One of the most important factor in the performance of Korean text-to-speech system is the prediction of accentual and intonational phrase boundary. The previous method of prediction shows only the 75-85% which is not proper in the practical and commercial system. Therefore, more accurate prediction must be needed in the practical system. In this study, we propose the simple and more accurate method of the prediction of AP, IP.
At present, in the case of pump fast optimization, there is a problem of rapid, accurate and effective prediction of cavitation performance. In "A Cavitation Performance Prediction Method for Pumps PART1-Proposal and Feasibility" [1], a new cavitation performance prediction method is proposed, and the feasibility of this method is demonstrated in combination with experiments of a mixed flow pump. However, whether this method is applicable to vane pumps with different specific speeds and whether the prediction results of this method are accurate is still worthy of further study. Combined with the experimental results, the research evaluates the sensitivity and accuracy at different flow rates. For a certain operating condition, the method has better sensitivity to different flow rates. This is suitable for multi-parameter multi-objective optimization of pump impeller. For the test mixed flow pump, the method is more accurate when the area ratios are 13.718% and 13.826%. The cavitation vortex flow is obtained through high-speed camera, and the correlation between cavitation flow structure and cavitation performance is established to provide more scientific support for cavitation performance prediction. The method is not only suitable for cavitation performance prediction of the mixed flow pump, but also can be expanded to cavitation performance prediction of blade type hydraulic machinery, which will solve the problem of rapid prediction of hydraulic machinery cavitation performance.

Initiation of crack and its growth simulation requires accurate model of traction - separation law. Accurate modeling of traction-separation law remains always a great challenge. Atomistic simulations based prediction has great potential in arriving at accurate traction-separation law. The present paper is aimed at establishing a method to address the above problem. A method for traction-separation law prediction via utilizing atomistic simulations data has been proposed. In this direction, firstly, a simpler approach of common neighbor analysis (CNA) for the prediction of crack growth has been proposed and results have been compared with previously used approach of threshold potential energy. Next, a scheme for prediction of crack speed has been demonstrated based on the stable crack growth criteria. Also, an algorithm has been proposed that utilizes a variable relaxation time period for the computation of crack growth, accurate stress behavior, and traction-separation atomistic law. An understanding has been established for the generation of smoother traction-separation law (including the effect of free surface) from a huge amount of raw atomistic data. A new curve fit has also been proposed for predicting traction-separation data generated from the molecular dynamics simulations. The proposed traction-separation law has also been compared with the polynomial and exponential model used earlier for the prediction of traction-separation law for the bulk materials.
The small-waterplane-area-twin-hull(SWATH) ship has been recognized as a promising high performance ship because of her superior seakeeping characteristics and large deck area for various operations compared to the conventional monohull ship. significant advances in analytical technics for the prediction of the ship motions, wave loads and structural responses, structural fatigue and its prediction, and hull vibration for ship motions, wave loads and structural responses, structural fatigue and its prediction, and hull vibration for SWATH ship have been much developed during the last twenty years. Based on these developments in technology an integrated computational procedures for prediction wave loads and structural responses can be used to get a accurate results. But the major problem of SWATH ship's structural design is the accurate prediction of structural responses by the maximum critical loads likely to be experienced during the life of SWATH. To get a easier and safer computational procedures and the analytical approach for determining the accurate structural responses, a case study has been presented through the project experienced.

We have proposed a new method to accurately predict the resonance of Fabry-Perot Cavity (FPC) antennas enclosed with conducting side walls. When lateral directions of an FPC antenna are not blocked with metallic walls, the conventional technique is accurate enough to predict the resonance of the FPC antenna. However, when the FPC antenna has side walls, especially for case with only a short distance between the walls, the conventional prediction method yields an inaccurate result, inevitably requiring a tedious, time-consuming tuning process to determine the correct resonant height to provide the maximum antenna gain in a target frequency band using three-dimensional full-wave computer simulations. To solve that problem, we have proposed a new resonance prediction method to provide a more accurate resonant height calculation of FPC antennas by using the well-known resonance behavior of a rectangular resonant cavity. For a more physically insightful explanation of the new prediction formula, we have reinvestigated our proposal using a wave propagation characteristic in a hollow rectangular waveguide, which clearly confirms our approach. By applying the proposed technique to an FPC antenna covered with a partially reflecting superstrate consisting of continuously tapered meander loops, we have proved that our method is very accurate and readily applicable to various types of FPC antennas with lateral walls. Experimental result confirms the validness of our approach.
