3차원 FEM 모델링에 의한 수평 도전성 관로의 전자기 반응 특성 (EM Responses of Buried Conductive Pipes Calculated by 3-D Finite Element Method)

  • 저주파수 전자탐사 관로 탐지기 개발 및 현장 운용시의 지침을 마련하기 위해 3차원 유한요소법을 이용해서 수평 자기 쌍극자 송신원에 의한 도전성 지하 매설 관로의 전자기 반응을 계산하고 그 특성을 분석하였다. 단일 관로의 전자기 반응은 수평 자기장 및 수직 자기장의 수평 차분치 모두 관로 직상부에서 최대값을 나타낸다. 반응 곡선에서 최대값의 1/2이 되는 위치의 폭은 수평 자기장의 경우 수직 자기장의 수평 차분치보다 2배 정도 넓으며, 이는 수직 자기장의 수평 차분치가 관로 위치 분해능이 높은 것을 의미한다. 그리고 관로의 심도 계산식이 관로의 직상부에서만 정의되기 때문에 분해능이 높은 수직 자기장의 수평 차분치를 측정하는 것이 관로 심도 결정시 유리할 것이다. 서로 2 m 떨어진 이중 관로의 전자기 반응은 수직 자기장의 수평 차분의 경우 송신기 하부 및 인접 관로의 상부 모두에서 반응 곡선의 피크가 보인다. 이에 반해 수평 자기장의 경우는 인접 관로에 의한 자기장은 송신기 하부 관로에 의한 자기장에 의해 상쇄되어 송신기 하부 관로에 의한 피크만 나온다. 이로 미루어 볼 때 지하에 다수의 관로가 인접하여 매설되어 있는 상황에서는 수직 자기장의 수평 차분을 측정함으로써 다수 관로의 탐지도 가능할 것으로 보인다. 그리고 반응 곡선의 폭을 비교할 때, 단일 관로에서와 마찬가지로 분해능은 수직 자기장의 수평 차분치를 측정하는 것이 수평 자기장을 측정하는 것에 비해 뛰어난 것으로 판단된다.

  • In the recent studies, many authors have reported that the success rate of immediate implantation has no difference compared to conventional staged implantation. Although the immediate implantation has many advantages over conventional approach, many clinicians don't seem to practice because they think that most of the extraction sockets will have some bony gab with defects around implant and that this situation makes the result of immediate implantation unpredictable. We clinically analyzed 23 implanted sites of 18 patients treated with immediate implantation in our hospital from September 2003 to January 2004. The $ITI^{(R)}$. dental implant system was used and GBR procedure with $Bio-Oss^{(R)}$. and $Bio-Gide^{(R)}$. was done simultaneously. The pre & post-op. measurements were recorded such as alveolar crest-adjacent tooth CEJ distance, gingival crest-adjacent tooth CEJ distance, existence of periapical lesion, vertical defect around the extraction socket, horizontal defect around the extraction socket, probing depth, radiologic change of alveolar crest height. We report a positive outcome about immediate implantation with review of literatures.

Effect of CXCR4 and CD133 Co-expression on the Prognosis of Patients with Stage II~III Colon Cancer

  • Background: To explore the relationship between CXCR4, CD133 co-expression and clinicopathological features as well as prognosis of patients with phase II~III colon cancer. Materials and Methods: Forty-nine paraffin-embedded samples of tumor tissue and epithelial tissue adjacent to cancer were collected from patients with colon cancer undergoing radical surgery in Baotou Cancer Hospital from January, 2010 to June, 2011. CXCR4 and CD133 expression was detected using immunohistochemistry and its relationship with clinicopathological features and the 3-year survival rate was analyzed. Results: In the tumor tissue and colonic epithelial tissue adjacent to cancer, the positive expression rates of CXCR4 were respectively 61.2% (30/49) and 8.16% (4/49), while those of CD133 being 36.7% (18/49) and 6.12% (3/49). CXCR4 and CD133 expression in tumor tissue was not related to patient age, gender, primary focal sites, tumor size, TNM staging, histological type, tumor infiltration depth and presence or absence of lymphatic metastasis, but CXCR4 and CD133 co-expression was associated with TNM staging and lymphatic metastasis. The 3-year survival rate of patients with CXCR4 and CD133 co-expression was 27.3% (3/11), and that of the remainderwas 76.3% (29/38), the difference being significant ($X^2=7.0206$, p=0.0081). Conclusions: CXCR4 and CD133 co-expression may be a risk factor for poor prognosis of patients with stage II~III colon cancer.

