Analysis of Hydraulic Characteristics According to Operation of Movable Weir (가동보 운영에 따른 수리학적 특성 분석)

  • 현재 국내에서 시행되고 있는 '4대강 살리기 사업'은 하천에서 발생하는 홍수 및 가뭄재해방지를 위한 다양한 공학적 노력을 시도하고 있다. 특히 안정적인 수위 및 유량확보와 홍수방지를 위한 보(weir)가 4대강 유역에 16개 설치되고 있다. 이러한 보 구간에는 고정보와 가동보가 복합적으로 설치되고 있으며 가동보는 그 형상과 운영방식에 따라 다양한 설계방안이 적용되었다. '4대강 살리기 사업' 중 낙동강 23공구의 강정보 공사 구간에는 원호형태의 측면 형상을 갖는 라이징 섹터게이트(Rising sector gate)가 적용되었다. 라이징 섹터게이트는 구조물의 높이가 낮고 수문의 개폐장치가 수문피어 구조물 내에 설치되어 경관이 우수하며, 구조가 간단하여 비체와 수류의 안정성이 뛰어나기 때문에 4개의 공사구간에 적용되었다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 강정보의 가동보 구간 2문 중 1문을 1/100 축척으로 제작하여 가변경사 개수로에 설치하고, 홍수 빈도별 상류 유량 조건과 하류단 수위조건으로 케이스를 정하여 실험을 수행하였다. 본 실험에서 사용한 개수로 장치는 너비 0.6 m, 높이 0.8 m, 그리고 길이 15.0 m(측정가능 구간, 헤드탱크와 테일게이트 부제외)의 개수로 실험장치이다. 측부는 모두 강화유리로 되어 육안관찰 및 계측 시 용이하게 제작되었으며, 순환식 유량 공급장치를 구축하여 수로의 하부에 설치된 유량탱크로부터 계속적으로 순환하도록 설계되었다. 또한 수로 하단으로부터 상단방향으로 약 33 m 지점에 전동 유압식 Jack screw 2기가 설치되어 경사도를 조절할 수 있도록 제작되었다. 유량조절용 판넬의 제어기판에는 디지털 경사계가 설치되어 있기 때문에 보다 정확한 경사도의 조절이 가능하다. 보 모형의 총연장은 53 cm이며 폭은 45 cm이다. 섹터게이트의 게이트부분은 직경 15 cm로 설계하였다. 문주부분을 포함한 모든 모형은 아크릴로 제작하며 레이저의 주사를 방해하지 않으며 투과율을 최대로 할 수 있도록 고강도의 아크릴을 가장 얇게 하여 중공형태를 채택하였다. 실험조건은 우선 보의 운영방안에 따라 게이트의 4가지 개방도를 설정하였고, 특히 평수위조건에서는 보의 상류부에 퇴적된 퇴적물의 세척을 위한 flushing 운영개방도 포함되어 있다. 홍수시에 대한 유량조건은 2년 빈도에 해당하는 유량을 수문의 비율과 상사법칙에 따라 설정하였으며 하류단 수위조건도 동일한 조건에 대한 값을 채택하여 적용하였다. 유동장의 해석을 위해서는 비접촉식 계측방법인 PIV(Particle Image Velocimetry) 시스템을 채택하여 2차원(x-z 방향) laser sheet를 생성하고 주입된 particle에서 반사된 변위(displacement) 정보를 상호상관(cross-correlation)기법으로 유동장을 계산하였다. 또한 수리모형과 동일한 지형격자를 구축하여 3차원 CFD 프로그램인 FLOW-3D로 계산하여 결과를 비교하였다. 특히 flushing 운영방안에 대한 게이트부의 개방도를 세가지(30, 45, $60^{\circ}$)로 구분하여 모의하였고, 적절한 개방도를 제안하고자 하였다. 실험결과는 우선 4가지 운영방안에 대한 가동보 주변에서의 유속장을 파악하였고, 최대유속의 발생위치의 변화를 확인할 수 있었다. 그리고 이에 따른 보의 바닥에서 최대유속이 발생할 경우, 하상보호공 위치와 거리 등에 대해서 분석하였다. 이를 통해 가동보 운영에 따른 다양한 유속구조를 파악할 수 있게 되며 구조적 안정성 확보를 위한 검증자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 예상된다. 향후, 가동보 운영방안 중 수세효과(flushing effect)에 대한 효과분석을 위해 게이트부 상류구간에 적절한 입경과 비중의 퇴적물질을 설치하는 연구와 상류부에서의 유입유사농도 및 시간변화에 따른 퇴적에 관한 연구를 수행할 계획이다.

