An experiment about performance characteristics is conducted on a double chamber vane-type rotor. Three different rotors, which have 6, 8 and 9 vanes, are applied to the driver and various lift holes at the rear plate are used to increase the effective vane height. The inner diameter of a double chamber cylinder is ${\phi}27mm$, and the length of the cylinder is 65 mm. The maximum offset length between the rotor outer surface and the cylinder inner surface is 4.5 mm. In this study, specific output torques and powers are measured, and also noise and vibration are measured at the real operating situation. The operating torque on the double chamber is increased to 17% compared to the operating torque obtained at the single chamber which has the same size. The experimental results of noise and vibration show that the operating sound and vibration are directly related to the operating power generated by the double chamber rotor.

A numerical heat transfer analysis and the structural analysis were performed for the design of sub-scale combustion chamber's coolant passage. The heat flux through the combustion chamber wall was estimated by 2-D heat transfer analysis of compressible hot gas and the result was applied as a thermal boundary condition of 3-D analysis. The heat flux estimated by the present method agreed well with the experimental correlation and proved to be insensitive to cooling condition. So the same thermal boundary condition was applied for various operating conditions. The maximum temperature of combustion chamber wall was predicted by 3-D analysis for single coolant passage and the result will be used for the development of a regeneratively cooled combustion chamber. Also estimated were the stress distribution and structural safety of coolant passage through the static structural analysis.

A 30-tonf-class fullscale thrust chamber for the application to a LEO SLV has been combustion tested over the wide ranges of a mixture ratio and a chamber pressure. The thrust chamber designed for an open cycle engine with a turbopump was tested with a ablative combustion chamber instead of a regenerative chamber to first evaluate its performance and function. The test results revealed stable combustion characteristics. The hardware survived the harsh environment and showed very sound functional characteristics. The estimated combustion efficiency of the chamber turned out to be 95% and a specific impulse at sea level was estimated as 254sec, which are comparable to or above the predicted design values.
In this study, we analyzed radiation dose and MTF with setting of Ion chamber and changing kVp so that we are able to suggest acquiring optimized diagnostic images and minimizing patient dose. we assumed right lateral decubitus position among chest decubitus projection and set 7 combination of Ion chamber. By changing kVp(100, 110, 120, 130kVp), we exposed x-ray five times respectively and calculated average value after measuring entrance dose. we input the entrance dose value to PCXMC Monte carlo simulation tool and calculated organ dose and effective dose. Then we did physical image evaluation with MTF for the purpose to compare image quality. As a result, the high kVp, entrance dose is reduced. As change of ion chamber, when selecting second ion chamber, both organ dose and effective dose were the lowest. In contrast, selecting first ion chamber was the highest. MTF is superior to set second Ion chamber and using 120 kVp. Consequently, when taking chest right lateral decubitus using Digital radiography, the optimized combination which have both reducing dose efficiently without declining image quality and aquring good qualified image is set 120 kVp and selecting second Ion chamber.
Cor triatriatum is a rare entity of congenital heart disease characterized by the presence of a fibrousmuscular diaphragm that subdivides the left atrium into a proximal or "accessory" chamber and a distal or "true" left atrial chamber. In the other hand, cor triatriatum is a variant of abnormal connection between the pulmonary vein and true left atrium which is separated from accessory left atrium receiving pulmonary venous blood flow by fibromuscular diaphragm. We experienced two cases of cor triatriatum. One of them was classical, and the other case was combined with atrial septal defect and all pulmonary veins were drained into the " common pulmonary venous chamber " which connected with right atrium and there was no direct communication between the accessory chamber and true left atrium. The abnormal diaphragms were excised and the atrial septal defect was repaired with pericardial patch in case II. The postoperative courses were not eventful and the patients were discharged with good result, and have been in good condition upto now.n good condition upto now.
Influence of form errors of a chamber filled with a liquid on the movement and stability of a ball, rotating in the chamber, is studied. Two cases of the influence of the chamber form errors on the forces, acting on the ball, are defined. The first case describes the situation when limitations on the rotor shift are not imposed and disturbances of the chamber form are set by spherical harmonics not above the first order. In the second case disturbance of a chamber form is arbitrary and the rotor is supposed small. A rising here diflective moment tends to direct the angular speed vector along the small semiaxis of the ellipsoid, i.e., a stable position of the rotor appears.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the reliability and effectiveness of hyperbaric oxygen chamber on alcohol-induced oxidative stress and hangover. In order to evaluate them, 20 healthy adults were tested for blood and hangover stress tests. When an exponential change was examined after 3 interventions (hangover drink, hyperbaric oxygen chamber, and normal chamber as placebo effect) of 1 hour, the heart rate of subjects experiencing a hyperbaric oxygen chamber showed a statistically significant decrease (p < 0.001). The tests of blood alcohol concentration (BAC) as for exquisite hematology analysis, glucose, creatinine, and AST (aspartate aminotransferase) as well as ALT (alanine aminotransferase) used as liver-damage indicator show that the hyperbaric chamber has the effective effect. In the test of lactic acid, CRP (c-reactive protein), cortisol, and creatinine, the hyperbaric chamber shows much more excellent effect than the hangover drink and normal chamber as control groups. Further studies on hyperbaric oxygen chamber intervention including this study could be very helpful for improving lives of both the patients and healthy people.
