Bead Visualization Using Spline Algorithm (스플라인 알고리즘을 이용한 비드 가시화)

  • In this research paper, suggest method of generate same bead as an actual measurement data in virtual welding conditions, exploit morphology information of the bead that acquired through robot welding. It has many multiple risk factors to Beginners welding training, by we make possible to train welding in virtual reality, we can reduce welding training risk and welding material to exploit bead visualization algorithm that we suggest so it will be expected to achieve educational, environmental and economical effect. The proposed method is acquire data to each case performing robot welding by set the voltage, current, working angle, process angle, speed and arc length of welding condition value. As Welding condition value is most important thing in decide bead form, we would selected one of baseline each item and then acquired metal followed another factors change. Welding type is FCAW, SMAW and TIG. When welding trainee perform the training, it's difficult to save all of changed information into database likewise working angle, process angle, speed and arc length. So not saving data into database are applying the method to infer the form of bead using a neural network algorithm. The way of bead's visualization is applying the spline algorithm. To accurately represent Morphological information of the bead, requires much of morphological information, so it can occur problem to save into database that is why we using the spline algorithm. By applying the spline algorithm, it can make simplified data and generate accurate bead shape. Through the research paper, the shape of bead generated by the virtual reality was able to improve the accuracy when compared using the form of bead generated by the robot welding to using the morphological information of the bead generated through the robot welding. By express the accurate shape of bead and so can reduce the difference of the actual welding training and virtual welding, it was confirmed that it can be performed safety and high effective virtual welding education.

A Study on the Actual Condition of Food Hygiene Safety Awareness, Food Hygiene Attitude, and Personal Hygiene Control of Male and Female college students in South Chungcheong Province (충남지역 남녀 대학생의 식품위생안전인식, 식품위생태도, 개인위생관리에 대한 실태조사 연구)

  • This study aims to provide basic data for food hygiene safety education by surveying the status of food hygiene safety awareness, attitude, and personal hygiene control of male and female college students in South Chungcheong Province, Republic of KOREA. From May 16 to June 30, 2019, 1,048 survey responses were collected at H University and analyzed statistically using SPSS 23.0. This study found males believed agricultural, livestock, and fisheries products (3.37, 3.08), and processed foods (3.40, 3.00) to be significantly safer, and information on food safety was easier to obtain (3.40, 3.00) than females. They were also more confident in choosing safe food (3.30, 2.97), than females. This indicates that males are more aware of food hygiene safety than females. On the other hand, females responded that they checked the expiration date (4.11, 4.40) and stored food according to characteristics (4.08, 4.30) than males, wash their hands after using the toilet(4.23 4.53) than males. This suggests that females were more aware of food hygiene attitudes and personal hygiene control than males. According to this study, college students' awareness of food hygiene safety and attitude, personal hygiene control showed a gender gap. Males had higher food hygiene safety awareness than females, but their awareness of food hygiene attitudes and personal hygiene control was lower. This suggests that differentiated food hygiene safety education is needed considering these gender differences.

  • Purpose. Because traditional statistics approach had limitations in learning future forecasting and major factors causing occupational injuries in each industry, this paper develops a model forecasting and evaluating occupational injury rate by using a system dynamics model through the analysis of the industry injury statistics and the project for industry injury prevention. Method. The model of this paper consists of 12 total models such as a model of employees, of industrial disaster victims, of injury rate, etc.; In the analysis of firm size, it is classified and developed according to 12 groups on the basis of the number of employees, and in the analysis of industrial classification, it is done according to 10 total business fields such as manufacturing business, construction one, etc. Results. This paper suggests the methodology which forecasts industry injury rate by business field and size on the basis of developed model, and evaluates an industry injury prevention project from various angles. Conclusions. This paper deduced problem through the analysis of an industry injury by business fields and a comparative analysis of foreign cases, and analyzed to affect industry injury prevention by industry. And it also analyzed actual condition of industry injury, and did a difference in the level of safety consciousness according to the general characteristics of workers and occupational safety and health education related characteristics. In result, this paper suggests that analyzing occupational injury related factors, a safety budgetary allocation, and industry injury related factors can reduce illness costs such as employees' injury and medical care, and also assist cost for a disability.

A Study on the Problems and Character for Management of Fire Prevention at the Wholesale Markets (도매시장 화재안전관리 측면에서의 특성 및 취약요소에 관한 연구)

  • There are lots of buildings with their deterioration in wholesale markets which have high concentration that can cause big fire due to difficulty of installing fire protection system in fire compartment, absence of safety awareness, access by many and unspecified people. There had been big fire that caused by these kind of fire weakness such as Seomun Market's in 2005 which costed tens of millions dollar, Dongmun Shopping District’s with 7 casualties. Now counter-measure against these fire is urgently needed. This study drew characteristic of current condition of wholesale markets and the one classified by main agent, fire cases and prevention of fire through statistical data. Also, current condition of fire prevention management and actual state were investigated by conducting a survey of person in charge of fire prevention and current practician. As a result, it was shown that securing professionalism of fire prevention, improvement of structural weakness of buildings, obtaining reliability on performance of fire protection system and internal fire education against practician in the market are needed.

