초등학생의 시험불안에 대한 학업적 자기효능감과 시험불안 대처방식의 상호작용효과 (The Interaction Effects on Test Anxiety of Elementary School Students by Academic Self-Efficacy and Test Anxiety Coping Styles)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the interaction effects of children's academic self-efficacy and to test their anxiety coping style in terms of their test anxiety. We conducted a questionnaire survey with 193 sixth-graders in an elementary school. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, the children were more worried about emotionality to test anxiety, and used problem-focused coping significantly more frequently than emotion-focused coping. In addition, female children demonstrated more emotionality and worry about test anxiety and used emotion-focused coping for test anxiety more frequently. Second, emotionality was higher when emotion-focused coping was used. In the case where the level of problem-focused coping was high, emotionality was higher when academic self-efficacy was high. Children's worry was lower when the level of problem-focused coping was high and when the level of emotion-focused coping was low. In female children, however, worry increased when the level of problem-focused coping was low and the level of emotion-focused coping was high.

  • This study was designed to investigate the effect of test anxiety, intelligence, and item arrangement order on test performance in Earth Science. The main purposes in this study were to investigate (1) (2) (3) (4) on test performance.: (1) the effect of test anxiety components on test performance in Earth Science. (2) the effect of item arrangement order on test performance in Earth Science. The hypothesis was that there is difference among test achievements scores according to (1) test anxiety-worry levels. (2) item arrangement orders. (3) item arrangement orders on test anxiety-worry levels. (4) test anxiety-worry levels on intelligence levels. (5) test anxiety-emotionality levels. (6) item arrangement orders on test anxiety-emotionality levels. (7) test anxiety-emotionality levels on intelligence levels. (8) item arrangement orders on intelligence levels. The test items selected for this study were derived from the text Science (part 1) first grade of high school. The subjects of this study were 164 of high school first grade boy students in Pusan. They were assigned to one of the three groups, according to test anxiety levels.: (1) upper 25% of total subjects designated to high group (2) middle 50% (3) low group, lower 25% of total subjects And according to LQ. (1) upper 25% of total subjects designated to high group. (2) middle 50%. (3) low group, lower 25% of total subjects Analysis of variance was used in this study for hypothesis examination. The dependent variable was the achievement scores of Earth Science test and independent variables were test anxiety(worry, emotionality) level, LQ. level, item arrangement orders. The principal findings of the present study are as follows: (1)Test achievement score trend decreases as the test anxiety (worry, emotionality) increases although the result is not statistically significant. (2)There is no significant difference among test achievement scores according to item arrangement orders. (3)The higher the LQ. is, the more effective test anxiety. And the LQ. has significant interaction effect with test anxiety. (4)There is significant interaction effect between the LQ. levels and itemqr arrangement orders.

불면증과 성격유형 (Insomnia and Personality Trait)

  • Personality traits in insomniac patients have been a subject of many studies. A number of these studies have used the MMPI and have demonstrated elevated scores on several clinical scales reflecting somatic concerns, somatization, depression, anxiety, worry and social alienation. And it was suggested that insomnia was due to a process of internalization of psychological distress. Another hypothesis about psychological mechanisms has focused upon worry. Excessive and uncontrollable cognitive activity seem to be a characteristic feature of many insomniacs. One author emphasized the role of the dependency need and found a characteristic pattern among insomniacs. The central feature of this pattern is frustration of dependency need. The purpose of this paper was to review possible personality variable that may be predisposing causal factors of insomnia. Several factors are suggested by many studies, but in order to explore their causal importance other experimental and longitudinal studies are needed.

  • Recently, the flooding of rivers caused by rainy season and heavy rains in Korea causes economic and environmental problems such as flood damage and urban flooding. Therefore, in order to solve these problems, local governments use landscaping methods and drainage facilities to prevent them, but they are not perfect solutions. Domestic awareness also lacks awareness to worry about flooding only during rainy seasons and heavy rains, and to worry about or prevent flooding in the region. In order to solve this problem, we recognize the importance of permeable blocks nationwide and replace or install permeable paving materials on most sidewalks. However, since existing permeable blocks used cement as the main material, calcium carbonate is produced when reacted with water. Efflorescence occurs, and the resulting calcium carbonate blocks the pores of the permeation block, causing a decrease in permeability.

