$La_2O_3$$MnO_2$$0.02Pb(Y_{2/3}W_{1/3}O_3-0.98Pb(Zr_{0.52}Ti_{0.48})O_3$의 유전 및 압전 특성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of $La_2O_3$, $MnO_2$ on the Dielectric and Piezoelectric Properties of $0.02Pb(Y_{2/3}W_{1/3}O_3-0.98Pb(Zr_{0.52}Ti_{0.48})O_3$)

  • Effects of $La_2O_3$, $MnO_2$ on the dielectric and piezoelectric properties of $0.02Pb(Y_{2/3}W_{1/3}O_3-0.98Pb(Zr_{0.52}Ti_{0.48})O_3$ system were investigated. The addition of La2O3 to the system enhanced electromechanical coupling factor (kp), piezoelectric constant (d33), but hardly changed mechanical quality factor (Qm). On the other hand, the addition of $MnO_2$ increased Qm significantly, but did not degrade kp and d33 so much. The piezoelectric properties of $0.02Pb(Y_{2/3}W_{1/3}O_3-0.98Pb(Zr_{0.52}Ti_{0.48})O_3$ containing 0.1wt% $La_2O_3$, 0.4wt% $MnO_2$ were very good and kp, d33, Qm were 55%, 350$\times$10-12C/N, 780, respectively. The size of the grains was proportional to the change of c/a (tetragonality) ratio caused by the addition of $La_2O_3$ and $MnO_2$, and dielectric, piezoelectric properties were sensitive to the amountof pyrochrole phase.

  • Several $Al_2O_3$-based polycrystalline which had different dopant ratio in the range of 0.5mol% were prepared by doping pure $Cr_2O_3$ $HfO_2$. Single crystalline which had same composition with above polycrystalline were made by means of floating zone method. This study examined the role of each dopant for enhancing the mechanical properties of $Al_2O_3$-based Ceramics. Optical micrographs $({ imes}200)$ of $Al_2O_3-Cr_2O_3$ single crystal showing not only radial crack (rc) on the specimen surface but median crack(mc) and lateral crack(lc) under surface at the edge of indentation mark. Fracture toughness of Al2O3-based Ceramics was increased with $ZrO_2$ content. Alloying effect of $Cr_2O_3$ contributed to the hardness of $Al_2O_3$ based ceramics.

  • Mechanical properties of the system PbO-B2O3-V2O5 low melting glass during crystallization by heat-treatment were investigated. Wettability of the system PbO-B2O3-V2O5 was excellent and appropriate for commercial sealing as a low melting solder glass. Crystals, during heat-treated at 30$0^{\circ}C$ of the system PbO-B2O3-V2O5 were $\beta$-4PbO.B2O3, 5PbO.4B2O3, and Pb2V2O7 mainly. The percent of crystallinity was 82$\pm$5%. Mechanical properties of the system PbO-B2O3-V2O5 were influenced not only by the differences of density and coefficient of thermal expansion and the stress induced from the difference in the density and coefficient of thermal expansion between glass phase and crystals but also crystallization conditions.

반응소결로 얻어진 $Al_2O_3$-$ZrO_2$-Nb 복합체의 미세구조와 기계적 성질 (Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of $Al_2O_3$-$ZrO_2$-Nb Composites Prepared by Reaction Sintering)

  • The reaction sintering of Al2O3-ZrO2-Nb composite has been investigated using Al2O3, and ZrAl2 powders. Two kinds of specimens, 78.3Al2O3-14.0Nb2O5-7.7ZrAl2 in wt.% (AZN-5) and 72.3Al2O3-13.8Nb2O5-7.5ZrAl2-6.4ZrO2(AZN-10), were prepared. Powder compacts were sintered at various temperatures between 1$600^{\circ}C$ and 1$700^{\circ}C$ for 30 min in Ar. DTA and X-ray analysis have showen that a reaction between Nb2O5 and ZrAl2 started at 149$0^{\circ}C$ to form Al2O3, ZrO2, and Nb. The sintered density increased with the sintering temperature. AZN-10 specimen showed higher density than AZN-5 specimen for almost all the experimental conditions. Al2O3-ZrO2-Nb composite hot pressed after reaction sintering showed higher toughness and lower hardness than hot pressed Al2O3-ZrO2. The crack propagated through many metallic Nb particles which showed plastic deformation, and this is the cause of the increase in toughness of Al2O3-ZrO2-Nb composite over Al2O3-ZrO2.

  • 5.31 mol% ${Y_2}{O_3}$-4.45 mo1% ${Nb_2}{O_5}$-90.31 mo1% $ZrO_2$${Al_2}{O_3}$를 첨가한 복합체를 제조하여 알루미나 입도가 복합체의 균열 전파 저항성에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. $ZrO_2/{Al_2}{O_3}$ 복합체에서는 R-cuve 거동이 관찰되었으며 0.2, $2.8{\mu}m$ ${Al_2}{O_3}$가 20 vol%가 첨가된 복합체의 인성값은 각각 7.9, $8.8MPam^{1/2}$이었다. 파괴인성값의 차이는 ${Al_2}{O_3}$ 입도 크기에 의존하는 $ZrO_2/{Al_2}{O_3}$ 복합체 내의 정방정 $ZrO_2$의 결정립 크기 차이에 의한 것으로 추정된다.

