직선가이드프레스 구동부의 최적화 (Optimization of the Dirve for Lineaer-Guide Press)

  • This paper is concerned with the optimization of the drive for linear-guide press which is one of mechanical presses. The design of linear-guide drive for a mechanical press is introduced and the drive for the linear-guide press is optimized for the improvement of load and velocity characteristics. As a result of optimization, the load capacity during stroke increases and the slide velocity decreases in working region, respectively. The new design could be suited to many applications in precision forming such as extrusion and the sheet metal-forming processes.

Seismic experiment and analysis of rectangular bottom strengthened steel-concrete composite columns

  • In order to study the working mechanism of rectangular steel-concrete composite columns subjected to compression-bending load and further determine the seismic performance index, a bottom strengthened rectangular steel reinforced concrete (SRC) column with concealed steel plates and a bottom strengthened rectangular concrete filled steel tube (CFST) columns were proposed. Six column models with different configurations were tested under horizontal low cyclic loading. Based on the experiments, the load-bearing capacity, stiffness and degradation process, ductility, hysteretic energy dissipation capacity, and failure characteristics of the models were analyzed. The load-bearing capacity calculation formulas for a normal section and an oblique section of bottom strengthened rectangular steel-concrete composite columns were pesented and a finite element (FE) numerical simulation of the classical specimens was performed. The study shows that the load-bearing capacity, ductility, and seismic energy dissipation capacity of the bottom strengthened rectangular steel-concrete composite columns are significantly improved compared to the conventional rectangular steel-concrete composite columns and the results obtained from the calculation and the FE numerical simulation are in good agreement with those from the experiments. The rectangular steel-concrete composite column with bottom strengthened shows better seismic behavior and higher energy dissipation capacity under suitable constructional requirements and it can be applied to the structure design of high-rise buildings.

작업기억의 개인차: 무관련 정보 억제의 차이 (Individual Differences in Working Memory: Inhibition of Irrelevant Information)

  • 작업기억의 읽기 범위에 따른 개인차가 무관련 정보의 억제과정에 작용하는 과정을 살펴보기 위해서 두 개의 독립적인 실험을 실시하였다. 실험 1은 탐사재인과제을 사용하였으며 작업기억 범위가 작은 폭 집단에 비해 큰 폭 집단에서 관련정보의 촉진적 활성화 기제보다는 무관련 정보의 선택적 억제기제가 잘 작동한다는 결과를 얻었다. 실험 2의 어휘판단과제에서도 동일한 결과를 보였으며 두 실험 모두 큰 폭 집단이 작은 폭 집단에 비해 기억부담의 영향을 받지 않는다는 공통된 결과를 얻었다. 이러한 결과는 억제가 작업기억 개인차를 설명하는 중요한 요인임을 시사해준다.

Energy-efficient Multicast Algorithm for Survivable WDM Networks

  • In recent years, multicast services such as high-definition television (HDTV), video conferencing, interactive distance learning, and distributed games have increased exponentially, and wavelength-division multiplexing (WDM) networks are considered to be a promising technology due to their support for multicast applications. Multicast survivability in WDM networks has been the focus of extensive attention since a single-link failure in an optical network may result in a massive loss of data. But the improvement of network survivability increases energy consumption due to more resource allocation for protection. In this paper, an energy-efficient multicast algorithm (EEMA) is proposed to reduce energy consumption in WDM networks. Two cost functions are defined based on the link state to determine both working and protection paths for a multicast request in WDM networks. To increase the number of sleeping links, the link cost function of the working path aims to integrate new working path into the links with more working paths. Sleeping links indicate the links in sleep mode, which do not have any working path. To increase bandwidth utilization by sharing spare capacity, the cost function of the protection path is defined to use sleeping fibers for establishing new protection paths. Finally, the performance of the proposed algorithm is evaluated in terms of energy consumption, and also the blocking probability is evaluated under various traffic environments through OPNET. Simulation results show that our algorithm reduces energy consumption while maintaining the quality of service.

