N-screen is a promising technology to improve support for multimedia multicasting, content sharing, content mobility, media scalability, and seamless mobility. In this paper, the WiMedia distributed-MAC (D-MAC) protocol is adopted for development of a seamless N-screen wireless service. Furthermore, to provide a multi-hop, one source multi-use N-screen service through point to point streaming in a seamless D-MAC protocol, a dynamic multi-frame transmission technology is proposed. In this technology, a dynamic time slot allocation scheme and a multi-hop resource reservation scheme are combined. In the proposed dynamic time slot allocation scheme, two thresholds, a hard threshold and a soft threshold, are included to satisfy the power consumption and delay requirements. A multi-frame DRP reservation scheme is proposed to minimize end-to-end delay during the multi-hop transmissions between N-screen devices. The proposed dynamic multi-frame transmission scheme enhances N-screen performance in terms of the multi-hop link establishment success rate and link establishment time compared to the conventional WiMedia D-MAC system.
The convergence of fixed and wireless networks in data communication is providing the necessary driver for M2M commerce to take-off. The opportunities provided by M2M Commerce areonly limited by imagination. Automotive Fleet and Freight, Tolling, Water and Power Metering, Supply Chain Management including Asset Management, Remote Monitoring and Diagnostics, Energy Management and Access Control and Security are among the many M2M applications that are currently getting rolled out. ARC Group expects the worldwide solutions market to be worth in excess of US$ 100 billion by 2007. In addition, operator revenues worldwide from the transport of Telematics data alone will rise from US$ 3.5 billion in 2002 to US$ 78 billion by 2007. This paper discusses some of the lifestyle and business opportunities provided by M2M Commerce in the new ear of network convergence. It also provides some case studies to demonstrate the benefits of M2M Commerce across the supply chain. The key focus of the paper is on achieving enhanced lifestyle, cost reduction, improved profitability and enhanced customer relationship management through M2M Commerce.

Bluetooth uses baseband of 2.4G ISM and composes radio Ad Hoc network based on Ad Hoc wireless connectivity which it used low power and low complexity solution. Bluetooth designed as can play detect, connect, discover service by surrounding other device even if users do not get acquainted all to Bluetooth. This paper operate wish to recognize mobility to routing algorithm how communication method and radio network in Bluetooth.
Ultra-wideband (UWB) radios have attracted great interest for their potential application in short-range high-data-rate wireless communications. High received signal to noise ratio and compliance with the Federal Communications Commissions (FCC) spectral mask call for judicious design of UWB pulse shapers. In this paper, even and odd order derivatives of Gaussian pulse are used respectively as base waveforms to produce two synthesized pulses. Our method can realize high efficiency of spectral utilization in terms of normalized effective signal power (NESP). The waveform design problem can be converted into linear programming problem, which can be efficiently solved. The waveform based on even order derivatives is orthogonal to the one based on odd order derivatives.

In this paper, one of reliable schemes of In-ship sensor networks using a Grid-based WPAN is proposed. The proposed scheme is based on a novel grid network which allows a multi-path communication, and is robust, energy efficient. The results demonstrate that the proposed Grid-based WPAN outperforms the IEEE 802.15.4 based network in terms of power efficiency.
IEEE 802.15.4[1] has been standardized for the physical layer and MAC layer of LR-PANs(Low Rate-Wireless Personal Area Networks) as a technology for operations with low power on sensor networks. The standardization is applied to the variety of applications in the shortrange wireless communication with limited output and performance, for example wireless sensor or virtual wire, but it includes vulnerabilities for various attacks because of the lack of security researches. In this paper, we analyze the vulnerabilities against the denial of sleep attacks on the MAC layer of IEEE 802.15.4, and propose a detection mechanism against it. In results, we analyzed the possibilities of denial of sleep attacks by the modification of superframe, the modification of CW(Contention Window), the process of channel scan or PAN association, and so on. Moreover, we comprehended that some of these attacks can mount even though the standardized security services such as encryption or authentication are performed. In addition to, we model for denial of sleep attacks by Beacon/Association Request messages, and propose a detection mechanism against them. This detection mechanism utilizes the management table consisting of the interval and node ID of request messages, and signal strength. In simulation results, we can show the effect of attacks, the detection possibility and performance superiorities of proposed mechanism.
Since low earth orbit (LEO) satellite constellations have important advantages over geosynchronous earth orbit (GEO) systems such as low propagation delay, low power requirements, and more efficient spectrum allocation due to frequency reuse between satellites and spotbeams, they are considered to be used to complement the existing terrestrial fixed and wireless networks in the evolving global mobile network. However, one of the major problems with LEO satellites is their higher speed relative to the terrestrial mobile terminals, which move at lower speeds but at more random directions. Therefore, handover management in LEO satellite networks becomes a very challenging task for supporting global mobile communication. Efficient and accurate methods are needed for LEO satellite handovers between the moving footprints. In this paper, we propose a new seamless handover management scheme for LEO satellites (SeaHO-LEO), which utilizes the handover management schemes aiming at decreasing latency, data loss, and handover blocking probability. We also present another interesting handover management model called satellite mobility pattern based handover management in LEO satellites (PatHO-LEO) which takes mobility pattern of both satellites and mobile terminals into account to minimize the handover messaging traffic. This is achieved by the newly introduced billboard manager which is used for location updates of mobile users and satellites. The billboard manager makes the proposed handover model much more flexible and easier than the current solutions, since it is a central server and supports the management of the whole system. To show the performance of the proposed algorithms, we run an extensive set of simulations both for the proposed algorithms and well known handover management methods as a baseline model. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithms are very promising for seamless handover in LEO satellites.

In the application of wireless sensor networks to monitor valuable assets under concern, the appearance of a certain asset can be identified and reported simultaneously by several adjacent nodes, and this may dissipate the power of related nodes and network bandwidth as well. In the proposed method, a node that senses the appearance of some asset is allowed to send the sensing-reporting packet only after it has been being idle for a certain period without receiving any DRP(Don't Report Packet) from neighbors. It turns out that not only the cost of propagating DRPs but also that of reporting the events to the sink becomes minimal when depth of each DRP propagation is 2. In case of depth 1, at least, two routes are set up for the delivery of the sensing-reporting packet hence, reliable transfer to the sink is provided.
Recently, a multi-core system is studied for single terminal's operations on various service networks for mobile systems. Therefore, it is expected that mobile systems capable of supporting WCDMA, MC-CDMA, CDMA and WiBro would be developed. Mobile systems for supporting various service networks is able to be implemented on a single chipset via SoC(System one Chip) technology, thus a noble modem design proper for SoC technology is necessary. For high speed data transmission of 4G mobile communication services, OFDM scheme has to be applied. But, an OFDM signal consists of a number of independently modulated subcarriers, and superposition of these subcarriers cause a problem that can give a large PAPR. In this paper, a noble modem design for 4G mobile communication services and PAPR reduction method for solving the PAPR problem are proposed.