On the Countermeasure for Preventing the Accident of Cargo Handling in Port (항만하역관할의 원인분석 및 예방대책에 관하여)

  • The economy of Korea has grown up significantly in its scale. It has, therefore, become imperative to develop countermeasures to prevent work related injuries and occupational illnesses resultining from haza-rdous working conditions and handling harmful substances. A lot of cargo handling accident in port have occurred due to the characteristics of poor working environment, diversity of working place and method, fluctuation of the amount of cargo and handling of heavy, long, harmful and dangerous cargo, etc. According to '91 industrial accident analysis carried out by the ministry of labour, the number of the stevedores injured by cargo handling accident in port were 1, 432 persons (the death accident : 22 per-sons), the amount of industrial accident compensation in port was 6.7 billion won (the amount of economic loss : 33.6 billion won), and the injury occurance rate of the stevedoring industry was higher than that of the whole industry. This paper, therefore, aims to the actual status of the stevedoring industry and to extract the main cau-ses of the accidents related to cargo handling in port through factor analysis using the data of the accide-nts in the whole habour from 1990 to 1992, and to suggest the countermeasures to prevent such accident. The main causes of the accident and countermeasures are found to be as follows through the factor analy-sis : Factor1, factor2, and factor3 related to a defect of human being and management, a defect of state and environment, and an insufficiency of education and law are extracted. The short-term countermeasures to prevent these accidents are 1) to consolidate the safety and health organization in the working spot, 2) to secure a safe condition in working spot before dock work, 3) to strengthen a dock worker's safety educa-tion. The long-term countermeasures are 1) to promote a decasualisation of dock workers, 2) to modernize the cargo working methods through constructing exclusive pier and introducing exclusive cargo handling equipment, 3) to establish a exclusive dock accident prevention organization and the dock workers law. Factor 4, factor5, factor6, and factor7 related to an unfitness, a deficiency of technical knowledge, a nonfu-lfilment of safety measures, and a bad arrangement are extracted. The countermeasures to prevent these accidents are 1) to perform a complete safety inspection of cargo handling equipments and tools and to carry out the dock work according to a working plan, 2) to publish and supply technical safety books, safety instruction book, safety check list, etc., 3) to strengthen the safety patrol at the working spot in habour and to activate a safety fund, 4) to maintain always a clean workshop with the safety consciousness in which the good arragement of the working spot is considered to be the beginning of safety.

Comparison of Recognition and Fit Factors according to Education Actual Condition and Employment Type of Small and Medium Enterprises (중소규모 사업장의 교육 환경과 고용형태에 따른 호흡보호구 인식도 및 밀착계수 비교)

  • There was a difference in recognition of respirators according to the educational performance environment. they were showed higher recognition of respirators of group by internal and external mix trainer, less than 6 months, over 1hour, more than 5 times, variety of education. To identify the relationship between types of job classification(typical and atypical)and the levels of recognition of respirators, a total of 153 workers in a business workplace. mainly, typical workers showed higher recognition of respirators than atypical workers. Training of correct wearing showed high demands both typical and atypical workers. Descriptive statistics(SAS ver 9.2)was performed. the results of recognition of respirators were analyzed the mean and standard deviation by t-test, and anova, fit factor is used geometric means(geometric standard deviation), paired t-test, Wilcoxon analysis(P=0.05). Particulate filtering facepiece respirators (PFFR) is one of the most widely used items of personal protective equipments, and a tight fit of the respirators on the wearers is critical for the protection effectiveness. In order to effectively protect the workers through the respirators, it is important to find and evaluate the ways that can be readily applicable at the workplace to improve the fit of the respirators. This study was designed to evaluate effects of mask style (cup or foldable type) and donning training on fit factors (FF) of the respirators, since these are available at various workplace, especially at small business workplace. A total of 40 study subjects, comprised of employment type workers in metalworking industries, were enrolled in this study. The FF were quantitatively measured before and after training related to the proper donning and use of cup or foldable-type respirators. The pass/fail criterion of FF was set at 100. After the donning training for the cup-type mask, fit test were increased by 769%. but foldable-type mask was also increased after the donning training, the GM of FF for the foldable-type mask and it's increase rate were smaller as compared to the cup-type mask. Furthermore, the differences of the increase rates of the GM of FF in employment type of the subjects were not significantly for the foldable-type mask. These results imply that the raining on the donning and use of PFFR can enhance the protection effectiveness of cup or foldable-type mask, and that the training effects for the foldable-type mask is less significant than that for the cup-type mask. Therefore, it is recommended that the donning training and fit tests should be conducted before the use of the PFFR, and listening to workers opinion regularly.