The Effects of Psychological Climate Factors on Job Performance in Joint-Stock Commercial Banks in Vietnam

  • This research identifies the main factors of the psychological climate that directly affect the performance of banking employees in Vietnam. Besides, this research also takes into consideration the differences in gender, age, educational level, and income on working performance. A survey was obtained from 207 employees working at joint-stock commercial banks and the analysis was handled with SPSS 20 software supports. The result shows that the measurement scales meet the requirements of validity and reliability. Regression analysis demonstrates that there are four factors directly affecting the working performance: friendliness, personal development and learning opportunities, straight and open communication, and the support from the senior management. These four factors have created a healthy psychological climate in the banks, where employees will feel comfortable and happy to improve work performance. Furthermore, this research has found that the higher the income, the more efficiently employees will work. The results of this research contribute to the measurement scale of working environment factors. At the same time, this research also proposes some recommendations for organizational managers to build a reasonable working environment that can inspire a sense of mental comfort for employees to work at their full capacity and to achieve the highest performance.

  • The live line working is inherently dangerous as the workers have to work under the risk of electrical shock and most of works are carried out at height. The live line working need the some specific techniques and higher level safety measures such as a risk assessment to carry out works safely, but the electrical construction companies performed live-line working are usually small-sized companies. They have less capacity to have own safety management system. This study intended to conduct an in-depth analysis on the cause of electric shock accidents to provide basic data for policy proposing taking into considering the past eleven years for a long-term plan. And the aim of this study is to propose the policy about the equipment performance standards and/or worker's safety standards to revise the standards for preventing electric shock accidents, moreover, co-relation of the electrical work order form and on safety workings, especially electrical construction company/work.

  • The purpose of This study is focused on the directions to improve the performance evaluation of cooks working in the primary school by searching for present job satisfaction and job description. Most of the employees' are women-cook and there were no man-cook in school feeding. This fact indicates that the foods which serving by school are not properly developed for the direction of taste and menu variations in the future. Most of married housewives were dissatisfied with long working hours, short break-time, dirty toilet, and other working conditions. And they were also complained of limited job performance in spite of their capacity and knowhow. In order to solve above-mentioned problems, School feeding is, needless to say, very important meal-program for the children and nations, therefore, The authorities concerned give much attention to solve their needs gradually. A real custom that help employees will conducted for the satisfaction of students, If so, really good quality of food service to younger students will be realized.

N$_2$와 CF$_4$ 혼합물을 작동유체로 하는 극저온 열사이펀에 대한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Investigation on the Cryogenic Thermosiphon Using N$_2$ and CF$_4$ Mixture as the Working Fluid)

  • A thermosiphon is utilized as a thermal shunt to reduce the cool-down time of a cryogenic system cooled by a two stage cryocooler. The cool-down time reduction by the thermosiphon is determined by the type of working fluid which is directly related to the operating temperature range of the thermosiphon. A mixed working fluid has a potential to widen the operation temperature range of the thermosipohon. In this study, the thermosiphon using N$_2$ and CF$_4$ mixture as the working fluid is fabricated and tested to verify its transient heat transfer performance. The thermosiphon with the mixed working fluid has no noticeable reduction of cool-down time compared with that of the thermosiphon with pure working fluid in this experiment. However, it seems that the thermosiphon with mixed working fluid may have an advantage according to the cooling capacity of a cryocooler, the cooling target temperature and the size of a cooling object.

  • With substitution with a delicate turn-tree instead of a long permanent cross-tree that is usally located on the derrick post, it is possible to get a large working range of the slewing angle 240 degree and also to decrease the slewing time of the derrick boom, comparing to the exisiting cargo gear system which has the same capacity of slewing winch.

대학도서관 팀제의 유효성 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Evaluation of Team Effectiveness in University Libraries)

  • 이용자와 서비스환경의 변화에 대한 대응방안의 하나로 대학도서관에 점차 팀제 도입이 증가하고 있다. 본 연구는 대학도서관에 도입된 팀제의 유효성 평가를 통해 효율적인 팀제적용 방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 연구결과, 팀제의 유효성 평가에 있어 직급과 근무기간별 차이가 큰 것으로 조사되었으며, 커뮤니케이션의 활성화와 팀제 수용능력이 유효성에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 조사되었다. 따라서, 팀제 도입에 따른 유효성을 극대화하기 위해서는 목표설정과 갈등해소에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 팀내 및 팀간 커뮤니케이션 활성화 방안의 마련과 팀제 수용능력의 향상을 통해 대학도서관의 특성과 목적에 적합한 팀제 모델이 제시될 필요가 있다.
