This study identified predictors of intention to work among people with disabilities who maintain economic inactivity for two successive years by analyzing a total of 2,255 Participants in the 2014 data of the Panel Survey of Employment for the Disabled (PSED) with through $X^2$, t test, logistic regression. To explore factors affecting intention to work among people with disabilities who maintain economic inactivity, this study hypothesized the effectiveness of variables of demographic, disability, human resources, psycho-social factors based on previous studies. The analysis showed that male, spouse-being, low income status out of demographic variables were related to high probability of having intention to work among people with disabilities who maintain economic inactivity. In case of disability variables, experiencing disability-related discrimination significantly predicted the probability of having intention to work. However, the relationship between disability-related discrimination experiences and high intention to work needs to be viewed as correlated rather than cause-and-effect.In addition, literacy related to computer use/English proficiency/interpersonal and adaptation skills(human resources), experiences of vocational rehabilitation services (human resources), self-esteem (psycho-social) significantly predicted the probability of having intention to work among people with disabilities who maintained economic inactivity. Based on these results, support services for females with disabilities, effective rehabilitation programs of improving literacy related to computer use/English proficiency/interpersonal and adaptation skills and self-esteem, general expansion of vocational rehabilitation services for people with disabilities are suggested.
The military of the Republic of Korea has had the world's strongest combat powers through systematic training and has been preparing for future wars with advanced arms. As the arms have been developed for the future, the medicine also has made so much progress that the average life expectancy has increased about 30-40years compared to the past. Even though different problems about professional soldiers who have relatively lower retirement age, have come the surface, there seems to be no particular measures for them. Although they try to apply their ability and experiences obtained by the life in the military to the social life, they feel a great sense of loss when they realize that there is not many thing to apply. The job as a professional soldier has been everything for them, but the time to be discharged has come. However, this is the second act of their life, and also they have much longer social life than that in the military. Strong determination is needed to prepare wisely and rigorously for that and then to live a happy life as a member of society.
This study aims to examine attributes of fandom related to storytelling of media conversion in terms of division of obsession and hysteria from the psychoanalysis. Fandom of crossmedia storytelling represented by adaptation of the original is the subject who experienced a great satisfaction from the original and also the obsessive subject who does not accept easily story transformation by adaptation. Besides, fandom of transmedia storytelling is the hysterical subject who recognizes lack of the storyworld and enjoys such a lack. The original fandom of crossmedia enjoys phallic order in the authority of an original author and the original storyworld, and fandom of transmedia experiences continual and infinite 'other enjoyment' through active and direct experience beyond the linguistic order. This study is a theoretical argument to identify characteristics of fandom shown from both extremes of media conversion through comparison of obsession and hysteria. It is expected to prepare a foundation for understanding fandom of media conversion through complementing qualitative analysis on the real fandom in the follow-up research.
This study was performed to define the adaptation patterns of each skeletal components to the flexures of cranial bases, using 91 males from the ages of 17 to 36 and 64 females from the ages of 16 to 34, without orthodontic or prosthetic treatment experiences and with pleasant profiles as subjects. The conclusions are as follow: 1. When considering the changes of flexure of cranial base (Ba-SE-FMN) in both sexes, changes in the anterior cranial base angle to the PM Vertical line (SE-FMN/PMV) were greater than the changes in the posterior cranial base angle to the PM Vertical line (Ba-SE/PMV). Subsequently the nasomaxillary complex showed antero-superior rotating effect as the cranial base angles were increased and postero-inferior rotating effect as they were decreased. 2. Horizontal mandibular angle (Ba-SE-Me) was increased in both sexes as cranial base angle increases (Ba-SE-FMN) and it decreased as the latter was decreases. There by indicating compensatory effects. 3. Maxillary angle (SE-FMN-A) was decreased in both sexes as cranial base angle (Ba-SE-FMN) increases and it increased as the latter was decreased. There by indicating compensatory effects. 4. Mandibular ramus angle to posterior cranial base was decreased in both sexes as cranial base angle increases. There by indicating compensatory effect to anteriorly displaced maxilla and the mandibular ramus angle was increased as the cranial base angle decreases. There by indicating compensatory effect to posteriorly displace maxilla. 5. The length of posterior upper facial height was decreased in both sexes as the cranial base angle increases and it increased as the latter was decreased.

