  • The purpose of this study is to measure corporate personality by analyzing the internal employees' corporate reviews and to identify the impact of the representative corporate personality on the relationship between job satisfaction of internal employees and the turnover rate of the company. To this end, we first created a dictionary of words representing the corporate personality with a Word2vec method based on words explaining five corporate personalities, such as reliability, initiative, practicality, activism, and femininity, obtained from the preceding study. Next, we analyzed reviews which were written by internal employees on their companies to measure the score of corporate personality at a review level, aggregated the review level scores for each company to calculate the company level score of corporate personality, and assigned to each company the corporate personality with the maximum score among the five such scores. Also, job satisfaction and turnover rate were measured from internal employees' corporate evaluation scores and the percentage of former employees of each company who left a review on the company, respectively. This study collected datasets of corporate reviews, employee information, and corporate information from Job-Planet from 2014 to 2017, conducted a technical statistic check and correlation analysis to confirm the suitability of the datasets, and performed linear regression analysis to evaluate the research model and verify hypotheses. As a result of the analysis, the job satisfaction of the internal staff has a significant negative impact on the corporate's turnover rate. In addition, companies having a personality of reliability, initiative and femininity also showed a significant cause-and-effect relationship between job satisfaction and turnover rate and among them, job satisfaction of companies having a personality, initiative, showed a greater impact on turnover rate. In sum, we not only proposed a novel method of measuring corporate personality, but also showed that corporates need to identify its corporate personality and to utilize a different strategy to reduce their employee's turnover rate depending on the corporate personality.

For example, there is oral history archive which has an actual field of its own, community archive, archives of everyday life, cultural resources archive, digital archive, and post-modern archive with its discourse practical character. In this reading, such flow is organized through everyday paradigm, and examines new archival methodology that is suitable for it. Through such critical mind, semiotic approach is taken and the need, direction and alternative of archival methodology is offered. Especially, archival methodology, which can be applied to archives is thoroughly observed. Also, the way how sign practices can be executed in the archival field is explained through specific examples. Of course, it is clearly stated that this is an instance, and that it is an archival methodology that can be applied to public institutions. • Site-specific performance is always the real on-site work taking place at the site. Hence, it deals with the reality, in other words, the time of creation and formation. And it creates value and meaning through the interaction and continuous direct communication process between the performers, audience and the local residents. In this performance, the audience's status as the passive observer changes. They become the co-agent who actively lead and complete the performance through their own experience. We have examined the The Working Methods of Site-specific Performance and Aesthetics of Effect through four Korean performances ; Marie, An aesthetic experiment of site as the storyteller; Heterotopia and Urban Movement Research or Play: We Will Move Your Sofa, as performances which have Revealed history, politics, institution engraved in the site ; A Song of Mandala and Miracle, as a ritualistic site-specific performance at the historic site. Some remarks on Site-specific performance ; First, In Site-specific performance, the habitus peculiar to the stage art and the mode of reception are changed. Second, a new mode of theatrical communication requires creator and audience to have a sharp aesthetic sensibility and to change one's perceptual habit. Third, Site-specific performance can act as a demonstration for the viewpoints of political activism through what could be called a dramatic close-up effect. Fourth, Site-specific performance also has the risk of merely becoming an unfocused and scattered performance or degenerating into a pseudo-sightseeing. To avoid this, an in-depth study of the site and its socio-cultural context, and the clear motivation with which one is trying to reveal and tell from the site must be indispensable. As the co-agent, the audience should also be aware and think about what the given performance signifies today.

  • As many critics do, this article starts from the premise that Charles Waddell Chesnutt wrote The Conjure Woman with a distinct socio-ethical view to ameliorating white readers' racism. For this purpose of social activism, first, the author uses a racially submissive genre and narrator- antebellum plantation-dialect fiction and an old ex-slave Julius-in order to win the attention of white racists, who constituted the majority of the reading public of postbellum America. Chesnutt then allows this seemingly submissive ex-slave consecutively to wage narrative battles against a Northern white capitalist, John. This fiction's structure is thus based on interracial narrative conflict. Granted, the result of these narrative battles is Julius's defeat. Even though he sometimes has narrative success through his manipulation of either his white female auditor's sentimentalism or the white capitalist's racial prejudice, it does not lead to any fundamental change in the white audience members' awareness: John still regards Julius's tacitly reformoriented tales merely as nonsensical ghost stories invented by the absurd imagination of a subservient, entertaining, and exploitable black coachman. Admitting his defeat, Julius relinquishes his original goal of deterring John's capitalist exploitation of both racial Others and the natural environment of the South and finally decides to serve the economic power of white capitalism. This self-defeating conclusion, however, should not be identified with Chesnutt's failure as an author. Rather, it should be understood as an interim result of the black author's earnest experiment with literary media best suited to his reform project. In fact, this narrative failure reveals Chesnutt's accurate diagnosis of the postbellum literary world: a black voice is still feebly heard and even easily buried by the whites' capitalist ambition and consequently intensifying racism. Conclusively, Julius's narrative failure should be positively evaluated as Chesnutt's one step further in his gradual and lifelong progress to a narrative goopher effectively to engage whites' imagination and sympathy for a vision of equal interracial coexistence.

Embodying a Field of Thoughts and Communications as a Political Agenda: A Reading of Shelley's The Mask of Anarchy (정치적 의제로서의 사유와 소통의 장의 실현 -셸리의 『혼돈의 가면극』 읽기)

  • This essay attempts to read Percy Bysshe Shelley s The Mask of Anarchy by attending to a political agenda that Shelley seeks to propose and embody in the poem. This poem was written as a response to an exceptional political event, the Peterloo Massacre, and thus it is evident that Shelley intended to engage in contemporary politics by writing this poem. As many critics have pointed out, however, the way in which this poem addresses social, plitical issues is ambivalent and even confusing, since it contains many elements that contradict each other, and sometimes its political visions are based on incoherent conceptions. For this reason, this poem has been considered to be a failure as an occasional poem which should provide the reader with a clear direction for political actions. Faced with this critical problem, this essay proposes that the ambivalence this poem reveals-e.g., the confrontation between moderate artistic fantasy and radical tenets-is not a retreat from political activism, as some critics suggested, but a result of its creation and embodiment of a public sphere which invites various social classes and their positions. The mode in which Shelley conceives this unified public sphere in the course of writing The Mask of Anarchy can be interpreted in terms of the following three features. First, this poem underscores the significance of thoughts in constituting a communal space between people, thus asking the reader to participate in this process of thinking on given issues. Second, this poem suggests that people should enlighten each other by engaging in communicative reciprocations. Lastly, the public sphere formulated by the previous two features should incorporate various socio-political agents beyond class boundaries (even oppressors themselves) into its own working field. After explaining how these three features are manifested in the poem, this essay argues that the unified public sphere thus formed in the poem is the very agenda that Shelley aims to propose for the contemporaneous politics and culture. As a conclusion, this essay highlights how Shelley s project of creating a unified public sphere finally failed in contemporary history through observing two contrasting receptions of Shelley s works.
