어린이집 교사의 개인변인과 기관변인에 따른 직업행복감 연구 (A Study on Childcare Teacher's Career Happiness according to Personal and Organizational Variables)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the condition of career happiness according to personal and organizational variables of childcare teachers. Methods: For this purpose, a total of 1,035 teachers were surveyed. The validity of the career happiness survey tool was examined through previous research, expert review, and factor analysis. Results: The results of the study are as follows. The individual variables influencing career happiness of childcare teachers were mainly age, and there was a difference in the career happiness of teachers over 40 years old and teachers under 29 years old. Second, the teachers at home daycare centers showed a high level of interpersonal relationships and working hours. The teachers at workplace daycare centers have a good balance between work and life, and teachers at corporate group daycare centers have a high sense of happiness about income. The childcare teacher's career happiness was generally higher than infant teachers, and the support of the assistant teacher had an effect on the career Happiness of the teachers. Conclusion/Implications: The results suggest that separate teacher support is needed to increase the career happiness of teachers according to their age and institutional variables.

소방공무원의 임파워먼트와 가족기능이 우울에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Empowerment and Family Function on the Depression of Firefighters)

  • 본 연구는 소방공무원의 임파워먼트와 가족기능 수준이 우울에 미치는 영향을 알아봄으로써 소방공무원의 우울에 관한 예방 차원의 실천 방안을 마련하는데 도움을 주고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 경기지역 소방공무원 351명을 대상으로 유의표집 방식으로 조사하였다. 조사결과, 소방공무원의 우울에 임파워먼트와 가족기능이 모두 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과를 토대로, 소방공무원의 정신건강 예방을 위해 내적 대처자원으로서 각 개인의 임파워먼트를 적용해 볼 수 있는 가능성을 보여주었다는 점과 소방공무원 가정의 가족기능을 강화하기 위한 다양한 대안이 필요하며, 가족의 건강성 회복을 이끌어내기 위해 예방차원의 효과적인 '일과 삶의 균형' 정책의 적극적 도입과 지원을 제안하였다.

가족친화인증제도 검토를 위한 미인증기업의 가족친화문화 사례연구 (A case study on the family-friendly culture of non-certified firms for a family-friendly certification system improvement)

  • This qualitative case study explored seven non-certified firms' family-friendly cultures and their responses to the family-friendly certification through interviews with the human resources managers. The results from the data analysis revealed within firm's differences and a gap among those firms. In addition, their responses to the family-friendly certification were classified into three categories: a positive group, indifference group, and negative group. From the results of the firms' various family-friendly cultures and the firms' various responses to the family-friendly certification, we suggested several issues on the family-friendly certification system's improvement and the government's management and supervision of the legal requirement to ensure workers' work-life balance and the firm's autonomy plan for its' own family-friendly culture.

Relationship between Stress Level and Reworks for Construction Professionals

  • This paper presents a study investigating the relationship between stress level and reworks for construction professionals. As employees' work-life balance (WLB) becomes more important nowadays, controlling the level of stress in the workplace becomes more important as occupational stress has negative impacts on WLB. Reworks can be one severe occupational stressor as people suffer from stress when they need to redo their works. This study hypothesizes that there is a positive correlation between reworks and level of stress, meaning that people tend to show high level of stress when they need to redo their works. The hypothesis will be tested by checking the stress level when engineers redo their works because of changes or errors. An electroencephalography (EEG) sensor will be used to measure the stress level of engineers when they redo their works. For more accurate measure of stress, the stress level will also be measured by the galvanic skin response (GSR). This experiment is expected to prove that rework process is a severe stressor for construction professionals, which will contribute to lower productivity and poorer WLB. The finding will emphasize the importance of managing reworks in the construction industry, which will eventually help construction managers to control the level of employees' stress successfully.

토픽모델링 기법을 활용한 산업별 직무만족요인 비교 조사 : 잡플래닛 리뷰를 중심으로 (Comparative Analysis of Job Satisfaction Factors, Using LDA Topic Modeling by Industries : The Case Study of Job Planet Reviews)

  • As unemployment rates and concerns about turnover keep growing, the need for information is also increasing. In these situations, the job reviews which share information about the company catch people's attention because they are usually created by people who worked at the company. The development of SNS and mobile environments has led to an increase in the web services that provide job reviews. For example, Jobplanet is a job review service in Korea, and Glassdoor.com offers a similar service in the US. Despite this attention, however, research utilizing job reviews is insufficient. This paper asks whether there are differences in ratios of job satisfaction factors by industry, using LDA topic modeling and co-occurrence analysis to explore the differences. Through the results of LDA, we find that the ratios of job satisfaction factors are similar by industry. At the same time, the results of co-occurrence analysis show that the co-occurrence frequency of some job satisfaction factors appears high: pay and welfare, balance of work and life, company culture. We expect that the result of this research will be helpful in comparative analysis of job satisfaction factors by industry. Furthermore, in this paper we suggest how to use the job review data in organizational behavior research.

