A Study on Performance Characteristics with the Control System of CNG Regulator (CNG 레귤레이터의 제어 방식에 따른 성능특성 연구)

  • The domestic vehicles remodeling the "CNG Bi-fuel Kit" are mostly in operation with installing the mechanical regulator applying the Diaphragm. However, due to the material characteristics of Diaphragm and characteristics of mechanical pressure control method, various problems are happening. This study tries to deduce the improvement plan through the checking of performance characteristics according to the pressure control method of CNG regulator and progress of comparative analysis. According to the test result, the decompression method applying the Diaphragm has advantage compared to the method applying the Piston. Furthermore, it was confirmed that through the electronic pressure control, it is possible to improve the general performance of the regulator.

Inhibitory Effect of Brassica rapa in Ovalbumin-Stimulated Experimental Asthmic Mice

  • To evaluate antiallergic effect of Brassica rapa Metzg (BR, Family Cruciferae), which is widely used as a food source, its anti-asthmic effect was investigated. BR reduced IgE level in the blood of ovalbumin (OVA)-induced asthmic mice. BR also inhibited IgE and ploinflammatory cytokine IL-6 productions in trachea of OVA-induced mice, but did not inhibit IL-4 production. BR did not inhibit mRNA expression of proinflammatory cytokines IL-6 and IL-4 in IgE-induced RBL-2H3 cells. BR and its isolated components 10-undecenoic acid 2-methoxy methyl ester and galactosyl diglyceride potently inhibited the NO production of RAW264.7cells induced by lipopolysaccharide. These findings suggest that the anti-asthmic effect of BR may be due to the inhibition of the biosynthesis of proinflarnmatory cytokine IL-6 in macrophage and BR can improve IgE-induced allergic disease asthma.

Myoepithelioma of the Parotid Gland: A Case Report (이하선에서 발생한 근상피종 치험례)

  • Purpose: Myoepithelioma is a rare tumor that originates exclusively from myoepithelial cells of the salivary glands, breast and the prostate. Myoepithelioma accounts for less than 1% of all salivary gland tumors. The objective of our study is to present our experience of the infra-auricular mass which was finally diagnosed as a myoepithelioma. Methods: A 54-year-old woman was presented with a firm, movable, slow-growing infra-auricular mass with 3 cm in diameter. MRI scans and fine needle biopsy was performed for preoperative diagnostic study. A superficial parotidectomy was preceded and removed tumor successfully. Results: Histopathological study revealed a myoepithelioma of plasmacytoid type. Patient's postoperative course was uneventful without any complication and had no evidence of recurrence of tumor for 9 months follow-up period. Conclusion: Myoepithelioma in the parotid gland shows similar clinical courses and intraoperative finding to the pleomorphic adenoma and superficial parotidectomy was selective choice for treatment.

Characteristics of the Abdominal and Neck Flexor Muscles of Children with Cerebral Palsy

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to compare the activities of the abdominal and neck flexor muscles of children with and without cerebral palsy (CP) while lifting the head in a supine position. Methods: The subjects were eight children with CP and eight children without the disease. The activities of the external abdominal oblique (EO), internal abdominal oblique (IO), rectus abdominis (RA), sternocleidomastoid (SCM), and RA/SCM muscles were collected by surface electromyography (EMG) when the children lifted their heads. A Mann-Whitney U test was used to compare the activity of each muscle during the head-lifting exercise. Statistical significance was accepted at p<0.05. Results: The activities of the EO, IO, and RA, and RA/SCM muscles differed significantly between the children with and without CP, but there was no significant between-group difference in the activity of the SCM muscle. Conclusion: These findings suggest that the abdominal muscles are not employed as much in the activities of children with CP compared to those without the disease. Additionally, those with CP were more dependent on the neck flexor muscle during the head-lifting exercise in a supine position.

The Relationship between Functional Movement Screen and Ankle Dysfunctions with Chronic Ankle Instability

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the correlations between functional movement screen (FMS) and ankle dysfunctions in subjects with chronic ankle instability (CAI). Methods: This study was a cross-sectional study of 20 participants with CAI. The ankle dorsiflexion range of motion (ROM), Foot and Ankle Disability Index (FADI), center of pressure (COP) path length, and COP velocity for ankle dysfunction were measured in all the subjects. All the subjects underwent the FMS concerned with ankle functions consisted of deep squats, hurdle steps and in-line lunges. The Spearman rank-order correlation coefficient was used to determine relationship between the ankle ROM, FADI, COP and FMS. Results: The results of the deep squat and in-line lunge exercises revealed a significant correlation with the ankle dorsiflexion ROM, FADI, COP path length, and COP velocity. The hurdle step showed no correlation with the ankle dorsiflexion ROM and FADI but a significant relationship with the COP path length and COP velocity. Conclusion: The results of this study showed that relationship deep squat and in-line lunge and it is suggested that an assessment tool using ankle dorsiflexion ROM and ankle instability would be clinically effective.

