CALS is a strategy to share integrated product data through a set of standards to achieve efficiencies in business and operational mission areas. In this paper, we studied current status for CALS standard and then analyzed the case of US DoD. The results can be summarized as implementing for two major standard in defense CALS system. They are STEP and XML. Korea Defense can be used to set direction for CALS standard implementation and standard selection process based on this paper's recommendations.

With the expansion of internet usage and the advanced technology for information and communication, the international e-Trade environment gradually migrates from the VAN/EDI to the global Internet-based e-Traed on an ebXML framework. In an effort to provide a Internet-based e-Trade environment with a security and trust, this paper analyzes security components and proposed the SSL and ebXML security technologies in order to assure of the trust and security over Internet-based e-Trade. In addition, this paper presents 3-phase methodology to realize the secure and trustworthy Internet-based e-Trade. In summary, as the first phase, the e-Trade business processes are re-engineered and the digital signature council for mutual recognition is orgainzed. And as the second phase, the Internet-based e-Trade system and the concerned digital signature technology are implemented. Finally as third phase, the PKI mutual recognition agreement is signed by parties concerned and then the Internet-based e-trade business is started. Furthermore, this paper presents the promising Internet-based e-Trade models where the digital signature can be applied.

It is one of the crucial components of electronic logistics systems to manage logistics information of cargos and transportation companies and to mediate appropriate brokerage between them. Due to the advance of e-Commerce technologies many kinds of logistics transactions can be handled by means of EDI or XML/EDI applications. but the brokering processing relies mostly on the traditional processes and the research in this field is still at the initial stage. In this paper we study a logistics brokering system for ships and cargos and describe the design and implementation of the system. We analyze the brokering constraints for logistics of cargos and ships and construct an optimization model for their brokering. We also suggest a brokering procedure and a simple heuristic algorithm with respect to the proposed matching criteria. The experimental result shows that the proposed greedy-based heuristic algorithm performs very well. In its response time the proposed algorithm executed within a couple of seconds independently of the number of cargos and the container capacities of ships. The output of the algorithm is very close to that of the optimal solution. showing higher than 95% of approximation. The proposed system is implemented for the Web environment using JSP and PL/SQL.

이기종 간의 문서 교환 표준으로 제안되 SGML은 문서의 구조정보를 표현할 수 있는 장점으로 인해 CALS(Commerce At Light Speed), EC(Electronic Commerce), EDI(Electronic Data Interchange), 전자 도서관(Digital Library) 등 여러 분야에서 사용되고 있다. 이렇게 SGML이 여러 분야에서 사용됨에 따라 많은 SGML 문서 중에서 원하는 문서를 효율적으로 찾아줄 수 있는 검색 시스템의 필요성이 증가하고 있다. 이에 본 연구실에서는 기본적인 구조 검색을 지원하는 SGML 문서 관리시스템을 기개발하였다. 그러나 이 시스템은 구조 검색을 효과적으로 지원하기 못하기 때문에 본 연구에서는 구조 검색의 기능을 정의하고, 이를 지원하는 새로운 구조 질의어를 정의하였다. 또한 이러한 구조 검색을 효과적으로 지원하기 위한 구조 색인을 정의하였다. 그리고 구조 검색 방식으로 세가지 방식을 각각 구현 및 실험하여 그 중에서 성능이 뛰어난 절충식을 이용하여 검색 시스템을 구현하였다.

B2B(business-to-business) commerce has become the prime driver of contemporary electronic commerce. Under B2B commerce, corporations often must operate across organizational boundaries to share their business processes. Workflow management was proposed by Aalst(4, 5) to support several business partners that are involved in shared workflow processes in B2B commerce. We designed a messaging system for B2B workflow, where heterogeneous workflow management systems on each organization for trade were integrated. Based on Aalst's example in(4, 5), we analyzed B2B workflow by using class diagram, use case diagram, activity diagram, and statechart diagram of UML, and designed the messaging system, We also demonstrated a prototype system which was implemented by using Java API and XML. To compare with a holistic system such as EDI systems, the messaging system allows the business partners in B2B commerce to communicate with each other by dedicated messages and integrate each B2B interoperable workflow without any restrictions.

