Dysfunction of Time Perception in Children and Adolescents with Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder

  • Objectives: Children with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) may have deficits in time perception, as assessed by the time estimation task and the time reproduction task, however its age-related trajectory is not yet determined. Therefore we examined the correlation between accuracy of time perception tasks and age, and the association between accuracy of estimation tasks and reproduction tasks. Methods: Sixty-three patients with ADHD, aged 8 to 18 years tested the tasks for five time durations (2, 4, 12, 45, and 60 seconds). Accuracy of tasks was assumed differences (absolute values) between raw results of tasks and original time durations. Spearman's correlation analysis was performed to determine correlation between accuracy of time perception tasks and age. Multivariate regression was used to determine the association of accuracy of estimation tasks with accuracy of reproduction tasks. Results: Age showed correlation with accuracy of estimation tasks, but not with that of reproduction tasks. We observed that the higher the accuracy in 12, 45, and 60 seconds duration time reproduction, the higher the accuracy in longer seconds duration time estimation. Conclusion: Age was correlated with time estimation accuracy whereas there was no impact on time reproduction accuracy. Association of each of the two time perception tasks, particularly in longer time duration, suggested specific impairments in time perception.

  • Needs to study on distance measurement accuracy in aerial and satellite photogrammetry are rapidly increased. However, conventional studies show some confused definitions between measurement accuracy and measurement precision as well as standard deviation(STDEV) and root mean square error(RMSE or RMSD). So, Finite definitions of measurement accuracy and measurement precision as well as STDEV and RMSD are addressed in this paper. Experiment result show using correct definitions improve the distance measurement accuracy in aerial and satellite photogrammetry rapidly, but not the distance measurement accuracy in aerial and satellite photogrammetry.

Parallel Algorithm of Improved FunkSVD Based on Spark

  • In view of the low accuracy of the traditional FunkSVD algorithm, and in order to improve the computational efficiency of the algorithm, this paper proposes a parallel algorithm of improved FunkSVD based on Spark (SP-FD). Using RMSProp algorithm to improve the traditional FunkSVD algorithm. The improved FunkSVD algorithm can not only solve the problem of decreased accuracy caused by iterative oscillations but also alleviate the impact of data sparseness on the accuracy of the algorithm, thereby achieving the effect of improving the accuracy of the algorithm. And using the Spark big data computing framework to realize the parallelization of the improved algorithm, to use RDD for iterative calculation, and to store calculation data in the iterative process in distributed memory to speed up the iteration. The Cartesian product operation in the improved FunkSVD algorithm is divided into blocks to realize parallel calculation, thereby improving the calculation speed of the algorithm. Experiments on three standard data sets in terms of accuracy, execution time, and speedup show that the SP-FD algorithm not only improves the recommendation accuracy, shortens the calculation interval compared to the traditional FunkSVD and several other algorithms but also shows good parallel performance in a cluster environment with multiple nodes. The analysis of experimental results shows that the SP-FD algorithm improves the accuracy and parallel computing capability of the algorithm, which is better than the traditional FunkSVD algorithm.

Error Budget Analysis for Geolocation Accuracy of High Resolution SAR Satellite Imagery (고해상도 SAR 영상의 기하 위치정확도 관련 중요변수 분석)

  • The geolocation accuracy of SAR satellite imagery is affected by orbit and sensor information and external variables such as DEM accuracy and atmospheric delay. To predict geolocation accuracy of KOMPSAT-5 and KOMPSAT-6, this paper uses TerraSAR-X imagery which has similar spec. Simulation data for sensitivity analysis are generated using range equation and doppler equation with several key error sources. As a result of simulation analysis, the effect of sensor information error is larger than orbit information error. Especially, onboard electronic delay needs to be monitored periodically because this error affects geolocation accuracy of slant range direction by 30m. Additionally, DEM accuracy causes geolocation error by 20~30m in mountainous area and atmospheric delay can occur by 5m in response to atmospheric condition and incidence angle.

  • GEO-KOMPSAT2 shall be designed to produce higher quality of image than that of COMS, and this requires the ground system to provide orbit data with high accuracy; better than 2km which is sort of high accuracy when it comes to geostationary satellite. For GEO-KOMPSAT2, KARI is planning to use ranging data for orbit determination, obtained from two ranging stations located in KARI and oversea country with long longitudinal baseline. This paper estimated achievable orbit determination accuracy using covariance analysis under assumption of using two ranging stations; SOC and available secondary tracking stations located in oversea countries. In addition to covariance analysis, in order to validate the analysis, the Monte-Carlo simulation has been performed and compared to the covariance analysis.

