  • In recent years, the Internet of things has grown rapidly and is being used in many fields. The function of an Internet device isto collect information in various environments and to provide useful information to users. Due to recent developments in technology, the kinds of Internet devices are increasing and the prices are getting cheaper. In addition, many open source platforms that are easy to use have been developed and are providing convenience to users. In this paper, wireless data transmission and cloud server system based on ESP-12E NodeMCU module was designed and sensor information collected from Internet devices was transmitted to cloud server through WiFi wireless communication. The collected sensor data was saved by creating channel and field in the cloud server and the data of each field was visualized as a graph.

  • This paper is to develop WiMAX CPE(wireless AP) that can provides Wi-Fi terminal with wireless Internet service by connecting to Wibro wireless network. This AP aims to support WiBro in upstream interface basically, and Wi-Fi and 100M Ethernet interface in downstream. So, we has developed the equipment for business that wireless ISP can provide many Internet customers with wireless Internet service by using Wi-Fi terminal in subway, car, ship, and so on, and the equipment for users that a user can purchase and then install in person. For the latter, multiple Wi-Fi terminals that be registered in WiBro service can be connected to Internet simultaneously.

  • To understand and forecast the wireless internet market in Korea, we will analyse the network externalities in wireless internet market into communication network externalities and hardware/software network externalities. The wireless market has two competing streams, one is mobile internet and the other is wireless fan internet. Both are characterized by strong network externalities which lead to increasing return to stale. Mobile internet is supposed more suitable for communication and WLAN for data. However these two system will compete in some area, and the critical factor to deride the winner is supposed to be the network externalities as in so many other high-tech industries had showed.

  • The Internet of Things (IoT) is a term first used by Kevin Ashton, director of MIT's Auto ID Center, in 1999, and refers to the connection of things to the Internet. Bluetooth, one of the wireless networks, is a technology developed as an industry standard for personal short-range wireless communication first developed by Ericsson in 1994. Since the Raspberry Pi has Bluetooth built-in, a wireless network is possible. This paper implements a module for the Internet of Things by implementing serial communication in the Bluetooth built-in Raspberry Pi 3 B+. There was a problem that Bluetooth communication was impossible between raspberries, so the discovery function was activated and serial communication was added to successfully link the communication.

  • As a widely used way to exfiltrate information, wireless covert channel (WCC) brings a serious threat to communication security, which enables the wireless communication process to bypass the authorized access control mechanism to disclose information. Unlike the covert channel on the network layer, wireless covert channels on the physical layer (WCC-P) is a new covert communication mode to implement and improve covert wireless communication. Existing WCC-P scheme modulates the secret message bits into the Gaussian noise, which is also called covert digital communication system based on the joint normal distribution (CJND). Finding the existence of this type of covert channel remains a challenging work due to its high undetectability. In this paper, we exploit the square autocorrelation coefficient (SAC) characteristic of the CJND signal to distinguish the covert communication from legitimate communication. We study the sharp increase of the SAC value when the offset is equal to the symbol length, which is caused by embedding secret information. Then, the SAC value of the measured sample is compared with the threshold value to determine whether the measured sample is CJND sample. When the signal-to-noise ratio reaches 20db, the detection accuracy can reach more than 90%.

  • Wireless data communication (WDC) services are increasingly penetrating the market. The two main alternative WDC technologies are wireless LAN and mobile Internet. Services based on these technologies display differences in quality attributes such as terminal device, data transmission speed, pricing scheme and so on. How consumers choose between these two alternatives will be determined by their preferences regarding such quality attributes. In turn, their preferences will affect the evolution of WDC services and related technologies. This study employs a conjoint analysis of consumer valuations of quality attributes of wireless LAN and mobile Internet services. Respondents rate hypothetical service alternatives featuring various combinations of quality attributes. By estimating consumer willingness to pay for the attributes of WDC services, the authors predict the evolution of WDC services and related technologies along various quality dimensions, make a comparison with the results of a previous study, and draw policy implications for national-and company-level R&D strategies.

  • DSRC(Dedicated Short Range Communications), which is a radio mobile communication protocol in ITS, is suited for traffic related information services. But in WAC(Wide-Area wireless communications), we could consider a conventional communication infrastructure in the case of supporting other applications besides ITS. Especially considering the current the trends to introduce wireless internet service into the mobile communication network, wireless internet service in ITS system is valuable. Although ITS LLC(Logical Link Control) protocols recommended by Europe and Japan are effective for traffic related services, it is not suitable for services related with geographical information, image or internet. That is because the data traffic characteristics is changed according to service types. Therefore we suggest a logical link control algorithm effective for traffic information related services as well as internet web service, and analyze its performance. As a result of numerical analysis and simulation, proposed algorithm shows larger performance improvements. For traffic information related services, the performance of DSRC LLC recommended by Europe and Japan is the same as that of proposed LLC protocol. However, for wireless internet web service, the performance of proposed protocol is much better than that of LLC protocol used in Europe and Japan.

  • In this paper, wireless internet proxy server clusters are used for the wireless internet because their caching, distillation, and clustering functions are helpful to overcome the limitations and needs of the wireless internet. TranSend was proposed as a clustering based wireless internet proxy server but it has disadvantages; 1) its scalability is difficult to achieve because there is no systematic way to do it and 2) its structure is complex because of the inefficient communication structure among modules. In our former research, we proposed the CD-A structure which can be scalable in a systematic way but it also has disadvantages; its communication structure among modules is partly complex. In this paper, we proposed a consolidated scheme which has a systematic scalability and an efficient communication structure among modules. We performed experiments using 16 PCs and experimental results show 196% and 40% performance improvement of the proposed system compared to the TranSend and the CD-A system, respectively.

  • In this paper, we investigate the outage performance of a cognitive relay network. We consider mutual interference in an independent, non-identically distributed Nakagmai-m fading environment. We first derive the close-form outage probability expression, which provides an efficient means to evaluate the effects of several parameters. This allows us to study the impact of several parameters on the network's performance. We then derive the asymptotic expression and reveal that the diversity order is strictly determined by the fading severity of the cognitive system. It is not affected by the primary network. Moreover, the primary network only affects the coding gain of the cognitive system. Finally, Monte Carlo simulations are provided, which corroborate the analytical results.

  • Energy-harvesting wireless sensor networks(EH-WSNs) can collect energy from the environment and overcome the technical limitations of existing power. Since the transmission distance in a wireless sensor network is limited, the data are delivered to the destination node through multi-hop routing. In EH-WSNs, the routing protocol should consider the power situations of nodes, which is determined by the remaining power and energy-harvesting rate. In addition, in applications such as environmental monitoring, when there are urgent data, the routing protocol should be able to transmit it stably and quickly. This paper proposes an adaptive routing protocol that satisfies different requirements of normal and urgent data. To extend network lifetime, the proposed routing protocol reduces power imbalance for normal data and also minimizes transmission latency by controlling the transmission power for urgent data. Simulation results show that the proposed adaptive routing can improve network lifetime by mitigating the power imbalance and greatly reduce the transmission delay of urgent data.
