장기간 관찰에 의한 식생활과 혈청 총 콜레스테롤, 혈압, 체질량지수 및 혈당과의 관련성 연구 (A Long Term Observation of Total Cholesterol, Blood Pressure, BMI and Blood Glucose Concerned with Dietary Intake)

  • To establish a basic cohort which can survey the nutrient and food intake related to the health status of the middle and old-aged vertically, a longitudinal survey of 110 adults over forty years old was conducted three times in Chon-ju city over 5 years (1994-1999), and the influences of health status by changes in their nutrient and food intake were examined in this study. The results were as follows ; The number of subjects was 110(43 man, 67 women), 10.0% in their forties, 28.2% in their fifties, 45.4% in their sixties 6.4% over seventy, and their average age was 61.4. There were decrease of height about 1cm , increase of body fat % and few changes of BMI during the testing period. As the subjects were aging, the percentage of anemia increased, but averages of blood pressure and blood glucose(men : 91.8mg/㎗, women : 90.3mg/㎗) were constant. Total cholesterol increased from 196.7mg/㎗ to 212.6mg/㎗(P 0.05) over five years, and the numerical values for women were higher than that of men. In many cases, lack of nutrient intake was shown, as compared with the Recommended Dietary allowance(RDA) especially calcium and vitamin A(71.7%, 64.9% of RDA). Grains intake showed a tendency to decrease(P 0.01). On the contrary, fruit intake showed a tendency to increase(P 0.001). On whole meal, plant foods were 85.1% and animal foods were 14.9%. As dietary factors influencing health status were investigated, blood glucose was influenced by vitamin B$_2$, potatoes and triglyceride, DBP and SBP were affected by vitamin B$_1$, vitamin C, legumes, fishes, triglyceride and age. Total cholesterol was under the influence of triglyceride, milk, seeds and fat. BMI was influenced by iron, SBP, animal food, and age.

성인 여성들의 로하스 라이프스타일에 따른 환경오염 인지와 친환경 의류에 대한 태도 (Awareness of Environmental Pollution and Attitudes toward Eco-Friendly Clothing according to Women's LOHAS Lifestyle)

  • The purposes of this study were to identify awareness of pollution and attitudes toward eco-friendly clothing according to women's LOHAS lifestyle. Over 60% of women were not aware of severity of environment pollution by clothing wastes and 37.2% kept their not-wearing clothing in dead storage. 26.7% of women disposed not-wearing clothing into clothing collecting box separately and 20.9% sent them to neighbors or friends. 39.4% of women were willing to pay 10% more for eco-friendly clothing and 84.6% were not willing to buy clothing produced by unethical companies. Factors of LOHAS lifestyle were healthy food, environmental protection, family life, healthy clothing, healthy housing, and community service, and were segmented into using leisure group, family centered group, LOHAS group, and LOHAS stagnated group. Using leisure group were university women with low incomes, well aware of environmental pollution by clothing wastes and eco-friendly clothing, kept their not-wearing clothing into dead storage, and low intention to buy clothing produced by unethical companies. Family centered group were women of 30’s with average income and higher educationl, unaware of environmental pollution by clothing wastes and eco-friendly clothing, but low intention to buying them, disposed not-wearing clothing into clothing collecting box. LOHAS group were the over forties home makers with higher income and education, well aware of severity of environmental pollution, sent not-wearing clothing to others or remodeled, intended to buy eco-friendly clothing, and not to buy clothing produced by unethical companies. LOHAS stagnated group were university students, unaware of severity of environmental pollution by clothing wastes and threw not-wearing clothing into trash box, no experience of eco-friendly clothing, could buy clothing produced by unethical companies if needed.

