General Characteristics and Housing Environments of Agricultural Households by Eup.Myun Area : Analyses of 2008 Survey Data on the Rural Living Indicators (전국 농가의 읍.면 거주지역별 일반적 특성과 주거환경 비교 : 2008 농촌생활지표 자료를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to find out the nationwide general characteristics and housing environments of agricultural households and the differences of them by Eup-Myun Areas. The data were subsample of the 2008 survey on the rural living indicators collected by the rural development administration. Only agricultural households, 73.7% of the original nationwide data (1,461 households out of 1,983) sampled by multi-stage stratified clustering methods and face to face interview in Aug. 2008, were selected and the cross-tabulation(X2) was mainly used to find the difference by Eup Myun areas through spss 12.0 for window. The results showed that the general characteristics of agricultural households such as head of household, family, and economic characteristics were mainly differed by Eup Myun Areas. Agricultural households in Eup area were more likely low in the general characteristics than were those in Myun area. Housing environments were less likely than the general characteristics differed by Eup Myun areas. Improvements of drinking water system, housing alteration, oder, and garbage system were needed to increase the satisfaction with residential environments of agricultural households. This study suggests the use of annual survey on the rural living indicators data would be applicable to various research subjects of home economics.

PC용 중소형 S/W개발을 위한 graphic user interface tool kit

  • S/W의 구성은 기능을 실제로 수행하는 계산처리부와 사용자와 정보를 주고받는 User Interface부로 크게 나누어 볼 수 있다. 대부분의 S/W는 그 기능의 충실도와 아울러 편리한 사용법이 잘 어울려야 제역할을 할 수 있다. 따라서 편리한 User Interface를 만드는 일은 훌륭한 기능을 제공하는 것과 마찬가지로 S/W 개발자들이 지향해야 할 목표중 하나라 하겠다. 그러나 편리한 User Interface를 만드는 일은 전체 시스템개발 기간중 상당한 부분을 차지한다. 특히 CAD/CAM관련 S/W와 같이 사용자와 정보를 Graphic으로 주고받는 경우에는 User Interface의 구성이 더욱 더 어려워지며, 개발기간중 User Interace가 차지하는 비중은 더욱 커지게 된다. GUI는 최근들어 상당히 각광을 받고 있는 분야이며, 상당수의 GUI가 개발되어 있고, 이중 Unix용의 X-Window MS-DOS용의 MS-WINDOWS 3.0이 널리 사용되고 있다. 그러나 이러한 Window System들은 매우 다양한 기능을 제공하고 있음에도 불구하고, GUI자체의 덩치가 매우크고, S/W개발자가 익혀야하는 내용이 너무 복잡하여, 중/소형의 S/W개발에 사용하기에는 적합하지 않다. 본 연구에서는 GUI(Graphic User Interface)부분을 계산처리부와 완전분리하여, 범용성있는 개발용 Tool Kit을 구성함으로써 S/W개발자는 계산처리부만을 만들면되는 방안을 제시하고 있다. GS-GUI는 Menu처리부, Mouse/Keyboard입력처리부, Text/Graphic출력처리부로 나뉘어진다. Menu처리부는 Menu File로 주어지는 Menu Tree를 Pop-Up형태로 보여주며 User가 Menu를 선택할 수 있도록하며 선택된 Menu Item에 대한 Action Code를 계산처리부로 넘겨준다. 입력처리부에서는 Mouse와 Keyboard 어느것으로나 입력이 가능하도록 해준다. 출력처리부에서는 Action Code에 따라 계산처리부에서 계산된 결과를 화면에 보여주기 위한 각종 2D/3D Graphic Routine들이 포함되어있어 계산처리부에서 불러쓰도록 되어있다.

