ANSI/ASQ Z1.4, Sampling Procedures and Tables for Inspection By Attributes, has recently been published by American Society for Quality is based upon the MIL-STD-105E. This paper discusses the features of the ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 - 2003 and Dodge - Romig Sampling.

The purpose of this study is to estimate Z-R relationships of between radar reflectivity and rainfall rate. The Z-R relationships estimated that rainfall events are selected at Yeongchun water level station where the discharge recorded from 1,000cms to 8,519cms in chungju dam basin. The result of Z-R relationship distributed at thirty two raingage sites, the constant values of A and $\beta$ are distributed between 26.4 and 7.4, 0.9 and 1.56 respectively. The correlation coefficients of standard Z-R relationships(Z=200Rl.6)shows that 0.63 lower than each other raingage sites(0.65~0.748).

(1998); HDF 4-470.3 at z=5.60.' should be read as 'The first discovery of a galaxy beyond z=5 was reported by Dey et al. (1998); 0140+326 RD1 at z=5.34'. The authors sincerely regret this error.

3-Hydroxybenzopyran[3,2-c]-[1]-benzopyran-6,7-diones (3) and 3-methoxycarbonylcoumarin (4) were prepared via condensation of 1 with resorcinol in the presence of sodium methoxide. The chemical behavior of 3 towards acetic anhydride, alkyl halides and diazonium chloride is described. The electron impact ionization mass spectra of compounds 4,5 and 6a,b show a weak molecular ion peak and a base peak of m/z 89, m/z 280. m/z 91 and m/z 120 resulting from a cleavage fragmentation respectively. The molecular ion of compounds 3, 6b, and 7a is a base peak of m/z 280, m/z 366 and m/z 488 respectively. Compound 7a give a characteristic fragmentation pattern with a two very stable fragmentation of m/z 383 and m/z 77.

In the lepidopteran surveys in Mt. Changbai, China, during 2000-2003, 10 species of the genus Zanclognatha Lederer of Noctuidae were recognized. Of them, a new species, Zanclognatha lui sp. novo is described, two species (Zanclognatha umbrosalis Staudinger and Z. perfractalis Bryk) are reported for the first time from China, and four species (Z. fumosa, Z. lilacina, Z. violacealis and Z. tarsipennalis) are newly known from Mt. Changbai. Synonymies, distributional ranges, photos of the genitalia, and images of the new and newly recorded species are given.

The self-imaging effect or lensless imaging effect of a phase line grating is theoretically analyzed by using Fresnel diffraction theory, then experimentally investigated. The self-imaging distance $z_{T,p}$, that is the imaging distance being perfectly copied from the phase distribution of the phase grating to its intensity distribution with the magnification of 1X, can be uniquely defined as the (4n-3) $z_{T,a}$/4(n=positive integers), where rte is the well-known self-imaging distance of an amplitude grating. When the coherent laser beam is illuminated at the phase grating, the self-imaged images were obtained at $z_{T,p}$= $z_{T,a}$/4 and $z_{T,p}$=5 $z_{T,a}$/4 without any optics. On the other side, the phase-reversed self-imaging was obviously observed at $z_{T,p}$ = 3 $z_{T,a}$/4. The visibility of self-imaged images of a phase line grating as a function of the number of slits of the input grating was measured by the FFT(Fast Fourier Transform) results of the self-imaging images. As a result a stationary maximum visibility of V = 0.10 can be obtained from a grating with more than 15 slit pairs.n 15 slit pairs.

Three cerebrosides 2, 3, and 5 and two terpene glycosides 1 and 4 have been isolated from the methanol extract of the root of Aster scaber. Their structures were determined as 3-Ο-$\beta$-D-glucuronopyranosyl-oleanolic acid methyl ester (1), (2S, 3S, 4R, 2 R, 8Z, 15 Z)-N-2 -hydroxy-15 -tetracosenoyl-1-Ο-$\beta$-D-glucopyranosyl-4-hydroxy-8-sphingenine (2), (2S, 3S, 4R, 8Z)-N-octadecanoyl-1-Ο-$\beta$-D-glucopyranosyl-4-hydroxy-8-sphingenine (3), 1$\alpha$-hydroxy-6$\beta$-Ο-$\beta$-D-glucosyl-eudesm-3-ene (4), and (2S, 3S, 4R, 2 R, 8Z)-N-2 -hydroxy-hexadecanoyl-1-Ο-$\beta$-D-glucopyranosyl-4-hydroxy-8-sphingenine (5) on the basis of spectroscopic methods.

Let X be a closed, oriented, Riemannian 4-manifold with ${{b_2}^+}(x)\;>\;1$ and of simple type. Suppose that ${\sigma}\;:\;X\;{\rightarrow}\;X$ is an involution preserving orientation with an oriented, connected, compact 2-dimensional submanifold $\Sigma$ as a fixed point set with ${\Sigma\cdot\Sigma}\;{\geq}\;0\;and\;[\Sigma]\;{\neq}\;0\;{\in}\;H_2(X;\mathbb{Z})$. We show that if _X(\Sigma)\;+\;{\Sigma\cdots\Sigma}\;{\neq}\;0$ then the $Spin^{C}$ bundle $\={P}$ is not $\mathbb{Z}_2-equivariant$, where det $\={P}\;=\;L$ is a basic class with $c_1(L)[\Sigma]\;=\;0$.

This study described the phonology and reproductive potential of four species of Korean seagrasses, Zostera caespitosa, Z. caulescem, Z. Japonica and Z. marina. Z. caespitosa and Z. caulescens sampled from a mixed stand at the subtidal area of Yulpo Bay, Geojedo of the South Sea of Korea in November 2002 and August 2003. Z japonica and Z. marina occurred at the depth between the middle intertidal and shallow subtidal (<1m below mean sea level) of Seungbongdo (in Yellow Sea) samples collected in February and October 2003. The sexual reproductive phase of the four Zostera species was apparently different in timing of flowering, reproductive period, fruiting and seed maturing. Z. caespitosa flowered from February to early May $(10-16^{\circ}C)$, and its seed production completed in early May. The reproductive shoots of Z. caulescens began to appear in January $(9^{\circ}C)$, and its flowering followed from February to June $(10-19^{\circ}C)$. The flowers of Z. japonica were observed from July to September $(18-22^{\circ}C)$, and its seeds matured from August to September. The most commonly I marina flowered from April to August $(7-21^{\circ}C)$ and developed into seeds in July. Z. caulescens, the largest plant, had the highest number of seeds per shoot and longest spadix length. Z. marina, which was intermediate In size, recorded the highest reproductive potential. The study indicates that the reproductive phase and potential of the four species of seagrass from Korea are highly related to water temperature, and the populations of these species show a perennial lifespan with a low sexual reproductive input.