PDP 격벽용 금형의 마이크로 홈 연삭 특성 (Characteristics of Micro Groove grinding for the Mold of PDP Barrier Ribs)

  • Plasma display panel (PDP) is a type of flat panel display utilizing the light emission that is produced by gas discharge. Barrier Ribs of PDP separating each sub-pixel prevents optical and electrical crosstalk from adjacent sub-pixels. Mold for forming barrier ribs has been newly researched to overcome the disadvantages of conventional manufacturing process such as screen printing, sand-blasting and photosensitive glass methods. Mold for PDP barrier ribs have stripes of micro grooves transferring stripes of glass-material wall. In this paper. Stripes of grooves of which width 48 um, depth 124um, pitch 274um was acquired by machining the material of WC with dicing saw blade. Maximum roughness of the bottom and sidewall of the grooves was respectively 120 nm, 287 nm. Maximum tilt angle caused by difference between upper-most width and lower-most width was 2$^{\circ}$. Maximum Radius of curvature of bottom was 7.75 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$. This results meets the specification for barrier ribs of 50 inch XGA PDP. Forming the glass paste will be followed by using mold in the near future.

홍제천 정비를 위한 하천유지유량 확보 및 수질개선 방안 연구 (Study on the Management of Minimum Low Flow and Water Quality of Hongjechun)

  • In this study, field surveys were performed for 12 stations in main stream of Hongjechun and 3 stations in 2 tributaries, respectively, in order to find out dried reaches of the stream, and to examine the water quality of the stream, and to suggest methods to improve the stream concerned into eco-stream. In the results of water quality in stream, however distinct difference for seasonal variation of the water quality was not found, the water quality of winter was relatively better than that of other seasons. Annual mean concentration of BOD was 6.5mg/L in the upper reach, 11.8mg/L in the middle reach, 15.3mg/L in the lower reach of main stream, and total mean was 12.5mg/L, while the BOD concentration was 3.6mg/L in the upper reach, and was 9.6mg/L in the low reach of Gukichun, the tributary. Based on flow examination, the level of water depth was so low and the flow can not be traveled downstream in the reach between ST-9 and ST-10 for low water season, whereas it was observed that the flow was traveling except the dry season even the water level was lower than that of adjacent stations.

PLAXIS 3D simulation, FLAC3D analysis and in situ monitoring of Excavation stability

  • Near-surface excavations may cause the tilting and destruction of the adjacent superstructures in big cities. The stability of a huge excavation and its nearby superstructures was studied in this paper. Some test instruments monitored the deformation and loads at the designed location. Then the numerical models of the excavation were made in FLAC3D (a three-dimensional finite difference code) and Plaxis-3D (a three-dimensional finite element code). The effects of different supporting and reinforcement tools such as nails, piles, and shotcretes on the stability and bearing capacity of the foundation were analyzed through different numerical models. The numerically approximated results were compared with the corresponding in-field monitored results and reasonable compatibility was obtained. It was concluded that the displacement in excavation and the settlement of the nearby superstructure increases gradually as the depth of excavation rises. The effects of support and reinforcements were also observed and modeled in this study. The settlement of the structure gradually decreased as the supports were installed. These analyses showed that the pile significantly increased the bearing capacity and decreased the settlement of the superstructure. As a whole, the monitoring and numerical simulation results were in good consistency with one another in this practically important project.

