In the recycle process of organic solvent, the atmospheric oxygen can cause autoxidation and product peroxide. The time-saving method to evaluate the hazards has been required. In this study, oxygen pressure monitoring experiment was proposed as a new method to evaluate autoxidative resistances of solvents. Some of organic solvents were pressurized by oxygen and kept under isothermal condition. At the same time, the pressure in the vessel tracked. Iodometrical titration, thermal analysis and spectroscopic analysis were performed to measure peroxide concentration, the heat of reaction and chemical bonding change. From the results that THF has larger oxygen consumption rate than CPME, it is considered that autoxidative resistance of THF is lower than that of CPME. This method enables to obtain results in shorter time than other methods. These experimental results were consistent with the previous research with longer test durations [1-2].

In this paper, the series chopper based power train for electric vehicle is proposed for aiming the increase of one battery charge driving distance. Both the motor test bench based experiments and the chassis dynamo based experiments are tested and then analyzed for EV driving performance that the proposed power train with SAZZ chopper and Quasi-PAM control scheme is compared with or without the series chopper. It is confirmed through two kinds of experimental analyses that the series chopper power train for EV can be useful to extend the driving distance if the high efficiency and the low weight of chopper are satisfied.

The study to give electrical conductivity by dispersing carbon nanotubes (CNT) into silicon nitride ($Si_3N_4$) ceramics has been carried out in recent years. However, the density and the strength of $Si_3N_4$ ceramics were degraded and CNTs disappeared after firing at high temperatures because CNTs prevent $Si_3N_4$ from densification and there is a possibility that CNTs react with $Si_3N_4$ or $SiO_2$. In order to suppress the reaction and the disappearance of CNTs, lower temperature densification is needed. In this study, $HfO_2$ and $TiO_2$ was added to $Si_3N_4-Y_2O_3-Al_2O_3$-AlN system to fabricate CNT-dispersed $Si_3N_4$ ceramics at lower temperatures. $HfO_2$ promotes the densification of $Si_3N_4$ and prevents CNT from disappearance. As a result, the sample by adding $HfO_2$ and $TiO_2$ fired at lower temperatures showed higher electrical conductivity and higher bending strength. It was also shown that the mechanical and electrical properties depended on the quantity of the added CNTs.

It is required impressive expression of urban night environment that makes city as the safe pleasant, convenient place for the economic activity, cultural pleasure and landmarks. This study aims to establish the proper direction to the outdoor lighting in Seoul by analyzing and comparing the lighting situation and policies among Seoul, Shanghai and Yokohama. 1986 Asian Game and 1988 Olympic Game became very important role of activation of outdoor lighting in Korea. Then, outdoor lighting were facilitated in the cultural heritages and bridges along Han river. Millenium Light Plan, Outdoor Lighting Field of Seoul Architectural Award, 2002 Lightscape Local Plan, hosting 2002 World Cup have been good opportunities for the improvement of outdoor lighting in Seoul. In China, outdoor lighting was introduced to the city of Shanghai according to the orders of the president in 1988. Outdoor lighting of Shanghai have created unique lighting with beautiful color and intensive brightness under the direction of city government. Outdoor lighting of Shanghai needs the standard of lighting design and improvement of lighting facilities. Outdoor lighting was introduced to Japan with 1964 Tokyo Olympic games. Urban outdoor lighting plan was carried out in Yokohama in 1986. In Yokohama, outdoor lighting of civilian and public facilities have been harmonized. And the city government of Yokohama established the committee of promotion of outdoor lighting in its government to support and manage the outdoor lighting with corporation of civilian organization. As the result of comparative analysis on Seoul, Shanghai, Yokohama, Seoul Metropolitan Government needs the criteria and incentive system of outdoor lighting.