  • 최근 현대인들은 많은 업무와 학업으로 인한 좌식 생활의 빈도가 증가하면서 잘못된 자세와 잘못된 습관으로 인해 습관성 척추-골반 질병이 많이 발생하고 있다. 따라서 이를 방지하고 지속적인 바른 자세를 유도하기 위해서는 착석 정보를 기반으로 자세정보를 판단하여 유도할 수 있는 시스템이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 자세안정도를 평가하기 위하여 추적 계측할 수 있는 장비의 개발과 잘못된 자세가 검출될 시에는 사용자에게 알려주어 실시간 모니터링을 통해 스스로 자세를 교정하는데 도움을 주는 어플리케이션의 구현에 대해 기술하였다.

농촌마을 환경색채 미도(美度)와 선호도 관계 및 적용성 연구 (Aesthetic-Measure, and Visual Preference of Environmental Colors in Korea Rural Town)

  • Pro-environmental life styles, foundations of a collective civilization and preservation of our tradition at rural communities hold a great public profit value, of which importance has been strongly emphasized during last decade. Here, the environmental color is one of the most influential elements that determine the image of the rural landscape. Whenever an alternative color element is introduced to rural town, it is very important to examine its effect on the existing environmental color. Typically, a preference-surveying method has been used to evaluate the suitability of such environmental color balance. However, we note that the reliability of this method is limited by the subjectivity of a respondent. And thus, it is highly desirable to develop a more objective method. We propose a feasibility study for using an aesthetic-measure to evaluate the environmental color of a rural town. In this work, we looked into the validity of our approach by comparing its result with that of the preference-based-method as a way to determine the environmental color. Our study is based on 20 photo images from Ansung-city Yangsung-myeon Donghang 2ri Kyo-dong town in Kyongki Province.

경력 간호사의 이직의도에 대한 주관성 연구 (Attitude of nurses to turnover: A Q-methodological approach)

  • Purpose: This study explored the attitudes and characteristics of nurse turnover using Q-method. Method: The Q-population was organized through in-depth interviews with nine nurses. A total of 43 Q-samples were selected from the 126 Q-population, and 30 nurses sorted the 43 statements using the principle of forced normal distribution. The PC-QUNAL program was used for Q-factor analysis. Result: Eight turnover attitude types of nurses were found: Professional pride-oriented, Seeking recognition within the organization, Perseverance, Egocentric calculation, Reality complacency, Seeking Work-life-balance, Interpersonal dependence, and Seeking justification. Conclusion: The findings of this study can serve as the basis to understand nurses' turnover attitudes and can aid in developing nursing management strategies to increase nurse retention.

경상남도 간호사의 직장선택, 직무수행의 어려움, 이직의도에 영향을 미치는 요인 (A Study on Factors Affecting the Workplace Selection, Job Performance Difficulties, and Turnover Intention of Nurses in Gyeongsangnam-do)

  • Purpose: This study aims to provide primary data for policy alternatives by identifying the problem of the nursing workforce shortage. Methods: For quantitative data, 446 questionnaires were analyzed. The mean and standard deviation were used for content description. ANOVA analysis and Scheffe? test were used to compare the differences according to the hospital level. For qualitative data, 1:1 in-depth and group interviews were conducted for six participants. Results: The factors nurses prioritized when choosing a workplace were salary, commuting distance, and work-life balance. Clinical nurses cited low wages, heavy workloads, and burnout as the most considerable difficulties in performing their duties. Factors influencing nurse's turnover intention were low wages, unmanageable workload, and rotation to unwanted departments in that order. New nurses tend not to apply to small-medium-sized hospitals, experienced nurses in their 30s-40s leave hospitals due to childcare and shift work difficulties, and nurses in their 50s and older tend to move to nursing homes rather than acute hospital settings. Conclusion: In this study, wage and workload were mentioned as the most critical factors in nurses' workplace selection, job performance difficulties, and turnover intention, so it is necessary to pay attention to this aspect when improving treatment for nurses.

스포츠 참여가 리더 효과성 및 구성원 직무수행에 미치는 영향: 군 조직을 중심으로 (The effect of sports participation on leader effectiveness and subordinate outcomes: Focused on the military organization)

  • 최근 직무에 대한 지나친 몰입보다도 개인의 삶의 질을 중시하는 사회 가치관의 변화로 인해 일-생활 균형을 이루려는 개인의 노력은 조직 구성원의 동기부여와 성과 향상이라는 측면에서 중요시 다루어져야 하는 사회적 현상이 되고 있다. 이에 조직의 리더 및 구성원의 스포츠 참여는 일-생활 균형을 이루어 리더의 효과성을 높이고 구성원의 성과를 향상시키는데 있어서 중요한 요소라 할 수 있다. 따라서 본 논문은 리더의 스포츠 참여가 구성원의 과업성과와 조직시민행동에 주는 영향과 그 관계에 있어 리더 효과성의 매개역할 및 부하의 스포츠 참여의 조절역할을 분석하였다. 이를 위해 대한민국 육군의 상사와 부하를 대상으로 설문을 실시하여 총 213쌍을 최종 분석에 활용하였다. 분석결과를 요약하면 첫째, 리더의 스포츠 참여는 리더 효과성을 증가시키는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 리더 효과성은 구성원의 조직시민행동에 정(+)적인 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 리더 효과성은 리더의 스포츠 참여와 구성원의 조직시민행동 사이의 관계를 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 리더 효과성과 구성원의 과업성과 및 조직시민행동과의 관계에 있어서 구성원의 스포츠 참여의 조절효과를 확인하였다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 시사점 및 한계점과 향후 연구방향에 대해 논의하였다.