연.아연 금속광산 주변 농경지 토양중 중금속의 수직분포와 토양특성과의 관계 (Vertical Distribution of Heavy Metals in Paddy Soil Adjacent to Lead and Zinc Mining Sites and Their Relation to Soil Characteristics)

  • 토양중 중금속의 수직분포비율과 토양특성과의 관계를 규명하기 위하여 중금속에 의한 토양 오염이 우려되는 연· 아연 광산지역 주변농경지 27개 지점을 선정하여 토양깊이별로 시료를 채취하여 중금속함량과 토양의 이화학적 특성을 조사하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 얻어진 결과는 다음과 같다. 1) 중금속 원소의 토심별 분포는 표토(0- l5 cm)에서는 42-51%, 15 -30 cm에서는 21-29%, 30-60 cm에서는 12-17%, 60-100 cm에서는 11-14%였다. 2) 비소는 사양토와 양토간의 차이가 인정되나 Cd, Cu, Pb, Zn은 토성간에 차이가 없었다. 3) 토심별 각 원소의 함량분포비와 토양의 화학성과의 관계를 보면 각 원소 모두 pH와는 높은 유의성있는 부의 상관을 보인 반면 유의성있는 정의 상관을 나타내었다. 4) Cd, Cu, Pb 및 Zn 은 모든 토심에서 각 원소간에 대부분 높은 상관이 있었고 특히 Pb와 Zn은 0-15 cm, 30-60 cm, 60-100 cm에서 Cd와 Zn은 15 -30 cm에서 높은 상관을 나타내었다.

파동형 Nd:YAG 레이저조사가 인체 치은조직에 미치는 영향 (Effect of a Pulsed Nd:YAG laser irradiation on human gingival tissues)

  • The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of a pulsed Nd:YAG laser irradiation on human gingival tissues. The patients, who were planned to be treated by clinical crown lengthening procedure and gingivectomy, were selected. All the patients received oral hygiene instruction, scaling and root planing at preoperation. The crest of gingival tissue on upper and lower anterior teeth was irradiated by a pulsed Nd:YAG laser(El. EN. EN060, Italy) with a fiber optic of 300 m in contact mode for 20 seconds. Gingival tissues were divided into 4 groups according to the laser power of 1.0W(10Hz, 100mJ), 2.0W(20Hz, 100mJ), 3.0W(30Hz, 100mJ) and 4.0W(40Hz, 100mJ). Immediately after the laser irradiation, the specimens were excised, fixed 10% neutral formalin, sectioned $4-6{\mu}m$ thick, stained by Hematoxylin-Eosin and Periodic Acid Schiff stain and observed under light microscope. The removed tissue depth and the coagulated layer depth due to a laser irradiation by a laser irradiation were measured on the microphotographs. The difference of measurements according to the different laser power was statistical1y analyzed by Kruskal Wallis Test with SAS program. The results were as follows : 1. In histologic findings of irradiated gingival tissues; a. In the irradiated gingival specimen with 1.0W laser power, some vesicles were observed in limited superficial layer of gingival epithelium. b. In the irradiated gingival specimen with 2.0W and 3.0W laser power, the epithelium was almost removed except for the traces of viable basal cell remnants at ret peg, and coagulation necrosis related with the thermal effect of laser was noted. c. In the irradiated gingival specimen with 4.0W laser power, complete removal of epithelium, partial removal of underlying connective tissue, and the coagulation necrosis of subjacent gingival tissue were shown. 2. The removed tissue depth was deeper in the irradiated specimens with higher power. There was a statistical significance in the difference of removed tissue depth between 1.0W group ($44.54{\pm}6.99um$) and 3.0W group ($99.75{\pm}6.64{\mu}m$), and between 1.0W group($44.54{\pm}6.99{\mu}m$) and 4.0W group($111.36{\pm}4.50{\mu}m$), and between 2.0W group($98.01{\pm}4.53{\mu}m$) and 4.0W group($111.36{\pm}4.50{\mu}m$)(P<0.05). 3. The coagulated layer depth was deeper in the irradiated specimens with higher power. There was a statistical significance in the difference of coagulated layer depth between 1.0W group($31.82{\pm}8.99{\mu}m$) and 3.0W group($55.99{\pm}20.94{\mu}m$), and between 1.0W group($31.82{\pm}8.99{\mu}m$) and 4.0W group($83.68{\pm}10.34{\mu}m$)(P<0.05). From this study, the results demonstrated that the effects of a pulsed Nd:YAG laser irradiation on gingival tissues seemed to depend on the laser power and that the irradiation with high power could be harmful to adjacent healthy tissue.