$M\"{o}ssbauer$ Studies by a Heat Treatment in $CoFe_2O_4$ (열처리에 따른 $CoFe_2O_4$$M\"{o}ssbauer$ 분광학적 연구)

  • The crystallographic and magnetic properties of the ferrimagnetic $CoFe_2O_4$ have been studied by X-ray and Mossbauer measurements. The crystal structure is found to be cubic spinel structure with the lattice constant $a_{0}=8.381{\pm}0.005{\AA}\;and\;a_{0}=8.391{\pm}0.005{\AA}$ for slow-cooled and quenched CoFeZ04' respectively. Mossbauer spectra of $CoFe_2O_4$ have been taken at various temperatures ranging from 13 to 780 K. The isorrer shifts indicate that the valence states of the Fe ions for tetrahedral(A) and octahedral(B) sites have ferric character. Debye temperatures for the A and B sites are found to be ${\theta}_A=734{\pm}5K\;and\;{\theta}_B=248{\pm}5K$ for slow-cooled and ${\theta}_A=531{\pm}5K\;and\;{\theta}_B=197{\pm}5K$ for quenched, respectively. Atomic migration from the A to the B sites starts near 400 K and 350 K for slow-cooled and quenched $CoFe_2O_4$, respectively, am increases rapidly with increasing temperature to such a degree that about 69 % for slow-cooled and 91 % for quenched of the ferric ions on the A sites have rmved over to the B sites at 700 K.

EFFECT OF SOFT-START CURING ON THE CONTRACTION STRESS OF COMPOSITE RESIN RESTORATION POLYMERIZED WITH LED AND PLASMA CURING UNIT (LED와 플라즈마 광원의 완속기시 광중합 방식이 복합레진의 수축응력에 미치는 영향)

  • Effect of Soft-start curing on the contraction stress of composite resin restoration polymerized with LED and plasma curing unit The purpose of this study was to evaluate the influence of soft-start light curing on contraction stress and hardness of composite resin. Composite resin (Filtek $Z-250^{TM}$, 3M ESPE, USA) was cured using the one-step continuous curing method with three difference light sources ; conventional halogen light ($XL3000^{TM}$, 3M ESPE, USA) cure for 40 seconds at $400 mw/cm^2$, LED light (Elipar Freelight $2^{TM}$, 3M-ESPE, USA) cure for 20 seconds at $800\;mW/cm^2$ a and plasma arc light ($Flipo^{TM}$, LOKKI, France) cure for 12 seconds at $1300 mW/cm^2$. For the soft-start curing method ; LED light (Elipar Freelight $2^{TM}$, 3M-ESPE, USA) cure exponential increase with 5 seconds followed by 17 seconds at $800\;mW/cm^2$ and plasma arc light ($Flipo^{TM}$, LOKKI, France) cure 2 seconds light exposure at $650\;mW/cm^2$ followed by 11 seconds at $1300\;mW/cm^2$. The strain guage method was used for determination of polymerization contraction. Measurements were recorded at each 2 second for the total of 800 seconds including the periods of light application. Obtained data were analyzed statically using Repeated measures ANOVA, One way ANOVA, and Tukey test. The results of present study can be summarized as follows: 1. Composite resin restoration showed transient expansion just after irradiation of curing light. Contraction stress was increased rapidly at the early phase of polymerization and reduced slowly as time elapsed (P<0.05). 2. Contraction stress was not revealed significant difference between Halogen curing light groups and LED and Plasma Light curing with soft-start group (P>0.05). 3. LED and Plasma Light curing with soft-start showed lower contraction stress than the one-step continuous light curing (P<0.05).

