In this study, metrics for evaluation of heavy-weight impact noise were investigated. Heavy-weight impact noises generated by impact ball were recorded in real apartments using binaural microphone. Those sounds were classified into three groups according to frequency characteristics in order to control aspects which affect subjective responses to heavy-weight impact noise. Sound sources for auditory experiment were selected based on the classification result. Then auditory experiments were conducted to investigate the relationship between level indices and subjective responses. The results showed that $L_{Aeq},\;L_{Amax}$ and $LL_z$ as well as $L_{iFmax,AW}$ were highly correlated with subjective response. Therefore, $L_{Aeq}$ and $L_{Amax}$ can be used as metrics for evaluation of heavy-weight impact noise. In further studies, it is needed to verify classification of heavy-weight impact noise generated by bang machine and impact ball.
Polyester fabric is widely used in textile material though it has some problems such as low colour value, high refractive ratio(1.62) and etc. In order to give Z-black colour of polyester fabric, this study has selected several disperse dyes by measuring of absorbance, dyed in their optimum conditions and treated with 4 kinds of low refractive compounds such as silicone, fluorine, urethane and silicone-fluorine mixed compounds. The bathochromic effect of treated PET fabric evaluated as lightness(L) change by uv-visible spectrophotometer. This study also investigated that the effect of used bathochromic agents on the washing and lightfastness of treated PET fabric.
One hundred and thirty two ground water samples from the Usan area were divided into urban and non-urban groupings and were assessed between 1993 and 1996. The results of statistical analysis were as follows: There were significant differences between the two groupings in the average value of the following water quality parameters: total hardness, nitrate , pH, iron, ammonia and chloride ion in the order of Z-score . Because total hardness, nitrate, and pH were also significant in ANOVA test, these three parameters can be regarded as the most sensitive parameters of artirial pollutants. By the comprehensive com- parison of Ulsan water Quality to that of Kangwon-do, all of the major parameters(pH, KMnO4 consumption, sulfate, chloride and hardness except nitrated were confirmed as being significantly Increased levels.
The newly discovered minerals found during 30 years have been discovered with election microprobe analysis, and several other new minerals have been described largely on the basis of probe analysis. Widely used types of instrument are the wavelength dispersive spectrometer (WDS) and the energy dispersive Spectrometer (EDS), with emitted X-ray dispersed by a curved crystal that is arranged to satisfy the Bragg equation ($n{\lambda}=2dsin{\theta}$). Atomic Nos of Z 4 to 92 can be analyzed quantitatively if they present in amount exceeding 50~100ppm. The application of the microprobe in mineralogical and geological research is quantitative chemical analysis of grains as small as a few microns in diameter, individual grains in a rock or can be analyzed in thin section and polished section, analysis can be made comparatively short time, methods in non-destructure, to photographical and crystallographical information. This paper was written in order to document data evaluation procedure for quantitative energy dispersive election probe analysis.
In this paper, pilot flight training procedure of VFR (Visual Flight Rule) flight procedure was investigated through basic aviation training device (BATD) using VR HMD (Virtual Reality Head Mount Display). In order to evaluate the efficiency of the pilot training, the experimental pilot group was divided according to the similar piloting ability, then same VFR flight procedure was carried out using both the VR BATD and the conventionl BATD. The comparison of the X, Y and Z position of the aircraft from the extracted flight data was conducted. As a result, it was confirmed that the VR BATD shows better steering training efficiency tendency than the conventional BATD.
Stereolithography is the best known as rapid prototyping system. It uses the STL format data which is generated from CAD system. In this study, One of the main function of this developed CAM system deals with shape modification which divide a shape into two parts or more. The cross section of a STL part by a z-level is composed with nested or single polygonal closed loop. In order to make RP product, closed loops must fill with triangular facets from SSET and recover sliced triangular facets which is located normal direction to the cross sectional plane. The system is development by using Visuall C++ compiler in the environment of pentium PC. Operating system is Windows NT workstaion from Micro-Soft.
Let p(t, x) be the fundamental solution to the problem $${\partial}^{\alpha}_tu=-(-{\Delta})^{\beta}u,\;{\alpha}{\in}(0,2),\;{\beta}{\in}(0,{\infty})$$. If ${\alpha},{\beta}{\in}(0,1)$, then the kernel p(t, x) becomes the transition density of a Levy process delayed by an inverse subordinator. In this paper we provide the asymptotic behaviors and sharp upper bounds of p(t, x) and its space and time fractional derivatives $$D^n_x(-{\Delta}_x)^{\gamma}D^{\sigma}_tI^{\delta}_tp(t,x),\;{\forall}n{\in}{\mathbb{Z}}_+,\;{\gamma}{\in}[0,{\beta}],\;{\sigma},{\delta}{\in}[0,{\infty})$$, where $D^n_x$ x is a partial derivative of order n with respect to x, $(-{\Delta}_x)^{\gamma}$ is a fractional Laplace operator and $D^{\sigma}_t$ and $I^{\delta}_t$ are Riemann-Liouville fractional derivative and integral respectively.
Let G be a compact abelian Lie group, and M an odd-dimensional closed smooth G-manifold. If the fixed point set $M^G\neq\emptyset$ and dim $M^G=0$, then G has a subgroup H with $G/H{\cong}\mathbb{Z}_2$, the cyclic group of order 2. The tangential representation $\tau_x$(M) of G at $x{\in}M^G$ is also regarded as a representation of H by restricted action. We show that the number of fixed points is even, and that the tangential representations at fixed points are pairwise isomorphic as representations of H.
This paper describes the formulation and application of a dynamic model for a conventional rail track subjected to arbitary loading functions that simulate wheel/rail impact forces. The rail track is idealized as a periodic elastically coupled beam system resting on a Winkler foundation. Modal parameters of the track structure are first obtained from the natural vibration characteristics of the beam system, which is discretized into a periodic assembly of a specially-constructed track element and a single beam element characterized by their exact dynamic stiffness matrices. An equivalent frequency-dependent spring coefficient representing the resilient, flexural and inertial characteristics of the rail support components is introduced to reduce the degrees of freedom of the track element. The forced vibration equations of motion of the track subjected to a series of loading functions are then formulated by using beam bending theories and are reduced to second order ordinary differential equations through the use of mode summation with non-proportional modal damping. Numerical examples for the dynamic responses of a typical track are presented, and the solutions resulting from different rail/tie beam theories are compared.
In this article a four unknown quasi-3D shear deformation theory for the bending analysis of functionally graded (FG) plates is developed. The advantage of this theory is that, in addition to introducing the thickness stretching impact (${\varepsilon}_z{\neq}0$), the displacement field is modeled with only four variables, which is even less than the first order shear deformation theory (FSDT). The principle of virtual work is utilized to determine the governing equations. The obtained numerical results from the proposed theory are compared with the CPT, FSDT, and other quasi-3D HSDTs.
