수직하방 분사된 주의 비선형 거동에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Nonlinear Motion of a Vertical Liquid Jet)

  • The breakup phenomena of a vertical laminar jet issuing from capillary tubes in a quiescent ambient air are investigated using a forced vibration analysis of the surface wave. Using a linear approach to the transient jet velocity, an approximate solution fur the longitudinal motion of a vertical liquid jet is theoretically derived, thus performing an instability analysis by a vibration method. The damping term of this equation is nonlinear as it depends on dimensionless parameters, a Weber number, and an Ohnesorge number. The instability condition is determined based on whether the coefficient of the damping term is less than zero or not. Uniform drop formation is dependent on the vibration frequency fur the forced vibration case.

강바닥판 구조성능 개선을 위한 보강재 설치에 관한 매개변수해석 (A Numerical Analysis on the Diaphragm and Cutout Structures for Improvement of Structure Performance in Orthotropic Steel Decks)

  • 강바닥판의 횡리브 복부판에서는 전단력과 비틀림 모멘트가 작용하는 동시에 종리브의 비틀림으로 인한 면내외 변형이 작용하기 때문에 교차부와 컷아웃부에 응력집중현상이 발생한다. 본 연구는 피로균열 발생사례가 가장 높은 교차부와 컷아웃부에서의 응력집중현상 완화를 통하여 피로성능을 향상시킬 수 있는 구조상세를 개발하기 위하여 수행되었다. 다이아프램의 설치는 교차부와 컷아웃부에서의 응력집중현상 완화효과에 유리한 구조상세이다. 다이아프램의 위치에 대한 응력집중의 양상을 분석하기 위해서 다이아프램 위치를 횡리브 복부판과 일치된 곳으로부터 교축방향으로 이동시켜 가며 그 응답을 수치적으로 분석하였다. 또한 컷아웃폭을 대상으로 매개변수해석을 수행하여 최대응력 감소효과를 분석하였다. 그 결과 다이아프램은 횡리브 복부판과 횡리브 축 방향으로 일치되도록 설치하는 것이 응력집중현상을 완화시켜 구조성능 개선에 유리한 구조상세임을 알 수 있었다. 그러나 어떤 경우에도 다이아프램을 설치하지 않은 경우보다는 설치한 경우가 피로성능에 유리함을 알 수 있었다. 컷아웃폭은 바닥강판으로부터 종리브 바닥판면까지의 거리($y_{gotal}$)에 대한 바닥강판으로부터 컷아웃부의 종리브와 횡리브 교차점까지의 거리($y_i$)의 비($y_i/y_{total}$) 0.85가 되도록 컷아웃폭을 설정하는 경우가 구조성능 개선에 유리한 구조상세임을 알 수 있었다.

악골의 전후방 관계를 평가하는 계측치변화에 관한 누년적 연구 (A LONGITUDINAL STUDY OF THE CHANCES IN THE ANTEROPOSTERIOR APICAL BASE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN 6 AND 13 YEARS OF AGE)

  • To help arrive at a more accurate diagnosis of anteroposterior apial base relationship on each individual case, it is important to compare the interpretation in the same population on a longitudinal basis. The author studied on the changes of the anteroposterior apical base relationship using serial lateral cephalometric roentgenograms of 15 boys and 27 girls aged from 6 to 13 years of Korean children. Following results were obtained 1. Norms of Korean boys and girls were established. 2. With ages, there was a gradual decrease of ANB, AXB angle, and there was a gradual increase of facial angle, A-B plane angle, APDI. 3. Wits appraisal does not change significantly with ages. 4. No significant differences were observed in the changes between male and female subjects for all absolute values between the ages of 6 years and 12 years, but significant differences were observed in ANB, AXB, A-B plane angle of the age of 13 years. No significant differences were observed in the changes between male and female subjects for all incremental values between the ages of 6 years and 13 years.

