Characteristics of Pentacene Organic Thin-Film Transistors with Different Polymer Gate Insulators (Polymer Gate Insulators에 따른 Pentacene Organic Thin-Film Transistors의 특성 분석)

  • 본 연구에서는 polymer gate insulators에 따른 pentacene 유기 박막 트랜지스터 (Organic Thin-Film Transistors)의 전기적 특성을 atom force microscope (AFM), x-ray diffraction (XRD) 그리고 I-V 측정을 이용하여 분석하였다. Pentacene 박막 트랜지스터의 전기적 특성은 pentacene의 증착 조건뿐만 아니라 polymer gate insulator에 따라 크게 영향을 받는다. 따라서 다양한 polymer 기판 위에 온도, 두께 그리고 증착 속도에 따라 pentacene을 증착 하였다. 그리고 증착된 pentacne을 AFM, XRD를 이용하여 pentacene의 구조, 결정화 그리고 grain 크기 등을 분석하였다. 또한 inverted stagger며 구조의 pentacene 박막 트랜지스터 소자를 제작하고 I-V 측정하여 그 결과를 분석하였다.

Fe-Cr-Mn계 스테인리스강의 기계적 특성 및 부식 저항성에 미치는 시효 열처리의 영향

  • Fe-Cr-Mn계 스테인리스강을 진공 용해하여 최적 소둔 조건인 1,20$0^{\circ}C$에서 30분동안 소둔 열처리한 후 미세 조직, 기계적 특성 및 부식 특성에 미치는 시효 열처리의 영향에 대하여 실험하였다. 미세 조직 분석은 광학 현미경 관찰, XRD분석, SEM분석, TEM분석 등으로 행하였고, 기계적 시험은 인장 시험, 충격 시험, 경도 시험을 행하였다. 부식 저항성을 평가하기 위해 황산, 염산분위기에서 양극 분극 시험을 행하였다. 시효 열처리에 따른 미세 조직간의 상분율 변화는 거의 없었지만 입계를 중심으로 제2상이 석출되었고, 그 양은 시효 시간이 증가함에 따라 증가하였다. 인장 강도 및 연신율은 낮은 시효 온도에서는 시효 온도와 시효 시간에 따라 큰 차이를 보이지 않았지만 고온으로 갈수록 시효 시간이 증가함에 따라 다소 감소하는 경향이 나타났다. 충격에너지는 1시간 시효시에는 시효 온도에 따라 큰 변화를 보이지 않았지만 10시간, 100시간 시효한 경우 시효 온도가 상승함에 따라 감소하였다. 이러한 경향은 고온에서 시효한 경우 입계성장이 가속화되어 나타난 것으로 판단된다. 시효 시간이 증가함에 따라 부식 환경에 관계없이 부식 저항성이 감소하였다. 85$0^{\circ}C$에서 시효한 경우 가장 우수한 내식성을 보였고, $650^{\circ}C$에서 낮은 내식성을 나타냈는데 이는 이 온도 구간에서 탄화물 등의 제2상의 석출에 의한 것으로 판단된다.

Physico-Chemical Properties and Methane Production Rates for Busan Harbor Sediments (부산항만 퇴적물의 성분분석 및 메탄발생량 산정 연구)

  • The main objective of this study was to evaluate the current condition of harbor sediments and to estimate biochemical methane potentials from the harbor sediments. Sediment samples were collected from 10 different sampling sites. Ignition loss, elemental analyses, X-ray diffraction(XRD), X-ray fluorescence(XRF) tests were conducted to determine characteristics of the sediment. All sediments had similar elemental compositions and ignition loss were 8~10%. From the conventional BMP tests for 5 samples, cumulative methane production ranged from 11.9~15.5mL methane/(g of volatile solids), which were significantly lower than that for foods and paper. However, methane production rates for sediments were 5 to 20 times faster than those for foods and paper.

  • The reduction of $SO_2$ to elemental sulfur by CO over a series of iron niobate with nominal Nb/Fe atomic ratios of 1/0, 10/1, 5/1, 1/1, 1/5, 1/10 and 0/1 was studied with a flow fixed-bed reactor. Strong synergistic phenomena in catalytic activity and selectivity were observed for the iron niobate catalysts, and the best catalytic performance was observed for the catalyst with Fe/Nb atomic ratio of 1/1. The active phase of the activated iron niobate catalysts was identified to be $FeS_2$ using XRD and XPS. Selective reduction of $SO_2$ by CO was followed by the COS intermediate mechanism.

  • K-SGICs(synthetic graphite intercalation compounds) were synthesized in a modified two-bulb pyrex tube. The pressure in the two-bulb tube was maintained at approximately $10^{-3}$ torr for the reaction of potassium and graphite. Deintercalation process of the K-SGlCs obtained by the modified method was heat-treated by keeping in liquid paraffin between $25^{\circ}C$ and $1400^{\circ}C$. The thermal stability and the temperature dependence of the K-SGICs were characterized using differential scanning calorimeter(DSC) analyzer. Enthalpy and entropy for K-SGIC formations were calculated by confirming the deintercalation and thermodynamic exothermic reactions depending on the various temperatures. The structure changes and thermal stability of K-SGICs during the deintercalation reaction of potassium ions and the interlayer spaces of the synthetic graphite were identified by X-ray diffraction(XRD).