강릉지역 2009~2018년 해풍 발생 특성 (Occurrence Characteristics of Sea Breeze in the Gangneung Region for 2009~2018)

  • The Gangneung region has the complicated geographical characteristics being adjacent to East Sea and Taeback mountains, and thus sea breeze could play an important role in local weather in various aspects. This study aims to understand overall characteristics of sea breeze largely based on long-term (2009~2018) ground-based observation data. We also propose a selection criteria of sea breeze occurrence day; 1) daily precipitation is less than 10 mm, 2) surface wind direction is 0~110° (northerly to easterly) for more than 3 hours during the daytime, 3) wind direction is 110~360° for more than 3 hours during the nighttime, and 4) land and sea temperature difference is positive during the daytime, 5) sea and land sea-level pressure difference is more than 0.5 hPa. As a result, a total of 595 days was selected for the past 10 years. The occurrence of sea breeze is the highest in late Spring to early Summer (May to June). The passage time of sea breeze at the inland station (1.6 km farther inland) is one hour later than the coastal station. On the typical sea breeze event of April 12, 2019, the passage speed and duration of sea breeze was 15 km hr-1 and about 9 hours, respectively, with its depth of about 500 m and its head swelling. The current results emphasize the critical role of sea breeze in forecasting surface temperature and wind, and contribute to relieve heat wave especially in summer in the Yeongdong region.

실내모형시험을 통한 흙막이벽체 버팀대 변형에 따른 흙막이벽체 및 인접터널의 거동 (Behavior of wall and nearby tunnel due to deformation of strut of braced wall using laboratory model test)

  • 흙막이벽체 시공 중 버팀대에 문제가 발생하여 변형되거나 제 기능을 상실하게 되면 흙막이벽체에 과다한 변형의 원인이 된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 모형시험을 통해 시공 중 흙막이벽체의 버팀대 일부가 기능을 상실하게 되었을 때 흙막이 벽체의 거동특성 및 배면에 인접한 터널의 거동을 파악하고자 하였다. 연구 결과, 흙막이벽체의 변형으로 인해 배면지반의 토압이 재배치되고 지표변위를 발생시켜 인접한 터널의 변형에 영향을 미쳤으며, 터널에서 가장 가까운 측벽에 위치한 버팀대를 제거하였을 때 흙막이벽체 변형 및 터널변형이 가장 크게 나타났다. 터널의 위치에 따른 평균 전이토압은 터널 심도가 0.65D에서 2.65D로 깊어짐에 따라 평균 25.6% 증가하였으며, 흙막이벽체와 터널과의 이격거리가 0.5D에서 1.0D로 증가함에 따라 전이토압이 평균 16% 증가하였다. 버팀대 제거에 따른 흙막이벽체의 수평변위는 제거되는 버팀대 부근에 집중되는 경향을 보였으며 버팀대 제거위치가 하부로 내려갈수록 수평변위는 비선형적으로 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 터널 내공변위는 토피고 1.15D, 수평거리 0.5D일 때 최대 내공변위가 발생하였고, 토피고 2.65D, 수평거리 1.0D에서 최소 내공변위가 발생하였다. 가상파괴면이 터널의 중심부를 통과하는 범위인 토피고 1.15~1.65D, 수평거리 0.5D에서 터널의 내공변위가 크게 증가하는 것으로 검토되었으며, 최대 내공변위와 최소 내공변위의 차이는 약 2배 정도 발생하였다.