Serial ultrasonographic examinations were performed on pregnant Korean Jindo bitches. Measurements of inner chorionic cavity diameter and fetal head diameter were made from pregnancy day 15 to parturition. These measurements were converted retrospectively based on the day of parturition (day 0). The data of inner chorionic cavity diameter obtained from day -42 to day -25 and fetal head diameter obtained from day -24 to day -1 were used to prediction of parturition day. Formulas for the prediction of parturition day using the method of least squares were derived. These formulas were then used to predict parturition dates based on single measurements of inner chorionic cavity diameter or fetal head diameter in 17 additional pregnant Korean Jindo bitches. Predicted date of parturition was then compared to actual whelping date. In the prediction of parturition based on inner chorionic cavity diameter, 7 of 10 bitches were coincided prediction date and actual whelping date, and the prediction was accurate to within 1 day in 3 of 10 bitches. The prediction of parturition based on fetal head diameter was accurate to within 1 day in 6 of 7 bitches and within 2 days in 1 of 7 bitches. In conclusion, the ultrasound measurement of inner chorionic cavity diameter and fetal head diameter are practical and accurate tool in the prediction of parturition.
A modified version of Zhang's reversible data hiding method in encrypted images is proposed in this letter. To make full use of spatial correlation in natural images, the former idea of block division is thoroughly abandoned, whereas the random diffusion strategy is used. Additionally, the fluctuation measurement of pixels containing embedded data is improved by accurate prediction. The experiment results reveal that our proposed method is superior to both Zhang's method and the later improved version proposed by Hong and others.
Objectives: Accurate assessment of energy expenditure is important for estimation of energy requirements in athletic children. The objective of this study was to evaluate the accuracy of accelerometer for prediction of selected activities' energy expenditure and intensity in athletic elementary school children. Methods: The present study involved 31 soccer players (16 males and 15 females) from an elementary school (9-12 years). During the measurements, children performed eight selected activities while simultaneously wearing the accelerometer and carrying the portable indirect calorimeter. Five equations (Freedson/Trost, Treuth, Pate, Puyau, Mattocks) were assessed for the prediction of energy expenditure from accelerometer counts, while Evenson equation was added for prediction of activity intensity, making six equations in total. The accuracy of accelerometer for energy prediction was assessed by comparing measured and predicted values, using the paired t-test. The intensity classification accuracy was evaluated with kappa statistics and ROC-Curve. Results: For activities of lying down, television viewing and reading, Freedson/Trost, Treuth were accurate in predicting energy expenditure. Regarding Pate, it was accurate for vacuuming and slow treadmill walking energy prediction. Mattocks was accurate in treadmill running activities. Concerning activity intensity classification accuracy, Pate (kappa=0.72) had the best performance across the four intensities (sedentary, light, moderate, vigorous). In case of the sedentary activities, all equations had a good prediction accuracy, while with light activities and Vigorous activities, Pate had an excellent accuracy (ROC-AUC=0.91, 0.94). For Moderate activities, all equations showed a poor performance. Conclusions: In conclusion, none of the assessed equations was accurate in predicting energy expenditure across all assessed activities in athletic children. For activity intensity classification, Pate had the best prediction accuracy.
Possibilities of predicting eggshell ultrastructure from direct non-destructive and destructive measurements were examined using 120 Fayoumi eggs collected from the flock at 45 weeks of age. The non-destructive measurements included weight, length and width of the egg. The destructive measurements were breaking strength and shell thickness. The eggshell ultrastructure traits involved the total thickness of eggshell layer, thickness of palisade layer, cone layer and total score. Prediction of total thickness of eggshell layer based on non-destructive measurements individually or simultaneously was not possible ($R^2=0.01$ to 0.16). The destructive measurements were far more accurate than the non-destructive in predicting total thickness of eggshell layer. Prediction based on breaking strength alone was more accurate ($R^2=0.85$) than that based on shell thickness alone ($R^2=0.72$). Adding shell thickness to breaking strength (the best predictor) increased the accuracy of prediction by 5%. The results obtained indicated that both non-destructive and destructive measurements were not useful in predicting the cone layer ($R^2$ not exceeded 18%). The maximum accuracy of prediction of total score ($R^2=0.48$) was obtained from prediction based on breaking strength alone. Combining shell thicknesses and breaking strength into one equation was no help in improving the accuracy of prediction.
In this paper, we propose a supervised-learning-based spatial performance prediction (SLPP) framework for next-generation heterogeneous communication networks (HCNs). Adaptive asset placement, dynamic resource allocation, and load balancing are critical network functions in an HCN to ensure seamless network management and enhance service quality. Although many existing systems use measurement data to react to network performance changes, it is highly beneficial to perform accurate performance prediction for different systems to support various network functions. Recent advancements in complex statistical algorithms and computational efficiency have made machine-learning ubiquitous for accurate data-based prediction. A robust network performance prediction framework for optimizing performance and resource utilization through a linear discriminant analysis-based prediction approach has been proposed in this paper. Comparison results with different machine-learning techniques on real-world data demonstrate that SLPP provides superior accuracy and computational efficiency for both stationary and mobile user conditions.