Development of Structural Analysis Platform through Internet-based Technology Using Component Models (컴포넌트 모델을 이용한 인터넷 기반 구조해석 플랫폼 개발)

  • The study proposes component models in developing an efficient platform for internet-based structural analysis. Since a structural analysis requires an operation of complicated algorithms, a client-side computation using X-Internet is preferred to a server-side computation to provide a flexible service for multi-users. To compete with the user-friendly interfaces of available commercial analysis programs, a window-based interface using Smart Client was applied. Also, component-based programming was performed with the considerations on reusability and expandability so that active Preparation for future change or modification could be feasible. The components describe the whole system by subdivision and simplification. In the relationship between upper-and lower-level components and also in the relationship between components and objects, a unified interface was used to clearly classify the connection between the libraries. By performing data communication between different types of platforms using XML WebService, a conner-stone of data transfer is proposed for the future integrated CAE. The efficiency of the developed platform has been examined through a sample structural analysis and design on planar truss structures.

Management of Fast Putting Green by Using Green Speed Expectation Models (그린 스피드 예측 모형을 통한 빠른 그린 관리 방법)

  • This study was carried out to propose low types of green speed expectation models for fast putting green management by changing mowing height($4.0{\sim}2.5$ mm) and timing of rolling, dew removal and dew removal+rolling. Ball roll distance data were taken from the creeping bentgrass(Agrostis palustris Huds. 'Penncross') practice green of east course at the Lakeside C.C. in October 18, 2001 and May 25, 2002. Data were subjected to multi-regression analysis using Statistical Package for the Social Science. Among four types of green speed expectation models, the best multiple-regression equation for fast green management was as follows; $Y_4=4.171-0.225{\cdot}X_1-0.038{\cdot}X_2$ (where, $Y_4$ : green speed(m) after single dew removal+single rolling, $X_1$ : mowing height($4.0{\sim}2.5,\;X_2$ : passage of time ($0{\sim}8$ h.)). The equation[single dew removal by using sponge roller $\rightarrow$ single mowing at 3.0 mm height or less $\rightarrow$ single rolling] explained to provide fast green over 3.2 m (Stimpmeter readings required for USGA championship play) until the end of first round. Therefore, this cultural practice system was believed to provide fast putting green condition for professional golf tournament

  • Most UIMS(User Interface Management System) adopt dialogue model of user interface Implementation of UIMS influenced by adopted dialogue model of user interface strongly. While the Model-View-Controller framework has contributed to many aspects of user interface development in Smalltalk environment- user interfaces generated with MVC have highly coupled model, view, and controller classes. Such coupling impedes the reuse of software component. So In this paper, we suggest MVCD model to resolve a decline of reuse with MVC have highly coupled. User messages are not changed by Controller immediately, but sent to Dialogue object which maintains the syntatic structure of the interaction. Dialogue object invokes Model object to updates is value. Since Model objects have active values, the value change propagates to the linked Controllers. Finally, Controller object convert the new value and update the View object. User interface builder is implemented on X-window with OSF/Motif that is base on this user dialogue model.

A Study on Sizing System and Preferable Ease in a Men's Dress Shirt for Virtual Mass Customization System (가상공간의 대량맞춤 생산을 위한 남성 드레스셔츠 치수체계와 선호 여유량에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to survey sizing system and preferable ease and to decide the body measuring items for pattern making in a men's dress shirt for mass customization industry that is rising to the surface as a new production system. For this, it had a survey subjects were 254 males between 25 to 44 years old who wear dress shirt frequently and the relevant on line companies, and analyzed the garment sizing system and preferable ease. Collected data were analysed by frequency analysis, t-test, $X^2-test$, and ANOVA using SPSS 12.0 for window. Garment pattern making should reflect the sizes of the body parts well, and simplification of the ordering process would work as an important variable. In relation to the preferable ease, older people preferred more ease while younger people preferred fit ease. In relation to the sizes, people wearing the size of '110' preferred more ease than the size of '90'. And people weighing over 90kg preferred sufficient ease than less weighing. People height over 170cm people preferred sufficient ease for the length between shoulders than height under 170cm. In case of the companies had no consistent sizing system. Significant difference was found in the sizes, except for the size of '100', among those companies, there was significant difference in the length between shoulders and the length of the shirt among those companies and those sizes. Significant body parts for a garment pattern making was height, the circumference of the neck, the chest circumference, the length between biacromion, the arms length, and the waist circumference.

