Purpose: Three tesla high field MR has been important to those disciplines that are SNR limited, such as MR spectroscopy. Additionally, increased spectral dispersion is critical for minimizing spectral overlap and simplifying resonance structures. The purpose of this study was to assess clinical proton MR spectroscopy (MRS) as a noninvasive method for evaluating brain tumor malignancy at 3T high field system Materials and Methods: Using 3T MRI/MRS system, localized water-suppressed single-voxel technique in patients with brain tumors was employed to evaluate spectra with peaks of N-acetyl aspartate (NAA), choline-containing compounds (Cho), creatine/phosphocreatine (Cr) and lactate. On the basis of Cr, these peak areas were quantificated as a relative ratio.

In the present study we investigated the relationship between the morphology and mechanical properties of electrospun polysulfone (PSF)/polyurethane (PU) blend nonwovens, by using the electrospinning process to prepare three types of electrospun nonwovens: PSF, PU and PSF/PU blends. The viscosity, conductivity and surface tension of the polymer solutions, were measured by rheometer, electrical conductivity meter and tensiometer, respectively. The electrospun PSF/PU blend nonwovens were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and with a universal testing machine. The SEM results revealed that the electrospun PSF nonwoven had a structure consisting of cross-bonding between fibers, whereas the electrospun PU nonwoven showed a typical, point-bonding structure. In the electrospun PSF/PU blend nonwovens, the exact nature of the point-bonding structure depended on the PU contents. The mechanical properties of the electrospun PSF/PU blend nonwoven were affected by the structure or the morphology. With increasing PU content, the mechanical behaviors, such as Young's modulus, yield stress, tensile strength and strain, of the electrospun PSF/PU blend nonwovens were by up to 80%.

Effects of Lycii Fructus on primary cultured chicken embryonic brain cells were studied by microscopic observation, determination of the activity of pyruvate dehydrogenase complex (PDHC), and syntheses of protein, RNA and DNA. The brain cells were prepared from the brains or 10-day-old chicken embryos and cultured with a deficient medium. The activity of PDHC in the brain cells cultured with a deficient medium was increased to 1.8 times by the addition of $30\;{\mu}g/ml$ of the total methanol extract of Lycii Fructus. To seek the active fraction, total methanol extract was further fractionated by the polarity. The survival rate of neuronal cells was significantly increased by the addition of $100\;{\mu}g/ml$ of the buthanol or aqueous fraction. At this concentration, the significant increase of the syntheses of protein and RNA, but not of DNA, indicates that the fractions may act on the neuronal cells which are known to be non-dividing cells.
This study was performed to evaluate enhanced effect of fermented Galgeun tang (GGT) and Ssanghwa tang (SHT) on the anti-platelet aggregation. Platelet aggregation assay was performed In vitro using human platelet rich plasma(PRP) and In vivo using SD-rat plasma by platelet aggregometer. Pharmacodynamic parameters, $E_{max}$ and $EC_{50}$, were calculated using Winnolin. SD-rats administered 1 g/kg of oriental medicine every 12 hr for 8 days. Platelet aggregation was measured by optical method with collagen inducer (4 ${\mu}g$/ml). In In vitro anti-platelet study, $EC_{50}$ of GGT-A was lower than that of GGT-con about 79.13 ${\mu}g$/ml. And $EC_{50}$ of SHT-A and SHT-B was lower than that of SHT-con about 122.73 and 110.15 ${\mu}g$/ml, respectively. It is assumed that fermented GGT and SHT were more effective than original medicine. In multiple administration study, anti-platelet effect was significantly increased both GGT and SHT. Fermented GGT and SHT were more effective than original herbal medicine on anti-platelet aggregation.
In this study we demonstrated whether the extract of Polygonum aviculare L. (PAE) can be applied to the immune-stimulating responses in macrophages (Raw 264.7 cells). Cell viability was determined by WST-8 assay, and all four doses of PAE (5, 10, 20, and 40 ${\mu}g/ml$) had no significant cytotoxicity during the entire experimental period. PAE increased the production of inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) and nitric oxide (NO), and mRNA expressions and protein levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines(tumor necrotic factor (TNF)-${\alpha}$, interleukin (IL)-$1{\beta}$ and IL-6) in the same cells. These immune-stimulating activities of PAE were found to be caused by the stimulation of $NF{\kappa}B$ signal and phosphorylation of MAP kinases (p38, ERK and JNK).

