It is very important to measure circular motion accuracy of NC lathes it affects accuracy, performance, interchange ability and quality of machine parts machined by the NC lathes in industries. So, in this study, measuring units system to measure circular motion accuracy two axes circular motion accuracy of NC lathes was composed of two optical linear scales installed on the z and x-axes of work coordinate system on NC lathe and a computer inserted with PC counter card enables to obtain measuring data. Here, ATC(Automatic Tool Changer) and moving part of linear scales are fixed with magnet bases in order to measure circular motion accuracy of the ATC of NC lathe. And next, computer software was developed in order to measure the circular motion accuracy of NC lathe under resolution of 0.1 $\mu\textrm{m}$ using two linear scales, and also computer softwares were developed so that measuring data could be modeled on plots and be analyzed numerically,
The present study addresses the problem of quantitative prediction of effective complex relative permittivity of Barium Titanate/Polyvenylidene Fluoride (PVDF) and $(Bi_{0.5}Na_{0.5})_{0.94}Ba_{0.06}TiO_3$/Poly(VDF-TrFE) biphasic ceramic-polymer composites. Theoretical results for effective relative permittivity derived from several dielectric mixture equations were fitted to the experimental data taken from the works of Prasad et al. (2010), Wang et al. (2004), Takenaka et al. (1991) and Yamada et al. (1982). The study revealed that out of the different test equations, only a few equations like modified Rother-Lichtenecker equation, Dias-Dasgupta equation or Rao equation for the real part and Bruggeman equation for the imaginary part of complex permittivity well fitted the corresponding experimental results. In the present study, some of the equations were used in their original forms, while some others were modified by choosing suitable shape-dependent parameters in order to get reasonably good agreement with experimental results. Besides, the experimental results have been proposed in the form of a mathematical model using first order exponential growth, which provided excellent fits.
When manufacturing die casting mold, generally, the casting layout design should be considered based on the relation among injection system, casting condition, gate system, and cooling system. Also, the extent or the location of product defects was differentiated according to the various relations of the above conditions. In this research, in order to optimize casting design of an automobile part (Gear Box) Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) was performed by using the simulation software (Z Cast). The simulation results were analyzed and compared with experimental results. During the mold filling, internal porosities caused by air entrap were predicted and reduced remarkably by the modification of the gate system and the configuration of overflow. With the solidification analysis, internal porosities caused by the solidification shrinkage were predicted and reduced by the modification of the gate system. For making a better production die casting tool, cooling systems on several thick areas are proposed in order to reduce internal porosities caused by the solidification shrinkage.
The physicochemical properties of aloesin, which has been recently found to reduce renal toxicity induced by cis-platin, were studied including solubility, partition coefficient ( $P_{c}$ ), osmolality, and stability. The solubility of aloesin was about 500 mg/mι, and the $P_{c}$ value for n-octanol/water was 1.01 $\pm$ 0.03. The degradation of aloesin followed the pseudo-first-order kinetics and was dependent on temperature, pH and ionic strength. From the pH-rate profile, the optimal pH was found to be 2.0~3.0. Some metal ions increased the degradation rate in the rank order of M $n^{2+}$ > F $e^{3+}$ > C $u^{2+}$ > F $e^{2+}$. On the other hand, other metal ions such as B $i^{3+}$, $Ba^{2+}$, Z $n^{2+}$, N $i^{2+}$, $Co^{2+}$ and $Mg^{2+}$ did not show the unfavorable effects. After autoclaving, aloesin contents remaining were 81.8~98.8% of initial concentrations depending on pH. The most stable pH was 3.98 in the autoclaving. Osmolality increased linearly as concentration increased.sed.creased.sed.
Combinatorial testing has been an active research area in recent years. One challenge in this area is dealing with the combinatorial explosion problem, which typically requires a very expensive computational process to find a good test set that covers all the combinations for a given interaction strength (t). Parallelization can be an effective approach to manage this computational cost, that is, by taking advantage of the recent advancement of multicore architectures. In line with such alluring prospects, this paper presents a new deterministic strategy, called multicore modified input parameter order (MC-MIPOG) based on an earlier strategy, input parameter order generalized (IPOG). Unlike its predecessor strategy, MC-MIPOG adopts a novel approach by removing control and data dependency to permit the harnessing of multicore systems. Experiments are undertaken to demonstrate speedup gain and to compare the proposed strategy with other strategies, including IPOG. The overall results demonstrate that MC-MIPOG outperforms most existing strategies (IPOG, IPOF, IPOF2, IPOG-D, ITCH, TConfig, Jenny, and TVG) in terms of test size within acceptable execution time. Unlike most strategies, MC-MIPOG is also capable of supporting high interaction strengths of t > 6.
In this paper, a simple and refined nonlocal hyperbolic higher-order beam theory is proposed for bending and vibration response of nanoscale beams. The present formulation incorporates the nonlocal scale parameter which can capture the small scale effect, and it considers both shear deformation and thickness stretching effects by a hyperbolic variation of all displacements across the thickness without employing shear correction factor. The highlight of this formulation is that, in addition to modeling the displacement field with only two unknowns, the thickness stretching effect (${\varepsilon}_z{\neq}0$) is also included in the present model. By utilizing the Hamilton's principle and the nonlocal differential constitutive relations of Eringen, the equations of motion of the nanoscale beam are reformulated. Verification studies demonstrate that the developed theory is not only more accurate than the refined nonlocal beam theory, but also comparable with the higher-order shear deformation theories which contain more number of unknowns. The theoretical formulation proposed herein may serve as a reference for nonlocal theories as applied to the static and dynamic responses of complex-nanobeam-system such as complex carbon nanotube system.
Black hole masses of Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN) are one of the most important parameters in AGN physics. Based on the virial assumption, black hole masses can be determined from the product of the width of the broad emission lines and the continuum/line luminosities. Using the Low Resolution Imaging Spectrometer(LRIS) at the Keck telescope, we obtained high quality spectra (S/N~100), covering 2300-5500A in the rest-frame, for a sample of 37 intermediate-luminosity AGN at z~0.4, in order to calibrate various black hole mass estimators based on the Mg II (2798A) and the Hbeta (4861A) emission lines. After subtracting continuum and complex FeII emission under Mg II and Hbeta, we fit the broad emission lines using high order Guass-Hermite models to best constrain the profile and the width of the emission lines. Combining the SDSS spectra covering Halpha emission line with the Keck spectra, we determine a set of 6 black hole masses for each object, based on the line width (MgII, Hbeta, and Halpha) and the luminosity (LMgII, LHbeta, LHalpha, L3000, L5100), and calibrate each black hole mass estimator. We will present uncertainties and limitations of each mass estimator.

