는 것이다. 넷째, 관할감독기관 선정과 엄격한 관리 감독이다.

The intensive care unit (ICU) is the most common place to die. Also, ethical conflicts among stakeholders occur frequently in the ICU. Thus, ICU clinicians should be competent in all aspects for ethical decision-making. Major sources of conflicts are behavioral issues, such as verbal abuse or poor communication between physicians and nurses, and end-of-life care issues including a lack of respect for the patient's autonomy. The ethical conflicts are significantly associated with the job strain and burn-out syndrome of healthcare workers, and consequently, may threaten the quality of care. To improve the quality of care, handling ethical conflicts properly is emerging as a vital and more comprehensive area. The ICU physicians themselves need to be more sensitive to behavioral conflicts and enable shared decision making in end-of-life care. At the same time, the institutions and administrators should develop their processes to find and resolve common ethical problems in their ICUs.

Nursing research in the United States (US) spans several decades. Many of the priorities/trends have stayed through the years. Today, the goal of producing evidence to support nursing care interventions coupled with the drive for Magnet Recognition has encouraged academic nurses (faculty) to work with nurse clinicians to form research teams. Interdisciplinary research teams have also formed to address growing concerns over patient safety and quality care. These issues are not just US issues but global ones. This article addresses US trends with the link to global research trends. The role that organizations such as the International Council of Nurses (ICN), the World Health Organization (WHO), and the Council of International Neonatal Nurses, Inc. (COINN) pay in shaping research agendas and promoting nursing research is highlighted. It emphasizes the key role that nurses, especially nurse leaders/administrators play in changing health outcomes through support of nursing research.

This study is result of interview and investigation into three rural communities progressing Rural activity, and points to be considered before promoting policy 1) Resident participation taking a lot of time, need to sustainable education and chance of personal experience, as well as stage of working plan and performance must be a serious consideration about resident opinions. 2) Until placing operation and management on the right track, experts and administrators will be help aspects of software and finance. 3) It is necessary to periodically train rural activity experts, and educate business persons. 4) Through checking a process, each community improve, supplement, will work out the next support system.

This paper introduces a clustering for Central Control System in New Distribution Automation System. There are three primary benefits to use clustering: improved availability, easier manageability and more cost-effective scalability. Availability: Clustering can automatically detect the failure of an application or server and quickly restart it on a surviving server. Clients only experience a momentary pause in service. Manageability: Clustering lets administrators quickly inspect the status of all cluster resources and easily move workload around onto different servers within a cluster. Scalability: Applications can use the Clustering services through the MSCS Application Programming Interface(API) to do dynamic load balancing and scale across multiple servers within a cluster.

Geographical location carries information such as demography, local economy, environment, and life styles, which could be the sources of cancer occurrence. Analyzing geographical location associated with cancer occurrence can be instructive to physicians, patients, and health administrators regarding resource allocation, expenditures, prophylaxis and treatments. In this paper, we explored the correspondence relationship between geographical locations and mortality rates of the cancers using correspondence analysis and illustrated the approach with the mortality rates of the top 10 cancers in the 75 counties in Arkansas from 2001 to 2005. Geographical variations with respect to the mortality rates of cancers are evaluated across Arkansas counties. Based on the contingency table, correspondence analysis model is developed and the simple indices which indicate the degree to which the regions and the cancers affect each other are calculated. Quantitative results are visualized and mapped in two-dimensional graphs.

Recently, mobile traffic has increased tremendously due to the deployment of smart devices such as smartphones and smart tablets. Android is the world's most powerful mobile platform in smartphone. The Android operating system provide seamless access to many applications and access to the Internet. It would involve network packet sharing communicated over the network. Network packet contains a lot of useful information about network activity that can be used as a description of the general network behaviours. To study what is the behaviours of the network packet, an effective tools such as network packet analyzers software used by network administrators to capture and analyze the network information. In this research, more understanding about network information in live network packet captured from Android smartphone is the target and identify the best network analyzer software.

Delay has influenced customer satisfaction while using a telephone. It has been ranked second after transmission impairments in annoyance to customers. Therefore, it is important to analyze its behavior not only to increase the quality of service for the customers, but to provide its information to network planners and administrators and to designers of equipment and systems. In this paper, we consider a log-normal model as a candidate for describing the statistical behavior of the post dialling delay, i.e., the time to connect a call to the telephone network after dialling. Based on the real data, the log-normalness of the post dialling delays are convinced for the long distance calls, but not supported for the local calls. Uses of graphical plotting paper and statistical test of fit art discussed.

In this paper, we consider issues related to the autonomous management of a server cluster Server clustering technique is widely used for high available Internet servers such as a web server, because it provides very scalable and reliable service. However, it is very burden-some to manage the cluster system. For instance, installation or configuration of a new node requires skilled administrators. Also, when a node is failed, it should be recognized and recovered by a human. The management complexity gets higher while increasing the number of machines for higher throughput. Here, we are going to alleviate the management complexity by building an autonomous cluster server with Jini $_{TM}$ technology from Sun Microsystems.
