Business process in e-government mostly embody as the flow of documents. Constructing a web-based document flow system becomes an critical task for today s digital government. But few of them use an off-the-shelf workflow product. Why? One of the reasons is that most of the workflow system are heavyweight, monolithic, and package a comprehensive set of features in an all-or-nothing manner. Another reason is that workflow technology lacks the constructs and modeling capability as programming language. It is incumbent on government IT organizations to transform their solution development to component-based computing model. Component technology isolates the computation and communication parts, but how to compose different software components is still a hard nut. An integrated development environment is necessary for CBSD. In this paper we propose a XML and component-based document flow-oriented integrated development environment (DFoIDE) for software developers. By writing some xml configure file, and operate on DFoIDE, developer can construct a workflow application quickly. This method divides system to several components and the activities in process are implemented as business component. Different components are discribed detailedly in this paper, especially one of the core component. Component Integrating Tool. Different perspectives in workflow application are seperated and depicted as different XML files. Correspondly, A component composition method for developing workflow application instead of workflow itself is proposed.

그리드 환경에서 워크플로우 프로세스 단위 기반의 애플리케이션 컨텐츠는 특정한 문제 해결을 위한 실질적인 작업이며, 그리드 자원에 분산 배포되고 서로 연관되어 실행되기 때문에 협업 환경을 구성하는 것은 매우 중요한 부분이다. 그리고 대부분의 협업은 워크플로우를 통하여 구체화되고, 그리드 환경에서 협업처리를 위한 미들웨어로는 Globus toolkit이 대표적이다. 하지만 이 미들웨어는 그리드 환경 구축을 위한 기본 서비스들만을 제공하고, 협업을 할 수 있는 워크플로우 생성, 작업 스케줄링, 프로세스 단위 기반의 애플리케이션 관리 같은 부분은 적용되지 않는다. 또한 Globus Toolkit은 대형화된 그리드 커뮤니티 구성에는 적합하나, 소규모 대다수가 특정한 운영 체제로 구성된 대형화된 그리드 커뮤니티 구성에는 적합하지 않고, 소규모 대다수가 특정한 운영체제로 구성된 그리드 커뮤니티 구성에는 부적합하다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 그리드 환경에서 소규모 협업 처리에 효율적인 워크플로우 프로세스 단위 기반의 애플리케이션 배포 시스템을 제안한다. 이 시스템은 애플리케이션 배포, 그리드 커뮤니티에 구성된 자원관리 등의 역할을 통해 효율적인 협업 환경을 지원한다. 또한 워크플로우 프로세스 단위 기반의 애플리케이션간 연관 관계 사전을 만들어 협업에 필요한 애플리케이션간의 정보 및 연관 관계를 표현하여 애플리케이션을 배포하는 기반 정보로도 활용한다.

본 논문에서는 워크플로우 프로세스 재발견 문제를 해결하기 위한 적절한 해결책으로 워크플로우 최적 축소 모델을 제안한다. 워크플로우 최적 축소 모델은 워크플로우 최적 축소 넷으로 표현할 수 있다. ICN(Information Control Net) 모델링 기법으로 표현되는 프로세스 모델은 ICN을 구성하고 있는 액티비티 사이의 액티비티 의존성에 따라 적절한 알고리즘의 적용으로 액티비티 의존 넷을 구성할 수 있다. 워크플로우 최적 넷 또한 액티비티 의존 넷의 몇 가지 속성에 대한 알고리즘 적용으로 찾아낼 수 있으며, 찾아낸 워크플로우 최적 넷을 프로세스 재발견 문제를 해결하기 위한 방안으로 제안하며, 프로세스 개선에도 의미를 둘 수 있다.

A Workflow Management System is one which provides procedural automation of a business process by management of the sequence of work activities. The existing workflow management systems have limitation of interaction among application systems. In this paper, we propose a new workflow management system that can be adapted in dynamically changed paradigm of distributed computing by using Web Service. System Architecture and prototyping execution model of the system is described in BPEL4WS.

본 논문에서는 워크플로우 관리 시스템의 빌드타임 기능에 속하는 모델링 시스템을 다중 에이전트 기반으로 구현하였다. 본 논문에서 제안된 다중 에이전트 기반 워크플로우 모델링 시스템은 클라이언트의 경량을 위하여 자바를 이용하였으며, 프로세스 정의에 필요한 세션, 조직, 관련데이터, 응용프로그램 속성들을 별도의 에이전트로 구성하였다 또한, 프로세스 정의를 위한 모델은 ICN(Information Control Net)을 이용하여 작성된 모델의 문법(syntax)를 검증하였으며, 타 워크플로우 엔진과의 연동을 위하여 WfMC에서 정의된 인터페이스 형태인 WPDL로 import/export할 수 있는 기능을 제공한다.

