  • This study delivers the actual condition of investment for industrial accident prevention based on survey of 526 construction sites. The various research techniques were used such as technical statistic analysis for construction industry, construction and civil engineering works, cost comparison of industrial accident prevention and accident loss. A formula was deduced to calculate accident loss and accident frequency by accident prevention cost through regression analysis.

  • Providing the reasonable construction cost at the initial stage of the rural development project, is a kety factor of the each step of project , such as propriety analysis , cost planning , design, and planning the progress of work. The explainable construction cost can be estimated at the early stage using the actual cost data by statistical analysis. In this study, the influence factors are extracted by factor analysis with the actual cost data of rural development project, object cost model is developed by multiple regression analysis, and verify the developed cost model by Monte-Carlo simulation .

  • This study for construction of golf courses is to present basic information and pattern of change of construction cost by looking at the capacity of construction, requiring time and other aspects. The propose of this study is to develop the model of brief cost expected by using cost index and analyzing the actual work cost data gathered in golf course construction industry in Korea. The equation used for the cost-capacity index in other to deliver the expected construction cost is followed next. The results of this study, by regression analysis for the information of 7 golf courses, it could be found the cost-capacity index n, such as 0.72 for whole construction, 0.67 for net construction.

  • Recently our government operates earned value management system (EVMS) for improving work management system of the construction projects over specific scale. The EVMS is based on the integrated management between construction cost and schedule, the existing systems, however, are focused on the cost management by using wort quantity. This study suggests a work management mode1 to integrate construction cost with activity information. The model introduces a work task concept as a tool that can connect construction cost to activity information. The suggested model in this study is verified by using actual data for the applicability to practical construction projects.

  • The ability to make good cost overruns predictions is a very important aspect of in major construction project. The probabilistic cost models can provide more reliable than traditional cost models which have been used in korea to prepare Bill of Quantities, if the actual cost data are sufficient enough to analyze the trends of the variables. The paper considers non-deterministic methods in a cost estimate. The method(referred to as the 'Monte Carlo simulation' method) interprets cost data indirectly, to generate a probability distribution for total costs from the deficient elemental experience cost distribution.   • The rebar work is very related to the safety and durability of the building. Recently, the rebar work is produced some serious problems due to the lack of skillful crafts-man and the rising cost of rebar materials. Many papers have dealt with the rebar work of the manufacturing system in plants with a view to improvement those problems. But, the research on the rebar work of the manufacturing system in field is in a insignificant condition. This study presents the following improvement schemes as a result. First, the education strengthening for evaluation on practical affairs, second, the reinforcement of drawing & management in shop drawing and finally the simplification of apartment rebar work in slab. Also, this paper aims at advancing apartment rebar work by the actual condition survey in slab work. The further research will be needed about the whole structure parts such as foundation, wall, girder and rebar truss-deck plate as one of the improvement methods.

  • It is an important issue in cost management to contract with the standard of cost estimate by the reasonable way in public construction projects. For the standard of cost estimate based on the Standard Estimating System, there is a difference of labor inputs between Standard Estimating System and actual quantities in construction projects. The duration of form work in multi-family housing depends on the manpower compared with other work, which is the critical path on the schedule management to be decided quality, and is the important to the cost management of construction projects. This study presented a simulation model of the productivity analysis for selecting the standard work type of form work in Multi-family housing construction projects.

  • In construction sites, small-scale construction quantities or limited work hours below the daily work volume may occur due to on-site conditions. For small-scale quantities, the input of equipment and labor is designed based on an hourly basis in the invoice, resulting in a difference from the actual cost. In this study, we aim to explore solutions from the perspective of construction cost standards to secure appropriate construction costs for small-scale and time-limited construction sites. Firstly, to preserve the basic construction costs on-site, we established standards where half the cost would be charged for construction quantities below four hours and a full day's cost would be designed for construction quantities between four to eight hours. Additionally, realistic construction cost calculation standards are expected to be provided by realizing a surcharge rate for work hour limitations to secure appropriate construction costs.
