영구 연화 거동을 고려한 마찰교반용접(FSW) 된 DP강 판재의 탄성 복원 예측 (Springback prediction of friction stir welded DP590 steel sheets considering permanent softening behavior)

  • In order to evaluate the effect of permanent softening behavior on springback prediction, 2D-draw bending simulations were compared with experiments for friction stir welded DP590 steel sheets. To account fur the nonlinear hardening behavior, the combined isotropic-kinematic hardening law was utilized with and without considering the permanent softening behavior during reverse loading. Also, the non-quadratic orthotropic yield function, Yld2000-2d, was used to describe the anisotropic initial-yielding behavior of the base sheet while anisotropic properties of the weld zone were ignored for simplicity.

  • In order to evaluate spring-back behavior in automotive sheet forming processes, a panel shape idealized as a SS-rail has been investigated. After spring-back kas been predicted fer SS-rails using the finite element analysis, results has been compared with experimental measurements for three automotive sheets. To account for hardening behavior such as the Bauschinger and transient effects in addition to anisotropic behavior, the combined isotropic-kinematic hardening law based on the Chaboche type single-surface model and a recently developed non-quadratic anisotropic yield function have been utilized, respectively.

냉간압축 하에서 세락믹 분말의 치밀화 거동 (Densification behavior of ceramic powder under cold compaction)

  • Densification behavior of ceramic powder under cold compaction was investigated. Experimental data were obtained for zirconia powder and alumina powder under triaxial compression with various loading conditions. A special form of the Cap model was proposed from experimental data under triaxial compression for a yield function of ceramic powder. The proposed yield function was inplemented into a finite element program (ABAQUS) to study densification behaviors of zirconia and alumina powders under die compaction. The effect of friction between the powder and die wall was also investigated. Density distributions of powder compacts were measured and compared with finite element results.

  • The electro-rheological(ER) fluids for smart hydraulic system are a class of colloidal dispersion which exhibit large reversible Changes in their rheological behavior when they are subjected to external electrical fields. This paper presents experimental results on material properties of an ER fluids subjected to electrical fatigues. As a first step, ER fluid is made of methyl cellulose(MC) choosing 25% of particle weight-concentration. Following the construction of test mechanism for durability estimation, the dynamic yield shear stress and the current density for the ER fluids of MC component are experimentally distilled as a function of electric field. In addition, the surface roughness of the employed electrode are evaluated as a function of the number of the electric-field cycles.

  • Anisotropic work hardening of cold rolled low carbon steel sheets is studied. The experiments consist of two stage tensile prestraining and tensile tests. At the first prestraining, steel sheets are streteched along the rolling direction by 3% and 6% tensile strains. The second prestrains are at 0${\cric}$, 30${\cric}$, 60${\cric}$to the rolling directions by varying degrees. Tensile tests are performed on the specimens cut from the sheets after the two stage prestraining. A theoretical framework on anisotropic hardening is proposed which includes Hill's quadratic yield function, ziegler's kinematic hardening rule, and Kim and Yin's assumption on the rotation of orthotropy axes. The predicted variations of R-values with second stage tensile strain are compared with the experimental data.

  • In this study, anisotopic yield function is proposed for the numerical analysis of reinforced tunnel ground with grouting. For this, material properties of the reinforced ground both by equilibrium as well as kinematic condition along the interface and by the mean field theory of Eshelby (1957) and Zhao (1990) are compared with each other and, as a result, the advantage/disadvantage of the proposed models are summarized. Finally, reinforced ground around tunnel with grouting is analyzed numerically. A new anisotropic yield function model is shown to be more reliable than the previous one and the predicted result is agreeable with the experimental data available.

Kinematics of the Nonsteady Axi-symmetric Ideal Plastic Flow Process

  • A nonsteady axi-symmetric ideal flow solution is obtained here. It is based on the rigid perfect-plastic constitutive law with the Tresca yield condition and its associated flow rule. The process is to deform a circular solid disk into a spherical shell of prescribed geometry. It is assumed that there are no rigid zones and friction stresses. The solution obtained provides the distribution of kinematic variables and involves one undetermined function of the time. This function can be in general found by superimposing an optimality criterion.

아라빅 검 성분의 ER유체에 대한 내구성 평가 (Durability Estimation for ER(Electro-Rheological) Fluids of Arabic Gum Components)

  • Electro-Rheological(ER) fluids undergo a phase-change when subjected to an external electric field, and this phase-change typically manifests itself as a many-order-of magnitude change in the rheological behavior. This paper presents experimental results on material properties for an ER fluids of arabic gum components subjected to electrical fatigues. As a first step, ER fluids are made of arabic gum 25% of particle weight-concentration. Following the construction of test mechanism for estimated durability of ER fluid, the dynamic yield stress, shear stress and current density of the ER fluids are experimentally distilled as a function of DC electric field. The durability estimation of operated ER fluids are distilled and compared with those of unused ER fluids. In addition, the surface roughness of the employed electrode for copper and aluminum are evaluated as a function of the number of the electric-field cycles.

  • Recently, the usage of aluminum alloy is rapidly increasing in automobile industry to achieve weight reduction for fuel efficiency. However, design of forming process of aluminum is more difficult than steel because of poor formability and severe springback. Since applications of finite element analysis for the design of sheet metal forming process are actively performed, it is required to conduct proper consideration of aluminum material behavior. In this study, a plane stress yield function Yld2000(Yoon et al., 2000), proven to describe well the anisotropic behavior of aluminum alloy, is implemented for FE analysis. One element test is considered to verify the validity of implementation of Yld2000 model. In addition, cylindrical cup drawing test is performed to verify earing shape of a drawn cup.

  • Sintered P/M connecting rod is forged to increase density and to satisfy dimensional specifications. Flow of the materials is different form that of wrought materials due to pores in the preform. The Mises yield function was modified to. include the first invariant of stress tensor, and the associated flow rule was derived by applying the normality rule to the yield function. Axisymmetric and plane-strain finite element analyes were carried out for the ring and beam portions of the connecting rod, respectively. The flow of the preform and density change of the analysis are presented in this paper. A load-stroke curve was also presented by superimposing analysis results for the ring and beam portions.
