A Study on the Precise Surveying Technique by Terrestrial Photogrammetry (지상사진측량(地上寫眞測量)에 의한 정밀측량기법(精密測量技法)의 연구(硏究))

  • The analysis of a single stereo model is not sufficient in applying for some large structures, therefore the precise coordinate analysis photogrammetric block adjustment method should be considered. The distribution of control points has a great influence on the error characteristics of the block adjustment results. Thus, the unit model method is applied to the photogrammentric adjustment procedure to study error characterestics with different distributions of control points. Through this study, the second order polynomial equations about bridging distance and plane error are developed in block adjustment of terrestrial photogrammetry. Comparing the block adjustment method and a single model method, root mean square error of the block adjustment method is 0.44mm, and a single model method is 1.06mm.

  • 네트워크 거리 (Network distance : 일반적으로 ping이나 traceroute 등으로 측정 가능한 round trip time 등 네트워크 상에서 패킷 전송 시간) 추정 기법은 인터넷상의 많은 응용프로그램들에서 유용하게 사용된다. 예를 들면 다수의 서버를 인터넷상에 설치하고자 하는 경우 사용자들 간의 네트워크 거리를 알고 있다면 서버와 사용자간의 왕복 전송 시간 (Round Trip Time)등을 최소화할 수 있도록 서버를 분산하여 설치하는 구성을 도출해 낼 수 있을 것이다. Peer to Peer 응용 프로그램들에서도 이 네트워크 거리 정보는 매우 유용하다. 기존에 존재하는 추정 기법들은 대부분 유클리드 공간 좌표 기반 기법들로서 유클리드 좌표 상의 거리가 실제 네트워크 거리와 유사하도록 유클리드 공간 좌표를 지정한다. 그러나 이런 방법들의 문제점은 인터넷 상의 네트워크 거리가 삼각 부등식을 만족하지 않는 경우가 존재하는 등 유클리드 공간의 기본적인 가정을 만족하지 못한다는데 있다. 이런 문제점 때문에 새로운 모델이 필요하고, 이 논문에서는 가상 토폴로지(Virtual Topology) 모델과 지역 조정 항 (Local Adjustment Term) 모델을 제시하고, 기본적인 성능 분석을 시도하였다.

  • In sampling survey the nonresponse reduces the precision of the estimator becuase of the nonresponse bias of the estimator. Deville, et al.(1993) considered the generalized raking procedure with the auxiliary information under five distance measures for reducing the nonresponse bias of the estimator. This paper extends the classical weighting adjustment of Deville, et al.(1993) to the stratified sampling case with three among five measures.

Improvement Scheme of Airborne LiDAR Strip Adjustment

  • LiDAR (Light Detection And Ranging) strip adjustment is process to improve geo-referencing of the ALS (Airborne Laser Scanner) strips that leads to seamless LiDAR data. Multiple strips are required to collect data over the large areas, thus the strips are overlapped in order to ensure data continuity. The LSA (LiDAR Strip Adjustment) consists of identifying corresponding features and minimizing discrepancies in the overlapping strips. The corresponding features are utilized as control features to estimate transformation parameters. This paper applied SURF (Speeded Up Robust Feature) to identify corresponding features. To improve determination of the corresponding feature, false matching points were removed by applying three schemes: (1) minimizing distance of the SURF feature vectors, (2) selecting reliable matching feature with high cross-correlation, and (3) reflecting geometric characteristics of the matching pattern. In the strip adjustment procedure, corresponding points having large residuals were removed iteratively that could achieve improvement of accuracy of the LSA eventually. Only a few iterations were required to reach reasonably high accuracy. The experiments with simulated and real data show that the proposed method is practical and effective to airborne LSA. At least 80 % accuracy improvement was achieved in terms of RMSE (Root Mean Square Error) after applying the proposed schemes.

