Context-aware adaptive service for overcoming the limitations of wireless devices and maintaining adequate service levels in changing environments is becoming an important issue. However, most existing studies concentrate on an adaptation module on the client, proxy, or server. These existing studies thus suffer from the problem of having the workload concentrated on a single system when the number of users increases md, and as a result, increases the response time to a user's request. Therefore, in this paper the adaptation module is dispersed and arranged over the client, proxy, and server. The module monitors the contort of the system and creates a proposition as to the dispersed adaptation system in which the most adequate system for conducting operations. Through this method faster adaptation work will be made possible even when the numbers of users increase, and more stable system operation is made possible as the workload is divided. In order to evaluate the proposed system, a prototype is constructed and dispersed operations are tested using multimedia based learning content, simulating server overload and compared the response times and system stability with the existing server based adaptation method. The effectiveness of the system is confirmed through this results.

This paper describes the open API with integration of semantic web service with PARLAY X based open API in 4G mobile network. It can be expected that the intelligence such as the context-awareness, adaptation and personalization in 4G mobile network will be deployed. But the existing PARLAY based network lacks in considering context-awareness, adaptation and personalization. Therefore, the object of this paper is to support the architecture and the Application Programming Interface (API) of the network service for the context-awareness, adaptation and Personalization in 4G mobile network The open API is to provide users with the adaptive network service to the changing context constraints as well as detecting the changing context and user's Preference. For instance, the open API can Provide users with QoS in network according to the detected context and user's preference, after detecting the context such as location and speed and user's preference.

This paper proposes an intelligent context awareness middleware(ICAM) for Ubiquitous Computing Environment. In this paper we have researched about the context awareness middleware. The ICAM model is based on ontology that efficiently manages analyses and learns about various context information and can provide intelligent services that satisfy the human requirements. Therefore, various intelligent services will improve user's life environment. We also describe the current implementation of the ICAM for service adaptation based on fuzzy inference that help applications to adapt their ubiquitous computing environments according to rapidly changing. For this, after defining the requirements specifications of ICAM, we have researched the inferred processes for the higher level of context awareness. The Fuzzy Theory has been used in process of inferences, and showed constructing the model through the service process. Also, the proposed fuzzy inferences has been applied to smart Jacky, and after inferring the fuzzy values according to the change of temperature, showed the adaptability of Smart Jacky according to the change of surroundings like temperature as showing the optimal value of status.

In this paper, we propose an adaptive multi-view video service framework suitable for mobile environments. The proposed framework generates intermediate views in near-realtime and overcomes the limitations of mobile services by adapting the multi-view video according to the processing capability of a mobile device as well as the user characteristics of a client. By implementing the most of adaptation processes at the server side, the load on a client can be reduced. H.264/AVC is adopted as a compression scheme. The framework could provide an interactive service with efficient video service to a mobile client. For this, we present a multi-view video DIA (Digital Item Adaptation) that adapts the multi-view video according to the MPEG-21 DIA multimedia framework. Experimental results show that our proposed system can support a frame rate of 13 fps for 320{\times}240 video and reduce the time of generating an intermediate view by 20 % compared with a conventional 3D projection method.

This study analyze the factors that can improve the satisfaction level of college students stable adaptation to college life and education service. It was analyzed whether students' personal characteristics, college life-related characteristics, and changes in college life Adaptation increase the satisfaction of college education service. As a result of analyzing CAT(college adatiation test) differences of 1st survey and 2nd survey in the results of the total 368 students, the graduates of the academic high school showed high academic integration and social integration and the social integration was high in the types of regular admission. As a result of multiple regression analysis with the increase in college education service satisfaction as a dependent variable, the lower the language score, the more positive changes in academic integrity, career identity, college satisfaction, relationship with professors, economic stability, and study keeping stability. Based on these results, various student support programs were proposed to increase the college education service satisfaction of college students.

This research aims to show that the context adaptation system can be used to develop practical context-aware applications by developing a restaurant recommendation system based on location-awareness. In this research, we have designed and implemented a location-aware restaurant recommendation system which provides a customized restaurant recommendation service based on the user's current context. The context-adaptation engine adapts the application program according to the policy file as contexts are changed, and the application provides restaurant recommendation service based on the changed context like location.

There are many current researches that are looking to improve the quality of HTTP adaptive streaming services. However, the existing schemes have a serious problem of QoE (Quality of Experience) degradation because few consider VBR video transmission. To cope with this problem, in this paper, we proposed a novel media quality adaptation scheme called CB-DASH (Content and Buffer-aware DASH). The proposed scheme controlled the video quality considering the VBR characteristics of video and the client's buffer state. Through the simulation, we proved that our scheme accomplished a more accurate estimated bandwidth than the conventional DASH and improved the QoE of streaming service.

To support multimedia services between network domains with different environments, it is required to map the functionalities in many aspects. In this paper, we implemented interworking gateway which provides protocol conversion and QoS(Quality of Service) adaptation to interwork DAVIC services based on ATM(Asynchronous TRansfer Model )network and Internet AV services. The interworking gateway converts RTSP(Real-Time Streaming Protocol ) message into DSM-CC(Digital Storage Media Command & Control) messages to control the stream that is served in ATM network, and transmits data stream by using RTP(Real-Time Transport Protocol) The interworking gateway provides QoS adaptation functionalities by QoS monitoring and MPEG filtering to meet the variation of network bandwidth.

This research is to verify the effects of infant massage on teacher-infant interaction and nursery adaptation. The subjects were 20 infants younger than one year of age, and the experimental group and the control group were randomly assigned. I developed an infant massage activity and trained an infant teacher to do it with 30-hours workshop. The massage was accomplished a total of 18 times, 3 times a week for 6 weeks. The research tools employed are the Caregiver Interaction Scale(CIS) which was developed by Arnett(1989) and employed by Kim(2009) and the Preschool Adjustment Questionaire(PAQ) which was employed by Yang(2005). They were modified and supplemented for this study to serve as a teacher rating scale. The collected data was analyzed after the experiment service through the t-verification. The results showed that the experimental group that took the infant massage scored higher than the control group in both teacher-infant interaction and nursery adaptation. Therefore, it demonstrated that infant massage has an effect on positive and permissive interaction in teacher-infant interaction and nursery adaptation.

This study proposes an Architecture for user level End-to-end Quality of Service(QoS) using overlay In Next Generation Network(NGN). Inexisting NGNs, the IMS of a control plane provides user QoS through direct traffic control and resource-reservation over the IP packet transport network of a user plane. Further, a set of torrent studies are ongoing not only to maximize the QoS for users, but also to minimize the quality deterioration for supporting the user End-to-end QoS. Along with that, an extended QoS in user level must be considered, for Instance, differentiating service quality to support users' expectation, providing optimized contents by users' equipments, and so forth. Accordingly, the Overlay Service Network Architecture proposed by this study provides protocol adaptation for maximum throughput on transport layer by using the most efficient transport layer protocol to various network circumstances. Also, the Overlay Service Network Architecture on application layer distributes processing delay from the data transformation process of the user equipment to the network, and it is capable of intermediate processing depending on user service level. application service feature, and equipment circumstance as well. Thus, this study mainly proposes the Overlay Service Network Architecture for user level end-to-end QoS in NGN with the quality control features both on the transport layer and the application layer, an internal component feature, and a service scenario providing the QoS linking with 3GPP.
