Over the last 20 years there have been more than 3000 peer-reviewed papers relating to climate change and biodiversity published, and still the numbers are increasing. However, most studies focused on the impacts of climate change at population or community levels, and the results invariably reveal that there has been, or will be, a negative effect on the structure and pattern of biodiversity. Moreover, the climate change models and statistical analyses used to test the impacts are only newly developed, and the analyses or predictions can often be misled. In this review, I ask why an individual's life history is considered in the study how climate change affects biodiversity, and what ecological factors are impacted by climate change. Using evidence from a range of species, I demonstrate that diverse life history traits, such as early growth rate, migration/foraging behaviour and lifespan, can be shifted by climate change at individual level. Particularly I discuss that the optimal decision under unknown circumstance (climate change) would be the reduction of the ecological fitness at individual level, and hence, a shift in the balance of the ecosystem could be affected without having a critical impact on any one species. To conclude, I summarize the links between climate changes, ecological decision in life history, the revised consequence at individual level, and discuss how the finely-balanced relationship affects biodiversity and population structure.

In this paper, it is presumed that the stress time history was generated by simulation method and investigated compatibility in regard to the reappearance of stress time history. In this procedure, the identified frequency distribution of stress range of the steel railroad bridge varies with the rational values of cut off point and bar width. Thus, we show variable aspect of the equivalent stress range results from change of cut off point and bar width. In addition, we analyze the variable of RMC and RMS model due to the cut off point and bar width of the measured stress history which influencs the prediction of fatigue life in the steel railroad bridge. The simulated stress time history is carried out by the superposition method incorporating the vertical load with rotation moment obtained from the Hermition interpolation function, and compared with developing stress results from measured maxi mum stress. Through this study, we can estimate the remaining fatigue life from a safety point of view and comparative accuracy.

A guideway vehicle is used in automobile, semiconductor and LCD manufacturing industries to transport products efficiently. Since the operating speed of the guideway vehicle should be increased for maximum productivity, the weight of the vehicle has to be reduced. This may cause parts in the system to fail before the life of the system. Therefore estimation of the fatigue life of the parts becomes an important problem. In this study, the fatigue life of the driving wheel in the guideway vehicle is estimated using a S-N curve. To obtain the fatigue life of a part, the S-N curve, load time history applied on a driving wheel and material property are required. The S-N curve of the driving wheel is obtained using the fatigue experiment on wheels. Load time history of the wheel is obtained from multibody dynamics analysis. To obtain the material properties of the driving wheel, which is composed of aluminum with urethane coating, a compression hardware testing has been done with the static analysis of the FE model. The fatigue life prediction using computational analysis model guarantees the safety of the vehicle at the design stage of the product.

In this paper a computer aided analysis method is proposed for durability assessment in the early design stages using dynamic analysis, stress analysis and fatigue life prediction method. From dynamic analysis of a vehicle suspension system, dynamic load time histories of a suspension component are calculated. From the dynamic load time histories and the stress of the suspension component, a dynamic stress time history at the critical location is produced using the superposition principle. Using linear damage law and cycle counting method, fatigue life cycle is calculated. The predicted fatigue life cycle is verified by experimental durability tests.

본 연구는 생애 통상 여섯 번의 수감 생활과 삼청 교육대 입소 경험이 있는 한 여성 노인의 삶을 생애사적 관점으로 살펴보았다. 생애사 텍스트는 만델바움(Mandelbaum, 1973)이 제시한 삶의 영역, 전환점, 적응의 순으로 분석하였다. 연구 참여자의 삶의 영역은 보조 공원시절의 노동 착취, 미군 전용 클럽에서의 호스티스 생활, 교도소 수감생활, 삼청 교육대 경험, 장애인 남성과의 결혼 생활, 농업 노동자의 생활로 나타났다. 삶의 전환점은 보조 공원 겸 가사 도우미 취업, 교도소 입소, 생계를 위한 호스티스의 삶, 국가 폭력에 의한 삼청 교육대 입소, 장애인 남성과의 결혼과 이혼, 농업 노동자로서의 사회복지 서비스 거부로 나타났다. 적응 전략은 보조 공원 시절의 철저한 순응, 소년 교도소 시절의 과장된 위약적 행동, 호스티스 집창촌 성매매 여성으로서의 돈 버는 기계, 장애인 남성과의 결혼 후 현모양처로서의 적응, 자영업자와 농업 노동자의 저항적 적응으로 나타났다. 연구자들은 연구결과에 의해 사회적 낙인과 함께 여성 수용 경험자들의 트라우마에 대해 논의를 하였고 여성 출소자의 사회 재적응을 도울 수 있는 상담심리차원의 제언을 하였다.