  • Recently, the infrastructure of stereoscopy is growing fast. Though, the stereoscopy producing capacity is insufficient to meet the demand of the market. Because, at the moment most people who produce the stereoscopy are skilled for the two-dimensional images. So the characteristics of the human stereopsis and stereoscopic cameras are not well considered, it occurs many problems to the viewer. According to this, we studied about the optical axis distance adjustment of stereoscopic camera considering size perception in human stereopsis. First, we measured the area of the object in the image which depends on the optical axis distance. Second, based on the output of first experiment, we conducted a survey and figured out that if we keep the optical axis distance between 3.9cm to 130cm, it wouldn't occur any size perception and will be possible to produce high quality stereoscopy.

  • The purpsoe of automatic steering system is to keep the ship's course stable with the minimum course error and rudder angle, and there have been a number of studies as to the optimal design and adjustment of the autopilot. Recently, modern control theories are being used widely in analyzing and designing the system. When a ship is at sea, autopilot installed on the ship plays an important role, particularly in the respect of economic aspects, that is, when the design and the adjustment of adjustable parameters are not conducted perfectly, the amount of loss in energy and the extension of sailing distance become large. Therefore the optimal design and adjustment of a autopilot are very important. Though P.I.D type autopilots are widely spread and generally used in modern ships, the suitability and the adjusting method are not clarified. In this paper the authors considered the stabilaity and the economical efficiency of the P.I.D. type autopilot and investigated various facts which should be considered at the time of designing and using the P.I.D. type autopilot through the digital computer simulation.

Adjustment Algorithms for the Measured Data of Stereo Vision Methods for Measuring the Height of Semiconductor Chips (반도체 칩의 높이 측정을 위한 스테레오 비전의 측정값 조정 알고리즘)

  • Lots of 2D vision algorithms have been applied for inspection. However, these 2D vision algorithms have limitation in inspection applications which require 3D information data such as the height of semiconductor chips. Stereo vision is a well known method to measure the distance from the camera to the object to be measured. But it is difficult to apply for inspection directly because of its measurement error. In this paper, we propose two adjustment methods to reduce the error of the measured height data for stereo vision. The weight value based model is used to minimize the mean squared error. The average value based model is used with simple concept to reduce the measured error. The effect of these algorithms has been proved through the experiments which measure the height of semiconductor chips.

  • Generally, sensor nodes can be easily compromised and seized by an adversary because sensor nodes are hostile environments after dissemination. An adversary may be various security attacks into the networks using compromised node. False data injection attack using compromised node, it may not only cause false alarms, but also the depletion of the severe amount of energy waste. Dynamic en-route scheme for Filtering False Data Injection (DEF) can detect and drop such forged report during the forwarding process. In this scheme, each forwarding nodes verify reports using a regular probability. In this paper, we propose verification probability adjustment scheme of forwarding nodes though a fuzzy rule-base system for the Dynamic en-route filtering scheme for Filtering False Data Injection in sensor networks. Verification probability determination of forwarding nodes use false traffic rate and distance form source to base station.

Robustness of Minimum Disparity Estimators in Linear Regression Models

  • This paper deals with the robustness properties of the minimum disparity estimation in linear regression models. The estimators defined as statistical quantities whcih minimize the blended weight Hellinger distance between a weighted kernel density estimator of the residuals and a smoothed model density of the residuals. It is shown that if the weights of the density estimator are appropriately chosen, the estimates of the regression parameters are robust.

  • There are many types of interchangeable zoom lens in the digital single lens reflex camera and the compact digital still camera system in order to meet various specifications such as the field angle. Thus special cases for which the focus adjustment using only an auto-focus group is not available in the focal point correction (that is, the focus adjustment) of both wide and tele-zoom positions are sometimes generated. In order to make each BFL(back focal length, BFL) coincide at wide and tele-zoom positions with each designed BFL, focus adjustment processes must be performed at least in these two points within the zoom lens system. In this paper, we propose a method of focus adjustment by using the concept of focus sensitivity, and we calculate a limit on focus adjustment distance by means of statistical analysis.
