  • We propose a new technique to the design and real-time implementation of an adaptive controller for robotic manipulator based on digital signal processors in this paper. The Texas Instruments DSPs(TMS320C80) chips are used in implementing real-time adaptive control algorithms to provide enhanced motion control performance for dual-arm robotic manipulators. In the proposed scheme, adaptation laws are derived from model reference adaptive control principle based on the improved direct Lyapunov method. The proposed adaptive controller consists of an adaptive feed-forward and feedback controller and time-varying auxiliary controller elements. The proposed control scheme is simple in structure, fast in computation, and suitable for real-time control. Moreover, this scheme does not require any accurate dynamic modeling, nor values of manipulator parameters and payload. Performance of the proposed adaptive controller is illustrated by simulation and experimental results for a dual arm robot consisting of two 4-d.o.f. robots at the joint space and cartesian space.

  • The adaptive control of a plant in the presence of disturbance is considered. In sevral papers, it was shown that bounded disturbance made the basic adaptive scheme unstable. For achieving robust stability in adaptive control system in the presence of disturbance, the pureintegration in the adaptive law is limited by means of an additional feedback term. In this paper, the suggested adaptive control law has property that the output error converges to zero whether the disturbance exist or not, without the priori knowledge. The adaptive controller suggested assure the boundness of all signal in the overall system. Finally, computer simulation show the effectiveness of the suggested adaptive control law.

  • This paper gives an overview of the relationships between methods of loaming and adaptive control. It is the objective of this paper to develop adaptive learning control algorithms that combine the advantages of adaptive control with those of leaning control to the extent possible for the type of system model used. The robustness of this adaptive loaming control with respect to reinitialization errors and fluctuation of dynamics from disturbance is analyzed extensively. Simulation results have shown to verify the effectiveness of the proposed control algorithm.

  • This paper presents a new approachtothe design of adaptive control system using DSPs(TMS320C30) for robotic manipulators to achieve trajectory tracking by the joint angles. Digital signal processors are used in implementing real time adaptive control algorithms to provide an enhanced motion control for robotic manipulators. In the proposed control scheme, adaptation laws are derived from the improved Lyapunov second stability analysis method based on the adaptive model reference control theory. The adaptive controller consists of an adaaptive feedforward controller, feedback controller, and PID type time-varying auxillary control elements. • The performance of the adaptive noise canceller using LMS algorithm is degraded by the gradient noise due to target speech signals. An adaptive noise canceller with speech detector was proposed to reduce this performande degradation. The speech detector utilized the adaptive prediction-error filter adapted by the NLMS algorithm. This paper discusses to enhance the performance of the adaptive noise canceller forthecorlored noise. The affine projection algorithm, which is known as faster than NLMS algorithm for correlated signals, is used to adapt the adaptive filter and the adaptive prediction error filter. When the voice signals are detected by the speech detector, coefficients of adaptive filter are adapted by the sign-error afine projection algorithm which is modified to reduce the miaslignment of adaptive filter coefficients. Otherwirse, they are adapted by affine projection algorithm. To obtain better performance, the proper step size of sign-error affine projection algorithm is discussed. As resutls of computer simulation, it is shown that the performance of the proposed ANC is better than that of conventional one.

  • Many paper about the adaptive algorithm based to LS(Least Square) to improve convergence speed are already presented. In this paper, we propose a wavelet based adaptive algorithm which improves the convergence speed and reduces computational complexity, and adapt two kinds of adaptive noise cancelers using the characteristic of speech signal. We compared the performance of the nosed algorithm with time and frequency domain adaptive algorithm using computer simulation of adaptive noise canceler based on synthesis speech. As the result the proposed algorithm is suitable for adaptive signal processing area using speech or acoustic signal.