Exploring the Psychological Mechanism Underlying the Effect of COVID-19 Information Exposure via Digital Media on COVID-19 Preventive Behavioral Intention

  • Despite the increasing use of digital media and their powerful impact on risk management during recent outbreaks of emerging infectious diseases, the question of how digital media exposure influences preventive behaviors has not been fully explained. Using the appraisal tendency framework and protection motivation theory as theoretical frameworks, we theorized the affective and cognitive mechanisms under which the differential roles of three negative emotions (fear, anger, worry) on two cognitive appraisals (perceived threat and perceived efficacy) were examined. Based on data collected from a survey of 1,500 South Koreans during the COVID-19 pandemic, we found that while worry and anger increased perceived efficacy, fear reduced perceived efficacy. The results also showed that although exposure to COVID-19 information via digital formats increased preventive behavioral intention in general, digital media use for COVID-19 information had a negative influence on preventive behavioral intention through the sequential mediation of fear and perceived efficacy.

병원 간호사의 사건보고 불이행 경험여부에 영향을 미치는 요인 (Study on Factors Affecting Nurses' Experience of Non-Reporting Incidents)

  • Purpose: This study was designed to identify the factors affecting the nurses' experience of non-reporting adverse incidents in hospital. Methods: This study is a cross-sectional, descriptive survey design and nonrandom, convenience sampling. Study subjects were 392 clinical nurses, who have agreed to be the subject of this research. The measuring instrument of attitudes toward incident reporting was developed by the authors. The questionnaire which consisted of 17 items about worry about appraisal, the belief in improvement, the intention of reporting, and knowledge was measured by 5-point Likert-type scale. The estimate of internal consistency was alpha =.84. Analysis of data was done with use of mean, t-test, ANOVA, logistic regression with SPSS program. Results: Clinical nurses had experience of reporting incident (51.3%), non-reporting incident (76.5%). Statistically, significant differences were found between experiences group and non experience group in intention on reporting, belief on improvement, and worry about appraisal. Logistic regression analysis showed that the significant predictors were caused by report no-fault cases, belief on improvement, worry about appraisal. Conclusion: The result also indicated that, to improve the incident reporting and risk management, it might be necessary to give a belief that it results on improvement and remove concern about punishment through construction of no-blame system.

초등학생의 상담 실태와 상담요구 및 고민문제 탐색 -전라북도를 중심으로- (A Study on Elementary Students' Counseling Services and Needs for Counseling & Their Troubles -the case of elementary schools in Jeollabukdo)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 초등학교의 상담 실태를 조사하고 상담에 대한 요구와 고민의 정도를 분석하여 초등학교에서의 바람직한 상담의 방향을 제시하는데 있다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하기 위하여 전라북도 초등학교 학생 476명을 대상으로 질문지를 사용하여 실태조사를 하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 학생들은 상담안내, 상담경험 및 상담교사와 상담실이 부족하며, 담임교사가 상담이 필요하다고 생각될 때 이루어지는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 수업이 끝난 후를 이용해 개인 상담을 원하며, 자신의 문제를 잘 들어주고 이해해주는 여자 상담선생님을 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 초등학생들은 고민의 정도가 6학년 여학생, 형제가 있는 학생, 아버지만 계시는 학생, 하위권 학생이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 초등학생의 고민문제의 각 영역들 간에 정적상관이 있었다. 본 연구결과로 볼 때, 초등학생들에게 실제적인 학교상담이 이루어지기 위해서는 행정적 제도적인 내용을 재검토해 볼 필요가 있으며, 학생 스스로가 문제를 해결할 수 있도록 다양한 상담프로그램이 개발되어야 할 것으로 사료된다.