Plasma 공정에서 Gas Purge를 이용한 미세 Particle 제어방법 연구

  • 반도체의 device design rule이 shrink 됨에 따라 공정이 난이도가 높아지고 이에 따른 관리가 어려워지고 있다. 특히 미세 particle에 대한 제어의 필요성은 보다 커졌다. 진공 chamber 발생하는 미세 particle의 주요 원인으로는 공정 중 발생한 polymer, chamber 내 부품의 식각 및 스퍼터링에 의한 부산물 등이 있다. Plasma 공정 도중 발생한 particle은 plasma 내 전자에 의해 대전되어 음의 전하량을 가지게 된다. 음의 전하량을 가진 particle은 plasma와 wafer의 경계면에서 형성되는 sheath 때문에 wafer에 도달하지 못하고 plasma 내에 부유하게 된다. 이러한 particle은 plasma가 꺼지게 되면 sheath가 사라지면서 wafer에 도달하게 되고 wafer의 오염을 유발하게 되고 생산 수율을 저하시키는 요인이 된다. 이러한 이유로 최근 plasma 공정에서는 공정 중 발생하는 부유성 particle에 대한 관리가 중요해졌다. 이를 관리하기 위해 plasma를 끄기 전 부유성 particle을 제거하는 방안을 고안하고 평가를 진행하였다. 공정이 끝나고 plasma가 꺼지기 전 plasma를 유지하여 부유성 particle이 wafer에 도달하지 못하는 상태에서 gas purge를 실시한다. 이러한 과정 후 plasma를 끄게 되면 부유성 particle이 wafer에 도달하는 것을 감소시키게 된다. 이번 평가를 통해 부유성 particle에 대해서 대략 20%의 감소 효과를 볼 수 있었다. 이를 토대로 향후 조건 최적화 후 적용 시 particle 감소뿐 만 아니라 수율 향상에도 기여할 수 있을 것이라 기대된다.

Effects of Underfills on the Dynamic Bending Reliability of Ball Grid Array Board Assembly (Ball Grid Array 보드 어셈블리의 동적굽힘 신뢰성에 미치는 언더필의 영향)

  • In this paper, the effects of conventional and newly developed elastomer modified underfill materials on the mechanical shock reliability of BGA board assembly were studied for application in mobile electronics. The mechanical shock reliability was evaluated through a three point dynamic bending test proposed by Motorola. The thermal properties of the underfills were measured by a DSC machine. Through the DSC results, the curing condition of the underfills was selected. Two types of underfills showed similar curing behavior. During the dynamic bending reliability test, the strain of the PCB was step increased from 0.2% to 1.5% until the failure circuit was detected at a 50 kHz sampling rate. The dynamic bending reliability of BGA board assembly using elastomer modified underfill was found to be superior to that of conventional underfill. From mechanical and microstructure analyses, the disturbance of crack propagation by the presence of submicron elastomer particles was considered to be mainly responsible for that result rather than the shear strength or elastic modulus of underfill joint.

  • 본 논문은 3차원 상에서 사용자의 동작을 관성센서로 입력받아 제스처를 인식하는 시스템을 소개한다. 사용자가 취한 제스처 동작은 관성 센서를 통하여 각속도 및 가속도 신호열로 변환된다. 궤적 추정 알고리즘은 이를 2차원 상의 동작 궤적으로 변환한다. 인식 알고리즘은 이 동작 궤적을 입력받아 베이지안 네트웍에 기반한 제스처 모델들로부터의 likelihood를 계산한 후, 최대 likelihood를 갖는 모델을 선택하여 인식을 수행한다. 16명의 필자로부터 13개의 제스처 동작을 각 24회씩 수집하여 실험한 결과 평균 99.4%의 인식률을 얻었다.

  • A method of the region extraction and recognition of a traffic light and speed sign board in the real road environment is proposed. Traffic light was recognized by using brightness and color information based on HSI color model. Speed sign board was extracted by measuring red intensity from the HSI color information We improve the recognition rate by performing an incline compensation of the speed sign for directions clockwise and counterclockwise. The proposed algorithm shows a robust recognition rate in the image sequence which includes traffic light and speed sign board.

  • 자율무인잠수정은 탐사 목적에 따라 다양한 임무를 수행해야 하며, 임무에 따라 자율무인잠수정 행동의 유형과 순서는 달라질 수 있다. 그러나 대부분의 자율무인잠수정은 한정된 임무에 대하여 프로그램 내부에 고정된 행동 유형으로 동작하며, 다른 유형의 임무를 수행해야 할 경우에는 프로그램을 수정해야 하는 문제점이 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 자율무인잠수정이 수행할 수 있는 다양한 임무를 명시할 수 있는 임무 언어를 개발하였다. 이 임무 언어는 명령어의 실행 순서를 제어할 수 있는 제어문과 자율무인잠수정의 행동을 지정하거나 자율무인잠수정의 상태를 입출력 할 수 있는 명령어, 그리고 변수 정의를 제공하기 때문에, 사용자가 자율무인잠수정의 임무를 자유롭게 표현하는 것이 가능하다. 임무 언어로 작성된 임무 파일은 전용 어셈블러에 의해 이진 형식의 실행이미지로 변환된 후에, 자율무인잠수정 내장 소프트웨어 내부의 가상기계 기억장치에 적재되어 실행된다. 실행이미지를 가상기계에서 해석하고 실행하는데 필요한 시스템의 자원을 최소화하기 위하여 임무 언어는 자율무인잠수정의 임무를 표현하기 위한 필수적인 부분만을 고려하여 설계되었으며, 문법은 ARM v5 어셈블리와 유사한 형태이다. 개발된 임무 언어는 한국해양연구원에서 개발한 이심이100 자율무인잠수정에 적용되었으며, 이후 개발할 6,000m급의 이심이6000 자율무인잠수정에도 사용될 예정이다.