Deokjin Park in Jeonju City was the site of a pond during the Koryo Period. Although Jeonju City has developed rapidly in modem times, Deokjin Pond was preserved and was developed into a park It can be theorized that Deokjin Pond's latent character has made it possible for it to adapt to the changes it has undergone throgh the years. In this study, the placeness of Deokjin Park is determined by examining its role in the adaptation process. Placeness can be determined by examining the objective character of a certain environment and the subjective experience related to it. For this paper, documents about the history of Deokjin Park were examined so that the facts related to it could be established. In addition, a number of Jeonju citizens were asked about their memories of Deokjin Park since memories reveal people's subjective experiences. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. Deokjin Pond is an ideal space for Feng Shui. It is a holy place because the tomb of the founder of the Chosun Dynasty is close to it. In addition, it has scenic value as it is part of the Jeonju Palkyoung (eight sceneries). To this day, we can see people washing their hair in the pond, proof that Deokjin Pond is still the subject of folk beliefs. When Korea was under Japanese rule, Deokjin Pond became Deokjin Park because of its ideal location, scenic value, and grand possibilities as an amusement center. Over the years, though its scenic value decreased after the death of its pine trees. Jeonju City, however, was able to revive the park's charm though a series of renovation projects and through the addition of several facilities. Deokjin Park is now surrounded by many cultural buildings. The significance of Deokjin Park can be expected to evolve with these changes. This study helps to predict the future of Deokjin Park and to elucidate the importance of landscape architecture from the point of view of an "evolving place."

Korea has experienced an increase in the number of immigrants in accordance with accelerated globalization. In particular, the rapid surge in international marriages and multicultural families has created social adaptation or inclusion problems for these families in Korean society. This paper examines how information services or technological education programs affect the social integration of marriage migrant women in Korea. Using survey data on international marriage migrant women, we conducted multiple and logistic regression models to examine the relationship between information and technology services and life satisfaction and employment status. The results show that the experience of using social services tends to have positive effects on life satisfaction. Having experiences of information services or technological education improves marriage migrant women's chances of employment and increases their willingness to work or start a business. This indicates the importance of information services or technological educational training and social services in improving social adaptation and integration of marriage migrant women in Korea.

The purpose of this study is to explore what obstacles adult undergraduate experience in adapting to college life. To this end, in-depth interviews were conducted with 32 adult undergraduate attending colleges in Daegu and Gyeongbuk. For the study, Colaizzi's phenomenological research method was used and analyzed. As a result of the analysis, eight factors such as relation obstacle, bachelor's and curriculum operation obstacle, social recognition obstacle, study ability obstacle, college environment obstacle, economic obstacle, personal disposition obstacle, and temporal obstacle were found. Through the above research results, it was found that the college environment, which is operated mainly by general college students, is expressed as various types of obstacle for adult undergraduate who work and study at various ages and experiences. Based on the derived obstacle factors, it is expected that a follow-up study will be conducted to develop a measurement tool that can empirically explore the obstacle of adult undergraduate to adapt to college life.
The present study comprehensively explored the experiences of cognitive decline and of overcoming such decline in climacteric women to gain a deeper understanding of these women's cognitive health issues. Fourteen climacteric women were recruited, and data were collected through in-depth qualitative interviews. The collected data were analyzed using phenomenological methods suggested by Colliazzi. The quality of the present study was further improved according to the evaluative criteria for rigor suggested by Lincoln and Guba. The interviews resulted in 210 statements, 43 significant statements, 17 themes, and 5 theme clusters. The theme clusters were "loss of memory and distraction in everyday life," "struggle to overcome," "greeting an inevitable guest," "conforming to life changes," and "dreams of the past and future plans." As they experienced menopause, the participating women experienced decline in memory and concentration, as well as problems communicating. Climacteric women experienced cognitive decline during menopause and made significant efforts to overcome it; therefore, effective programs that promote cognitive function and adaptation should be provided for climacteric women.
BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: Food shortage situation in North Korea has gained much interest, however food insecurity caused by the food shortage in North Korean households has not been much investigated. This study examined food security experiences and food consumption pattern of displaced North Korean households currently living in South Korea. SUBJECTS/METHODS: Food security experience among 51 North Korean households living in South Korea was examined using the Household Food Insecurity Access Scale (HFIAS) in three time points: immediately before childbirth, immediately before leaving North Korea, and immediately before entering South Korea. Meal/snack consumption frequencies and food diversity were also examined. RESULTS: Food security situation was the worst at the time of immediately before leaving North Korea with the average HFIAS score of 10.05. The households that were food insecure, they tended to be "severely" insecure. Although majority of the subjects reported having three or more meals a day, food diversity in their diet was very low with the average food diversity score of 2.17 immediately before childbirth and 1.74 immediately before leaving North Korea. Their diet appeared to heavily rely on grain and vegetable. CONCLUSIONS: This study is one of few that specifically examined food security of North Korean households with a pre-developed scale, and that demonstrated food security situation at different time points in quantified terms. Replicating this study with different groups of North Korean households for different time points would allow more complete understanding of impacts of food shortage. Food diversity score could provide a good way to examine changes of food consumption occurring to North Koreans in the process of adaptation. More attention to the changes occurring during adaption to South Korea should be given to understand the process and impact and to prepare public nutrition policy for the re-unified Korea.
