  • Interlace textured yarn was developed in order to increase weaving process efficiency. Today, interlace texturing is very useful method of manufacturing the high added value compound yarns for new synthetic fabrics. In this research, new silky type high added value compound yarns were. manufactured by interlace texturing technology and tested their properties. The object of this research is to investigate the relationship between interlace textured yarn properties and processing parameters that is air pressure, yarn tension and take-up speed. The original filament yarns used were TTD(Thick & Thin Semi-Dull) 110d/72f and SCD(Semi-Dull Cation Dyeable) 75d/36f. 27 specimens were manufactured and tested for their physical properties-nip density, tensile properties, multi-step shrinkage test and surface structure by SEM. The air pressure was main process condition to change properties of interlace textured yarns. And interlace textured process had influence on weaving preparation process, weaving, knitting and so on. It has some influence on shrinkage properties of dyeing and finishing processes.

Dyeing Properties of Sulfur Dye Using Nylon High Density Knitting Fabrics (황화염료를 이용한 고밀도 나일론 편성물의 염색성)

  • This paper examined dyeing using sulfur dye with nylon and the characteristics of high gauge knitting for generating high functionality including light weight, wind resistance and elasticity using fine nylon threads. Yarn tension, stitch field and knitting speed of high and fine gauge knitting were measured. The influence of reducing agents on sulfur dye, optimum dyeing conditions and fastness features in nylon dyeing were analyzed. The analysis results are presented below. When nylon (Hyoseong, 40d/34f) and spandex (Hyoseong, 20d) for use as hosiery yarn were used to knit high gauge and flat weave, 44 gauge, the effective knitting conditions were a stitch field over 8.2cm in 1 course length, yarn tension of less than 5g and knitting speed below 18rpm. Nylon dyeing using sulfur dye showed effective results when a rongalite reducing agent was used at more than 10% o.w.f. and dyeing was maintained at $98^{\circ}C$ for 30 minutes. For dyeing nylon and spandex composite using sulfur dye, color fastness in washing, water, daylight and friction were higher than Class 4 or 5, which indicated a superior property. The analysis results verified that the existing problems in nylon dyeing could be solved by using sulfur dyes that don't use heavy metals due to superior fastness and therefore quality, high gauge nylon knit products could be produced.

Therefore, Yarn Hairiness, which has effects on Touch, Handle, iud Dyeing, is one of important factor. In order to reduce Yarn Hairiness, various tests were made in Spinning process and the following Spinning conditions can be suggested. -. The Speed should be as lower as possible. -.   • Interlace texturing is very useful method to make compound yarns for new synthetic fabrics. In this study, we make the compound ems for peach skin fabric by interlace texturing method. This study surveys relationship between physical properties of interlace textured yarns and process conditions such as air pressure, yarn tension and take-up speed. Nip density, tensile properties and multi-step shrinkage of the various specimens were discussed with process conditions.

  • Silk fabrics are very popular and widely used because of their elegant appearance. However, silk fabrics generally have easy wrinkle, and do not stretch and deform permanently after machine washing. Then the stretched properties of silk fabrics are important for the application of industrial textile materials such as formal and sports wear. Thus, this research surveys the covering, weaving and degumming conditions for stretched silk fabrics. As a result, yarn breaking stress was reduced with increasing spindle speed, and the yarn twists were optimized under the covering condition of polyurethane/silk with PVA pretreatment. In addition, the shrinkage of the silk fabrics treated with star degumming process was reduced by continuous NaOH degumming process. The fabrics showed the fabric physical properties with optimum stretched properties and evenness surfaces.

  • Tension control is an important factor in producing high quality knitted products and in maintaining good processing condition. Yarn tension during knitting is subject to be affected from many elements of the machine and process parameters. Several factors including yam feeding speed, feeding angle, and needle gauge that are considered to influence on the tension variation were investigated. Yam feeding speed did not show high contribution to the tension variation but feeding angle of yam did show high correlation with the tension. No or negative correlation of the tension with needle gauge was found from the results. In order to keep well-determined process condition in the knitting manufacturing, it is strongly suggested that all knitting elements and parameters should be in the integrated control circumstance.

  • Weft insertion mechanism is for completing the structure of yarn and weft yarn and its driving method is screw type. In the high speed rapier loom, weft yarn is thrown by insert rapier and carrier rapier into the shed which make divide two parts of upper part ant lower part for warp yarn. It is possible for this mechannism to reduce the size of rapier and wheel, and directly connected to the main shaft without gear belt. Therefore, exact rapier motion through realization of arbitrary acceleration diagram requested rapier and optimal design for high speedization and operating rate increasing are necessary. In this study, with a view to exact system analysis for understanding of overall trace and high speedization of rapier loom through computer simulation. we report not only deduction of displacement, velocity, and acceleration components of rapier for analysis theory establishment, of weft insertion mechanism and exact motion induction according to screw rotation, but also development of simulation program for realization these on the monitor.

  • In this study, TPU resin for coating was prepared by varying the mixing ratio of antistatic TPU and recycled TPU to manufacture permanent antistatic materials. The coated yarn was prepared by coating on the nylon yarn, and then the thermal, rheological, mechanical properties and antistatic properties were analyzed. In addition, antistatic properties and durability were confirmed after manufacturing UD fabrics using coated yarns. The mixing ratio of antistatic TPU and recycled TPU was most appropriate at 4:6, and the antistatic property had a surface resistance of 2.20 × 109 Ω and a static charge of 398 V. In the coating process, the coating speed was most appropriate at 0.21 m/s, and the surface resistance of the UD fabric manufactured with the coated yarn manufactured under this condition was 6.80 × 109 Ω and the static charge was 484 V. The UD fabric had a surface resistance of 7.21 × 109 Ω and a static charge of 517 V after washing 10 times, and it was confirmed that the permanent antistatic property was excellent.

A Study on Dynamic Characteristics Analysis of Spindle Unit for Two-for-One Twister (투포원 연사기용 스핀들 유니트의 동특성 해석에 관한 연구)

  • Two-for-one twister is a kind of textile machine and makes special fancy yarn which is twisted two times per one revolution in order to increase tensile strength and wear resis-tance of yarn. Spindle mechanism has to be stable and continuous motion in high speed revolution, and then optimal design is necessary to analyze dynamic characteristics of spindle unit. Spindle unit is consist of blade and rotary disc that are cylindrical body of revolution. For analysis of the dynamic characteristics of spindle unit, transfer matrix method is used and a numerical code SPINDLE also. Torsion and natural bending frequency of the spindle unit are examined. Its displacement mode is studied in function of variable revolutions.

Dyeability of Low-melting Hybrid Polyester at Low Temperature (저융점 폴리에스테르 복합사의 저온 염색성)

  • Jacquard floor covering could be prepared from low-melting/regular sheath-core hybrid polyester, where the fiber is dyed in yarn state. With regard that the expected high shrinkage of the hybrid polyester in water makes problems in yarn dyeing, low-temperature dyeing properties of the hybrid polyester were studied. The rate of shrinkage of low-melting hybrid polyester exceeds 9% in hot water above $90^{\circ}C$, at such condition, cheese yarn dyeing is very difficult. Although disperse dyes exhaust in a relatively high speed on low-melting hybrid polyester, diffusion of these dyes to the core regular polyester was extremely slow under $90^{\circ}C$. Foron Blue E-BL 150, an anthraquinone E-type disperse dye, showed appreciable diffusion after 48hrs dyeing at $90^{\circ}C$. The fastness to rubbing and drycleaning were improved by one grade after reduction cleaning.
