의학전문대학원생의 대학 전공 계열에 따른 학업성취도 분석 (Analysis on a Medical School Students' Academic Achievement by University Major Field)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 대학 졸업 전공계열과 동일 학번의 학년변화에 따른 학업성취도를 비교 분석하는 것이다. C 의학전문대학원 2008학년에 입학한 학습자를 대상으로 입시원서 제출시 본교 전공 구분 기준을 자연 과학계열과 비자연과학계열로 대학 전공 계열을 구분하여 2008-2011년까지 학업성취도를 학년별, 교육과정별로 분석하였다. 대학 전공 계열에 따라 학년별 학업성취도 및 교육과정별 학업성취도간에 통계적으로 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 또 대학 전공 계열이 학년별 및 교육과정별 학업성취도 상 중 하 수준별 분포와 그 차이를 분석한 결과 통계적으로 의미가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 다양한 학문분야의 배경을 가진 학습자들에게 선발의 가능성을 열어두는 입학전형제도가 일부 유지될 필요가 있고, 대학 전공 계열에 따라 학업성취도 차이가 있을 것이라는 일반적인 인식의 전환과 학습자들의 학습 가능성을 믿고 학습지도하는 것이 필요하다.

대학생 과제보고서에 나타난 인용정보 분석에 관한 연구 (Analysis of Citations in Undergraduate Papers)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 학술적 글쓰기에서 대학생들의 자료 인용 행태를 분석함으로써 대학생들의 자료에 대한 인식과 대학도서관 자료의 활용 정도를 측정하여 도서관의 성과를 측정하는 것이다. 서울 소재 대학의 학기말 보고서 공모전에 제출된 80편의 보고서에 인용된 자료의 유형과 도서관 소장여부를 분석하였다. 분석결과, 대학생들의 논문 인용에 대한 지식 수준은 매우 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 또한 웹 정보에 대한 의존도(44.9%)가 높았지만 다른 유형의 자료, 즉 단행본, 학술지, 학위논문 등의 경우에는 대학도서관의 활용도가 높게 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구는 대학도서관이 대학생들의 학술적 글쓰기 능력신장을 위해 수업활동에 적극적으로 참여하고 인용과 참고문헌에 대한 효과적인 교육자료를 개발하는데 힘쓸 것을 제안한다.

KODISA Academic Journal Strategy: Synopsis in 2016 and Vistas of the Future

  • Purpose - The Education Ministry has plans to select top 10 percent academic journals among the domestic registration journals in NRF(National Research Foundation of Korea), and designate them as outstanding academic journals. To reflect this trend, KODISA has set its sights on paper publication rate and citation index with pushing forward globalism. First, this study will arrange the process of globalism and the current state of paper submission, and propose the direction of improvement in academic journals through understanding the characteristics of each major field. Research design, data, and methodology - KODISA has preceeded in examining and publishing research papers related to distribution field through indirectly or stimulating academic advancement. KODISA covers the whole fields in social science as well as in business administration and economics that associated with distribution field not limiting only within the range of distribution field. That is, the new subject that contributes to the progress in distribution field with original research can be a priority criteria in KODISA journal publication. Results - The major fields in papers published in KODISA can be categorized broadly as distribution field with economic and business administration point of view. Therefore, the distribution field with economic point of view includes the issues such as regulations, system, industry, market environment, distribution system, trade, and macroeconomics, etc. The business administration point of view in distribution includes distribution strategy, distribution organization, and distribution channel from the perspectives of the firm, etc. Conclusions - The aim of KODISA in 2020 is to be a global academic journal as SCI level of each journal in KODISA, JDS(Registration journal), IJIDB(Registration candidate), EAJBM(Registration candidate), JAFEB(Cabell's Registration journal). The KODISA journals have already settled as the largest academic society and journals of Korea in 2016 currently from humanities and social sciences area by the most gross in publication circulation, volumes, and types. Hereafter, KODISA will focus on the improvement for the objective indicators such as Impact Factor and Centrality index as qualitative growth as well as quantitative expansion. By doing so, KODISA will be a forum for developmental academic debate with attracting the world's greatest scholars' papers. Furthermore, they will be recognized journals and grow as the first-rate academic journals inside and outside of Korea.