Performance Evaluation of Siemens CTI ECAT EXACT 47 Scanner Using NEMA NU2-2001 (NEMA NU2-2001을 이용한 Siemens CTI ECAT EXACT 47 스캐너의 표준 성능 평가)

  • Purpose: NEMA NU2-2001 was proposed as a new standard for performance evaluation of whole body PET scanners. in this study, system performance of Siemens CTI ECAT EXACT 47 PET scanner including spatial resolution, sensitivity, scatter fraction, and count rate performance in 2D and 3D mode was evaluated using this new standard method. Methods: ECAT EXACT 47 is a BGO crystal based PET scanner and covers an axial field of view (FOV) of 16.2 cm. Retractable septa allow 2D and 3D data acquisition. All the PET data were acquired according to the NEMA NU2-2001 protocols (coincidence window: 12 ns, energy window: $250{\sim}650$ keV). For the spatial resolution measurement, F-18 point source was placed at the center of the axial FOV((a) x=0, and y=1, (b)x=0, and y=10, (c)x=70, and y=0cm) and a position one fourth of the axial FOV from the center ((a) x=0, and y=1, (b)x=0, and y=10, (c)x=10, and y=0cm). In this case, x and y are transaxial horizontal and vertical, and z is the scanner's axial direction. Images were reconstructed using FBP with ramp filter without any post processing. To measure the system sensitivity, NEMA sensitivity phantom filled with F-18 solution and surrounded by $1{\sim}5$ aluminum sleeves were scanned at the center of transaxial FOV and 10 cm offset from the center. Attenuation free values of sensitivity wire estimated by extrapolating data to the zero wall thickness. NEMA scatter phantom with length of 70 cm was filled with F-18 or C-11solution (2D: 2,900 MBq, 3D: 407 MBq), and coincidence count rates wire measured for 7 half-lives to obtain noise equivalent count rate (MECR) and scatter fraction. We confirmed that dead time loss of the last flame were below 1%. Scatter fraction was estimated by averaging the true to background (staffer+random) ratios of last 3 frames in which the fractions of random rate art negligibly small. Results: Axial and transverse resolutions at 1cm offset from the center were 0.62 and 0.66 cm (FBP in 2D and 3D), and 0.67 and 0.69 cm (FBP in 2D and 3D). Axial, transverse radial, and transverse tangential resolutions at 10cm offset from the center were 0.72 and 0.68 cm (FBP in 2D and 3D), 0.63 and 0.66 cm (FBP in 2D and 3D), and 0.72 and 0.66 cm (FBP in 2D and 3D). Sensitivity values were 708.6 (2D), 2931.3 (3D) counts/sec/MBq at the center and 728.7 (2D, 3398.2 (3D) counts/sec/MBq at 10 cm offset from the center. Scatter fractions were 0.19 (2D) and 0.49 (3D). Peak true count rate and NECR were 64.0 kcps at 40.1 kBq/mL and 49.6 kcps at 40.1 kBq/mL in 2D and 53.7 kcps at 4.76 kBq/mL and 26.4 kcps at 4.47 kBq/mL in 3D. Conclusion: Information about the performance of CTI ECAT EXACT 47 PET scanner reported in this study will be useful for the quantitative analysis of data and determination of optimal image acquisition protocols using this widely used scanner for clinical and research purposes.

COMPARISON OF POLYMERIZATION SHRINKAGE AND STRAIN STRESS OF SEVERAL COMPOSITE RESINS USING STRAIN GUAGE (스트레인 게이지를 이용한 수종의 복합레진의 중합수축 및 수축응력의 비교)