A Study on the Coastal Navigation Safety by Navigational Risk Assessment Model (항해위험평가모델에 의한 연안역 항해의 안전 제고에 관한 연구)

  • The major cause of the marine accidents is the collision with a moving object such as ship as well as the fixed object such as breakwater. Therefore, the most effective way to reduce the maritime ship accidents is the prevention of collision. In order to decrease the collision, it is principle that the navigation officer promptly judges the dangerous condition and makes the quick response. The ship does not allow any object or other ships approaching its surrounded area called ship area so that it prevents the collision. Generally, the ship which has high speed or poor maneuvering capability shall be managed from the distance so that the other ship does not invade its ship domains(watching distance, blocking distance). Accordingly, this study sets the navigational risk assessment model by applying ship dynamic domain and collision judgement method considered ship length, speed and navigational capability. It also reviewed the validity of the model and evaluated the perilous water way (Maenggol Channel) and a curved route near Maenggol Channel. As a result, in case of a ship with 100m in length passing Maenggol Channel, it represented "warning" level before 1.5nm to the entry, "dangerous"level 0.75nm before to it and "very dangerous" level 0.5nm before to it and then "dangerous"level again up to the entry. Applying to the curved route also showed the same results as the Narrow Channel or Maenggol Channel. This analysis highly matched with the actual navigation results. In the future, this model will be useful for coastal navigation safety chart development and safety evaluation for route or port development. It also allows to evaluate the dangerous route or the best route by applying the result into ECDIS so that it will finally help to reduce the marine accidents. Eventually the model will be effective for the marine traffic simulation evaluation forced by Maritime Traffic Safety Act.

Structure Analysis on Automotive Seat Recliner Housing with High Tension Steel Plate (고장력 강판으로 된 자동차 시트 리크라이너 하우징에 대한 구조 해석)

  • Automotive seat recliner has the function to control the angle at the back of chair and has the relation close to the safety of seat. Therefore each of parts constituting the recliner is important and the recliner housing to protect these parts from various dynamic loads is also important. In this study, the recliner housing with t=3mm which is made of high tension steel plate(SPFC 980) is applied to actual automotive seat. The deformation is investigated through the durability tester. Deformation and equivalent stress are also analyzed by simulation analysis under the same condition with experiment. After recliners with thicknesses of 1mm and 2mm are modeled by bases of experimental and analysis values, deformation and equivalent stress are investigated through structural analysis.

Research on the Actual Condition of the radiation Safety Management(RSM) for the Educated Training of the Dental Diagnostics X-ray Generators (교육용 치과 엑스선 발생장치에 대한 방사선 안전 관리 실태 조사)

  • The purpose of this study is to offer data base for establishment of dental training x-ray generator based safety usage through surveying real radiation safety management state of radiation worker's in plan of operations that have dental training x-ray generators and use it. For it, comprehensive references were surveyed referring reports of current state of regulation technique development and domestic radiation safety evaluation and nuclear related legislation regarding radiation safety management of dental training x-ray generators. On the basis of it, questionnaires were filled in about respondent's general characteristic radiation safety manager's status current state of radiation safety management and the level of knowledge & consciousness. For the study, the survey was conducted to 224 people of radiation safety managers and university graduates training assistants and full-time professors who can treat dental training x-ray generators in education center. through this survey 95 questionnaires were used as analysis materials except the insufficient and omitted responses. As a method of analysis, the frequency and percentage were figured out with the general characteristics and safety manager's status. Chi-square test for frequency and correlation per question analysis and Pearson correlation analysis for crosslevel correlation were done with current state of radiation safety management and knowledge & consciousness level. As a result, running dental training x-ray generators was dealt with by 20's to 40's who have high education level over post undergraduate degree and major in dental hygienic. In addition, female have higher consciousness level for radiation safety management than male. A Suggestion on the Traffic Flagger System in Japan (일본 교통유도 경비제도의 시사점)

  • The obstructive factors of the smoothly running traffic are street improvement, major commercial buildings like department stores, the large markets, the stadiums, the concert buildings, a lot of steady cars for using parking lot. The accident of cost many lives and traffic congestion from these factors cause the result that it enables to pay the enormous expenditure socially and financially. For solving these problems, Japan adopts the Traffic Flagger System in 1972. This task has the effects of improving traffic flow in the traffic jam and mitigating risk of car accidents as leading pedestrians and vehicles thereby the task carries into effect in the area where the accident took place. Moreover, this security task is rapid growth after adopting and 59.6%(5,317) of the whole security company 8,924 in Japan based on December 2009 registered as the traffic leading security business. While South Korea is demanded of the measures about obstructive factors of the smoothly running traffic, it represents the limitation of the system and the safety management. Thus the current study suggests the we will analyze South Korea's actual condition and then discuss the law and education system for a realizable plan reached the public-Private cooperation for adopting Japan's Traffic Leading Security System.
