Crude lipase activator (L. Activator) was extracted with 0.85M NaCl solution from green pepper, Capsicum annuun Lin and then fractionated by 0.2 saturation with ammonium sulfate. The activity of crude L. Activator preparation $(OD_{280}=1.0)$ had proportional relation with its added amounts below 1.0ml. The L.Activator showed optimum temperature at $35^{\circ}C$. The L.Activator was very stable at the temperatures below $50^{\circ}C$ and at pH range of $7{\sim}9$, and its activities also remained 60% even at $100^{\circ}C$, 72% at pH 3, and 85% at pH 10, respectively. The activities of L.Activator decreased by most metal ions besides $Na^+,\;Mg^{++},\;and\;Ca^{++}$. The decreasing effects of heavy metal ions such as $Ag^+\;and\;Hg^{++}$ on L.Activator activity were not, however, so great as compared with the commonly known great effects of them on most enzyme activity. Crude L.Activator was separated into 4 peaks by the cellulofine column chromatography and the main active peak of L.Activator seemed to be contained in the same components as those of the activatory peak from crude L.Inhibitor.
This research was carried out to compares the treatment effects of Horizontal and Vertical type activators in Angle's Class II div. 1 maloccusion patients with mandibular retrusion dand to find out whether different treatment effects or growth pattern were observed between sexes in each study groups. The results were as follows: 1. In Horizontal activator group, forward positioning of mandible and vertical increase in anteror face as examplified by increase of LAFH and AEM were observed when pre and post-treatment datas were evaluated. 2. Males samples in Horizontal activator group showed increase in mandiular length accmpanied by posterior positioning of maxilla, wheras female samples in Horizontal activator group showed increase in mandibular body length, labial inclination of mandibular incisors and increase in lower anterior facial height .3. In vertical activator group, increase in AFH, LAFH, PFH and LPFH were observed when pre and post treatment datas were evaluated. 4. Male samples in Vertical activator group showed increase in mandibular body length and anterior and posterior facial heights, whereas females samples of Vertical activator group showed mainly increase in anterior facial height. 5. When pre and post treatment datas of Horizontal and Vertical activator groups were compared, skeletal difference were mainly observed in pretreatment datas but dental difference were observed in post treatment datas ,indicating that two actiators differ only in their effects to dental variables. 6. Difference between sexes were noted after treatment although no difference were observed between sexs in each groups before treatmentt. This indicates that inherent growth effects in each sex exerts more influence 1km appliances used for treatment.
We are concerned with an activator-inhibitor system proposed by Ohta [8]. The purpose of this paper is to study the dynamics of interfaces in an interfacial problem which is reduced from the system in order to examine how this problem is different from an activator-inhibitor system [3, 7].
Activator is a removable functional appliance used for correcting the skeletal Class II malocclusion in children with the mandibular deficiency. Berlin standard activator modified from Andresen activator has following characters; do not cover the palatal surface for tongue space, relief on lingual surface of mandibular incisors and resin capping 1/3-1/2 of crown height on mandibular incisors for preventing labioversion of mandibular incisors, L-hook between maxillary lateral incisor and canine for anterior high pull headgear, relief on mandibular posterior bite block for differential eruption of posterior teeth. Two cases presented here had a mandibular deficiency and slight maxillary protrusion. First case (an 11-year-old girl) treated with Berlin standard activator and anterior high pull headgear for 13 months followed by fixed orthodontic appliance for another 29 months. Second case (a 12-year-old boy) treated with Berlin standard activator for 6 months followed by fixed appliance for another 24 months. Treatment results showed a significant improvement in sagittal skeletal and occlusal relationship without premolar extraction. Mandibular condyles were concentric in TMJ [ossa, and masticatory muscle activities were normalized after treatment. In the retention period facial harmony and occlusal stability was maintained.
