BDG 농도변화에 따른 용수의 목분 침투특성 연구 (A Study for Characteristics of Water that Penetrates Wood Flour due to Changes of Concentration of BDG)

  • As the feature of fire, it is hard for deep-seated fire to spread to the deeper site, and it also has danger for being re-ignited cause of recontacting with oxygen after being put off. Now it is ruled in the certification criteria of wetting agent used for extinguishing deep-seated fire that the criteria for surface tension is below 33[mN/m] in Korea. For figuring out how much water for fire-fighiting can permeate into combustibles, in this research, the permeating performance is analyzed by measuring the speed of permeating and transmission quantity released after that, by pouring solution whose surface tension is changed by adjusting concentration of surfactant BDG(Butyl Di Glycol) in column From this result, it is can be determined that transmission quantity becomes less and wet area goes wider as surface tension is lower, and it is also able to be analyzed as quantity of absorbed liquid and wet area is increased because fluid permeates into the core.

물흡수선량 표준에 기반한 $^{192}Ir$ 근접치료 선원 교정 시 원통형 이온함의 이온함 간 변화 (Chamber to Chamber Variations of a Cylindrical Ionization Chamber for the Calibration of an $^{192}Ir$ Brachytherapy Source Based on an Absorbed Dose to Water Standards)

  • 본 논문은 물 흡수선량 표준에 기반하여 근접치료 선원인 $^{192}Ir$을 교정하는 것에 대한 예비적 연구를 위한 것이다. 이온함을 사용하여 물흡수선량 표준에 기반하여 근접치료 선원을 교정하기 위해선, 빔 선질 교정인자인 $k_{Q,Q_0}$가 필요하다. 본 연구에선 일차 표준을 사용하여 지정된 거리에서의 흡수선량를 측정하는 데 있어서의 현실적인 어려움 때문에 몬테칼로 전산모사와 반실험적인 방법을 통하여 $k_{Q,Q_0}$를 결정하였다. 본 연구를 위해 PTW30013 이온함 5개를 선택하였다. 포괄적 $k^{gen}_{Q,Q_0}$ 값의 경우엔 이온함간 변화가 최대 4.0%에 이른 반면, 개별적 $k^{ind}_{Q,Q_0}$ 경우엔 이온함간 변화가 최대 0.5% 이내였다. 이 결과는 물 흡수선량에 기반하여 근접치료 선원인 $^{192}Ir$을 교정시에 이온함을 왜 개별적으로 교정해야 하는지, 개별적인 교정이 얼마나 중요한 지를 보여 준다. 가까운 장래에 공기커마 세기 대신에 사용자가 근접치료 선원을 고에너지 광자빔과 전자빔의 교정에서처럼 치료에서 관심있는 물리량인 물흡수선량의 관점에서 교정할 수 있기를 희망한다.

소방의 매염 및 염색특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the mordanting and dyeing properties of Caesalpinia Sappan, L.Dye)

  • For the purpose of standardization and practicability of natural dyeing, the mordanting and dyeing properties of Caseaslpinia Sappan, L. and Brazilin were studied. Appropriate extraction, dyeing and mordanting condition of Caeaslpinia Sappan, L. were determined, and the effect of mordanting method on dye up-take adn color fastness of dyed fabric was investigated. The most absorbance of Caeaslpinia Sappan, L. solution was 445nm, Brazilin was 448nm. The color of bazilin solution was affected by pH 7~9. The optimum temperature to extract Caesalpinia Sappan, L. was 10$0^{\circ}C$ adn dyeing solution for 1 hour. In case mordants concentration, the most absorbance was 0.3%. In case mordanting test, the best and proper temperature to quantities of absorbed mordants in silk was 8$0^{\circ}C$ and the most quantities of absorbed mordants in silk was mordant treatment by Cu. Effective dyeing time to silk was 60min. Effective mordanting temperature was 8$0^{\circ}C$, and its time was 30min. K/S value of dyeing fabrics was recoginazed by mordanting treat-ment, specially Fe, Sn, Al, Cu. K/S value of pre-mordanting was higher than post-mordanting. After soaping treatment K/S value of pre- and post-mordanting silk was decreased and 0.1%(W/V) quantity of mordant was sufficient for treatment. In the case of Caeaslpinia Sappan, L. fastness was increased by mordanting treatment. Mordants and mordanting treatment method affected the amount of absorption and color change of dyed silk.

고압축 폐열회수장치를 구비한 증기보일러에 관한 연구 (A study on the steam boiler with high compression waste heat recovery system)

  • An electric steam boiler equipped with a condensate recovery system, which stores the condensate generated after using steam in steam washers, steam cookers, steam irons, and steam cleaners in a condensate tank and supplies compressed air to the condensate tank so that the condensate is recovered to the boiler by the pressure of the compressed air, was studied. In the results of this study, the heat energy balance between the quantity of the heat generated by the non-metallic surface heating element and the quantity of the heat absorbed by the water was good in a range of ${\pm}5%$. In addition, the heat transfer rate increased in proportion to the electric power of the surface heating element heater, the waste heat energy was normally recovered by the recovery of the condensate of the steam boiler equipped with the high compression waste heat recovery system, and the recovery rate of the waste heat exhibited 23%.

