Zigbee & PLC Integrated Gateway Development for U-Health Care Environment and Intelligent Home Network (유비쿼터스 헬스케어 환경 및 지능형 홈 네트워크를 위한 Zigbee & PLC 통합 게이트웨이 개발)

  • In this paper, we implemented the integrated gateway for health care and home network system based on PLC(Power Line Communication) and Zigbee. The designed system is consists of sensors, integrated gateway, Zigbee module and PLC modem. The integrated gateway will transmit the data which is collected by health care sensors to health care control system and control an appliance for comfortable environment to medical facilities. The implemented gateway can support various health care and home network service.

  • A wireless optical fiber interferometer arterial pulse wave sensor system is developed for remote sensing. The wireless optical fiber sensor system consists of Zigbee communication modules and an optical fiber interferometer arterial pulse wave sensor. The optical fiber arterial pulse wave sensor is an in-line Michelson interferometer enclosed with steel reinforcement in a heat-shrinkable tube. The Zigbee communication modules are composed of an ATmega128L microprocessor and a CC2420 Zigbee chip. The arterial pulse waves detected by the optical fiber sensor were transmitted and received via the Zigbee communication modules. The experimental results show that the wireless optical fiber sensor system can be used for monitoring the arterial pulse waves remotely.

  • Zigbee communication is applied in the many communication system. This paper is the system development contents which applies a zigbee communication. The system which develops from this paper is apply a zigbee communication in order system Does so, Reduced the step of orders from employee or from counter. Because of that, reduced the order number of times which goes wrong and shortened a time. Reasoning is caused by prevented an order delay at busy time. Order and payment are together controlled from inside the program which is developed. The adjust of the present state of sale does not have a necessity. Because that is stored at Database.

  • This paper introduces Zigbee based ubiquitous service. Most of ubiquitous services require the position information. Positioning algorithms utilize the transmission characteristics of the signal. Zigbee based positioning researches have been conducted mainly for the spatial factors inside the building. This paper proposes the possibility to consider the temporal factors of Zigbee signal and analyzes empirically the signal characteristics influenced according to the temporal factors as well as the spatial factors for ubiquitous services based on Zigbee sensor network.

  • Zigbee that is the wireless personal area networks communication technology for low power consumption is low-cost, low-power consumption, and small size and program code. From the present paper symbol and chip sequence of existing Zigbee module undergarment PN code generators which are a 1:1 mapping method it uses shift register and it plans the method which it proposes. The experimental result used Xilinx ISE and it measured synthesis and timing and power.

  • Zigbee is communication technology most ideal because Zigbee support low power communication and wide expansion in wireless home network. However, Zigbee is not popular, because of Zigbee always has Hidden Node Problem and Transit Delay Problem. We propose new Beacon Frame structure to solve the two problem in Zigbee. New Beacon Frame structure reduces a Super Frame Duration and add a same space of a Control Frame Duration. We expect to solved method of Hidden Node Problem that exchange terminal information to using RTS/CTS. Also, We expect to solved method of Transit Delay Problem that put Beacon between Control Frame Duration and Super Frame Duration for synchronization. We confirm new Beacon Frame to solved two problem in OPNET simulation at Zigbee QoS Parameters. We measure Delay(sec) for solution degree of Transit Delay Problem, and measure Throughput(bits/sec) and Load (bits/sec) for solution degree of Hidden Node Problem.

  • According to a diversification of surveillance camera function, they have got to control the surveillance camera utilizing the controller or personal computer. The Method of solution is wired communications and wireless communications. But wired communications are a weak point because that need to use another cable and in case of communication system utilizing the Bluetooth universalized, there is the difficulty in the utility because electricity consumption is big. But the wireless communication utilizing the zigbee protocol is that electiricity consumption is more small than Bluetooth and reliability of data transmission is better. Therefore I designed system for control of surveillance camera with Zigbee protocol.

  • DC bus electrolytic capacitors are used in variety of equipments as smoothing element of the power converters because it has high capacitance for its size and low price. It is responsible for frequent breakdowns of many static converters and inverter drive systems. Therefore it is important to diagnosis monitoring the condition of an electrolytic capacitor in real-time to predict the failure of power converter. In this paper, the on-line remote diagnosis monitoring system for DC BUS electrolytic capacitors of power converter using low-cost type Zigbee communication modules is developed. To estimate the health status of the capacitor, the equivalent series resistor(ESR) of the component has to be determined. The capacitor ESR is estimated by using RMS computation using AC coupling method of DC link ripple voltage/current. The Zigbee communication-based experimental results show that the proposed remote DC capacitor diagnosis monitoring system can be applied to DC/DC converter and UPS successfully.

  • This study implemented the LED lighting control system using Zigbee Communication. We designed a desk lamp using LEDs. The PWM signals control LEDs using LED drivers. A desk lamp received PWM signals using Zigbee protocol to control LED Color, Color temperature and brightness. Zigbee protocol that have such several advantages to existent Home network system can upgrade more interface dimension.

  • Zigbee 홈 센서네트워크에서의 보안은 최근 떠오르는 중요한 문제 중 하나이다. 네트워크에 침입하거나 기능을 마비시키기 위해 여러 가지 공격방법들이 사용되고 있으며, 기 중 정상 노드로의 DoS(Denial of Service)공격은 네트워크에서 사용 중인 주파수를 알고 있다면 쉽게 수행될 수 있고 그 후 무력화된 노드의 인증정보를 이용해서 더 큰 문제를 발생시킬 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 zigbee 노드에 대한 DoS 공격과 인증정보위조 공격을 효율적으로 탐지해 낼 수 있는 방식을 제안한다.
