바이오매스를 이용한 술지게미 펠릿의 연료 연구 (Fuel Research of suljigemi Pellet using Biomass)

  • This paper proposes the method to develop the fuel of suljigemi pellet using agricultural by-products the occurred during the manufacturing of alcohol. The goal of the development of suljigemi using biomass is to make the pellet fuel of high calorie. The suljigemi pellet is difficult to recycle waste in the manufacture company of alcohol. suljigemi pellet has the effect of zero emission as the soil conditioner using ash after burning. Also suljigemi pellet has the reduction effect of carriage fee, fuel economy and low-cost high-efficiency effects, environmentally clean fuel as CO2 emissions savings. So the technologies of the suljigemi fuel pellet are developing low carbon, green growth renewable energy fuel through futuristic energy system will be. In experiments, suljigemi pellets confirmed the calories by about 10% higher than wood pellets with the same conditions.

  • 높은 원가인 펩톤을 다른 질소원으로 대체하기 위하여 콩 혹은 효모의 질소원 대체가능성을 검토한 결과 효모의 농도를 0.5%의 펩톤과 동등한 양의 질소원으로 하였을 때 amylase의 생산성이 2.30 U/ml로써 가장 높았다. 때문에 높은 원가의 펩톤을 효모로 대체하는 것이 가능할 것으로 사료된다.

Effects of Composts and Soil Amendments on Physicochemical Properties of Soils in Relation to Phytophthora Root and Crown Rot of Bell Pepper

  • Two field tests were conducted in 1995 to examine the effects of composts and soil amendments on physicochemical properties of soil in relation to Phytophthora root and crown rot of bell pepper. Chitosan, crab shell waste, humate, sewage sludge-yard trimmings, and wood chips were applied to test plots, some of which affected the levels of P, K, Mg, pH, and H. Physicochemical properties were not related with disease incidence, but percent organic matter, estimated nitrogen release, K, and Mg were correlated with total microbial activity. The elements K and Mg were especially responsible for the increased soil microbial activity that could affect development of root and crown rot of pepper.

Bioconversion of Lignocellulose Materials

  • One of the most economically viable processes for the bioconversion of many lignocellulosic waste is represented by white rot fungi. Phanerochaete chrysosporium is one of the important commercially cultivated fungi which exhibit varying abilities to utilize different lignocellulosic as growth substrate. Examination of the lignocellulolytic enzyme profiles of the two organisms Phanerochaete chrysosporium and Rhizopus stolonifer show this diversity to be reflected in qualitative variation in the major enzymatic determinants (ie cellulase, xylanase, ligninase and etc) required for substrate bioconversion. For example P. chrysosporium which is cultivated on highly lignified substrates such as wood (or) sawdust, produces two extracellular enzymes which have associated with lignin deploymerization. (Mn peroxidase and lignin peroxidase). Conversely Rhizopus stolonifer which prefers high cellulose and low lignin containg substrates produce a family of cellulolytic enzymes including at least cellobiohydrolases and ${\beta}-glucosidases$, but very low level of recognized lignin degrading enzymes.

바이오매스 부존특성을 고려한 농촌지역 바이오에너지 보급전략 (Strategic Planning for Bioenergy Considering Biomass Availability in Rural Area)

  • Unit costs for energy production in bioenergy facilities are dependent upon both fixed cost for facility construction and operational costs including biomass feedstock supply. With the increase of capacity, unit fixed cost could be decreased while supply cost tends to increase due to the longer transportation distance. It is desirable to take into account biomass availability in planning bioenergy facilities. A cumulative curve relationship was proposed to relate biomass availability and cumulative products of biomass amount and transportation distance. Optimum size of gasification facilities was affected by collection cost, biomass cumulative relationship. Based on biomass availability of Icheon-City, optimum sizes were about $400kW_{th}$ for gas production, and about $200kW_{el}$ for power generation. Unit cost of bioenergy production could be substantially reduced by reducing collection cost through supplying biomass from diverse sources including land development areas where significant amount of waste wood is generated. When planning bioenergy facilities, however, biomass availability and spatial distribution are key factors in determining the size of capacity.

  • 결론적(結論的)으로 목재공업(木材工業)은 분산형태(分散形態)로 폐재(廢材)의 수집(收集) 및 그 종류(種類)도 다양(多樣)하므로서 자원화(資源化)로는 원료(原料)의 제약(制約), 생산규모(生産規模), 생산시(生産時)의 공해발생(公害發生), 제품의 수요 등 유동적(流動的)이며 상대적(相對的)인 가변인자(可變因子)가 많다. 그럴수록 그 특성(特性)을 충분(充分)히 살리는 집약적(集約的)이며 다변적(多邊的)인 이용(利用)을 꾀하면서 최신(最新)의 가공기술(加工技術)과 시설(施設)의 도입(導入)을 검토(檢討)하며 그의 연구지원(硏究支援)도 뒤따라야 하겠다.