  • Nanocrystalline NiAl alloy containing 36at.%Al was synthesized by mechanical alloying (MA). Synthesized powder was sintered by a pulse electric current sintering (PECS) facility. Effecting parameters on the phase transformation were discussed in terms of cooling rate and time spent on heat treatment. The behavior of phase transformation for sintered parts was examined by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) method. Microstructure was observed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Martensitic lattice parameter and volume fraction was calculated by direct comparison method in X-ray diffraction analysis.

  • Raw mix of molten clinker was fabricated using blast furnace slag as starting material. Raw mix was melted at 1620 for molten clinker fabrication. Color and mineral composition of molten clinker was investigated by XRD and colorimeter. It was found that the molten clinker contains alite and belite equivalent to OPC clinker mineral and shows higher whiteness value than that of OPC. Whiteness of the molten clinker decreased with LSF and SM. Also the whiteness value of the slag cement using molten clinker was higher than that of common slag cement.

TEM and Raman Spectrum Characterization of 3C-SiC/Si(001) Heterostructure Grown by Chemical Vapor Deposition (화학증착 방법으로 Si(001)기판 상에 성장된 3C-SiC 이종접합 박막의 투과전자현미경 및 라만 특성분석)

  • HMDS[Si$_{2}$(CH$_{3}$)$_{6}$]단일 선구체를 이용하여 화학증착 방법으로 성장된 3C-SiC/Si(001) 이종접합박막의 특성을 XRD, 라만 스펙트럼 및 투과전자현미경(TEM)등을 이용하여 조사하였으며 시판되고 있는 상용 3C-SiC/Si 시편을 같은 방법으로 분석하여 특성을 비교검토하였다. $C_{3}$H$_{8}$-SiH$_{4}$-H$_{2}$혼합가스를 선구체로 이용하여 5$\mu\textrm{m}$두께로 성장된 상용 3C-SiC/Si 이종접합박막 시료의 XRD스펙트럼에서는 강한 3C-SiC(002)피크 만이 관찰되었으며, 라만 스펙트럼의 LO피크는 970nm$^{-1}$ 정도에서 강하게 나타났다. TEM 관찰 결과 다수의 전위, 쌍정, 적층결함 및 APB와 같은 결정결함들이 3C-SiC/Si 계면 근처에 집중적으로 분포되어 있었으며 성장된 박막은 단결정임을 확인할 수 있었다. 선구체로 HMDS를 사용하여 0.3$\mu\textrm{m}$ 및 2$\mu\textrm{m}$ 두께로 성장시킨 3C-SiC/Si 박막 시료의 XRD 스펙트럼은 다소 완만한 3C-SiC(002) 피크와 함께 3C-SiC(111)피크가 관찰되었으며, TEM으로 확인한 결과 소경각 결정립들이 약 5˚-10˚ 정도 방위차를 가지고 성장하여 기둥구조(columnar structure)를 이루고 있기 때문임을 알 수 있었다. 라만 스펙트럼 분석 결과 박막의 LO 피크가 967-969nm$^{-1}$정도로 다소 낮은 wavenumber쪽으로 이동되어 박막 내에 상당한 응력이 존재함을 확인할 수 있었다. 이와 같은 HMDS 3C-SiC박막의 특성은 성장 온도가 낮고 박막 성장용 가스로 사용한 HMDS 선구체에서 탄소가 과잉으로 공급되기 때문으로 제안되었다.다.

Characterization of Fe-ACF/TiO2 composite and photocatalytic activity for MB Solution under visible light (Fe-ACF/TiO2 복합체의 특성화와 가시광선조건에서 MB 용액의 광촉매활성)

  • In present study, a conventional sol-gel method was used to prepare Fe-ACF/$TiO_2$ composites, a kind of composite photocatalysts, whose capability was evaluated by degrading methylene blue (MB) solution. The particle size, surface structure, crystal phase and elemental identification of the composites prepared were characterized by BET, SEM, XRD and EDX, respectively. The spectra of MB concentration degraded under visible light were obtained by UV/Vis spectrophotometer. These obtained spectra demonstrated the photocaltalytic activity from removal concentrations of MB. It was considered that these photonic activities are induced by a strong synergetic reaction among ACF, $TiO_2$ and Fe in the composite photocatalysts under visible light.

Synthesis and Characterization of $In_2O_3$ Nanowires in a Wet Oxidizing Environment (습식 산화 분위기에서의 산화 인듐 나노선의 합성 및 구조적 특성)

  • Indium oxide ($In_2O_3$) nanowires were successfully synthesized by a simple reaction in a wet oxidizing environment at low temperature without metal catalyst. The nanowires were characterized by an x-ray diffraction (XRD), a scanning electron microscopy (SEM) equipped with an energy dispersive spectrometry (EDS), and a transmission electron microscopy (TEM). It was shown that the $In_2O_3$ nanowires were two types of morphology, uniform nanowires and nanowires containing $In_2O_3$ nanoparticles in its stem. It was found that lengths of the nanowires were ranges of several micrometers and their diameters were around $10{\sim}250$ nm. The growth direction of the nanowires was investigated and their growth mechanism is also discussed.