제품라인공학 기반의 융합소프트웨어 개발 방법론에서는 어플리케이션 개발을 위해 아키텍처 모델을 제안하고 있다. 그리고 명세를 이용하여 제어컴포넌트를 개발하도록 제안하는데 워크플로우는 트랜잭션을 주로 처리하는 어플리케이션 개발을 위해 제안되었다. 제품라인 공학 기반의 소프트웨어 개발이 효과를 발휘하기 위해서는 도구의 지원이 반드시 필요하다. 하지만 기존의 워크플로우 모델링 도구들은 제품라인 공학개념을 지원하지 않기 때문에 워크플로우 기반의 제품라인 소프트웨어 개발을 지원할 수 있는 도구의 개발이 필요했다. 본 논문에서는 워크플로우 기반의 제품라인 소프트웨어 개발을 지원하기 위해서 개발된 도구를 소개하고 개발된 도구의 활용 가능성을 확인하기 위해서 간단한 활용예제를 소개한다.

In this paper, we propose a multi-layered architecture of workflow management systems based on CORBA (Common Object Request Broker Architecture). The system aims to support product development processes in distributed environment. Many companies have started to adopt workflow management systems to manage and support their business processes. However, there are many problems in direct application of those systems to product development environments. These mainly resulted from the dynamic features of product development processes. It is strongly required to support dynamic processes as well as static and procedural ones in an integrated and consistent manner. To meet these requirements, a basic workflow management system has been developed as the core component of the integrated architecture. This performs the basic functions of workflow management system. Second, a dynamic workflow management system based on a bidding mechanism has been developed to manage processes that cannot be easily defined or are likely to be modified, Finally, an SGML workflow management system, which is the third layer in the architecture, has been developed to manage documents processing workflows by integration SGML documents contents and process information into the structured SGML document.

Collaborative product commerce(CPC) involves many people working together with heterogeneous and distributed software applications. For such an environment, Workflow Management System(WFMS) can be useful for coordination of people, software agents and processes. It provides diverse services including automatic work muting, project management continuous process improvement and application integration. However, there are some limitations to apply WFMS to CPC environment due to inflexibility and lack of design support facilities. This paper identifies the problems and addresses possible approaches to overcome the difficulties.

본 논문에서는 분산 트랜잭션 워크플로우 모니터링 시스템의 설계 및 구현에 관하여 기술한다. 워크플로우 인스턴스들의 실행 상태 관리를 주요 목적으로 하는 전통적인 워크플로우 시스템의 모니터링 기능은 워크플로우의 초대형화와 트랜잭션화를 특징으로 하는 분산형 트랜잭션 워크플로우 시스템에서는 워크플로우의 처리 상태 관리뿐만 아니라 구조적인 정보의 수집, 통계 정보 제공, 사용자들의 처리 상태 정보 등과 같은 다양한 부가적인 정보 처리 및 관리 기능을 제공하는 분산형 모니터링 서비스를 필요로 한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 분산형 트랜잭션 워크플로우 시스템에서 필수적으로 요구되는 새로운 워크플로우 모니터링의 특징을 확장 정의하고, 이를 지원하는 점 기반의 분산 트랜잭션 워크플로우 모니터링 시스템의 상세 설계 및 이의 구현 방안을 소개한다.

본 논문에서는 워크플로우와 워크플로우 관리 시스템을 프로그래밍 언어 관점에서 분석하였다. 워크플로우 관련 데이터, 워크플로우 제어 구조 그리고 응용 프로그램 기동 등 많은 워크플로우 특성이 분산 병렬 프로그램의 해당 항목과 비교되었다. 그 결과 비록 사소한 차이는 존재하였지만 놀랍게도 그들간에는 많은 유사성이 존재함을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 관찰에 근거하여 본 논문에서는 워크플로우 관리 시스템을 분산 병렬 프로그램 개발 플랫폼으로 조망하는 것을 제안하였다. 워크플로우 관리 시스템에 관한 이러한 새로운 조망을 통하여 워크플로우 시스템 사용자는 보다 일관성 있는 관점에서 워크플로우를 바라볼 수 있으며 워크플로우 관리 시스템 설계자는 워크플로우 시스템 설계의 일관성을 유지하면서 워크플로우 시스템에 대한 다양한 요구에 대응할 수 있게 된다. 또한 본 논문에서 제시한 워크플로우와 프로그램의 유사성은 워크플로우와 관련된 많은 분석 기법의 개발에 이미 개발된 프로그램 분석기법을 원용 할 수 있는 논리적 기반을 제공한다.
