Stable adaptive observer for state Identification in control system (안정한 적응관측기법에 의한 제어계의 상태추정)

  • Up to now, using adaptive control method, Identification deals with system whose entire state variables and prameters are accessible for measurement. In practical situations, all the state variables cannot be measured and it is impossible to directly apply since the parameters of the system are unknown. Therefore, in this paper, using only input-output data, such a model of the system is not available since the parameters of the system are unknown. this leads to the concept of an adptive observer in which both the parameters and the state variable of the system are identified simultaniously. Lyapunov's direct method and Kalman-Yakubovich (K-Y) lemma are employed to ensure the stability of this schemes. The feature is that the signal and adaptive gain which is generated from filter is imposed upon feedback vector and then state variables and the unknown parameters can be identified. To show the usefulness of the proposed schemes, computer simulation result of unknown second-order system shows the effectiveness of the proposed schems.

  • A distinctive feature in vibration control of a large civil infrastructure is the existence of large disturbances, such as wind, earthquake, and sea wave forces. Those disturbances govern the behavior of the structure, however, they cannot be precisely measured, especially for the case of wind-induced vibration control. The sliding mode fuzzy control (SMFC), which is of interest in this study, may use not only the structural response measurement but also the wind force measurement. Hence, an adaptive disturbance estimation filter is introduced to generate a wind force vector at each time instance based on the measured structural response and the stochastic information of the wind force. The structure of the filter is constructed based on an auto-regressive with auxiliary input model. A numerical simulation is carried out on a benchmark problem of a wind-excited building. The results indicate that the overall performance of the proposed SMFC is as good as the other methods and that most of the performance indices improve as the adaptive disturbance estimation filter is introduced.

  • In this paper, implementation of active mufflers using multiple channel adaptive IIR filter is presented. Usually, recursive LMS(RLMS) algorithms for adaptive IIR filters are highly efficient than filtered-X LMS(FXLMS) algorithms, when the order of both algorithms are the same. However, RLMS algorithms usually diverge before the algorithms arenot yet converged. So, the prefilters are presented to improve the stability by pulling the poles of feedback control transfer function in the beginning of active noise control and returning the original poles after the filters converge. The engine noises of diesel engine automobiles and gasoline engine automobiles are analyzed and the mathematical model of an active muffler is derived. Computer simulations and experiments are performed to show the effectiveness of the proposed systems.

  • Noise can make surrounding environments inferior and deteriorates operation efficiency, and it can bring aural damage as well as give a person psychological stress. Therefore, necessity of study about noise control is increased for better labor conditions and agreeable habitat. In this paper, implementation of active mufflers using active noise control techniques is presented. The LMS algorithm is used for adaptive filter algorithms. Computer simulations and experiments using TMS320C32 digital signal processor have performed to show the effectiveness of a proposed algorithm.

  • Fuzzy controller design consists of intuition, and any other information about how to control system, into a set of rules. These rules can then be applied to the system. It is very important to decide parameters of IF-THEN rules. Because fuzzy controller can make more adequate force to the plant by means of parameter optimization, which is accomplished by learning procedure. In this paper, we apply fuzzy controller designed to the inverted pendulum.

  • Underwater TRN (Underwater Terrain Referenced Navigation) estimates an underwater vehicle state by measuring a distance between the vehicle and undersea terrain, and comparing it with the known terrain database. TRN belongs to absolute navigation methods, which are used to compensate a drift error of dead reckoning measurements such as IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) or DVL (Doppler Velocity Log). However, underwater TRN is different to other absolute methods such as USBL (Ultra-Short Baseline) and LBL (Long Baseline), because TRN is independent of the external environment. As a magnetic-field-based navigation, TRN is a kind of geophysical navigation. This paper develops an EKF (Extended Kalman Filter) formulation for underwater TRN. A filter propagation part is composed by an inertial navigation system, and a filter update is executed with echo-sounder measurement. For large-initial-error cases, an adaptive EKF approach is also presented, to keep the filter be stable. At the end, simulation studies are given to verify the performance of the proposed TRN filter. With simplified sensor and terrain database models, the simulation results show that the underwater TRN could support conventional underwater navigation methods.

  • 본 논문에서는 MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching)망의 네트워크 자원을 효율적으로 사용 하기위한 MPLS 망의 단계별 리라우트 기법을 제안한다. MPLS 망 내에서 특정 노드가 혼잡할 경우 노드의 단계별 등급을 증가 시켜서 리라우트하는 기법이다. 이는 LSP (Label Switched Path)를 통해 입구노드에서 출구노드까지의 최소 비용 경로가 정해진 상태에서 경로상의 어느 특정 노드가 트래픽의 증가로 인해 혼잡이 발생하면 자신이 가지고 있는 일정 등급 이상의 값을 가질 경우 경로 재설정 메시지를 통하여 새로운 대체 복구 경로를 찾아 리라우트한다. 또한 혼잡이 발생한 노드가 혼잡에서 벗어나 등급이 원래의 값으로 돌아올 경우 최초 정해진 경로상의 최소 비용을 갖는 최적 경로로 다시 리라우트 된다. 이는 제안하는 단계별 리라우트 기법이 입 출구 LER에 집중되는 스트레스를 모든 망 내의 자원이 분담함으로써 효율적으로 사용할 수 있는 방안을 보여줄 수 있다.

  • In this paper, the active backlight control technology with data processing algorithm was developed in order to improve image quality for IPS-mode LCD-TV applications. The image blinking problem caused by repeatedly abrupt change of the backlight luminance was solved by algorithms-Fba(Flexible Boundary algorithm) and Cfa(Cumulative Feedback algorithm)-and the optimized number and space of backlight dimming steps based on perception. In the IPS-mode 42" TFT-LCD panel, the dynamic contrast ratio can be more than twice the typical level by means of lower block luminance and higher white luminance. Additionally, Power consumption and LCD temperature was decreased.

  • In shipbuilding industry, welding position are usually flat and vertical position at the erection stage. Application of SAW and EGW for these positions makes it possible to achieve enhanced productivity and high quality. But owing to their large size and weight it is difficult to apply these techniques in short and narrow regions. To overcome this problem, our company developed light weight and compact size 4-axis welding carriage which perform 3D weaving. The purpose of this study is to explain the development and application of intelligent welding carriage using 3D weaving pattern that can fill a large amount of welds and thereby making it possible to achieve high quality of welding. This study shows 3D weaving pattern, development of weaving database, and skill of adaptive control response for the variable gap. Also, it shows the results of procedure qualification test for the AH-grade steel when applied to the intelligent welding carriage.
