  • One of the business in the future will be executed by Business to Business(B to B) model of E-Commerce. The concept of the B to B model composes the work process, people, and supporting environment. The work processes are related to the information process, technologies, and standards. Information process elements contains digital data exchange, data sharing, and collaboration. This paper designed and implemented the XML-based Business Flow Management System(BFMS) for B to B model of E-commerce in the Internet. BFMS in this paper automatically performs the information process for B to B model such as electronic bidding system including purchase order management, bidding management, delivery management to build E-Commerce in the Internet. XML can be used as document standard between business for skating and exchange of data and also provide platform independent environment.

  • In this study, we suggest the effective storage structure and management method for XML-based electrocardiography(ECG) data to support the interoperability between medical information systems, and implement the metadata system of ECG data providing the web-based information service. ECG matadata management system include functions for storing and managing as well as reporting PDF service of ECG data. We analyzed a characteristics of the data and access patterns for XML-based ECG and then used the non-partitioning storing method and indexing the extracted metadata from the HL7 aECC for supporting the quick search. We, using the template mechanism, converts the XML-based results data into various formats in order to provide services of the ECG reporting.

  • As the application area of XML extends to the database from simple contents, the technology for the storage and management of XML also grows with the XML. One of the main issues is how to efficiently manage the XML by using the previous DBMS. Many studies have been performed for the efficient management based on the XML application and database interface. However, the XML data is based on the object and has the hierarchical structure. Accorkingly, a modeling plan needs to store the XML data on the variety type of database. In this paper, for easier connection between XML application and database system, we have designed components for the transformation from XML DTD to ORDB schema. The method of the design for the transformation from XML DTD to ORDB schema is chosen the method of CBD.

  • In future digital environment, energy management system will meet the real-time capability to process the emergency events, unexpected blackouts or over-load, and the high speed to provide the consumer service events such as remote meter reading. According to, energy management system needs the simple and independent information exchange model which can transmit various energy event information in real-time. In this paper, we developed an esXML that was divided into two modelings, device modeling and event modeling, based on XML using object-oriented modeling. As a result of experiments, the system was able to exchange information independently and efficiently.

  • XML is standard of web document, and is used in language for document data exchange. XML document is used as example that change existing document to XML or makes new document by XML increases and XML search system to search XML document efficiently accordingly is requiring. This paper describes design and implementation of query processing system for translating XML elements and data between XML documents and relational database and consist of XML to DB processor, DB to XML processor and XML document management processor. Through this, described for design and embodiment of efficient XML document search system of JAVA base using XQL that is proposed in language of quality of XML document.

  • Since the types and formats of the provided material and data are difficulties from one to another, difficulties have occurred in exchanging and sharing Information. Under such a circumstance, standardization and management of information or files have been a critical factor leading to an active and successful Electronic Commerce. XML(extensible Markup Language), which is a standardized format for data exchange via internet, has been recognized as a standard by World Wide Web Consortium(W3C). XML takes web environment as the interface, runs well even in a heterogeneous environment and saves data in a standardized format, therefore, it can be effectively used for creating and transferring standardized files. In this paper, a XML-based data processing system, which aims at supplementing the existing HTML-based shopping mall system and the methodology for constructing the system is presented with specific examples.

  • XMAN은 3-계층 구조를 가지며, 웹, XML 및 서버 측 자바 기술들의 확장에 기반하여 구현된다. Currently. network managers are making use of expensive, vendor-specific management consoles to view and manipulate network data. And more and more systems are transferred to web environment. Therefore, network managers want to get information at anywhere, anytime. This requires an access of management information to be unified, cost-effective, and easy-to-use. This paper presents the implementation of an XML-based universal network management system (XMAN), which supports multiple internet devices as management console. XMAN has 3-tire architecture, and the implementation is based on an extensive use of emerging Web, XML, and Java technologies.

  • Recently, to overcome the limit of keyword based retrieval system, the study based structured document has been studied. But it is hard for structured retrieval system to adapt a real service, in this paper, we propose a method of retrieval mechanism for the fulltext of XML documents. We explain DTD of XML based report, extracting navigation information and planing to adapt the retrieval system for article retrieval. Using the fulttext retrieval scheme, suggested system can be an alternative plan of professional structured based retrieval system.

  • With the increasing use of XML, considerable research is being conducted on the XML document management systems for more efficient storage and searching of XML documents. Depending on the base systems, these researches can be classified into object-oriented DBMS (OODBMS) and relational DBMS (RDBMS). OODBMS-based systems are better suited to reflect the structure of XML-documents than RDBMS based ones. However, using an XML parser to map the contents of documents to relational tables is a better way to construct a stable and effective XML document management system. The proposed X-Binder system uses an RDBMS-based inverted index; this guarantees high searching speed but wastes considerable storage space. To avoid this, the proposed system incorporates a path combining module agent that combines paths with sibling relations, and stores them in a single row. Performance evaluation revealed that the proposed system reduces storage wastage and search time.

  • 국군에서 99년도에 공식적 웹 문서에 XML을 활용하기로 발표한 바 있다. 그러나 현재 이를 제대로 수용하고 활성화하기 위한 전문 인력과 제반 여건은 크게 미흡한 실정이다. 이 논문에서는 XML 도입에 대비하여 군의 현 시스템을 분석하고, XML의 활성화를 위한 정보시스템 계획을 제시하고자 한다. XML/EDI는 문서 교환 방식을 혁신적으로 개선할 수 있는 정보 기술이며 군의 과학화와 정보화를 위하여 전략적 중요성을 가지고 있다. 그러나 XML을 통한 정보 시스템의 구축은 현 군사 운영 체계와 분리될 수 없는 문제이므로 전략적 정보 시스템 계획 수립의 차원에서 이 문제가 검토되어야 한다. 이 연구에서는 군사 계층별 업무 요구사항을 분석하여 현실태와 문제점을 파악하고, 웹 정보 시스템도입을 위한 조직 구조를 제시한다 실용화 도입의 단계별 조직 계획과 XML 교육 훈련 계획, XML 활용대상 업무의 선정 등을 중심으로 연구한다. 연구의 중요한 산출물로서 전략적 정보 시스템 계획의 애플리케이션 시스템 맵을 제시한다.