보건의료 대학생들의 사상체질 분류에 따른 학업소진 경향의 차이 (Differences in the Tendency of Academic Burn-Out according to Sasang Constitution among the Healthcare College Students)

  • Academic burn-out is a state of emotional, and physical exhaustion caused by prolonged stress over the course of the semester and academic year. It is composed of exhaustion, inefficacy, and cynicism. The purpose of this study was to reveal that the academic burn-out would be significantly different between early and the end stage of semester, and the sub pattern would be different according to Sasang constitution among the healthcare college students. The first survey was conducted in early March 2018 and the second one was done in the end of June 2018. Total 386 questionnaires concerning KS-15 of Sasang Constitution, MBI-SS of academic burn-out and general characteristics such as drinking, smoking and so on were collected and 9 of them were excluded, because of insufficient answers. The academic burn-out score significantly increased from 56 in early stage of semester to 63 in the end stage of semester (p<.001). In sub-pattern analysis, the exhaustion score significantly increased from 21.3 to 26.7 (p<.001), and cynicism score increased from 15.4 to 17 (p<.001). The cynicism score of drinking alcohol group ($16.21{\pm}5.572$) was higher than the non-drinking alcohol group ($14.62{\pm}5.859$), and the exhaustion score of smoking group ($23.75{\pm}6.942$) was significantly higher than that of non-smoking group ($21.05{\pm}6.697$) in early stage of semester. The exhaustion score of female ($27.47{\pm}5.762$) was higher than that of male ($26.02{\pm}6.536$) (p=.024), and the inefficacy score of Taeeumin ($20.13{\pm}5.244$) was significantly higher than that of Soyangin ($18.15{\pm}5.588$) in the end stage of semester. The healthcare college student experiences academic burn-out, and there is significantly different according to gender and SC in sub-pattern. Further study is needed to manage the academic burn-out according gender and Sasang constitution.

이공계 학사경고 대학생과 일반 대학생의 동기 및 학습전략 차이 분석 (Analyze the Affective and Learning Strategy Difference of Engineering Students under Academic Probation and other College Students)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 공과대학 재학 중 학사경고를 받은 학생 그리고 학사경고를 경험하지 않은 일반 학생의 동기와 학습전략의 차이를 살펴보는 데 있다. 본 연구의 대상은 서울 소재 A대학 공과대학 학생으로 이들은 교수학습개발센터에서 학습전략 검사에 참여하였다. 본 연구 대상은 총 553명이며 이 가운데 학사경고 학생은 22명, 일반학생은 531명이다. 본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 표준화된 검사인 한국 가이던스의 MLST(Multi-dimensional Learning Strategy test) 학습전략 검사지를 사용하였다. 학사경고를 받은 학생과 그렇지 않은 학생, 두 집단 간 동기와 학습전략을 비교 분석하기 위하여 t-test를 실시하였다. 그 결과, 학사경고를 받은 학생의 경쟁 동기 점수가 일반 학생들 보다 낮았으며 학사경고 학생들의 시간 관리와 노트필기 요인의 점수가 일반 대학생 보다 낮았다.

Mobility and productivity: brain circulation and sustainability of the Korean academic system

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the unique characteristics of the Korean academic system with regard to brain circulation, with a specific emphasis on the influence of overseas-trained academics on research activities within the Korean academic system. We have analyzed the statistical data on individual characteristics and performances of 48,499 Korean academics in science and engineering. We have examined the results at both the system and individual levels within the broader context of the macro characteristics of the Korean academic system. Our analysis reveals that the total number of domestically-trained academics exceeds the number of overseas-trained academics. However, in terms of research funding, overseas-trained academics tend to receive more funding than domestically-trained academics. Furthermore, after controlling other factors such as funding, personal attributes, and environmental factors, our analysis demonstrates that overseas training has a significant and favorable impact on the publication of internationally renowned journals. As such, the presence of overseas returnees has been essential for the effective functioning of the Korean academic system in the global research network and for conducting high-quality academic research. Therefore, the advantages of dependence on scientific core countries such as the US for overseas training have persisted. Nevertheless, upon scrutinizing the group of recently appointed 5,806 academics exclusively, we have discovered that junior academics who received their education domestically exhibit sufficient academic proficiency compared to their colleagues educated overseas. This observation highlights the potential for the Korean academic system to evolve into a self-sustaining system.

산학협력 캡스톤디자인 매칭 플랫폼 개발 연구 (Development Study of Capstone Design Matching Platform based on Industry-Academic Cooperation)

  • The purpose of universities is diversifying, such as education and research for the transfer of knowledge and technology, and training talented people with the competencies required in industrial sites. Therefore, universities are attempting various forms of industry-academic cooperation to maintain organic relations with companies and to conduct research activities, technology sharing, technology development, technology transfer, and human resources training. In particular, in the field of engineering education, various industry-academic cooperation programs such as field training, interns, and start-up support are actively developed and operated. Accordingly, the Engineering Education Innovation Research Information Center developed an online industry-academic cooperation capstone design matching platform for engineering education to enable collaboration between universities and companies nationwide. The industry-academic cooperation matching platform was developed under the theme of capstone design. Capstone design is a project-oriented and problem-based learning method that combines the knowledge and experiences acquired by the undergraduate department and designs and produces them. The subject of the Capstone design project was to solve corporate difficulties and allow companies and universities to collaborate. This study developed an online industry-academic cooperation capstone design matching platform according to analysis, design, development, evaluation, and execution procedures. This study is meaningful in that it has developed a channel through which students and companies, who are the subjects of industry-academic cooperation, can carry out projects and communicate organically through an online matching platform.

