평생교육을 통한 중소기업 근로자의 직무만족에 관한 연구 (A Study on Job Satisfaction Through Lifelong Education for Small & Medium Businesses Workers)

  • 본 연구는 중소기업 근로자가 평생교육참여 특성에 따른 직무만족도를 비교분석 하여 효율적인 평생교육 프로그램의 개발과 근로자들의 직무능력의 향상으로 직무 만족을 높이는데 있다. 직무만족은 20대가 40대보다 인센티브, 능력발전, 인적자원관리전체에서 높게 나타났고 조직 몰입도는 20~30대의 젊은 직장인들이 40~50대의 직장인들에 비해 직무만족도가 높게 나타났으며, 근무 년 수에서도 5년 미만의 군이 다른 근무 년 수 군에 비해 인센티브, 능력 발전, 인적자원관리전체가 유의하게 더 높게, 직급에 따른 직무만족도 차이에서는 하위직급이 상위직급보다 높게 나타났다. 따라서, 근로자의 직무만족도를 제고하여 기업의 경쟁력 강화와 근로자의 삶의 가치가 향상시키도록 노력해야 할 것이다.

Difficulties Faced by Working Mothers and Potential Solutions to these Problems: A Survey of Nursing Personnel in a Korean Teaching Hospital

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify difficulties that working mothers face and solutions to the identified problems. Methods: The study design was a cross-sectional, descriptive survey. A survey with 8 items rated on a 5-point scale (1~5) and 5 open-ended questions was administered to 48 married nurses and nurse aides working in 5 nursing units of a teaching hospital in South Korea in April 2013. Results: The score of satisfaction with childrearing patterns (mean=$3.31{\pm}0.79$) was higher than that of satisfaction with spousal support (mean=$3.08{\pm}0.85$). The score of working mother's turnover intention (mean=$2.40{\pm}1.03$) was lowest among the 8 items, but partners did not want their wives to quit work (mean=$3.60{\pm}1.22$). Satisfaction with company employment benefits for childrearing (mean=$2.90{\pm}0.72$) had the lowest score among the 4 satisfaction types analyzed. The turnover intention and satisfactions with childrearing (r=-.51, p<.001), spousal support (r=-.43, p=.002), supervisor's support (r=-.36, p=.013), and company benefits (r=-.37, p=.009) showed significant negative correlations. Conclusion: According to these results, familial support for childrearing is highly correlated with employed mothers' turnover intention. So improvement of familial support for childrearing will reduce married nurses' turnover intention. In addition, well-organized nursery facilities are recommended for enabling working mothers to continue their careers. Furthermore, more family-friendly welfare policies such as a flextime systems or compulsory paternity leave should be reinforced in the workplace.

4차 산업혁명 시대에서의 국가기록관리 현실과 전망: 클라우드 기록관리시스템 운영을 중심으로 (The Task and View of National Archive System in the Fourth Industrial Revolution Era: Cloud Record Management System)

  • 본 연구는 기록관리 현장에서 클라우드 기록관리시스템을 구축 운영하면서 발생한 문제점을 분석하고 개선방안을 제시하였다. 클라우드 기록관리시스템은 다음과 같은 문제점을 가지고 있다. 법제도의 변화 없이 시스템 변화만 이뤄진 상태이고, 클라우드 기술의 장점을 전혀 활용하지 못하고 있다. 또한 시스템 도입 이후의 변화는 전혀 고민하지 않고 있다. 이를 해결하기 위해서 3가지 개선방안을 제시하였다. 첫 번째, 법제도 정비와 관련하여 기록관리 단위(기록철-기록건 구조)의 다양화, 기록의 접근제한 재검토를 제시하였다. 두 번째 종이문서 기반의 현행 업무프로세스 개선을 통한 시스템 재설계를 제시하였다. 세 번째, 범정부적으로 발생하는 기록관리 현안을 해결하기 위해 국가기록원의 적극적인 대응 및 거버넌스 기구 설치를 제안하였다.