섬유제품의 취급방법과 관련된 레이블에 대한 연구 -소비자 인식 및 세탁 실태를 중심으로- (A Study on Consumer's Perception and Attitude to Care Labels of Textile Products)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate consumer's perception and attitude on care labels using questionnaire. The major results are as follows: 1. Self-evaluation on consciousness and knowledge regarding on labels is higher than actual level. In other words, most consumers answered that they understood the care instructions on labels, but actually few consumers understand the exact meanings. Married women in their thirties to forties who do the laundry themselves, and more educated women showed higher level of consciousness to care labels. However, unmarried or career women are dissatisfied with the method of care instruction on labels. Many consumers take care of textile products without considering the proposed informations on core labels. The reasons are as follows: a. they think there is no problem even if they do not follow the proposed methods b. the method proposed on labels are complicated 4. There were some cases which happened some problems even though consumers followed the instructions on care labels. It may be due to the incorrect information or the omission of some specific instruction on labels. 5. For ideal care of clothing, it is necessary for manufacturers to suggest the realistic and clean instructions on labels and for consumers to trust and follow these instructions.

여성 소비자 유형별 웰빙 마케팅 전략에 관한 연구 -웰빙 라이프스타일을 중심으로- (A Study on Well-Being Marketing Strategy by Female Consumers' Types - Focusing on Well-Being Lifestyle -)

  • The purposes of this study were to analyze 'well-being' lifestyle pursuits depending on consumer types and to classify female consumer types according to their 'well-being' awareness. This study also intended to examine the levels of consumers' participation in pursuing a 'well-being' lifestyle, and to find female consumers' characteristics related to well-being lifestyle. The results of study were as follows: First, female consumers were classified in terms of their lifestyle by using their participation in, and awareness of well-being concerns. The results were divided into four groups: society/family-oriented group, 'well-being' oriented leading group, trend-oriented material wealth pursuit group, and selt~centered/fashionable appearance-oriented group. Second, the results of examining characteristics by female consumer type in terms of their pursuit of a well-being lifestyle show that the 'well-being' oriented leading group had the greatest number of innovators and followers. Also, the trend-oriented material wealth pursuit group consisted of mostly medium level participants, and the self-centered/fashionable appearance-oriented group had the greatest number of 'well-being' lifestyle bystanders. With regards to practical participation group, significant differences were found in the sections of 'health', 'leisure' and 'whole', except for 'appearance management'. With regards to purchase experience of 'well-being' products, the health-oriented leading group was the highest participation level in the sections of 'clothes' and 'food', except for 'residence', in which the society/family-oriented group was the highest. Third, demographical characteristics within female consumer types classified by 'well-being' lifestyle showed that the society/family-oriented group had a high percent of. dedicated housewives in their forties or fifties, and the trend-oriented material wealth pursuit group has a high percent of married people in their twenties or thirties. Also, the self-oriented/fashionable appearance-oriented group had a high percent of unmarried. people in their twenties.

경제활동에 따른 40대 여성의 유방암 발생 위험도 (The Risk of Breast Cancer in Women in Their 40s by Economic Activity)

  • In South Korea, female individuals in their forties show a high rate of incidence, with approximately 13% of the patients being <40 years. This statistic is more than twice as high as that in Western countries. It is therefore necessary to identify the risk factors for breast cancer incidence by age and economic activity participation status. Women aged 30 to 59-whether breast cancer patients or those in the control group and having no breast cancer-were appraised from the sample cohort database. The data were analyzed using the statistical software R36.2. To identify the factors affecting breast cancer incidence, the degree of association was determined with HR and 95% CI by means of cox regression analysis. As for the socio-demographic variables, the older the individual, the higher the risk of breast cancer incidence becomes. As for the economic activity variables, those who were dependents (unemployed) and who had higher income (medium and high) were at higher risk of breast cancer incidence, which was statistically significant. The income-adjusted HR (model 1) for breast cancer development associated with the economic activity was 1.452 (95% CI, 1.19-1.77). The body mass index and alcohol intake-adjusted HR (model 2) was 1.431 (95% CI, 1.18-1.74). One needs to pay attention to policy plans regarding women's quality of life, as well as to the risk of breast cancer incidence by their economic activity. In other words, policies need to give post care, instead of focus on early detection and cancer treatment.