In the process of global transportation, many value chains which have different business process, system and technology level respectively are connected to each other. To obtain end-to-end visibility of transportation, these kind of discrepancy has to be solved appropriately. In this paper, the realization of global visibility is discussed in three point of view such as 'Data Sourcing', 'System integration' and 'System Operation'. First, the data sources of global visibility are described especially from the point of enterprise applications view, and then system integration is presented using various current e-commerce technologies for example XML, EDI and so on. Finally, flexible operation of visibility function is suggested which satisfies different goals of each value chain.

Globalization of the industry induces the internationalization of any given manufacturing company's supply chain. Development of e-Commerce and Information Technology (IT) changes the logistics structure, making logistics information systems essential. Web-based connectivity and supply chains based on new technologies are becoming essential in the logistics industry. Customers are driving the implementation of systems to ensure timely, thorough, and accurate information, often with immediate access; in response, the Internet has propagated tracking and tracing systems. Value-added services are the key to successful intermediary activities. The nationwide Integrated Logistics Information System (ILIS) aimed to utilize existing and future information infrastructure and knowledge bases to build an integrated logistics information network that would provide comprehensive logistics information services for shippers and carriers in order to improve the efficiency of both inventory and information flows in their supply chains. The ILIS, as one of the seven national information networks, has provided various services, particularly services related to import/export and clearance. Though a survey concerning logistics information services shows rather positive results, shippers and carriers still require better services and reductions in EDI prices. Therefore, the role of the ILIS needs to be re-defined. Short-term plans for the ILIS contain ICD services and XML/EDI services, which are described in detail.

정보 인프라가 제공됨에 있어서 정보보호를 위한 암호화의 중요성이 강조되고 있다. 기존의 유선 인터넷환경에서 EDI의 전자서명과, 기밀성 서비스는 RSA 방식을 동해 이루어지고 있다. 이러한 유선환경의 방식을 무선환경에 적용시키기 위해서는 여러가지 제약조건으로 인하여 속도, 데이터 교환 및 암호화 알고리즘의 적용에 있어서 문제점이 야기된다. 본 논문에서는 무선 환경에서의 효율적인 암호화키 관리를 위한 EKCS(Encryption Key Control System) 시스템을 제시한다. EKCS 시스템은 적은 메모리와 제한된 환경에서의 처리능력을 가진 무선 환경에 적합한 ECC 암호화 알고리즘과 무선환경에서의 제약성을 극복하고자 데이터의 폭넓은 활용성을 가진 XML문서를 사용한다. 본 논문은 무선환경에서 컴포넌트 기반의 다중 계층 구조를 갖는 암호화 키 관리 시스템을 설계 및 구현한다.

최근 컴퓨팅 기술과 통신 기술의 급속한 발전으로 클라이언트/서버 컴퓨팅 환경에서 네트워크 컴퓨팅 시대를 지나 인터넷 컴퓨팅 시대가 도래하고 있다. 인터넷 사용이 보편화되어 감에 따라 기업의 정보 시스템의 인터넷 기반의 인트라넷/익스트라넷 시스템으로 구축되어 가고 있으며 인터넷 환경에서의 기업과 소비자간 또는 기업과 기업간의 전자 거래 관련 응용 프로그램의 개발이 다양해 지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 인터넷 환경에서 기업과 기업간 전자 거래에 있어서 기업의 글로벌화를 통해 조달 업무의 투명성과 신속성 및 질적 향상을 추구할 수 있도록 제공하기 위한 웹 기반 전자 입찰 시스템을 구현하는데 있어서 클라이언트와 서버 및 데이터 베이스를 연동하기 위한 웹기술, 기업간의 문서 교환을 위한 XML/EDI 기술 및, 입찰과 계약과정, 조달과정에서 안전성 및 신뢰성을 보장하기 위해 공개키 암호화 기술인 PKI 기반 구조의 인증 및 전자서명을 활용한 보안 기능을 설계한다.

The Manifestation Consolidation System(MFCS) has made a peat contribution to effective improvement of distribution industry. To save distribution expenses and the time needed to record reports, more simplified system is being used for which overlapped or unnecessary transmitted items in taking care of goods are decreased. To become a center of Asian distribution information, our country has to prepare for the base of the MFCS and use it effectively Therefore, for an effective management of the MFCS, this study examines a procedure that takes care of goods in the MFCS, presents a future-model of the MFCS, and analyses classification of tasks relating to export and import and titles of electronic documents. In conclusion, this study aims at presenting an interpretative base of the MFCS in a practical viewpoint rather than presenting its technical direction.
