Developing a Home Care Nursing Information System by utilizing Wire-Wireless Network and Mobile Computing System (컴퓨터 통신망과 PDA(휴대용개인단말기)를 이용한 가정간호정보시스템 개발)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop a home care nursing network system for operating home care effectively and efficiently by utilizing a wire-wireless network and mobile computing in order to record and send patients' data in real time, and by combining the headquarter office and the local offices with home care nurses over the Internet. It complements the preceding research from 1999 by adding home care nursing standard guidelines and upgrading the PDA program. Method: Method/l and Prototyping were adopted to develop the main network system. Result: The detailed research process is as follows: 1 )home care nursing standard guidelines for Diabetes, cancer and peritoneal-dialysis were added in 12 domains of nursing problem fields with nursing assessment/intervention algorithms. 2) complementing the PDA program was done by omitting and integrating the home care nursing algorhythm path which is unnecessary and duplicated. Also, upgrading the PDA system was done by utilizing the machinery and tools where the PDA and the data transmission modem are integrated, CDMX-1X base construction, in order to reduce a transmission error or transmission failure.

Interworking between PPP CHAP and RADIUS Authentication Server on GPRS Network (GPRS 망에서 PPP CHAP과 RADIUS 인증 서버 연계 방안)

  • We usually applied PPP CHAP (Point-to-Point Protocol Challenge Handshake Authentication Protocol) when the visited ISP subscriber accesses to authentication server in own home ISP network and IP Assignment for remote Internet service. But PPP CHAP doesn't support in case of visited ISP subscriber in GPRS network accesses to authentication server in own home ISP network for wireless Internet service. We suggest solution this problem with PPP CHAP improvement. For this we propose the modified PPP CHAP message format, PCO Message format at MT, and interworking message and format between GGSN and RADIUS in home ISP network for wireless internet service of mobile ISP subscriber at GPRS network in this paper. We also show authentication results when visited mobile ISP subscriber via PPP CHAP at GPRS network accesses the RADIUS server in home ISP network.

  • In this paper, we propose speech interlace using VoiceXML in home network system Existing home network uses Bluetooth, IrDA, wireless LAN and Home RF but these was able to use a long distance such as outdoors or these was difficult to using method. The proposing VoiceXML speech interlace is supported with home network services more than other interface technology in a long distance also speech interlace controls home server using a wire and a wireless phone and is informed of problems to direct calling for user through VoiceXML server. In this paper, such speech interlace is able to use the aspect of home network and supports to practical remote gauge examination, remote control services. And on the basic of that, we evaluate efficiency of purposed method.

  • This paper describes the ubiquitous home network (uHome-net) testbed and LonRF intelligent devices based on LonWorks technology. These devices consist of Neuron Chip, RF transceiver, sensor, and other peripheral components. Using LonRF devices, a home control network can be simplified and most devices can be operated on LonWorks control network. Also, Indoor Positioning System (IPS) that can serve various location based services was implemented in uHome-net. Smart Badge of IPS, that is a special LonRF device, can measure the 3D location of objects in the indoor environment. In the uHome-net testbed, remote control service, cooking help service, wireless remote metering service, baby monitoring service and security & fire prevention service were realized. This research shows the vision of the ubiquitous home network that will be emerged in the near future.

Multiple Reward Reinforcement learning control of a mobile robot in home network environment

  • The following paper deals with a control problem of a mobile robot in home network environment. The home network causes the mobile robot to communicate with sensors to get the sensor measurements and to be adapted to the environment changes. To get the improved performance of control of a mobile robot in spite of the change in home network environment, we use the fuzzy inference system with multiple reward reinforcement learning. The multiple reward reinforcement learning enables the mobile robot to consider the multiple control objectives and adapt itself to the change in home network environment. Multiple reward fuzzy Q-learning method is proposed for the multiple reward reinforcement learning. Multiple Q-values are considered and max-min optimization is applied to get the improved fuzzy rule. To show the effectiveness of the proposed method, some simulation results are given, which are performed in home network environment, i.e., LAN, wireless LAN, etc.

  • This paper analyzes performance measures of a Bluetooth_based mobile home network system. The home network system consists of terminals with Bluetooth interfaces, access points (AP), a home PC, and a gateway A mobile host in wireless terminals uses Mobile IP for supporting the mobility This paper considers four types of data traffic, which are new connection traffic, handoff traffic, Internet data traffic, and control data traffic and suggests a queueing system model of the home network system, where the AP and the home PC are modeled as M/G/1 with four priority queues and the gateway is modeled as M/G/1 with a single queue The generation rate and service time of individual traffic influence their performance measures. Based ell the suggested model, we propose the elapsed time of data traffic in terms of the number of cells, the number of Home PCs, arrival rates of four types of traffic and the service rates of AP/Home PCs/Gateway To analyze influences on the elapsed time with respect to arrival rate of four types of traffic, some examples are given.

  • ZigBee기술은 Home Automation, Building Automation 그리고 Sensor Network 분야까지 다양한 분야에서 기술적인 가능성을 가지고 있다. 그러나 ZigBee기술은 WPAN(Personal Area Network) 영역으로 그 범위를 제한하고 있어 Home Automation에 적용할 수 있는 분야가 제한될 수 밖에 없다. 본 논문에서는 ZigBee의 binding기술을 확장하여 home network에 도입하기 위한 방안을 제시하고, 댁외 device들이 home server를 통하여 ZigBee의 device들과 어떻게 binding될 수 있는지를 보이고자 한다. 또한 위의 내용을 기반으로 home network의 automation을 댁외 망으로 확장할 수 있음을 보이고자 한다.
