This paper presents an automated computer vision-based system to update BIM data by leveraging multi-modal visual data collected from existing buildings under inspection. Currently, visual inspections are conducted for building envelopes or mechanical systems, and auditors analyze energy-related contextual information to examine if their performance is maintained as expected by the design. By translating 3D surface thermal profiles into energy performance metrics such as actual R-values at point-level and by mapping such properties to the associated BIM elements using XML Document Object Model (DOM), the proposed method shortens the energy performance modeling gap between the architectural information in the as-designed BIM and the as-is building condition, which improve the reliability of building energy analysis. The experimental results on existing buildings show that (1) the point-level thermography-based thermal resistance measurement can be automatically matched with the associated BIM elements; and (2) their corresponding thermal properties are automatically updated in gbXML schema. This paper provides practitioners with insight to uncover the fundamentals of how multi-modal visual data can be used to improve the accuracy of building energy modeling for retrofit analysis. Open research challenges and lessons learned from real-world case studies are discussed in detail.

The purpose of this study is to review the process for the trade settlement system between all parties involved in the commercial transaction under SURF System. SURF application is the latest value added service from bolero.net and a fully automated documentary settlement system. It extends bolero.net's capability to enable trade transactions by providing a delivery versus payment system. It has been designed as a standard, shared, infrastructure component for handling trade settlement within an electronic environment to keep step with the operation of electronic Bolero bill of Lading. It exploits the services provided by the Bolero Core Messaging Platform - secure, guaranteed transactions based on boleroXML standards to provide document compliance services with optional bank guarantees. So, SURF system can automatically check all commonly used trade documents such as commercial invoices, bills of lading and certificates of weight and analysis, etc and supports a full range of settlement options including Open Account, Documentary Collections, Documentary Credit. 58 have key features as follows, ① automatic document compliance checking, ② integrated with the Title Registry, ③ supports various forms of vender financing, ④ governed by a set of legally binding rules, ⑤ fully prepared for Straight-Through-Processing, ⑥ Enabled compliance with UCP 500.

As a means of overcoming the linguistic barrier between different languages in the Internet cyberspace, a sign-language communication system has been proposed. However, the system supports avatars having the same model structure so that it is difficult to communicate between different avatar models. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a new gesture communication system in which different avatars models can communicate with each other by using a FBML (Facial Body Markup Language). Using the FBML, we define a standard document format that contains the messages to be transferred between models, where the document includes the action units of facial expression and the joint angles of gesture animation. The proposed system is implemented with Visual C++ and Open Inventor on Windows platforms. The experimental results demonstrate a possibility that the method could be used as an efficient means to overcome the linguistic problem.

BPEL is a standard workflow language, which interacts with Web Services and is used in various applications. But it is difficult to use BPEL for specific applications which require additional functions. In this paper, we present a system which can add new functions to BPEL based on an aspect-oriented programming (AOP) technique. In order to add new functions to BPEL, we define a JWX document format that can describe new functions to apply to BPEL. JWX is XML-oriented document that can code the corresponding Java program in order to dynamically add new functions to BPEL documents. It is possible for BPEL workflow to add new functions without modifying the existing programs using the AOP technique, which guarantees low degree of coupling between key and additional requirements. Additionally this systems weaves based on new functions of Java program and JWX document by expanding BPEL engine called B2J based on AOP and execute them. Therefore it is possible to develop a new BPEL engine with additional functions easily and with low cost. The new system can execute additional conditions that the current BPEL engine doesn’t provide. The new system using functions of BPEL supplied by B2J. The new system can be used to add a new rule engine, which isn't currently provided.

For the accurate creation of annotation information in a free-form annotation environment, the ambiguity that arises in the analysis stage between the geometric information and annotations needs to be resolved. Therefore, this This paper identifies, analyzes, and proposes presents solutions methods for the ambiguity that can occur between free-form marking and various contexts in XML-based annotation environment. The proposed method is based on context which includes various textual and structure information between free-form marking and annotated part. The proposed method show that the annotated portions areas included in the free-form marking information are more accurate, achieving more accurate exchange results amongst multiple users in a heterogeneous document environment. This study can be effectively applied to eLearning, Cyber-Class, and IETM

EDI(Electronic Data Interchange) works by providing a collection of standard message formats and element dictionary in a simple way for businesses to exchange data via any electronic messaging service. Open-edi is electronic data interchange among autonomous parties using public standards and aiming towards interoperability over time, business sectors, information technology and data types. The number of Internet services using XML/EDI has grown rapidly since it is easily expansible and exchangeable. To use this service, the client does not have to install EDI S/W but only needs internet browser. Consequently, it became much easier and faster to handle the trading process in an office. eBusiness SML (extensible markup language) electronic data interchange. eXedi is the service that realizes B2B of XML/EDI. eXedi can be used easily in small and medium sized companies. Companies in any place can access to eXedi using the existing Internet connection. XML/EDI provides a standard framework to exchange different types of data -- for example, an invoice, healthcare claim, project status -- so that the information be it in a transaction, exchanged via an Application Program Interface (API), web automation, database portal, catalog, a workflow document or message can be searched, decoded, manipulated, and displayed consistently and correctly by first implementing EDI dictionaries and extending our vocabulary via on-line repositories to include our business language, rules and objects.

The OGC(OpenGIS Consortium), which is standardization organization of geographic data, have been studied standard for geographic data such as GML and GML based annotation for image and map. Annotation for map is applicable in various ways, understanding about geographic data, decision making and exchange of communication. For instance, Map annotation can be used for highlighting tour-course as symbols or explaining it as text on a map in tourism. This study suggests some annotation methodology for national digital map and presents a simple implementation of it. Firstly, this study suggests a way of updating OGC annotation schema which corresponds with DXF format and creating a GML application schema using the updated OGC annotation schema. Also it suggest a way of converting instance documents of annotated map to VML document with XSLT and VML for display. Later, it is needed to study for supporting another formats as well as DXF format. In addition, it is needed to study for managing the history of updated map entity with annotation in Local governments UIS(Urban Information System) in practical aspects.

In this paper, Text editing system for XrML (extensible Rights Markup Language) that describe about integrity of message and entity authentication in addition to necessary rights, fees, condition etc. and this to do fetters XML (eXtensible Markup Language) for copyright protection for digital contents in treatise that see hereupon and use digital contents design and embody.

Recently, As the managing techniques of consuming method and transmission for the sharply increasing multimedia contents has been developed regardless of compatibility by each company, It is a serious obstacle to the development of the organized copyright techniques because nothing can be shared by each other. The MPEG committee under ISO established MPEG-21 framework for it and proposed the REL as the words taking care of copyright and standardized them. However, there seemed to be some problems that special knowledge such as Schema defining the structures of XML and REL should be necessary. Furthermore, There can be some obscurity when the authority of REL document and one of consumer side is different. Therefore, in this paper, we laid out and realized the copyright including consuming system to copyright and prove the REL documents more conveniently and RDD integration system using Web Services technology which can get rid of the vagueness of REL.

Developing wireless internet service and mobile devices, mechanisms for web service across are various. However, the existing web infrastructure and content were designed for desktop computers and arc not well-suited for other types of accesses, e.g. PDA or mobile Phone that have less processing power and memory, small screens, limited input facilities, or network bandwidth etc. Thus, there is a growing need for transcoding techniques that provide that ability to browse the web through mobile devices. However, previous researches on existing web contents transcoding are service provider centric, which does not accurately reflect the user's continuously changing interest. In this paper, we presents a transcoding technique involved in making existing news contents based on XML available via customized wireless service, mobile phone.
