  • Recently, To provide various service for user, there are some trends to construct health care system using bio-sensors and wireless network technologies. Accordingly, An effective middleware is needed to manage and control the various bio-sensors. Also, it is important to extend network and interoperate the various application system in healthcare service. In this paper, we propose to be connected with network based on UPnP by design and implementation of UPnP-ZigBee bridge. The proposed UPnP-ZigBee bridge manage and control ZigBee sensor module effectively. we implemented and tested ECG, PPG, and environment sensor module based on ZigBee wireless network to apply in health care service.

  • The convergence tendency accelerates the realization of the ubiquitous healthcare (u-Healthcare) between the technology including the power generaation and IT-BT-NT of the ubiquitous computing technology. By rapidly analyzing a large amount of collected from the sensor network with processing and delivering to the medical team an u-Healthcare can provide a patient for an inappropriate regardless of the time and place. As to the existing u-Healthcare, since the sensor node all transmitted collected data by using with the Zigbee protocol the processing burden of the base node was big and there was many communication frequency of the sensor node. In this paper, the u-Healthcare system in which it can efficiently apply to mobile apparatuses it provided the transfer rate in which it is superior to the bio-signal delivery where there are the life and direct relation which by using the Bluetooth instead of the Zigbee protocol and in which it is variously used in the ubiquitous environment was designed. Moreover, by applying the EEF(Embedded Event Filtering) technique in which data in which it includes in the event defined in advance selected and it transmits with the base node, the communication frequency and were reduced. We confirmed to be the system in which it is efficient through the simulation result than the existing Electrocardiogram Measurement system.

  • 본 논문에서는 Weighted Cenrtoid Localization(WCL) 알고리즘을 적용하여, 고정 노드 (Anchors) 사이의 측정된 수신 신호 강도(RSSI)로 Zigbee 실내 위치 인식 시스템을 구현하였다. 센서 노드의 위치는 RSSI에 의해 선택된 가상 고정 노드에 WCL을 적용하여 결정한다. WCL에서 부여하는 가중치는 고정 노드와 RSSI 센서 노드 위치의 거리에 대한 함수이며, 고정 노드 간의 측정된 RSSI 값으로 구한다. 고정 노드 간의 RSSI로 가상 고정 노드를 이용한 WCL은 기존의 방식에서 사용되는 고정 노드의 수를 줄이고, 측정 대상의 위치 정확도를 측정된 RSSI 값만으로 추정한 위치보다 7.8% 향상되는 것을 확인 하였다.

  • 최근 가정내에 가전기기들을 무선으로 제어할 수 있는 홈 네트워킹이 많이 발전하는 추세에 있을 뿐만 아니라 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 무선 홈 네트워킹은 기존의 유선에 비해 배선에 따른 비용 절감과 사용자의 편의로 가정내에 용이하게 적용할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 각 센서 노드들로부터 수집된 정보들을 저전력, 저비용의 장점과 홈 네트워킹의 적합한 Zigbee 통신을 이용하여 구현하였다. 무선 센서 네트워크를 통해 온도, 습도, 조도등과 같은 환경 데이터를 사용자 개개인의 선호도에 따라 가정내에 가전기기들을 자동 설정 제어하였다.

  • The sensor network that may be deemed to fall in the field of ubiquitous computing performs the basic function of transmitting sensing data through the autonomous sensing and the Ad hoc network. In order to collect and treat various sensing data at the time of application and manage extremely limited system resources, the sensor network requires the embedded operating system that uses low power, a small cord size and the least hardware resources. In this paper, The operating system having a new structure for constructing the IEEE 802. 15.4 MAC and Zigbee sensor network is suggested and can be formed by reviewing the characteristics and the core structural requirements of the operating system for the sensor network based on operating systems, which have been formed under existing similar conditions, and applying such features and core structural requirements to the design of the operating system for achieving the features and the requirements.

  • In this paper, we study the design and implementation of an auto recognition system by using wireless sensor node. RFID system has a limited communication range and communication network is damaged, it is impossible to communicate. Therefore, easy installation and low cost wireless system are required in an area where the installation of communication between RFID system and monitoring system is difficult, or a portable RFID system is installed. The auto recognition system in this study is implemented by the combination of 13.56MHz RFID system using MLX12115 RFID chip of Melexis company and wireless sensor node system using CC2420 Zigbee chip of Chipcon company. As a result, we develop an auto recognition system which makes it possible to get tag's information wirelessly. Also, it has a simple circuit structure and is small in size.

  • Remote control service, monitoring, gear service of information electronic appliance, various services of security service and so on of Home network that is by link of Ubiquitous environment are offered. These services need verification process through priority test to use and are changed. If test using actuality information electronic device for test, much expenses and time may be invested. Home network test bed offers softness of research using control model and simulator, in this paper, Wish to design and embody home network test bed to do environment construction of home network and test of application service. Because use istent power line just as it is without necessity to establish circuit in addition by solution of home network testbed, expense costs to be less and establishment used easy PLC. Also, propriated Wireless sensor network that use Zigbee by solution of home network testbed. Appliance check and monitor square do by Home Auto that know embodied, and embodied by Home Gateway that interlink terminals of Home Auto and out of.

  • Sensor networks are needed for special purposes such as collecting or transmitting information by using sensor devices, for which various routing protocols have been proposed. Among existing protocols, the modified PEGASIS routing technique is known to be effective when applied to cases with directional transmissions of data. However it does not consider recovery from errors or guaranteeing stability in data transmission, while sensor devices performing repetitive relays and controls are prone to errors. In this paper, a double relay routing protocol for Zigbee based sensor networks where data are transfered reliably with a linear direction. The proposed protocol is effective in the sense that it secures the relaible transmission of data with minimal energy consumption based on a directional data transfer. A streetlight control system has been presented as an application of the proposed protocol.

  • FBG sensors are mainly used to measure deformation of structures such as tunnels, bridges and ships. In this paper, an interrogator of FBG sensors is developed and implemented to measure the status of structures. A developed interrogator includes CAN wired and Zigbee wireless communication for remote monitoring. Strain of structure is measured using shift of wavelength of reflected light from FBG sensor. A digital signal controller is used to process signals of a FBG sensor and transmit data for remote monitoring. As a result of experiment, developed interrogator is effective to measure deformation of structures.

  • This paper proposes the PV module fault diagnosis sensor which is applied to Zigbee wireless network, and monitoring system using the developed sensor. It is designed with embedded sensor in junction box. The diagnosis elements for algorithm were voltage and temperature. For that reason, It is able to reduce the price and separate the fault of bypass diode from shading differently from other monitoring systems. This fault diagnosis algorithm verified through the Field-installed operations of PV module.