  • 구조의 유기-무기 혼성화합물 Cu2(OH)3(CH3COO)·H2O를 선구물질로 사용하여 Cu2O를 합성하였다. 75oC의 수용액에서 Cu2(OH)3(CH3COO)·H2O를 글루코오스로 환원시켜서 정육면체 Cu2O를 합성하였다. 선구물질과 글루코오스의 효과를 조사하였다. Cu2(OH)3(CH3COO)·H2O의 구조는 균일한 크기의 Cu2O를 만드는데 중요한 역할을 한다.

  • We investigated the thermal and electrical properties of the $B_2O_3-ZnO-Bi_2O_3$ glass system as a sealing material in sheath heater modules. A composition with over 90 wt% $Bi_2O_3$ in the $B_2O_3-ZnO-Bi_2O_3$ system was glassified by controlling the cooling rate. The glass transition temperature and thermal expansion coefficient in bismate glass could be controlled by the minor ingredients of ZnO, $SiO_2$, $BaO_2$, and $K_2O$. The $B_2O_3-ZnO-Bi_2O_3$ glass system bonded well to metal, and bismate glass insulating properties were comparable to those of bismate glass $B_2O_3-ZnO-PbO$ glass system in a sheath heater module.

$Nd_2O_3$ 함유 유리의 X-선조사에 따른 변색에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Coloration of the $Nd_2O_3$ Containing Glass by X-ray Irradiation)

  • The coloration of the $Nd_2O_3$ contained $R_2O-BaO-SrO-ZrO_2-SiO_2$ glass added the various amount of $CeO_2$ $MnO_2$, $Fe_2O_3$ and $As_2O_3$ alone or together by the irradiation of X-ray irradiation,. The glasses added $CeO_2$ in proportion to amount were more effective on preventing coloration by X-ray irradiation but the addition of $MnO_2$ produced different color according to the amount of addition. The addition of the $Fe_2O_3$, $TiO_2$ and $As_2O_3$ did not give much effects to the transmission changes of $Nd_2O_3$ contained glass by X-ray irradiation but the glass added $CeO_2$ , $Fe_2O_3$, $TiO_2$ together was most effective to prevent coloration and transmisson changes.

다양한 산화반응을 조합한 고급산화공정의 아세트산 분해에 관한 연구 (Destruction of Acetic Acid Using Various Combinations of Oxidants by an Advanced Oxidation Processes)

  • UV, $O_3$, $H_2O_2$, $Fe^{2+}$ 등의 산화반응을 조합한 고급산화 공정(advanced oxidation process)을 이용하여 아세트산 분해실험을 수행하였다. 적용된 고급산화 공정은 $UV/H_2O_2$, $UV/H_2O_2/Fe^{2+}$, $O_3$, $O_3/H_2O_2$, $UV/O_3/H_2O_2$$UV/O_3/H_2O_2/Fe^{2+}$ 공정이었다. 낮은 pH (3.5)에서의 아세트산 분해율은 $UV/H_2O_2/Fe^{2+}$, $O_3/H_2O_2$, $UV/O_3/H_2O_2$$UV/O_3/H_2O_2/Fe^{2+}$ 공정은 비교적 높고, $UV/H_2O_2$$O_3$ 공정은 20% 이하로 낮게 나타났다. $O_3/H_2O_2$, $UV/O_3/H_2O_2$ 공정의 아세트산 분해율은 반응시간 180 min까지 반응시간에 따라 지속적으로 증가하였으나 $UV/H_2O_2/Fe^{2+}$, $UV/O_3/H_2O_2/Fe^{2+}$ 공정에서는 반응시간 90 min까지 아세트산 분해율이 급격히 증가한 후 그 이후에는 분해율의 증가가 미미하였다. 고급산화 공정별 아세트산 분해율은$UV/H_2O_2/Fe^{2+}$ 공정은 55%, $O_3/H_2O_2$ 공정 및 $UV/O_3/H_2O_2$ 공정은 66%, $UV/O_3/H_2O_2/Fe^{2+}$ 공정은 64%이었다.

비오옴 ZnO 세라믹스의 형성과정에서 스피넬의 영향 (Effects of Spinel on the Formation Process of Nonohmic ZnO Ceramics)

  • Sintering behavior, distribution of dopant oxides and electrical properties in the ZnO-Bi2O3-CoO-Sb2O3 and ZnO-Bi2O3-CoO-Sb2O3-Cr2O3 systems were studied. The linear shrinkage of ZnO varistors from 850 to 950$^{\circ}C$ was related to the decomposition reaction (py\longrightarrowsp+Bi2O3) of the pyrochlore phase. In the distribution of the dopant oxides (CoO, Sb2O3, Cr2O3), Co distribute uniformly throughout the sample, the distribution of Sb coincided with small particles (spinel phase, Zn7Sb2O12), and Cr distributed very consistently with Sb. The increase in breakdown voltage, due to the addition of Cr2O3, was not only attributed to the decrease in the ZnO grain size but also to the solution of Cr2O3 in the spinel phase. The leakage current (80% V60 ${\mu}\textrm{A}$) was increased by the addition of Cr2O3.