중환자실 간호사가 인식한 병원 내 중환자 이송 현황 조사 (Intrahospital Transport of Critically Ill Patients: Critical Care Nurses' Perceptions)

  • Purpose : This study aimed to identify the status of intrahospital transport (IHT) of critically ill patients and provide baseline data to form recommendations for safer transport. Methods : Data were collected from 141 intensive care unit (ICU) nurses who attended national conferences between February and August, 2018. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and ANOVA, and post-hoc analysis was conducted with the Scheffé and Games-Howell tests. Results : Of the nurses surveyed, 61.7% answered that their workplace had a transport guideline. In terms of the experience of ICU nurses, 31.2% of respondents answered that they had received training on IHT. This result indicated that the degree of implementation of the guidelines for IHT was generally high, but some, including guidelines on personnel, equipment, and monitoring, were not. Guidelines of IHT were well observed when the institutes had specific guidelines for IHT of critically ill patients with specified transport grades, a scoring system to assess stability of a patient, a checklist and a protocol for action in case of problems, and when healthcare providers were provided with training. Conclusion : These results suggest that organized infrastructure, such as a transport guideline with transport grades, a checklist to improve the implementation of guidelines, and a protocol for coping with a problem, should be provided for safe transport. Additionally, effective education and evaluation to improve the competency of staff participating in the transport of patients will help reduce the occurrence of adverse events in intensive care transport in hospitals and promote patient safety.

Global Policy Responses to the COVID-19 Pandemic: Results of the ICOH Survey

  • Background: On the basis of its role for the development of occupational health research, information, good practices, the International Commission on Occupational Health (ICOH) launched the present survey to collect information on public health and prevention policies put in place by the governments of the countries in the world to contain the pandemic. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted through an online questionnaire focused on COVID-19 data, public health policies, prevention measures, support measures for economy, work, and education, personal protective equipment, intensive care units, contact tracing, return to work, and the role of ICOH against COVID-19. The questionnaire was administered to 113 ICOH National Secretaries and senior OSH experts. Collected data refer to the period ranging from the beginning of the pandemic in each country to June 30, 2020. Results: A total of 73 questionnaires from 73 countries around the world were considered valid, with a 64.6% response rate. Most of the respondents (71.2%) reported that the state of emergency was declared in their country, and 86.1% reported lockdown measures. Most of the respondents (66.7%) affirmed that the use of face masks was compulsory in their country. As for containment measures, 97.2% indicated that mass gatherings (meetings) were limited. Regarding workplace closing, the most affected sector was entertainment (90.1%). Conclusion: The results of this survey are useful to gain a global view on COVID-19 policy responses at country level.

심혈관질환 위험인자를 가진 중소규모 사업장 남성 근로자의 모바일헬스 앱 활용 건강파트너십 프로그램의 효과: 무작위 실험연구 (Effects of a Health Partnership Program Using Mobile Health Application for Male Workers with Cardiovascular Risk Factors in Small and Medium Enterprises: A Randomized Controlled Trial)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to apply a health partnership program using commercially available mobile health apps to improve cardiovascular risk factors in male employees and verify its effectiveness. Methods: Using a randomized control group pretest-posttest design, male employees with cardiovascular risk factors from five small and medium-sized workplaces were randomly assigned to an experimental group (n = 32) and a control group (n = 31). The experimental group was encouraged to use three mobile health apps for 12 weeks to acquire the necessary cardiovascular disease-related information and practice strengthening training, walking, and diet management appropriate to their level. They also received feedback on their weekly activities and motivational text messages from health partners. Hypotheses were tested using the SPSS WIN 22.0. Results: The experimental group showed a significant difference compared to the control group in terms of their perception of mobile health app (p < .05), self-efficacy for exercise and diet, self-management partnership, and cardiovascular disease prevention health behavior (p < .001). In particular, there were significant decreases in the body mass index, ratio, serum fasting blood sugar, total cholesterol, and triglyceride in the experimental group (p < .001); however, there was no significant difference in high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol. Conclusion: Intervention using mobile apps based on partnership with health managers is effective in improving the objective cardiovascular risk index in male employees; therefore, such intervention should be continuously used as a useful lifestyle modification strategy in the workplace.