This study maintains that settlement and dwelling system reflects socio-cultural value of the people to express their image of ideal-life and intrinsic way of life. To demonstrate it, the study is conducted on a cross-cultural perspective. Through the study, it is shown that the character and content of the settlement and dwelling system is largely generated by the result of a choice among possible alternatives, which provides the theoretical base of the settlement and dwelling system.

This study is to find out how to use the materials of East Asian history in mathematics classroom. Although the use of the history of mathematics in classroom is gradually considered advantageous, the usage is mainly limited to Western mathematics history. As a result, students tend to misunderstand mathematics as a preexisting thing in Western Europe. To fix this trend, it is necessary to deal with more East Asian history of mathematics in mathematics classrooms. These activities will be more effective if they are organized in the context of students' real life or include experiential activities and discussions. Here, the study suggests a way to utilize the mathematical ideas of Bāguà and Liùshísìguà, which are easily encountered in everyday life, and some concepts presented in 『Nine Chapter』 of China and 『GuSuRyak』 of Joseon. Through this activity, it is also important for students to understand mathematics in a more everyday context, and to recognize that the modern mathematics culture has been formed by interacting and influencing each other, not by the east and the west.

본 연구는 시민 구술채록의 중요성과 활성화를 강조하고자 한 글이다. 주지하는 바와 같이 우리나라는 1980년대부터 구술사연구가 서서히 시작되었다. 지금까지 연구자에 의한 시민인터뷰, 연구자에 의한 엘리트 인터뷰는 양적으로 꾸준히 증가했다. 그러나 시민에 의한 시민인터뷰는 미미한 수준이다. 2021년부터 문화체육관광부 주관으로 진행하고 있는 "디지털생활사 아카이빙"사업은 새롭고 의미 있는 시도이다. 이 사업은 시민들에게 아카이빙과 구술채록에 대한 교육을 거친 시민들이 직접 인터뷰를 수행하고 기록물을 생산하도록 하는 프로그램이다. 이 사업을 통해 구술기록 생산, 시민의 아카이빙 역량 확보, 지역 문화자원 구축 등의 성과를 내고 있다. 2021년에 이 사업에 참여했던 경험을 바탕으로 성과와 한계를 평가하며 시사점을 살펴보았다. 향후 시행착오를 줄이는 데 도움이 될 것으로 기대한다. 또한 시민 구술기록의 활발한 생산과 활용 방안을 제안하였다. 이를 위해 구술 기관 간의 구체적인 협력과 구술기록 플랫폼도 제안하였다.

According to previous research, welding-induced stress in steel structures can significantly affect the fatigue behaviour; it produces initial damage of weldiug part of structure locally and residual stresses reduce the fatigue strength after welding precess. In this study, through continuum damage mechanics, we can estimate the weldiug damage using the stress and strain history during welding process and the effect of welding residual stress for assessment of fatigue life. The variation of welding-induced stresses and strains need be traced precisely in advance for a reliable weldiug damage assessment. In this study, a damage and fatigue analysis techniques for steel structures with welding-induced residual stress are presented. First, We calculate the history of temperature according with welding process. And residual stress with a welding thermal history was evaluated by non-linear thermal stress analysis. Secondly, welding damage and fatigue life are estimated with kinetic damage law.

This article conducted an pilot study on Lee Gyu-Jun(李圭晙)'s life and thoughts. He championed, and is mainly based on, old annotations of ancient Confucian bibles古文 that were made in the Han漢 and Tang唐 era in Chinese history and consequently took additionally into account Zuxi朱熹's annotations on Confucian bibles. This cause big trouble to him in conservative Gyeong Shang Province(嶺南). He participated in the Confucian Religion Movement孔敎運動 and proposed constitutional monarchy as a new polity fit for changing Korean history. He closely interacted with many resistants to the Japanese rule of Korea and had a mixed perspective on Western culture, science and technology, and social system, positive or negative, contingent on cases. He made great footprints in the history of both modern Korean medicine and philosophy. Thus there is an urgent need for the overall study on Lee Gyu-Jun in every aspect.