Purpose: The purpose of present study was to develop a method for assessing the chronological age of Korean adults based on the relationship between age and size of pulp cavity using dental radiographs of mandibular first molars. Methods: A total of 325 dental radiographs of Korean adults with known age and gender were selected for the study (199 males and 126 females) which were taken in the period between January 2009 and June 2014 at the Pusan National University Dental Hospital. The measurements were carried out on both orthopantomographs (OPGs) and intraoral periapical radiographs of mandibular first molar and the following ratios were calculated: pulp chamber floor height ratio (F/L), pulp chamber ceiling height ratio (R/L), and pulp chamber depth ratio (D/L). Results: The ratios of measurements on intraoral periapical images of mandible first molar generally produce more reliable data than the measurements on OPGs. The pulp chamber floor height ratio and pulp chamber thickness ratio showed significant correlation with age, whereas the pulp chamber ceiling height ratios showed weak correlation with age. It was found that the best correlations between the ratios and age were found for pulp chamber thickness ratios (r=-0.731 to -0.751). The multiple regression models were derived using 3 ratios that were significantly correlated with age. The determination coefficients ($R^2$) of the models ranged from 0.556 to 0.596. Conclusions: Our results indicate that the pulp chamber thickness and pulp chamber floor height in mandibular first molar are an age-dependent variable in adults which can be used to estimate age with reasonable accuracy. The higher image quality of dental radiographs will probably narrow the age estimation error and improve dental age estimation.
In order to measure the volatile organic compounds (VOCs) of a sample which is too large to use commercially available chamber, a stainless steel vacuum chamber (VC) (with an internal diameter of 205 mm and a height of 50 mm) was manufactured and the temperature of the chamber was controlled using an oven. After concentrating the volatiles of the sample in the chamber by helium gas, it was made possible to remove residual volatile substances present in the chamber under reduced pressure ((2 ± 1) × 10-2 mmHg). The chamber was connected to a purge & trap (P&T) using a 6 port valve to concentrate the VOCs, which were analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) after thermal desorption (VC-P&T-GC-MS). Using toluene, the toluene recovery rate of this device was 85 ± 2 %, reproducibility was 5 ± 2 %, and the detection limit was 0.01 ng L-1. The method of removing VOCs remaining in the chamber with helium and the method of removing those with reduced pressure was compared using Korean drinking water regulation (KDWR) VOC Mix A (5 μL of 100 ㎍ mL-1) and butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT, 2 μL of 500 ㎍ mL-1). In case of using helium, which requires a large amount of gas and time, reduced pressure ((2 ± 1) × 10-2 mmHg) only during the GC-MS running time, could remove VOCs and BHT to less than 0.1 % of the original injection concentration. As a result of analyzing volatile substances using VC-P&T-GC-MS of six types of cell phone case, BHT was detected in four types and quantitatively analyzed. Maintaining the chamber at reduced pressure during the GC-MS analysis time eliminated memory effect and did not affect the next sample analysis. The volatile substances in a cell phone case were also analyzed by dynamic headspace (HT3) and GC-MS, and the results of the analysis were compared with those of VC-P&T-GC-MS. Considering the chamber volume and sample weight, the VC-P&T configuration was able to collect volatile substances more efficiently than the HT3. The VC-P&T-GC-MS system is believed to be useful for VOCs measurement of inhomogeneous large sample or devices used inside clean rooms.
The base pressure and outgassing rate of a mild steel chamber were measured and compared to those of a stainless steel chamber. A combined sputter-ion and non-evaporable getter pump with a nominal pumping speed of 490 l/s generated the base pressure of $2.7{\times}10^{-11}$ mbar in the mild steel chamber and $1.2{\times}10^{-10}$ mbar in the stainless steel chamber. The rate-of-rise measurements show that the mild steel has an extremely low outgassing rate of $2.6{\times}10^{-13}$ mbar $ls^{-1}cm^{-2}$, which is about one-order of magnitude smaller than the outgassing rate of the stainless steels. Vacuum annealing of the mild steel at $850^{\circ}C$ reduced the outgassing rate further to $8.8{\times}10^{-14}$ mbar $ls^{-1}cm^{-2}$, which was comparable to the outgassing rate of a heat treated stainless steel for extreme-high vacuum use.
