This study examines music visualization characteristics appearing in Giorgio Armani's S/S 2000 Collection and Genny's F/W 2000 Collection, which elicited and reinterpreted the characteristics through an analysis of Kandinsky's paintings. Study results are as follows. First, music visualization characteristics were extracted through an analysis of Kandinsky's works to examine music visualization that appears in contemporary fashion. Further analysis of Kandinsky's works were done in regards to music visualization (Impression, Improvisation, and Composition), and music visualization characteristics were categorized into 'spatial element', 'mobility', and 'overlap'. Second, the analysis of contemporary fashion with a spatial component showed that space was often clothed through color contrasts that highlighted concise and playful effects. Emphasis on line and three-dimensional effects were shown by overlapping lines and costume pleats with exposure expressed by semiotic forms and fabric character4istics. Third, the analysis of clothes that express mobility shows that they commonly express mobility through free color arrangements and a shading of colors with playfulness. The effects of emphasis, uniformity, and exposure were shown through the gloss and transformation of fabric that emphasized fabric characteristics; in addition, the effect of simplicity, three-dimensionality, and uniformity were expressed by adopting the forms of geometric shapes. Fourth, the analysis of clothes that manifest the overlap showed a predominant overlapping of colors and fabric. The esthetic effects of playfulness and exposure were emphasized through colors, shapes, and lines.

Sentiment analysis as part of natural language processing (NLP) has received much attention following the demand to understand people's opinions. Aspect-based sentiment analysis (ABSA) is a fine-grained subtask from sentiment analysis that aims to classify sentiment at the aspect level. Throughout the years, researchers have formulated ABSA into various tasks for different scenarios. Unlike the early works, the current ABSA utilizes many elements to improve performance and provide more details to produce informative results. These ABSA formulations have provided greater challenges for researchers. However, it is difficult to explore ABSA's works due to the many different formulations, terms, and results. In this paper, we conduct a comparative analysis of recent studies on ABSA. We mention some key elements, problem formulations, and datasets currently utilized by most ABSA communities. Also, we conduct a short review of the latest papers to find the current state-of-the-art model. From our observations, we found that span-level representation is an important feature in solving the ABSA problem, while multi-task learning and generative approach look promising. Finally, we review some open challenges and further directions for ABSA research in the future.
Lucie Rie as an individual ceramist in terms of contemporary meaning was influenced by early 20th century's academic education and the ideology of modern formative arts. According to 'The Analysis of Industrial Accidents in 2016' by Ministry of Employment and Labor, the number of deaths caused by accidents in the construction field is 391, accounting for 47% of 826 industrial fatalities in all industries. The breakdown of the 391 fatalities of the construction industry shows that 'struck by an object' accident had 30 fatalities, the 3rd in frequency following falling (235) and crashing (32) accidents. This study aims to explore ways to reduce the 'struck by an object' accident with emphasis on safety education and certificate system for rigging and slinging works. This study reviews literature on rigging and slinging works and analyzes 'struck by an object' accidents. The rules and regulation on the rigging and slinging works are also reviewed both for Korea and other countries with best practices in construction safety such as Singapore, Japan, U.K., and U.S. The rigging and slinging certificate systems of those countries are also reviewed to find any advantage in the construction safety management. In addition, a pilot rigging and slinging certificate system was executed in one of domestic construction site followed by two surveys: one on the riggers who participated in the pilot operation and the other on general managers in domestic construction sites. Based on the analysis of the 'struck by an object' accidents and pilot operation, this study proposes a rigging and slinging certificate system to reduce accidents, enhancing safety condition of construction sites. The certificate system was proposed in a way to accommodate working practice of construction sites. Depending on rigging careers and a crane load capacity, riggers are eligible to apply either basic or master certificate which makes difference in the level of rigging works. The safety condition of rigging and slinging work could be substantially enhanced if workers, managers, supervisors, administrators, and policy makers work together consistently.
The orientalism in fashion is believed to develop from the eclectic notion of oriental and occidental fashion. By studying on Gabrielle Chanel's clothing that is usually used by neutral colors and on Yohji Yamamoto's clothing that characterizes clothes in neutral colors, the purpose of this study is to seek ways for remaking Korean traditional clothing into a new modern one to gain a world reputation in terms of clothes. Therefore the study is for exploring the characteristics on the factors of fashion design such as color, line and textile materials with works of Gabrielle Chanel, a famous designer in Western world who has made a black color a popular one for people and works of Yohji Yamamoto, an well-known fashion designer of the East using neutral colors. This study analyzed, from the 2004 S/S to the 2006 F/W, the collection of works published in style.com through the works of Gabrielle Chanel, Yohji Yamamoto, and through the analysis of the visual target. A total of 527 images are used in this paper. Elements of fashion design analysis are lines, colors, and materials. The study reached the conclusion as follows after analyzing the characteristics on clothing with neutral colors of Gabrielle Chanel and Yohji Yamamoto. In case of aesthetic characteristics on the design of Gabrielle Channel, it has expression of feminist, sensual, modern and luxury. It is considered that Gabrielle Channel has a luxury image using a neutral color. Also using simple sleeveless in black and tweed structure, the garments have mixed with neutral colors. Fashion design characteristics on the design of Yohji Yamamoto classified into sensual, modern, ascetic expression. Therefore the design has a simple expression of using a black color. Yohji Yamamoto is a designer who pursues unstructured design by using various neutral colors such as black, gray and white based on the oriental sentiment.
Le Corbusier (1887-1965) is known as a great architect ranking with such master architects as Frank Lloyd Wright and Mies van der Rohe who produced great architectural achievements in an era from the dawning to the maturity of the modem architecture. His works are marked for their peculiarity in expressing his architectural concept as perceived through his artistic sensibility. He has brought the form of his architecture to perfect through the influence of Purism. His architectural concept has instigated him to construct the relations between structure, form and the notion of space through the 'Dom-ino' structural system and the 'Five Principles of the Modem Architecture.' As a result, he has become such an architect as has ripened his works by adopting the 'Modulor' for human measurement. During the decade from 1929 to 1939, he made public the 'Museum of Unlimited Growth' programs in an attempt to give a concrete form to his concept of 'unlimited space' spreading to all directions, which was actually visualized by the constructions of three art museums, located Ahmedabad and Chandigarh in India and Tokyo in Japan. Although a number of researches have so far been publicized on the works and the architectural ideas of Le Corbusier, no systematic research has yet been released on the idea of 'Museum of Unlimited Growth' as a matter of fact. Therefore, this study has set its purpose to grasp the peculiarities of his exhibition space design through an analysis on the characteristics of the 'Museum of Unlimited Growth' so designed as to reflect the concept of a space, which is centrifugally growing. With this purpose in mind, this research is also to suggest how the design of the 'Museum of Unlimited Growth' would influence the modem museum exhibit space. The contents of this study comprise the consideration on the early ideas of Le Corbusier, the typical features of the growing museum and the analysis as well as the integration of his works.
As the expansion of the cultural industry expands, various competitive structures are formed and the methodologies for producing commercial success are being discussed. Among them, Hollywood studios use political relationships and apply ideologies that can produce the best interests. Also, they use a structure that can convey this ideology, which is a mythology. The myth has satisfied the public for a ling time. Campbell suggested that strategies come from the myth, and the ideology emerged as a result of what mythology has to do with existing powers. Disney and Dream Works use the mythology and combine their own values into ideology. Disney and Dream Works choose conflicting ideologies in a different growth background. If Disney is recognized as an educational animation by the ruling class, Dream Works are supported by the public for their actions against Disney. Disney has conservative and patriotic personality, Dream Works is more liberal and progressive. Disney's structure came out first, and Dream Works parodied it. So we can compare Disney and Dream Works with similar myths to create a storytelling structure that embodies ideology. As a result, Disney and Dream Works have been choosing the 9 stages the key of Ideology form the 17 stages of the mythology and reduced them to the introduction, growth and completion. In the first units of the introduction, Disney dealt with the subject of social leaders who sacrificed to the ruling class and Dream Works hinted at the overthrow of the ruling class through the irony. If Disney had deployed colored races in the main characters, Dream Works used a variety of races from the main characters to others. In the second units of growth, Disney organized the process of accepting the value of the ruling class, and Dream Works showed the individual values, not the values of society. In the third units completion, Disney showed the main character who live in the world of the ruling class rebuilded, and Dream Works removed the ruling class and went back to the Individual life. Through the structure of Disney and DreamWorks, we learned how to utilize the mythical structures that transform according to ideologies. The right way to organize works will require the strategic approach to storytelling.