In this paper, a new first shear deformation plate theory based on neutral surface position is developed for the static and the free vibration analysis of functionally graded plates (FGPs). Moreover, the number of unknowns of this theory is the least one comparing with the traditional first-order and the other higher order shear deformation theories. The neutral surface position for a functionally graded plate which its material properties vary in the thickness direction is determined. The mechanical properties of the plate are assumed to vary continuously in the thickness direction by a simple power-law distribution in terms of the volume fractions of the constituents. Based on the present shear deformation plate theory and the neutral surface concept, the governing equations are derived from the principle of Hamilton. There is no stretching-bending coupling effect in the neutral surface based formulation. Numerical illustrations concern flexural and dynamic behavior of FG plates with Metal-Ceramic composition. Parametric studies are performed for varying ceramic volume fraction, length to thickness ratios. The accuracy of the present solutions is verified by comparing the obtained results with the existing solutions.

In this work, a nonlocal quasi-3D trigonometric plate theory for micro/nanoscale plates is proposed. In order to introduce the size influences, the Eringen's nonlocal elasticity theory is utilized. In addition, the theory considers both shear deformation and thickness stretching effects by a trigonometric variation of all displacements within the thickness, and respects the stress-free boundary conditions on the top and bottom surfaces of the plate without considering the shear correction factor. The advantage of this theory is that, in addition to considering the small scale and thickness stretching effects (${\varepsilon}_z{\neq}0$), the displacement field is modelled with only 5 unknowns as the first order shear deformation theory (FSDT). Analytical solutions for vibration of simply supported micro/nanoscale plates are illustrated, and the computed results are compared with the available solutions in the literature and finite element model using ABAQUS software package. The influences of the nonlocal parameter, shear deformation and thickness stretching on the vibration behaviors of the micro/nanoscale plates are examined.

In the present work, a simple and refined trigonometric higher-order beam theory is developed for bending and vibration of functionally graded beams. The beauty of this theory is that, in addition to modeling the displacement field with only 3 unknowns as in Timoshenko beam theory, the thickness stretching effect (${\varepsilon}_Z{\neq}0$) is also included in the present theory. Thus, the present refined beam theory has fewer number of unknowns and equations of motion than the other shear and normal deformations theories, and it considers also the transverse shear deformation effects without requiring shear correction factors. The neutral surface position for such beams in which the material properties vary in the thickness direction is determined. Based on the present refined trigonometric higher-order beam theory and the neutral surface concept, the equations of motion are derived from Hamilton's principle. Numerical results of the present theory are compared with other theories to show the effect of the inclusion of transverse normal strain on the deflections and stresses.