  • Polymerization shrinkage of photoinitiation type composite resin cause several clinical problems. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the shrinkage strain stress, linear polymerization shrinkage, compressive strength and microhardness of recently developed composite resins. The composite resins were divided into four groups according to the contents of matrix and filler type. Group I : $Denfil^{TM}$(Vericom, Korea) with conventional matrix, Group II : $Charmfil^{(R)}$(Dentkist, Korea) with microfiller and nanofller mixture, Group III : $Filtek^{TM}$ Z250(3M-ESPE, USA) TEGDMA replaced by UDMA and Bis-EMA(6) in the matrix, and Group IV : $Filtek^{TM}$ Supreme(3M-ESPE, USA) using pure nanofiller. Preparation of acrylic molds were followed by filling and curing with light gun. Strain gauges were attached to each sample and the leads were connected to a strainmeter. With strainmeter shrinkage strain stress and linear polymerization shrinkage was measured for 10 minutes. The data detected at 1 minute and 10 minutes were analysed statistically with ONE-way ANOVA test. To evaluate the mechanical properties of tested materials, compressive hardness test and microhardness test were also rendered. The results can be summarized as follows : 1. Filling materials in acrylic molds showed initial temporary expansion in the early phase of polymerization. This was followed by contraction with the rapid increase in strain stress during the first 1 minute and gradually decreased during post-gel shrinkage phase. After 1 minute, there's no statistical differences of strain stress between groups. The highest strain stress was found in group IV and followed by group III, I, II at 10 minutes-measurement(p>.05). In regression analysis of strain stress, group III showed minimal inclination and followed by group II, I, IV during 1 minute. 2. In linear polymerization shrinkage test, the composite resins in every group showed initial increase of shrinkage velocity during the first 1 minute, followed by gradually decrease of shrinkage velocity. After 1 minute, group IV and group III showed statistical difference(p<.05). After 10 minutes, there were statistical differences between group IV and group I, III(p<.05) and between group II and group III(p<.05). In regression analysis of linear polymerization shrinkage, group II showed minimal inclination and followed by group IV, III, I during 1 minute. 3. In compressive strength test, group III showed the highest strength and followed by group II, IV, I. There were statistical differences between group III and group IV, I(p<.05). 4. In microhardness test, upper surfaces showed higher value than lower surfaces in every group(p<.05).

Relationships between Community Unit and Environment Factor in Forest Vegetation of Mt. Dutasan, Pyeongchang-gun (평창 두타산 산림식생의 군집유형과 입지환경요인의 상관관계)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze forest vegetation type classification and relationships between the type and environment factor in Mt. Dutasan. Data were collected by total of forty six plots using Z-M phytosociological method from June to October, 2016, and analyzed by vegetation classification, canopy layer structure and relationships between vegetation unit and environment factor using coincidence methods. As a result of vegetation type classification, Quercus mongolica community group was classified at a top level of vegetation hierarchy that was classified into Rhododendron schlippenbachii community and Betula costata community. R. schlippenbachii community was divided into Lychnis cognata group and R. schlippenbachii typical group. L. cognata group was subdivided into Veratrum oxysepalum subgroup and L. cognata typical subgroup. B. costata community was divided into Fraxinus mandshurica group and Betula schmidtii group. F. mandshurica group was subdivided into Weigela subsessilis subgroup and Cimicifuga heracleifolia subgroup. Therefore the forest vegetation was composed of six vegetation units with two kinds of bisected species groups and fourteen species groups. As the result of an analysis of canopy layer structure, there were two kinds of structures with monotonous structures V. oxysepalum subgroup (vegetation units 1), L. cognata typical subgroup (vegetation units 2), W. subsessilis subgroup (vegetation units 4) and complicated structures R. schlippenbachii typical group (vegetation units 3), C. heracleifolia subgroup (vegetation units 5), Betula schmidtii group (vegetation units 6). The vertical layer structure of vegetation unit 5 was the most developed and vegetation unit 6 had the lowest coverage of herb layer. According to the correlation between vegetation unit and environmental factor, R. schlippenbachii community (vegetation units 1~3) and B. costata community (vegetation units 4~6) were classified based on 1,100 m of altitude, middle slope, twenty of slope degree, twenty percents of bare rock and thirty centimeters of DBH in tree layer. R. schlippenbachii community (vegetation units 1~3) showed positive correlation with altitude, topography and B. costata community (vegetation units 4~6) showed negative correlation tendency with them.

안동 임하댐 일대의 삼림식생에 대한 군락생태학적 연구

  • The present study was undertaken to classify and describe the forest vegetation on Imha-dam area, located at the northern part of Kyungsang-pookdo, Korea by the phytosociological method of the Z-M school. The field investigations were carried out in 60 plots around the dam area from May 1, 1991 to October 10, 1992. The vegetation data obtained were classified by the table comparison method. As a result, the following vegetation units were recognized: A. Pinus densiflova community A-a. Miscanthus sinensis group A-b. Carex humilzs group A-c. Typical group B. Quercetum variabili-serratae Kobayashi, Muranaga et Takeda 1976 C. Robinin pseudo-acacia-Conzmeli~ta comnzultis community D. Larix leptolepis community The vascular plant species of these forest communities consist of 63 families, 144 genera, 191 species and 30 varieties. Also the relationship of the vegetation units with their environments such as altitude, slope, topography and soil condition was discussed here. On the basis of the floristic composition, life-form spectrum and soil analysis, a sere for the forest vegetation was proposed as follows: Rohinia pseitdo-acacia-Conz~neli~za communis community and Larix leptolepis community $\rightarrow$ Pinus densiflora community $\rightarrow$ Quercetunz variahili-serratae $\rightarrow$ Quercus mongolica community. Lastly, relating to the nature conservation of dam area, some of plans were discussed.