서울시내 건축물 석면해체·제거 사업장 및 주변에서의 공기 중 석면농도 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Characteristics of Airborne Asbestos Concentrations at Demolition Sites and Surrounding Areas of Asbestos Containing Buildings in Seoul)

  • 본 연구에서는 석면해체 제거작업에 따른 작업자 및 주변 환경에 미치는 영향 등을 파악하기 위해 서울시내 건축물 석면해체 제거 사업장을 대상으로 공기 중 석면농도를 조사하고, 측정결과가 "석면안전관리법"에서 명시된 사업장 주변의 석면배출허용기준에 적합한지를 살펴보았다. 서울시내 총 37개소 석면해체 제거 사업장에서 총 288개의 공기 중 시료를 분석하였으며, 전체 288개 시료 중 101개 시료에서(35%) 검출한계($7fiber/mm^2$) 이하로 나타났다. 이 때 전체 공기 중 석면농도 평균값은 $0.003{\pm}0.002f/cc$로(최대 0.013 f/cc) 대부분의 공기 중 석면농도는 "석면안전관리법"에서 명시된 사업장 주변의 석면배출허용기준 0.01 f/cc 이하로 나타나 서울시내 건축물 석면해체 제거 사업장에서의 석면 노출가능성은 우려할 수준이 아닌 것으로 판단된다. 채취지점별로 살펴보면, 부지경계선(148개), 위생설비입구(25개), 작업장주변(실내)(7개), 작업장주변(실외)(11개)에 대한 공기 중 석면농도 결과, 각각 53개(36%), 5개(20%), 1개(14%), 4개(36%) 시료에서 검출한계 이하로 나타났으며 평균농도는 각각 $0.002{\pm}0.002f/cc$(최대 0.008 f/cc), $0.004{\pm}0.002f/cc$(최대 0.009 f/cc), $0.004{\pm}0.002f/cc$(최대 0.007 f/cc), $0.004{\pm}0.002f/cc$로(최대 0.008 f/cc) 나타났다. 또한 음압기(13개), 폐기물보관지점(27개), 폐기물반출구(9개), 거주자주거지역(48개)에 대한 공기 중 석면농도 결과, 각각 3개(23%), 8개(30%), 2개(22%), 25개(52%) 시료에서 검출한계 이하로 나타났으며 평균농도는 각각 $0.004{\pm}0.002f/cc$(최대 0.009 f/cc), $0.005{\pm}0.004f/cc$(최대 0.013 f/cc), $0.005{\pm}0.003f/cc$(최대 0.009 f/cc), $0.003{\pm}0.002f/cc$0로(최대 0.009 f/cc) 나타났다.

우리나라 특수건강진단 대상물질에 대한 6개 기관의 직업적 노출 기준 비교 (Comparison of Occupational Exposure Limits in Six Agencies for Hazardous Substances Related Workers' Periodic Health Examination in South Korea)

  • Objectives: This study was performed in order to compare the average levels and similarity of occupational exposure limits in South Korea, the U.S., the E.U., Germany, Japan and Finland. Methods: In this study, occupational exposure limits (OELs) for one hundred and seventy seven hazardous substances which are managed in the workplace by the Occupational Safety and Health Act in South Korea were matched with those of other countries. The units for the exposure limits of the same substance (identical CAS number) were unified and the exposure limits in each country were compared with threshold limit values (TLVs) of the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH) using a geometric mean method. Geometric similarity was calculated to assess the association by each country. Results: The exposure limits according to ACGIH TLVs in South Korea, the E.U., Germany, Japan, and Finland were 148, 37, 76, 90, and 110, respectively. When using TLVs of ACGIH as a standard, the geometric mean ratios of Germany, Finland, the E.U., South Korea, and Japan were 0.79, 0.80, 0.82, 1.19, and 1.27, respectively. Geometric similarity with TLVs of ACGIH was highest in South Korea (0.75) followed by Japan (0.56), the E.U. (0.52), Finland (0.50), and Germany (0.46). Conclusions: Through the comparison of levels of OELs and similarities among South Korea, the U.S., the E.U., Germany, Japan, and Finland, we could better understand the characteristics of occupational exposure limits by country.