전문대학 학생의 학업중단 예측에 관한 연구: 초기 학업 성적의 중요성 (A Study on Predicting Student Dropout in College: The Importance of Early Academic Performance)

  • 본 연구에서는 서울 소재 한 전문대학 학생들을 대상으로 하여 최소한의 인구통계학적 변수와 1학년 1학기 성적을 활용하여 학생들의 최종 학적 상태를 예측하고자 하였다. XGBoost와 LightGBM 모델을 사용한 결과, 이러한 변수들이 학생들의 제적 여부 예측에 유의미한 것을 발견하였다. 이는 학업 시작 초기의 성적이 학업 중단의 중요한 지표가 될 수 있음을 시사한다. 또한, 전문대학의 학제가 최종 학적에 영향을 미칠 가능성을 확인하였으며, 이는 학업 기간이 학생들의 학업 중단 결정에 중요한 요소임을 나타낸다. 전문대학에서 조기 학업 중단 의도를 파악하는 데 있어 심리적, 사회적, 경제적 요인에 의존하지 않고 학업 성취도만을 기준으로 모델링을 시도하였다. 이는 향후 학업 중단에 대한 조기 경보 시스템 구축에 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.

중국 고등학생의 그릿이 학습몰입을 경유하여 학업성취에 미치는 영향에서 젠더의 조절된 매개효과 (The moderated mediating effect of gender in the impact of Chinese high school students' grit on academic achievement through learning engagement)

  • 본 연구는 중국 고등학생을 대상으로 그릿이 학습몰입을 경유하여 학업성취에 미치는 영향에서 젠더가 조절하는지를 확인하는 데 연구의 목적이 있다. 자료는 중국 광동 지역의 한 고등학교에서 유의표집한 고등학생 345명을 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 통하여 수집하였다. 수집한 자료는 SPSS PC+ Win ver. 25.0과 SPSS PROCESS macro ver. 4.2를 활용하여 분석하였다. 적용된 통계방법은 빈도분석, 신뢰도 분석, 상관분석 및 조절된 매개효과 분석이었다. 연구의 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 그릿은 학습몰입, 행복과 유의한 정적인 상관관계가 있었으나, 젠더와는 유의미한 상관관계가 없었다. 학습몰입은 젠더 및 학업성취와 정적인 상관관계를 보였다. 둘째, 그릿이 학습몰입을 경유하여 학업성취에 미치는 영향을 젠더가 조절 매개하였다. 즉, 그릿이 학습몰입을 경유하여 학업성취에 미치는 조건부 간접 효과는 여자보다 남자가 높았다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 본 연구는 고등학생들의 학업성취 증진을 위하여 그릿과 학습 몰입의 활용을 젠더에 따라 다르게 활용할 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다.

의과대학생의 개인적 특성과 대학생활 요인이 학업실패에 미치는 영향: 정신건강의 매개효과 (The Effects of Medical Students' Traits and College Life on Academic Failure Mediated by Mental Health)

  • This study utilized cohort data, student lifestyle surveys, and mental health examination results from a medical school to investigate the impact of factors such as hometown, alcohol use, smoking, university life adaptation, and aptitude on academic failure, with mental health serving as a mediator. We analyzed data from 409 of the 549 incoming students at Keimyung University School of Medicine, excluding 140 individuals with missing data, from the academic years 2015 to 2021. Significant differences were found according to hometown in feelings of depression, suicidal tendencies, and internet addiction. There were also significant differences based on university life adaptation in feelings of depression, suicidal tendencies, and internet addiction, as well as significant differences according to academic aptitude in feelings of depression and internet addiction. Academic failure showed significant differences based on hometown, university life adaptation, and academic aptitude. Furthermore, students' hometown had a complete mediating effect on academic failure together with feelings of depression, suicidal tendencies, and internet addiction. University life adaptation exhibited a complete mediating effect with suicidal tendencies and a partial mediating effect with feelings of depression and internet addiction. Academic aptitude demonstrated partial mediating effects on feelings of depression, suicidal tendencies, and internet addiction. Based on these results, we suggest establishing counseling programs tailored to the characteristics of medical students, and various programs for university life adaptation are necessary. There is also a need for diverse programs not only for clinical training, but also for different career paths.