A new method to measure the accuracy of intraoral scanners along the complete dental arch: A pilot study

  • PURPOSE. The purpose of this study is to assess the accuracy of three intraoral scanners along the complete dental arch and evaluate the feasibility of the assessment methodology for further in vivo analysis. MATERIALS AND METHODS. A specific measurement pattern was fabricated and measured using a coordinate measuring machine for the assessment of control distances and angles. Afterwards, the pattern was placed and fixed in replica of an upper jaw for their subsequent scans (10 times) using 3 intraoral scanners, namely iTero Element1, Trios 3, and True Definition. 4 reference distances and 5 angles were measured and compared with the controls. Trueness and precision were assessed for each IOS: trueness, as the deviation of the measures from the control ones, while precision, as the dispersion of measurements in each reference parameter. These measurements were carried out using software for analyzing 3-dimensional data. Data analysis software was used for statistical and measurements analysis (α=.05). RESULTS. Significant differences (P<.05) were found depending on the intraoral scanner used. Best trueness values were achieved with iTero Element1 (mean from 10 ± 7 ㎛ to 91 ± 63 ㎛) while the worst values were obtained with Trios3 (mean from 42 ± 23 ㎛ to 174 ± 77 ㎛). Trueness analysis in angle measurements, as well as precision analysis, did not show conclusive results. CONCLUSION. iTero Element1 was more accurate than the current versions of Trios3 and True Definition. Importantly, the proposed methodology is considered reliable for analyzing accuracy in any dental arch length and valid for assessing both trueness and precision in an in vivo study.

  • Advanced Internet of Things (IoT) technology is being used in various ways for the safety of the energy industry. At the center of safety measures, drones play various roles on behalf of humans. Drones are playing a role in reaching places that are difficult to reach due to large-scale facilities and space restrictions that are difficult for humans to inspect. In this study, the accuracy and completeness of movement of dangerous facilities were tested using drone images, and it was confirmed that the movement recognition accuracy was 100%, the average data analysis accuracy was 95.8699%, and the average completeness was 100%. Based on the experimental results, a future-oriented facility risk analysis system combined with ICT technology was implemented and presented. Additional experiments with diversified conditions are required in the future, and ICT convergence analysis system implementation is required.

  • A Conceptual cost estimate, which is computed in the preliminary step of a project, is important for decision-making by a contractor in terms of the project budget, economic feasibility and validity analysis, and alternative comparisons. Therefore, a high error rate of a prediction model for a conceptual cost estimate can lead to various problems including excessive project expenditures and a delayed break-even point. this study proposed optimal impact factors by configuring quantitative impact factors computable in a preliminary step in various cases(combinations of impact factors). subsequently, the accuracy of different cases was comparatively analyzed by using the cases as input values of a prediction model using regression analysis. when the optimal combination of impact factors proposed in this study and other combination of impact factors were applied to the prediction model, the regression analysis-based prediction model exhibited 0.2-4.7% improvements in accuracy, respectively. the optimal combination of impact factors proposed in this study improved the accuracy of the prediction model of a conceptual cost estimate by removing unnecessary impact factor.

Improvement of recommendation system using attribute-based opinion mining of online customer reviews

  • In this paper, we propose an algorithm that can improve the accuracy performance of collaborative filtering using attribute-based opinion mining (ABOM). For the experiment, a total of 1,227 online consumer review data about smartphone apps from domestic smartphone users were used for analysis. After morpheme analysis using the KKMA (Kkokkoma) analyzer and emotional word analysis using KOSAC, attribute extraction is performed using LDA topic modeling, and the topic modeling results for each weighted review are used to add up the ratings of collaborative filtering and the sentiment score. MAE, MAPE, and RMSE, which are statistical model performance evaluations that calculate the average accuracy error, were used. Through experiments, we predicted the accuracy of online customers' app ratings (APP_Score) by combining traditional collaborative filtering among the recommendation algorithms and the attribute-based opinion mining (ABOM) technique, which combines LDA attribute extraction and sentiment analysis. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the prediction accuracy of ratings using attribute-based opinion mining CF was better than that of ratings implementing traditional collaborative filtering.

  • The analysis system has been needed to pre-evaluate and analyze the right for sunlight and the right for view in a residential environment since the urban high density and high rise residentinal building types have been prevailing these days. The purpose of this study is to propose an digital analysis method to evaluate sunlight and view conditions in a residential environment to improve the system performance in the sense of speed and accuracy. The digital analysis method using the object-oriented 3D CAD system and parametric library is studied and applied in the system and the various outputs of the analysis system makes possible to modify the design with the speed and accuracy as a result of the analysis. The study includes the evaluation for a daylight and view condition of each unit, and the interruption degree to a vicinity environment in terms of sunlight and view conditions comparing before and after construction.