  • Current international concerns are the energy crisis due to climate change and depletion of fossil fuels due to global warming. Korea has a very high dependency on energy imports 93%. In Korea, 63% of the country is forested, and a power plant using wood biomass is being built in Korea. Biomass fly ash, a by-product of biomass energy generation, is now being discarded. There is little research to utilize discarded biomass fly ash. Therefore, this study aims to solve the environmental problems, develop new mixed materials, improve the quality and utilize the biomass fly ash, which is a by-product of the industrial waste. As a result of the experiment, the flowability decreased as the replacement ratio of biomass fly ash increased. As the replacement ratio of biomass fly ash decreased, the amount of air content.

가정 폐기물이 SRF 바이오매스에 미치는 영향 - B시를 중심으로 (Effect of Household Garbage on the SRF Biomass - Based on the B city)

  • This study investigated the biomass content of fluff type SRF(Solid refuse fuel) operated in B city according to the physical composition. As a result of analyzing the physical composition of SRF, it was investigated that papers 25.2%, fiber 15.1%, vinyl·plastics 42.6%, woods 9.4%, rubbers 1.5%, diapers 3.2% and incombustibles 3.0%. The average of ash and combustible content of SRF was 10.5% and 89.5%, and the higher the proportion of paper and wood, the lower proportion of ash. In addition, the biomass of SRF is 24.9%~58.0%, with an average of 42.6%.

폼알데하이드 흡착능에 대한 커피부산물의 열처리 조건 영향 (Effect of Heating Temperature and Time of Coffee Waste on The Adsorptivity of Formaldehyde)

  • 본 연구는 커피부산물(이하 CW)의 재자원화 방안으로 여러 조건에서 열처리한 CW를 폼알데하이드(이하 HCHO)와 함께 데시케이터에 방치한 후, CW에 흡착된 HCHO 양을 아세틸아세톤법과 dinitrophenylhydrazine (이하 DNPH)법으로 측정 및 비교하여 섬유판 제조에 있어 흡착제로서 CW의 적용 가능성을 탐색하기 위하여 수행하였다. 데시케이터 내의 증류수에 흡착된 HCHO 양을 아세틸아세톤법으로 측정한 결과 열처리하지 않은 CW에서 가장 낮았고 $100^{\circ}C$의 열처리 온도까지 계속 증가하였으나, $100^{\circ}C$ 이상의 온도에서는 차이가 없었다. CW에 직접 흡착된 HCHO양은 $100^{\circ}C$에서 열처리한 CW에서 가장 높았으며, $50^{\circ}C$, $150^{\circ}C$, $0^{\circ}C$, $250^{\circ}C$ 그리고 $200^{\circ}C$ 순으로 측정되었다. DNPH법으로 측정한 CW의 HCHO 흡착능 결과는 데시케이터 내에 HCHO와 함께 방치시킨 무열처리 CW의 증류수에 교반시킨 용액에서는 HCHO가 검출되지 않은 반면, 열처리 CW 교반액에서는 일정량의 HCHO가 검출되었다. 그 검출량은 $100^{\circ}C$에서 10분간 열처리시킨 CW에서 가장 높았다. 또한 HCHO가 흡착된 CW 자체의 HCHO 양은 열처리 시간과 상관없이 $100^{\circ}C$의 열처리 온도까지 계속 증가하였으나, 그 이상의 열처리 온도에서는 HCHO 검출량의 증가폭이 줄거나 검출량이 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 결과를 종합하면, 최대 HCHO 흡착을 위한 CW의 열처리 조건으로 기술적 그리고 경제적 측면을 고려하여 $100{\sim}150^{\circ}C$의 온도 범위에서 10분으로 판단되며, 이 열처리 CW를 섬유판 제조에 있어 흡착제로 일정량 첨가한다면 기존 섬유판의 HCHO 방산량을 낮출 수 있는 하나의 방안이 될 것으로 생각한다.

노천소각에서 배출되는 불완전연소생성물 특성 연구 (The Characterization of Incomplete Combustion Products in Open Burning)

  • It is very important to investigate air pollutants emissions emitted from open burning in order to control nonpoint sources effectively. In this study, we utilized incineration simulator proposed by U.S EPA and investigated emissions of CO, OC/EC, from household waste and biomass burning to estimate pollutant emissions by illegal incineration of biomass wastes. Emission factor of OC was estimated as 17.1 g/kg for rice strew, 23.5 g/kg for barley, 10.3 g/kg for corn stover, 4.3 g/kg for unseasoned wood, respectively. In case of EC, it was calculated as 1.6 g/kg for rice strew, 4.3 g/kg for barley, 1.4 g/kg for corn stover, 0.6 g/kg for unseasoned wood, respectively. Most of the pollutants emissions were emitted at the stage 1 and 2. In the stage 3, the pollutants concentration decreased gradually. To estimate emissions and build inventory for biomass burning, we need to know accurate activity data. We, therefore, used activity data of both survey results of previous study and statistical data of National Statistical Office. However, we need to perform additional experiments in the future to obtain more accurate activity data for various cases.