Purpose: This study examined the effect of perceived health status, depression and job stress on job satisfaction among child care providers. Methods: Data were from a convenient sample of 154 child care providers with a self-administered questionnaires from July 6th to September 26th, 2013. Collected data were analysed on SPSS WIN 18.0. Results: Child care providers had above medium degree of perceived health status, low degree of depression, low degree of job stress and above medium degree of job satisfaction. Predictive factors of job satisfaction among child care providers included job stress(Adj.$R^2$=.216, ${\beta}$=-.425, p<.001). Conclusion: These results suggest that educational program development needs to increase the job satisfaction among child care providers. Exploration of strategies to reduce the job stress will be necessary in order to increase of the job satisfaction.
Purpose: The aim of this study is to examine a path model on the relationship among social capital, physical activity and subjective health status in the community indwelling elderly. Methods: The study was conducted utilizing the 2014 Seoul Survey, in the method of analyzing cross-sectional design and secondary data. Among 45,497 participants in total, the data of 4578 adults aged 65 or above was analyzed. Social capital was measured by social trust and social participation. Physical activity was measured by regular exercise. Additionally, a numerical rating scale was used to assess subjective health status. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation coefficients and path analysis. Results: Social participation and physical activity showed a direct effect on subjective health status in community indwelling elderly while social trust and physical activity showed an indirect effect on their subjective health status. The hypothetical path model of community indwelling elderly's subjective health status was proved correct. Conclusion: Findings from this study indicate that health-promoting intervention for community indwelling elderly should consider social trust and participation.

A light-weight aggregate with a surface layer was fabricated using glass abrasive sludge and expanding agents. The glass abrasive sludges were mixed with expanding agents ($Fe_2O_3,\;graphite,\;CaCO_3$) and formed into precursors. These precursors were sintered in the range of $700-900^{\circ}C$ for 20min. The sintered light-weight aggregate had a surface layer with smaller pores and an inner region with larger pores. The surface layer and pores controlled the water absorption ratio and physical properties. As the expanding agent fraction and the sintering temperature increased, the porosity and pore size increased. The light-weight aggregate with $Fe_2O_3$ and graphite as the expanding agents had a low water absorption ratio while the porous material with $CaCO_3$ as the expanding agent had a higher water absorption ratio and more open pores.
Authors report one patient of concurrent fracture of medial malleolus and rupture of deltoid ligament. To the author's knowledge, combined failure of both structures has not been previously reported in Korea. Injury mechanism was classified into pronation -abduction type according to Lauge-Hansen classification. Plain radiograph revealed trimalleolar fracture and posterior ankle dislocation. MRI showed complete rupture of both deep and superficial layer of the deltoid ligament. In conclusion, therefore, concurrent rupture of deltoid ligament should be considered for the surgical treatment in trimalleolar ankle fracture with posterior ankle dislocation resulted from pronation-adduction injury.
Enzyme fuel cells were composed of enzyme cathode and PEMFC anode. Enzyme cathode was fabricated by compression of a mixture of graphite particle, laccase as a enzyme and ABTS as a redox mediator, and then coated with Nafion ionomer. Open circuit voltage (OCV) were measured with variation of cathode manufacture factors, to find optimum condition of enzyme cathode. Optimum pressure was 4.0 bar for enzyme cathode pressing process. Highest OCV was obtained at 95% graphite composition in enzyme cathodee. Optimum glucose concentration was 0.4 mol/l in cathode substrate solution.
