Analysis of Low Power and Channel Interferences for Zigbee (Zigbee의 저전력화와 채널간섭 분석)

  • The battery consumption and the wireless communication pattern were analyzed for the low power and the improvement of channel interferences between of Zigbee networks and WPAN(Wireless Personal Area Network). The communication patterns considering end device's battery saving during channel searching period were analyzed for low power consumption topology of Zigbee dynamic ad-hoc characteristics. And, the communication patterns were analyzed due to channel interferences between WLAN and Random Back off of Zigbee, too. As a result, the communication patterns of Zigbee's coordinator and end devices is alleviated for the longer battery life time of Zigbee's end device due to Zigbee's end device setting techniques.

  • 본 논문에서는 Zigbee Alliance의 표준에 따라 Application support sub-layer (APS)와 Zigbee device object (ZDO)를 설계하고 구현한다. 본 논문에서 구현된 Zigbee는 Zigbee Alliance의 표준안 1.0을 만족하도록 설계되었다. 본 논문에서 설계되고 구현된 APS와 ZDO를 이용하여 Zigbee 네트워크를 구성하고 운영할 수 있다.

  • Zigbee는 단말에 대한 경제성이 뛰어나고 저 전력통신을 이용하기 때문에 수명이 길다. Mesh, Tree, Star 등 다양한 방식의 토플리지 구조를 지원 하며 확장성이 뛰어나 군사적인 용도, 환경 모니터링 시스템 등 많은 분야에 사용되고 있다. 최근 스마트그리드환경을 구축함에 있어 Zigbee는 HAN(Home Area Network)에 표준으로 사용될 예정이며 현재는 Zigbee를 이용한 AMR(Automatic Meter Reading)을 시범 중에 있다. 일반적으로 ZIgbee Network은 ZC(Zigbee Coordinator), ZCH(Zigbee Cluster Head), ZE(Zigbee End Device) 3가지로 구성되며, Zigbee Network에서 발생할 수 있는 취약점은 허가되지 않은 디바이스의 접근, 라우터의 흐름을 조작하는 방법, ZC(Zigbee Coordinator)와 ZE(Zigbee End Device)사이의 키 전송 시 안전하지 않은 채널을 이용하여 전송되는 문제가 발생된다. 본 논문에서는, TCP(Third Party Center)를 이용함으로써, ZE와 ZC간의 키 생성 시 발생하는 취약점을 보완하였다. 또한 인증절차를 강화함으로써 ZE(Zigbee End Device)에서 발생 할 수 있는 취약점을 보완하고자 하였으며 RS(Register Server)를 이용하여 HAN에 존재하는 디바이스에 대하여 실시간 모니터링이 가능하게 하였다.

  • In this paper, Zigbee/PLC gateway system is designed for Ubiquitous health care. A protocol conversion algorithm for smooth information exchange between Zigbee and PLC communication has been implemented on the gatway. If a moving object is detected by wireless sensor, the data is transmitted to gateway. Zigbee/PLC gateway analyzes received data and transmits to Power Line Communication for real-time monitoring. Implemented system is can support elder who lives alone activity analysis, crime prevention system, Home network service.

  • At the present day, devices for measurement and control of data by wireless based computer have been generalized. The devices with low cost and high performance have been spotlighted. If Zigbee communication solution is used in dangerous places and places that can not in use wire communication, computer can process data without limitation. Zigbee communication solution is effective in power consumption as compared with RF or bluetooth and can use battery. System cost of Zigbee also is very low, so can install lots of nodes. The system made in this paper transmit by wireless many LMCs(Laser Measuring Control) of wireless transmission system for distance measurement and many slave Zigbee to a master Zigbee.

  • Zigbee Alliance에서 표준화 진행 중인 Zigbee Stack을 가진 Zigbee 시스템은 통신매체로 RF(Radio Frequency)를 사용한다. 본 논문에서는 RF를 사용하는 기존의 Zigbee 시스템이 신호감쇄 문제나 주파수 공유로 인한 간섭문제 등에 약한 점을 고려하여 유선통신 매체로서 Power Line을 사용하는 PLC 시스템과의 인터페이스를 제안한다. 제안된 시스템은 Zigbee 시스템과 PLC 시스템간에 UART 인터페이스를 가능하게 함으로써 Zigbee 네트워크의 한계를 극복할 수 있으며 Zigbee 시스템의 적용 범위 및 성능 향상을 기대할 수 있다.

  • In this paper, we developed a Zigbee module based on CC2520 which is possible to construct the mesh network and also support to Zigbee Pro standard as a preceding research of autonomous moving of mobile robot using Zigbee. After manufacturing the Zigbee module, we selected antenna to fit Zigbee wireless frequency band using network analyze as means performance improvement. We also carry out an impedance matching of Zigbee module, extend the possible distance of two-way wireless communication and ensure the safety of communication.

  • We show the way how to design and develop the information system using Zigbee technology. First we set the protocol for zigbee tag and reader. And then we give the information system using designed system based on zigbee technology. In this paper, we use MG2455-F48 module as zigbee module.

  • Zigbee is communication technology most ideal because Zigbee support low power communication and wide expansion in wireless home network. However, Zigbee is not popular, because of Zigbee always has Hidden Node Problem and Transit Delay Problem. We propose new Beacon Frame structure to solve the two problem in Zigbee. New Beacon Frame structure reduces a Super Frame Duration and add a same space of a Control Frame Duration. We expect to solved method of Hidden Node Problem that exchange terminal information to using RTS/CTS. Also, We expect to solved method of Transit Delay Problem that put Beacon between Control Frame Duration and Super Frame Duration for synchronization. We confirm new Beacon Frame to solved two problem in OPNET simulation at Zigbee QoS Parameters. We measure Delay(sec) for solution degree of Transit Delay Problem, and measure Throughput(bits/sec) and Load (bits/sec) for solution degree of Hidden Node Problem.

A Study on the multiplex transmission method according to the data size using Zigbee and Wifi in Wireless Sensor Networks (무선 센서 네트워크에서의 Zigbee 및 Wifi를 이용한 데이터 크기에 따른 다중 전송 방법에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, we propose an efficient method of transmitting data according to size using the Zigbee and Wifi in a wireless sensor network. In existing wireless sensor network using Zigbee and Wifi, Zigbee transmits text and Wifi transmits image and video. Existing research methods in this way is caused a problem that the transmission by selecting a transmission method according to data type. In the case of aggregated data, Zigbee is less efficient than Wifi in some case because of limitation of zigbee's transmission rate, even if data type is text. In this paper, we propose a method for selecting a transmission method by considering the size of the data and transfer efficiency not by data type. It was obtained results that appear to be convenient, according to the linkage algorithm structure of the image and sensing data by selecting a transmission method from data size, not the type of the given data.