정신분열병 환자 가족의 단기 가족교육 후 대처전략 및 스트레스 변화에 대한 연구 (Changes of Stress and Coping Strategy in Families of Schizophrenic Patients after Brief Program of Family Education)

  • 연구목적 : 본 연구는 정신분열병 환자의 가족이 겪는 각종 스트레스(불안, 우울, 거부감, 걱정 등)와 함께 가족의 대처 전략의 정도를 평가하고 단기가족교육 후 정신분열병에 대한 지식과 스트레스, 대처전략의 변화 정도를 대조군과 비교해 단기가족교육의 효과를 평가 하고자 하였다. 방법 : DSM-IV 진단기준에 따라서 분류된 정신분열병 환자의 가족 중에서 가족교육을 받은 24 명을 교육군으로 하고 동 질환으로 본과에 입원한 환자의 가족 중에서 22명을 선정하여 대조군으로 하였다. 교육군에게는 가족교육 전후에, 대조군에게는 환자 입원 시와 4주 이후에 두 번 설문지를 작성하도록 하였다. 사용된 설문지는 Family Coping Questionnaire(FCQ), Patient Rejection Scale(PRS), 걱정설문지, 지식설문지, Beck Depression Inventory(BDI), State-Trait Anxiety Inventory(STAI) 등이다. 결과 : 1) 교육군에서 걱정설문지, BDI, STAI-S는 사후평가 점수가 사전평가 점수보다 유의하게 낮았고 FCQ의 사회적 관심항목과 지식설문지는 사후평가 점수가 사전평가 점수보다 유의하게 높았다. FCQ요인에서는 회피와 관련된 사회적 관심의 전략이 사후평가 점수가 사전평가 점수보다 유의하게 높았다. 반면에 대조군에서는 모든 설문지에서 사전평가 점수와 사후평가 점수 사이에 유의한 차이가 보이지 않았다. 2) 교육군에서 걱정설문지의 점수 차와 STAI-S의 점수 차 사이, 걱정설문지의 점수 차와 STAI-T의 점수 차 사이에 유의한 정적 상관관계가 있었고 FCQ의 긍정적 상호작용항목의 점수 차와 PRS의 점수 차 사이, 지식설문지의 점수 차와 STAI-S의 점수 차 사이에는 유의한 부적 상관관계가 있었다. 반면에 대조군에서는 FCQ의 정보항목의 점수 차와 PRS의 점수 차 사이, 긍정적 상호작용항목의 점수 차와 PRS의 점수 차 사이에만 유의한 부적 상관관계가 있었다. 3) 교육군에서는 걱정설문지의 점수 차와 환자의 나이 사이에 유의한 정적 상관관계가 있었고 지식설문지의 점수 차와 환자의 유병기간 사이에 유의한 부적 상관관계가 있었지만 대조군에서는 유의한 상관관계가 존재하지 않았다. 결론 : 단기가족교육 후에 가족들의 지식이 증가하고 걱정과 불안감이 감소하였으며 환자에게서 벗어나 사회적 관심이 높아지게 되었다. 한편, 교육군에서는 지식의 증가에 따라 불안감이 감소했지만 대조군에서는 상관 관계가 없었다. 또한 교육군과 대조군 모두에서 지식의 변화와는 상관없이 거부감이 적어질수록 긍정적 의사소통의 대처전략을 많이 사용했고 대조군에서 거부감의 영향을 더 많이 받았다.

어머니의 정서표현 수용태도, 유아의 정서지능 및 문제행동간의 관계 (The Relationship between Maternal Attitudes toward Children's Expressiveness, Children's Emotional Intelligence and Problem Behaviors)

  • This study examined the relationship between maternal attitudes toward children's expressiveness, children's emotional intelligence and problem behaviors. The question as to whether emotional intelligence mediated the relationship between maternal attitudes and problem behaviors was also explored. A sample of 307 preschool children were used as subjects. Mothers rated their levels of acceptance toward their children's emotions, while teachers reported on the children's emotional abilities and behavioral problems. The data were analyzed by means of regression analyses. Our results indicated that mothers' controlling attitudes were associated with low levels of worry-anxiety. Additionally, it was found that children with high emotional intelligence showed low levels of worry-anxiety, hostility-aggression, and hyperactivity-inattention. While multiple factors of emotional intelligence had differential impacts, the self-control factor was the most powerful predictor for all the problem behaviors. It was further found that a mother's receptive attitude was related to higher levels of self-awareness in children. Instead of the significant mediating effect of emotional intelligence, it was revealed that emotional intelligence had greater effects upon problem behaviors than maternal attitudes toward children's expressiveness.