Dependence of Ethyl Carbamate Formation on the Fermentation Variables in Korean Traditional Soysauce (재래식 간장의 제조조건이 ethyl carbamate 생성에 미치는 영향)

  • Ethyl carbamate is an animal carcinogen and a by-product of fermentation. Since the highest level of ethyl carbamate was found in a traditional soy sauce sample in the previous study, soysauce was prepared in varying experimental conditions with three kinds of meju originated from different area of the country to investigate the factors affecting ethyl carbamate formation. The sample analysis methods included a semi-purification with solid-phase extraction and detection by GC-MS at SIM mode using m/z 62 fragment ion. Among the investigated factors, which includes source meju, bringing length, salt content, irradiation of visible light during bringing or storage, and storage length, source meju and storage length showed most profound effect on the formation of ethyl carbamate. Irradiation of visible light for 12 hours a day during storage lowered the concentration of ethyl carbamate compared to the soysauce kept in the dark. Meanwhile irradiation during the bringing as well as the degree of salt contents showed no effect.

Stacked Microstrip Antenna Design for PCS Base Station (개인휴대통신 기지국용 적층된 마이크로스트립 안테나 설계)

  • In this paper, the design for a PCS base station antenna which is using broadband method by a stacked structure has been studied. The sensitive parameters, such as the parasitic elements, the height of air layer between the upper and lower patch, and the variation of feed point, of the microstrip antenna that has stacked structure in a characteristics variation situation are classified and the characteristics has been investigated through the simulations. A designed antenna has following characters. Impedance bandwidth is Z57.5MHz(VSWR${\leq}$2), horizontal beamwidth is $64.1^{\circ}$, and gain is 14.7dBi. Therefore, it is confirmed the characteristics is good. In this paper, through the designing of a stacked microstrip antenna, we has investigated the availability for Korea PCS base station antenna.

  • ZnO 바리스터는 인가되는 전압에 따라 저항이 변하는 전압 의존형 저항체이며 각종 전기 전자 정보통신용 제품에 정전기(ESD) 대책용 소자로 폭 넓게 사용되는 전자 세라믹스 부품이다. 특별히 Bi-based ZnO 바리스터는 다양한 상(phase)으로 구성되어 있으며 그 입계의 전기적 특성은 소량 첨가되는 dopant의 종류에 따라 다양하게 변하는 것으로 알려져 있다. 본 연구에서는 Bi-based ZnO 바리스터 (ZnO-$Bi_2O_3$, ZnO-$Bi_2O_3-Mn_3O_4$)에서 각종 유전함수$(Z^*,M^*,\varepsilon^*,Y^*,tan{\delta})$를 이용하여 입계의 주파수-온도에 대한 특성을 살펴 보았다. 일반적인 ZnO 바리스터 제조법으로 시편을 제작하여 78K~800K 온도 범위에서 각종 유전함수를 이용하여 복소 평면도(complex plane plot)와 주파수 응답도(frequency explicit plot)의 방법으로 defect level과 입계 특성(활성화 에너지, 정전용량, 저항, 입계 안정성 등)에 대하여 고찰하였다. ZnO-$Bi_2O_3$(ZB)계와 ZnO-$Bi_2O_3-Mn_3O_4$(ZBM)계 모두 상온 이하의 온도에서 $Zn_i$$V_o$의 결함이 나타났으며, 이들의 결함 준위는 각 유전함수에 따라 다소 차이가 났다. 입계 특성으로 ZB계는 이상구간(560~660K)을 전후로 1.15 eV $\rightarrow$ 1.49 eV의 활성화 에너지의 변화가 나타났지만, ZBM계는 이러한 현상이 나타나지 않았다. 또한 입계 전위 장벽의 온도 안정성에 대해서는 Cole-Cole model을 적용하여 분포 파라미터 (distribution parameter; $\alpha$)를 구하여 고찰하였다. ZB계의 입계 안정성은 온도에 따라 불안정해 졌지만, ZBM계는 안정하였다.