  • SAW filters of transversal type were fabricated on some piezoelectric substrate of the LN 128 $^{\circ}$ Y-X waters through the simulation in which the number of IDT and window function were changed for the required frequency, and the mask making. Their IDT spacing and width were 1.63$\mu\textrm{m}$, 1.239$\mu\textrm{m}$, respectively. Titanium thin films having different thicknesses were introduced between the Al electrode and the substrate for improving the power resistance strength due to its high temperature durability and good adhesion characteristics. All of specimens showed similar insertion loss results, which means the possibility of introducing the Ti layer though it is known to have a higher resistivity leading to a worse insertion loss result. Ti inserted specimens had a better power durability than that of pure Al electrode though their thickness had no effect on the performance.

  • 데스크탑 환경의 멀티미디어 디스플레이 시스템은 고해상도, 대화면의 영상을 제공해 줄 수 있는 반면 제약된 공간에서만 동작하므로 휴대할 수 없는 문체가 있다. PDA, PMP와 모바일 폰과 같은 휴대성을 가지는 멀티미디어 디스플레이 시스템은 해상도가 낮아 사용자에게 충분한 몰입감을 제공 해 주지 못한다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 데스크탑 환경에서 동작하는 프로젝션 기반의 증강현실 시스템을 모바일 플랫폼으로 확장한 프로젝션 기반의 휴대형 멀티미디어 디스플레이 시스템을 제안한다. 제안된 시스템은 PDA와 포켓 프로젝터를 결합한 것으로, PDA에서 전 처리된 멀티미디어 영상을 포켓 프로젝터를 이용하여 임의의 모양을 가지는 스크린에 왜곡 없이 영상을 표시해 줄 수 있다. 개발환경은 Window Mobile 5.0 기반의 ARM 플랫폼을 사용하는 PDA를 이용하였고, 시스템의 최적화를 위하여 x86 플랫폼에 최적화된 OpenCV 라이브러리를 모바일용으로 변환하였다. 또한 모바일 플랫폼에서는 부동소수점 연산으로 인한 시스템의 속도저하 문제가 발생하기 때문에 부동소수점 연산을 정수 연산으로 변환함으로써 처리 속도를 개선하였다. 프로젝션 기반의 디스플레이 시스템을 실현하기 위해서 필요한 기술적인 과제들을 모바일 환경에서 직접 처리해 봄으로써 휴대형 프로젝션 기반의 멀티미디어 시스템의 가능성을 제시한다.

A Survey of the Computer Graphics Standards (컴퓨터 그래픽 표준에 대한 조사연구)

  • As more application programs have graphic functions, standards in the computer graphics are becoming important. To develop a computer aided design and production system for ships, which would be used by different shipyards, a graphic library should be chosen as a standard. Existing ISO graphic standards and de facto industrial standards are surveyed. They are, to name some of them, GKS, PHIGS, X-Window, PEX, PDES, and STEP. GKS and PHIGS concern about the application programmer's interface. Others handle the device interface. PDES and STEP are to standardize the graphical data transfer between heterogeneous systems. Their inter-relations are investigated. Some preliminary suggestions for the choice of graphic standards are included in this paper.

An ionization Chamber for a Steel Sheet Thickness Measurement

  • An ionization chamber is still widely used in many fields by virtue of its' simple operational characteristics and the possibility of its' various shapes. A parallel type of an ionization chamber for a steel sheet thickness measurement was designed and fabricated. High pure xenon gas, which was pressurized up to 6 atm, was chosen as a filling gas to increase the current response and sensitivity for a radiation. A high pressure gas system was also constructed. The active volume and the incident window size of the fabricated ionization chamber were $30\;cm^3\;and\;12\;cm^2$, respectively. Preliminary tests with a 25 mCi $^{241}Am$ gamma-ray source and evaluation tests in a standard X-ray field were performed. The optimal operation voltage was set from the results of the collection efficiency calculation by using an experimental two-voltage method. Linearity for a variation of the steel sheet thickness, which is the most important factor for an application during a steel sheet thickness measurement, was 0.989 in this study.