가천대학교 의과대학 졸업 후 진로지도 프로그램 설계와 운영 (Design and Implementation of a Career Guidance Program at Gachon University College of Medicine)

  • The ultimate goal of career guidance is to help medical students develop a career plan that matches their personal characteristics, allows them to train in their desired subspecialty, and helps them to adapt well to medical practice after graduation. Gachon Medical School has designed a longitudinal career guidance program called GLORI (Gachon Longitudinal Orientation and Career Development), which is based on the outcome of each phase. The program consists of regular courses and portfolio-based career guidance from a mentor professor. In phase 2 (basic medical science), the "Career Seminar" course was developed. This course focuses on self-understanding through a psychological inventory, exploration of postgraduate career paths, and interviews with professors in specialties of interest. In phase 3 (the integration of basic and clinical science), the "Exploring Nonclinical Career Options" course was introduced. This course presents perspectives from doctors who have followed various pioneering career trajectories, including biomedical engineering, medical journalism, writing, public health, health care administration, the pharmaceutical and medical device industries, and other areas. All teaching methods were designed to encourage student participation. The assessment methods are assignment-based, including self-reflective reports and presentations. In addition, a portfolio-based career guidance program is implemented in phases 3 and 4 (clinical clerkship). It is expected that this case study will serve as a practical example for developing comprehensive career guidance programs for medical schools.

Longitudinal Model Verification of Life Satisfaction of Generation X and Generation Y

  • 본 연구는 한국복지패널(KOWEPS) 자료를 활용하여 역사적 배경, 성장배경, 가치관, 라이프 스타일 등이 서로 다른 X세대와 Y세대의 삶의 만족도를 종단적으로 분석하는 연구이다. 연구 자료는 한국복지패널의 1차 년도(2006년)부터 14차 년도(2019년) 까지 이루어진 27,301명 중에서 삶의 만족도를 실시한 최근 12차 년도부터 14차 년도까지 응답이 제대로 이루어진 2,492명의 3개년도 자료를 활용하였다. 연구 결과 X세대와 Y세대 모두 삶의 만족도가 높은 세대일수록 시간이 경과 함에 따라 느린 속도로 삶의 만족도가 천천히 증가한다는 것이다. 또한 X세대와 Y세대 모두 생활 만족도가 높을수록 삶의 만족도 초기값은 높게 나타났으나, X세대의 경우 생활 만족도가 높을수록 3년 동안 삶의 만족도 변화율은 .327이 낮아지고, Y세대의 경우에는 삶의 만족도 변화율에 영향을 미치지 않았다. 최종적으로 본 연구의 모형은 생활 만족도와 삶의 만족도 경향성 사이에서 건강 상태의 부분 매개가 성립하여 생활 만족도는 삶의 만족도에 직접적으로 영향을 미치고 동시에 건강 상태를 매개변수로 하여 간접적으로 영향을 미치는 것으로 분석되었다.

Simplified analytical Moment-Curvature relationship for hollow circular RC cross-sections

  • The seismic vulnerability analysis of multi-span bridges can be based on the response of the piers, provided that deck, bearings and foundations remain elastic. The lateral response of an RC bridge pier can be affected by different mechanisms (i.e., flexure, shear, lap-splice or buckling of the longitudinal reinforcement bars, second order effects). In the literature, simplified formulations are available for mechanisms different from the flexure. On the other hand, the flexural response is usually calculated with a numerically-based Moment-Curvature diagram of the base section and equivalent plastic hinge length. The goal of this paper is to propose a simplified analytical solution to obtain the Moment-Curvature relationship for hollow circular RC sections. This based on calibrated polynomials, fitted against a database comprising 720 numerical Moment-Curvature analyses. The section capacity curve is defined through the position of 6 characteristic points and they are based on four input parameters: void ratio of the hollow section, axial force ratio, longitudinal reinforcement ratio, transversal reinforcement ratio. A case study RC bridge pier is assessed with the proposed solution and the results are compared to a refined numerical FEM analysis, showing good match.