자외부 흡광 유도체를 이용한 염산 DL-카르니틴의 분석 (Determination of DL-Carnitine Hydrochloride in Pharmaceutical Preparation by HPLC using UV Absorption Derivatives)

  • A reverse-phase HPLC method to determine DL-Carnitine Hydrochloride in pharmaceutical preparation is described. UV absorption derivatives of DL-Carnitine Hydrochloride were formed with p-Bromophenacyl Bromide in an essentially quantitative manner using crown ether as catalyst. The DL-Carnitine-bromophenacyl ester absorbed UV radiation strongly at 254nm, allowing the detection of as small a quantity as 12.5ng of DL-Carnitine Hydrochloride. A linear defection range was $5\;{\times}\;10-8 \;{\sim}\;5\;{\times}\;10-7M$ of DL-Carnitine Hydrochloride. And the linear regression at various drug concentration was =0.999 (n=10). The DL-Carnitine Hydrochloride in pharmaceutical preparation was successfully derivatized and separated from other constituents by reverse phase HPLC with detection at 254 nm.

A Simulation and Property Analysis according to Electromagnetic Wave Absorber Shape

  • The property of magnetic field and properties of EMW(Electro Magnetic Wave) absorption with multi-shaped EMW absorber was simulated. As a magnetic field having high density was showed at bottom of EMW absorber, simulation showed that overall EMW was absorbed at the bottom of multi-shaped absorber. The absorption properties of EMW according to thickness of absorber showed that it enhanced about 50-60 percent. Also, EMW absorption properties was checked with surface area of EMW absorber. A cylinder-shaped EMW absorber exhibited good property among multi-shaped EMW absorber based on these result.

The Effect of Ambient Air Condition on Heat Transfer of Hot Steel Plate Cooled by an Impinging Water Jet

  • It has been observed that the cooling capacity of an impinging water jet is affected by the seasonal conditions in large-scale steel manufacturing processes. To confirm this phenomenon, cooling experiments utilizing a hot steel plate cooled by a laminar jet were conducted for two initial ambient air temperatures (10$^{\circ}C$ and 40$^{\circ}C$) in a closed chamber, performing an inverse heat conduction method for quantitative comparison. This study reveals that the cooling capacity at an air temperature of 10$^{\circ}C$ is lower than the heat extracted at 40$^{\circ}C$. The amount of total extracted heat at 10$^{\circ}C$ is 15% less than at 40$^{\circ}C$ , These results Indicate the quantity of water vapor, absorbed until saturation, affects the mechanism of boiling heat transfer.

무전해 동 도금용액 속에서 안정제의 역할 (Effects of Stabilizing Additives on Electroless Copper Deposition)

  • The effects of the stabilizing additives such as NaCN, 2-MBT and Thiourea on bath decom-position, plating rate and surface morphology have been studied. Bath stability was increased in the order of an additive-free bath, and NaCN-, 2-MBT-, and Thiourea-stabilized baths. The sta-bilizing effects may be attributed to the stability of Cu(II) -complexes. The plating rate is the re-verse order of the bath stability. Accelerative effect of 2-MBT in proper quantity(0.3mg/$\ell$) may be explained by visualizing it absorbed through benzene ring or sulfur atom on portions of the sub-strates. The strong bond of the complexing part of the molecule to nearby chelated copper ions would tend to accelerate plating by making it easier for the Cu2+ -ligand bond to be broken. Sur-face morphologies of copper deposits depend on the bath additives. Electroless copper deposits from the 2-MBT stabilized baths are finer than the deposits from the NaCN- and Thiourea- stabi-lized baths due to the strong adsorption on the substrates.

ESR Study on the Thermal Annealing Effects of Irradiated Human Tooth Enamel by X and $\gamma$-rays

  • When human tooth enamel is exposed to the X-ray or ${\gamma}$-rays, free radicals and defects are created in a small quantity of carbonate enclosed in the tooth enamel. The intensity of the ESR signal of the free radicals is almost proportional to the absorbed radiation dose. However this dosimetric character is affected to some extent with the measurement temperature and thermal treatment of the samples. We found that the shape of the ESR signals of the samples is dependent upon the measurement temperature, the thermal annealing prior to the irradiation and that after the irradiation.

천연염료의 매염에 따른 염색성 및 물성에 관한 연구;소목과 꼭두서니를 중심으로 (A Study on the Dyeability and Physical Properties of Mordanted and natural-dyed Fabrics)

  • This study was performed to investigate the effect of mordants on the dyeability colorfastness to light and to laundering and biological properties of mordanted and natural-dyed cotton and silk substrates. Natural red dyes were extracted from Caesalpinia Sappan L. (Sappan wood) and Rubia Akane Nakai (Madder) by boil water Five different compounds of Al, Cr, Cu, Fe and Sn were used as mordanting agents. The result of this study are sumarized as follows ; 1. In the of the fabrics mordanted and dyed with sappan wood K/S value increases and λmax shifts to the longer wavelength as mordant concentration increases. Color of the fabrics dyed with sappan wood and madder change to redder bluer and lighter after mordanting. 2. As the number of repetition of dyeing-mordnating process increase the color of the dyed fabrics tend to be redder bluer and darker. Mordanted dyes with Al and Sn make chroma increase. The quantity of mordant absorbed in the silk fabric increase as mordant concentration increase. More Fe is absorbed in silk than Cr is. 3. After being exposed to light the fabrics dyed with sappan wood and madder change to less red Fe and Cu mordanting yeild better colorfastness to light than others does. Natural-dyed fabrics exposed to light tend to be faded and whitened in CIELAB chromaticity co-ordinates. So we might trace back the original color of ancient faded fabrics by changes in color of natural dyes. 4. After washing the colors of natural dyes change to more blue, Fe and Cu mordanting give better colorfastness to wash than others do. 5. The soil-burial cotton is more susceptible to mildew and rot than the silk is. Antimicrobial activity of the natural-dyed cotton can be enhanced by Cu and silk can be enhanced by Cu and Cr mordanting respectively.