In previous research, we analyzed traffic accident characteristics in the Chungcheong region through factor analysis, cluster analysis, and a questionnaire using traffic accident analysis system data to enhance Korea's traffic safety. Based on the analysis results, we investigated the design and application of traffic safety technology in non-urban areas in this study. Three technologies are proposed to improve traffic safety facilities for the region: a recognition light at pedestrian crossing works, a recognition light on the road for the underprivileged in traffic works, and a safety LED sign for operation of agricultural machine works. Each technology complements the light pollution problem about snow removal and road safety when applied to existing facilities in the non-urban areas. Solar-based indigenous technology is expected to contribute to road safety in rural areas.

The utilization of multiple water sources becomes important due to the master plan for development of water supply released by Ministry of Environment, Korea in 2018. In this study, therefore, the analysis of comprehensive effect in blending applicable water sources in Daesan where 100,000 ㎥/d seawater desalination plant will be constructed for industrial use was performed. The increase in mixing ratio of other water sources with seawater reduced salinity up to 50%, but negatively impacted the turbid and organic matter. Lab-scale reverse osmosis performance test also found that membrane fouling was exacerbated in blended water condition. The simulation results of reverse osmosis indicated 39% energy saving on average is expected at the one-to-one blending ratio, however, long-term performance test at the pilot-scale plant is highly required to evaluate the inclusive impact of mixing seawater and other water sources.
The visual expression of deconstructive graphic design influenced by postmodernism differs from the traditional ways of graphic expression that consist of precise images and text and is challenging and highly experimental. The characteristics of the formative nature of such deconstructive graphic design emphasized the importance of the reader as the principal agent of aesthetic experience in the appreciation of works. For this study, a new ideological framework was developed regarding the ambiguity arising due to visual experimentation in deconstructive graphic design, assuming the central theory to be the Reception Theory (Aesthetics of Reception) centering around the recipient who is the reader. The characteristics of Iser's Reception Theory are substituted as a theoretical category and an interpretation of the works of ambiguity in deconstructive graphic design is carried out. Although Aesthetics of Reception is a literary theory about the interaction between the artist and the reader, as a method for interpreting deconstructive graphic design influenced by postmodernism, it laid a theoretical foundation and enriched the interpretation of works. Moreover, the four characteristics of Iser's Reception Theory were used to create a framework that suggested a new direction for the approach based on the reader's interaction in the process of interpreting works of modern graphic design.