비선형을 고려한 파랑중 선체 운동과 강도 응답에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Response of the Motions and Strength of Ships in Waves taking account of Non-linerities)

  • In this paper, the authors investigate theoretically the motion and longitudinal strength of ships among waves talking account of the effects of nonlinearities such as the hull shape, bottom emergence, and hydrodynamic impact. Incidentally the ship is treated as an elastic beam in heading wave condition regarding characteristics of slamming and whipping-according to the variation in the range of a quarter length of the ship forward and the increase of the elastic modes up to 4-th vibration mode were investigated by the present theory. Calculations are performed for 97m container ship and its validity is confirmed by a series of model tests. Conclusions obtained are as follows; 1) Acceleration and pressure estimated by the present theory are in good accordance with experiments. 2) The present non-linear theory may be applied for estimating longitudinal bending moment of ships in slamming and whipping conditions. 3) In investigation of the characteristic in response according to shape variation for parts under draft and vow-flare in the range of a quarter length of the ship forward, dynamic responses due to the former were much more conspicuous than those due to the later. 4) In the maximum bending moment, the considering case up to 2-the mode are larger, about $10{\sim}15%$, than that up to 4-th mode.

아동체격의 종단적 연구 (A study on the longitudinal physique of children-centered on sampling physique group and general physique group)

  • In order to secure reliable values of measurement of the data about children's longitudinal develop- ment and physique examination and their growth states for 6 years from first grade through sixth grade in elementary school was collected based on their school health records. A sample physique group and general physique group were investigated and compared classified into girls and boys. The results are as follows; (1) Whe the difference of physiques in the sample group and general group is compared, boys and girls show little difference in height but boys differ greatly in weight and sitting-height but girls do in weight, girth of chest and sitting-height between 8 and 11 years old. (2) In the verification of the two groups; the body height in 7 years old show a significant difference at the P<0.5 level and their weights do at 7.8 and 11 years old. Girls' sitting-height at 11 years old shows a significant difference at the P<0.5 level. In the light of the above results because possibility of instrumental error in measurement is high between the two groups and also in case of the comparison of past sample data, the physique examination used in every school seems to be in need of reconsideration to reduce errors in measurement.

Seismic damage of long span steel tower suspension bridge considering strong aftershocks

  • The residual capacity against collapse of a main shock-damaged bridge can be coupled with the aftershock ground motion hazard to make an objective decision on its probability of collapse in aftershocks. In this paper, a steel tower suspension bridge with a main span of 2000 m is adopted for a case-study. Seismic responses of the bridge in longitudinal and transversal directions are analyzed using dynamic elasto-plastic finite displacement theory. The analysis is conducted in two stages: main shock and aftershocks. The ability of the main shock-damaged bridge to resist aftershocks is discussed. Results show that the damage caused by accumulated plastic strain can be ignored in the long-span suspension bridge. And under longitudinal and transversal seismic excitations, the damage is prone to occur at higher positions of the tower and the shaft-beam junctions. When aftershocks are not large enough to cause plastic strain in the structure, the aftershock excitation can be ignored in the seismic damage analysis of the bridge. It is also found that the assessment of seismic damage can be determined by superposition of damage under independent action of seismic excitations.

철근 겹침이음 위치 부적정이 지하박스 슬래브 균열 발생에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Inadequate Rebar Lap Position on Crack of Underground Box Slab)

  • 본 연구에서는 철근 겹침이음 위치가 부적정하게 시공된 사례를 바탕으로 콘크리트 구조기준에서 제시한 설치기준에 대하여 분석 및 고찰을 하였으며, 현행 구조기준에서 제시한 겹침이음에 대한 기준이 적정함을 해석적으로 입증하였다. 실제 종방향 균열이 발생된 지하 박스구조물 단면에 대한 철근 겹침이음부의 철근강도감소비 및 설계유효 모멘트를 산출하여 철근 겹침이음부의 균열 발생원인에 대하여 해석적으로 입증하였다. 연구결과, 최대 인장응력이 발생되는 지하 박스구조물 중앙부에 철근 겹침이음이 설치될 경우 철근 겹침이음부의 철근강도감소비는 82.8% 수준인 것으로 분석되었다. 따라서, 콘크리트 구조기준에서 정하고 있는 바와 같이 철근 겹침이음부의 위치는 최대 인장응력이 발생하는 지점을 피해야 하며, 부득이하게 겹침이음이 부적정한 위치에 설치되는 경우 본 연구에서 검토한 바와 같이 충분한 겹침이음길이를 확보하여야 하며, 구조물 단면력에 대하여 검토하여 충분한 안전율을 확보하는 것이 중장기적인 균열 제어 방법으로 적정할 것으로 검토되었다.