예비노년층이 선호하는 노후 여가활동에 관한 연구 (Middle Aged People's Preference for Leisure Activities in Their Future Elderly Stage)

  • This study was conducted to understand the current leisure activities and needs for future activities among middle-aged men and women. A questionnaire survey was conducted with participants in their forties and fifties of age, who were residing in a large city.'rho survey consisted of questions on current leisure activities, leisure satisfaction, and needs for future activities. Frequency, percentage, average, consisted and Chi-square tests were used for data analysis. The results of this study are as following; First, leisure activities are necessary to enhance the quality of life in terms of spiritual and psychological stability and physical health. Second, the participants are generally not satisfied with their current leisure situations, because of insufficient leisure time, high cost, and shortage of facilities and programs. Third, current leisure behaviors of the participants are restrictive and passive. However, they show a desire to engage in diverse forms of leisure including active and participant leisure activities in the future. Fourth, they wish to perform active and participant leisure activities (for example, indoor sports, continuing education, and taking walks) at places that are close to their residence in the future.

서울·뉴욕 소재 한식레스토랑 이용고객 공간만족도 비교분석 -현대식 고급 한식레스토랑을 중심으로- (A Study about Customer Satisfaction of Korean Restaurants - Focusing on Seoul and New York Modernized Upscale Korean Restaurants -)

  • In this study, in order to analyze customers' space satisfaction, ten modern high-class Korean restaurants, five in New York and another five in Seoul, that were opened or remodeled after 2008 were selected and satisfaction characteristics survey of 197 customers who use these Korean restaurants was conducted by using Likert 5-point scale. The study results(a high reliability was obtained showing the Cronbach's alpha coefficient of average 0.895 for all questions) were analyzed for the frequency, percentage, mean, etc. and the mean between groups were comparatively analyzed by conducting the t-test, Duncan's test by using the SPSS 18.0 statistical program. The results are as follows. First, the results of customers general characteristic comparative analysis, all the Seoul and New York customers have comparatively high academic ability, high income and eating-out expenses. The main customers in Seoul were the women in their thirties and forties while those in New York were mainly in their forties and fifties both men and women at similar rate. Second, as to the satisfaction with the interior, the satisfaction with finishing materials was little higher in New York as Seoul (3.30 points) and New York (3.86 points). The satisfaction with color was relatively higher in Seoul (3.66 points) and relatively lower in New York (3.18 points). As the satisfaction with furniture and decorating accessories was relatively lower in both Seoul (3.10 points) and New York (3.48 points). The satisfaction with space size in Seoul (the total space size: 3.99 points, private space size; 3.90 points) was relatively higher than that in New York (the total space size: 3.46 points, private space size; 3.28 points). The satisfaction with interior and exterior in both Seoul (exterior: 3.63 points, interior: 3.40 points) and New York (exterior: 3.28 points, interior: 3.39 points) were average. For the satisfaction of environment, Seoul (3.42 points) was slightly lower than that of New York (3.56 points). Third, the result of customers' satisfaction in Seoul and New York showed no commonality. Therefore in order to be renewed as the Korean restaurants with high customer satisfaction, it is expected that the Korean restaurants located in Seoul and New York need to plan the space by considering their customers' characteristics and satisfactions.

우울증을 경험한 중년여성의 개성화과정에 관한 현상학 연구 (The Phenomenological Study on the Individuation Process of the Middle Aged Women Experienced Severe Depression)