Willemite phosphor is a good one having excellent luminescence efficiency that it;s emission wavelength is in the range of about 525 nm. The energy band gap of this willemite phosphor is about 4.1 eV. When the ratio of ZnO/SiO is 1.8 and Mncl in used as activator source the phosphor has the value of maximum luminescence efficiency. The characteristic of willemite phosphor is tendency of the dependence of temperature. The willemite which was fired with activator after being synthesized at initial firing without activator shows higher value of luminescence efficiency than willemite which was fired with activator in initial stage, When the concentration of activator is 1-1.5mol% it has its most favorite condition and the value of luminescence efficiency decreases according to increasement of activator concentration.

This article describes the use of an activator with anterior high pull headgear to treat a skeletal Class II malocclusion in children in the mixed-dentition phase. A combination of headgear-activator appliance can inhibit forward and downward growth of the maxillary complex while stimulating mandibular growth. The correction of Class II malocclusion can be achieved by careful case selection of a motivated patient with a favorable growth pattern. The patients who have skeletal Class II malocclusions were treated by means of activator with anterior high pull headgear and the following results were observed; 1. Forward and downward growth of the maxillary complex were inhibited 2. Mandibular growth was stimulated and counterclockwise rotation of the mandible was observed. 3. Large overjet and deep overbite were corrected.
To establish the diagnosis and treatment plan for skeletal Class II malocclusion, patient's skeletal morphology, prognosis as well as the treatment effect is one of the important factor to consider. Therefore, the present study classified analyzed the difference between initial(T1) and after use of activator(T2), and after finish of direct multi-bonding system treatment(T3) for Class II malocclusion during growth period according to the treatment result(effective body length) and morphology of vertical skeletal type. The experimental group was classified into two groups(1 group, 2 group) according to the effective body length change between before and after use of activator, showed good treatment effect of activator for patient with small mandible and large differential between maxilla and mandible, and short anterior facial height. And the difference between 1 and 2 group in the experimental group before treatment(T1) disappeared in the finished treatment(T3). But in contrast, the initial difference of T1 stage between a and b group in the control group did not disappear in the finished treatment(T3). In short, experimental group's treatment effect was much better than contrast group and the treatment effect was maintained and got stable results at comparison experimental group with contrast group. Through this study, we can find activator's treatment effect and stable retention of that in growing Class II malocclusion patients. By estimate of activator treatment effect through these results, we can establish the correct diagnosis and treatment plan for adolescent Class II malocclusion estimate of activator treatment effect and lead the ideal facial growth pattern.
The author evaluated the effect of wunderer activator and karwetzky's u-bow activator for correction of anterior and posterior cross bite and mandibular shift to the Rt. or Lt. side. The results were as follows. 1. correction of anterior and posterior cross bite. 2. correction of mandibular shift to the unilateral side. 3. slightly down and backward rotation of mandible was occured.
A modified removable appliance for molar distalization called C-activator was used in a 10-year old male patient with a Class II anterior deep bite malocclusion with upper arch discrepancy. The treatment plan involved correcting the Class ll relationship, distalizing both upper first molars, and regaining space for the erupting canines. The C-activator, which was used for 6 months, consisted of a labial framework formed from .036-in stainless steel wire and an acrylic monobloc. Both the closed helices of the labial framework were compressed for reactivation during the C-activator treatment period. C-activator mechanics simultaneously achieved distalization of the upper first molars into their proper positions and repositioning of the mandible. After 21 months of treatment, the correct oberbite and overjet was obtained and contributed to an Improvement in facial balance. The treatment results were stable 6 months after debonding. Fabrication and placement of the new appliance and clinical procedures are detailed, and the treatment sequence and results of this case are presented as follows.
We were usually make use of Viggo activator for orthodontic the state prognathous. But, it inconvenient for use because demend of long time until orthodontic use finished for restoration of everybody production and function(esthetic, mastication, phonetic). So, we were enough effect obtained for everybody function with this improve. 1. Improves Viggo activator inconvenience of insertion and remove. 2. It can be set with considering of functional and esthetics. 3. Get a orthodontics effect without lonf period. 4. Have no convenience to mastication at setting with occlusal correction at anytime.
