  • In this study, we propose a comparative study to confirm the impact of various word embedding techniques on the performance of sentiment analysis. Sentiment analysis is one of opinion mining techniques to identify and extract subjective information from text using natural language processing and can be used to classify the sentiment of product reviews or comments. Since sentiment can be classified as either positive or negative, it can be considered one of the general classification problems. For sentiment analysis, the text must be converted into a language that can be recognized by a computer. Therefore, text such as a word or document is transformed into a vector in natural language processing called word embedding. Various techniques, such as Bag of Words, TF-IDF, and Word2Vec are used as word embedding techniques. Until now, there have not been many studies on word embedding techniques suitable for emotional analysis. In this study, among various word embedding techniques, Bag of Words, TF-IDF, and Word2Vec are used to compare and analyze the performance of movie review sentiment analysis. The research data set for this study is the IMDB data set, which is widely used in text mining. As a result, it was found that the performance of TF-IDF and Bag of Words was superior to that of Word2Vec and TF-IDF performed better than Bag of Words, but the difference was not very significant.

  • This study set the research model to examine the correlation between Word-of-Mouth constraint factors, efforts to negotiate pertaining to these, Flow and Word-of-Mouth intent based on the theory of leisure constrain when it comes to the correlation between consumers' Word-of-Mouth constraint factors and Word-of-Mouth. Correlation among the variables were verified in an empirical manner. Results of this study are summarized as follows. After verifying the hypotheses, all the hypotheses were adopted excluding the hypotheses of two results (Hypothesis 1, hypotheses 5). Detailed results regarding this are as follows. First, the following is the effect of the Intrapersonal Constraint and Word-of-Mouth constraint factors on the Word-of-Mouth constraint negotiation effort. Interpersonal Constraint and Structural Constraint exert positive (-) effect on the Word-of-Mouth constraint negotiation effort. In case of Intrapersonal Constraint, negative (-) effect was demonstrated. Thus, this was statistically significant although dismissed from hypothesis verification. Second, the following is the result of examining the structural correlation between Word-of-Mouth constraint negotiation effort, Flow and Word-of-Mouth. Word-of-Mouth constraint negotiation effort exerts positive (-) effect on the Flow, but it was not statistically effective in case of the Word-of-Mouth. Lastly, it is possible to see that the Flow plays the role of a medium since it exerted positive (-) effect on the Word-of-Mouth. Results of this study are expected to provide key theoretical and working level implications as well as general understanding of the Word-of-Mouth constraint factors, consumers' Flow and Word-of-Mouth.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the syllable-word boundary misalignment cost on word segmentation in Korean continuous speech. Previous studies have demonstrated the important role of syllabification in speech segmentation. The current study investigated whether the resyllabification process affects word recognition in Korean continuous speech. In Experiment I, under the misalignment condition, participants were presented with stimuli in which a word-final consonant became the onset of the next syllable. (e.g., /k/ in belsak ingan becomes the onset of the first syllable of ingan 'human'). In the alignment condition, they heard stimuli in which a word-final vowel was also the final segment of the syllable (e.g., /eo/ in heulmeo ingan is the end of both the syllable and word). The results showed that word recognition was faster and more accurate in the alignment condition. Experiment II aimed to confirm that the results of Experiment I were attributable to the resyllabification process, by comparing only the target words from each condition. The results of Experiment II supported the findings of Experiment I. Therefore, based on the current study, we confirmed that Korean, a syllable-timed language, has a misalignment cost of resyllabification.

  • Recently with the development of Internet technology, a lot of research area such as retrieval and extracting data have getting important for providing the information efficiently and quickly. Especially, the technique of analyzing and finding the semantic similar words for given korean word such as compound words or generated newly is necessary because it is not easy to catch the meaning or semantic about them. To handle of this problem, word clustering is one of the technique which is grouping the similar words of given word. In this paper, we proposed the korean language clustering technique that clusters the similar words by embedding the words using Word2Vec from the given documents.

  • For speech recognition systems, rejection function as well as decoding function is necessary to improve the reliability. There have been many research efforts on out-of-vocabulary word rejection, however, little attention has been paid on non-target sentence rejection. Recently pronunciation approaches using speech recognition increase the need for non-target sentence rejection to provide more accurate and robust results. In this paper, we proposed filler model method and word/phoneme detection ratio method to implement non-target sentence rejection system. We made performance evaluation of filler model along to word-level, phoneme-level, and sentence-level filler models respectively. We also perform the similar experiment using word-level and phoneme-level word/phoneme detection ratio method. For the performance evaluation, the minimized average of FAR and FRR is used for comparing the effectiveness of each method along with the number of words of given sentences. From the experimental results, we got to know that word-level method outperforms the other methods, and word-level filler mode shows slightly better results than that of word detection ratio method.

  • Mobile phones, which were used for simply calling and sending text messages, have recently moved to application-oriented digital devices such as smart phones and tablet phones. The rapid increase of smart and tablet phones which can offer advanced ability and run a variety of applications based on Java requires various digital multimedia content activities. These days, there are more than 2.2 billions of Christians around the world. Among them, more than 300 millions of people live in Asian, and all of them have and read the bible. If there is an application for the bible which translates from English to their own languages, it could be very helpful. With this reason, this paper proposes a multi-bible application that supports various languages. To do this, we implemented an algorithm that recognize sentences in the bible as word by word. The algorithm is essentially composed of the following three functions: tokenizing sentences in the bible into word by word (word tokenization), recognizing words by using touch event (word recognition), and translating the selected words to the desired language. Consequently, the proposed multi-bible application supports language translation efficiently by touching words of sentences in the bible.