  • 40대 이후 급증하는 중년여성의 우울증은 다양한 치료방법에도 불구하고 좀처럼 감소하지 않고 있다. 이러한 현상이 자기상실에서 오는 전체성의 몰인식에서 기인한다는 전제하에, 보다 근원적인 치료방법을 위한 질적 연구가 필요하다. 이에 본 연구는 2016년 9월부터 2018년 11월까지 우울증을 호소하는 3명의 기독교인 중년여성을 연구 참여자로 선정, 10~15회기 심층상담과 인터뷰를 실시하여 261개의 의미단위와 11개의 하위구성요소를 도출하였으며 도출한 의미단위를 2개의 주제군인 우울증 경험과 개성화과정의 현상으로 나누어 구조화하였다. 심층상담 결과를 바탕으로 우울증 경험과 개성화과정의 현상으로 구조화한 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 우울증의 경험은 신체적, 인지적, 정서적, 행동적, 사회적, 영적인 면에서 고통스러운 증상으로 나타나는데 이는 삶의 의미를 찾으려는 의욕으로 변환되고 새로운 길을 모색하는 창조적 질서를 위한 과정으로 연결된다. 둘째, 중년여성의 개성화과정 현상은 페르소나, 그림자·콤플렉스, 아니무스와의 직면에서 또 다른 고통을 불러오지만, 동시에 이를 극복하기 위한 겸손과 용기의 태도 또한 가져온다. 셋째, 중년여성의 개성화과정에서 자기실현의 현상은 카타르시스 후 자기성찰을 통해 문제를 인식하고 수용하는 것으로부터 시작되고 점차 인격과 관계의 변화, 전반적인 삶에서의 변화, 종교적인 영역에서의 변화, 인지적·정서적·행동적인 영역에서의 긍정적 변화 등이 나타났다. 결론적으로 본 연구를 통해서 우울증을 경험한 중년여성이 고통의 본질적인 의미를 깨닫고 개성화과정을 통해 근원적으로 치료 받을 수 있는 계기를 마련하고, 일반 중년여성들에게도 예방적 차원의 방법을 제시하였다는 데 의의가 있다.

비혼 여성의 비혼 자발성 관련요인 탐색: 결혼 및 가족 가치관을 중심으로 (An Exploratory Study on the Factors Related to Women's Voluntary Ever-Singleness: Focusing on Marriage and Family Values)

  • This study explores whether or not marriage and other family values operate as factors that influence the willingness of women to voluntarily remain ever-single. The study includes as variables the sub-fields of marriage and family values that consist of traditional gender role awareness, freedom in sexual attitude, open outlook on marriage, familism, an acceptance of diverse families, fear of marriage, and assignment of value to extramarital factors. Participants of this study were 259 women in their twenties to forties with no experience of marriage, which were selected from the data used in the Korean Women's Development Institute's Investigation of Single Households(2007). Upon inserting value-related variables and sociodemographic variables into a binomial logistic model for analysis, age, open outlook on marriage, assigned value on extramarital factors, and an acceptance of diverse families were shown to be factors influencing the willingness of women to remain ever-single. That is, as the age spectrum is lower, outlook on marriage is open, more values are granted on the extramarital factors, and the degree of an acceptance of diverse views on family is higher, the chances that women would remain ever-single voluntarily were shown to increase.

도시에 거주하는 중년여성들의 골밀도와 이에 영향을 미치는 인자들에 관한 연구 -I. 도시에 거주하는 중년여성들의 나이에 따른 골밀도 분포와 골다공증 이환율에 관한 연구- (Bone Density of the Middle Aged Women Residing in Urban Area and the Related Factors -I. Distribution of Bone Density According to Age and the Prevalence of Osteoporosis in the Middle Aged Women Residing in Urban Area-)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the distribution of bone density according to age and the prevalence rate of osteoporosis I 613, middle-aged women who visited Saint Bundo Hospital in Pusan from June to December, 1997. Mean bone density of lumbar spine(L2L4), and femoral neck of 50-59 years of age was significantly lower than those of 40-49 years of age(p<0.05). At the 60years of age, mean bone density of two sites were less than those of 50-59 years of age. Mean bone density of lumbar spine tin the group of sixties were 20.7% lower than that of group aged under 40 ; For femoral neck, women in their sixties showed 22.6% lower density compared to the women aged under forty. Bone density of ward's triangle of sixties were the least, which was 34.2% lower than that of group aged under 40. Bone density in lumbar spine, femoral neck, trochanter and ward's triangle correlates strongly with each other(p<0.001). The proportion of osteoporosis was 3.6% in the group of forties, 10.9% in the group of fifties and 33.8% for the group aged over 60, which was assessed by bone density of lumbar spine. Bone density of lumbar spine, femoral neck and ward's triangle were positively correlated with height, weight and BMI(p<0.001∼p<0.01), and weight showed highest correlation with the bone density. Forty-four percent of variation in lumbar spine bone density was explained by age and weight.
