스마트폰 재생환경을 고려한 동영상 편집 시스템 (Video Editing System Considering Smart Phone Playback Environment)

  • Nowadays, smart phone is being popularly used for communication, entertainment, and information retrieval. While demands on video traffic over mobile networks increases sharply, the wireless link capacity is often limited to fully support the traffic demand. Therefore, the size of video data needs to be reduced to provide high quality video with limited capacity. To handle this issue, we propose a video editing system using the ffmpeg library. The proposed system can provide a high quality video with a relatively small data size, thereby facilitating the mobile streaming services and live-video games.

무선통신 채널환경에서 비동기식 IMT-2000 시스템의 성능분석 (Performance Analysis of Asynchronous IMT-2000 System in Wireless Communication Channel Environment)

  • 본 논문은 광대역 무선통신 채널환경에서 3GPP 표준안에 기반한 비동기식 IMT-2000 시스템의 송수신기를 구성하여 수신단의 기지국 수신성능을 분석한다. 다중 경로 페이딩 모델로는 ITU-R M.1225에서 제시된 모델을 적용하였으며, 이동국과 기지국의 Uplink 채널환경을 고려하였다. 성능개선 기법으로 어레이 안테나를 채용하였고, 동일채널 간섭제거기와 레이크 수신기를 혼합하여 기존의 레이크 수신기에서 제거할 수 없었던 자기 간섭(Auto Interference)을 제거하는 새로운 레이크 수신기를 제안하였다. 성능 분석 결과, 제안된 레이크 수신기는 자기 간섭 제거로 인한 성능개선 효과를 얻을 수 있었으며 또한, 어레이 안테나를 채용하여 다중접속간섭으로 인한 성능열화를 보상할 수 있었다.

  • 지상파 디지털 방송의 변조 방법으로 채택하고 있는 OFDM은 스펙트럼 효율이 좋고 페이딩 채널에 강인하기 때문에 고속 유무선 통신 등에 주로 사용되고 있는 변조 방식이다. 실제 무선통신 환경에서 디지털 비디오 방송의 이동수신 시에 수신 파의 도래 각도에 따른 반송파 주파수 오차로 인하여 성능이 열화 된다. 본 논문은 이러한 도플러효과에 의한 성능 열화를 배열 안테나를 이용하여 수신 성능을 개선하고자 한다.

A Tablet PC-based Monitoring System for Oceanic Applications

  • Mobile computers can process large amounts of data at high speeds, and it is feasible and easy to implement a remote monitoring system utilizing mobile computers. Because of their portability and convenience, these computers have been employed in various research areas to develop such monitoring systems. Existing monitoring system is a bit difficult to real time monitoring the scattered offshore facilities. So this paper compensate the existing system by using mobile computers such as a tablet PC-based monitoring system. Also, the scattered offshore facilities can be monitored in real-time through the tablet PC. The developed monitoring system is a fully Internet-based monitoring platform that enables one to monitor and control remote oceanic applications at any time and any place where it is possible to access the Internet. It can be applied to many oceanic applications as well as the unmanned systems and remote monitoring systems on land.

Robust Audio Fingerprinting Method Using Prominent Peak Pair Based on Modulated Complex Lapped Transform

  • The robustness of an audio fingerprinting system in an actual noisy environment is a major challenge for audio-based content identification. This paper proposes a high-performance audio fingerprint extraction method for use in portable consumer devices. In the proposed method, a salient audio peak-pair fingerprint, based on a modulated complex lapped transform, improves the accuracy of the audio fingerprinting system in actual noisy environments with low computational complexity. Experimental results confirm that the proposed method is quite robust in different noise conditions and achieves promising preliminary accuracy results.

Non-Cooperative Game Joint Hidden Markov Model for Spectrum Allocation in Cognitive Radio Networks

  • Spectrum allocation is a key operation in cognitive radio networks (CRNs), where secondary users (SUs) are usually selfish - to achieve itself utility maximization. In view of this context, much prior lit literature proposed spectrum allocation base on non-cooperative game models. However, the most of them proposed non-cooperative game models based on complete information of CRNs. In practical, primary users (PUs) in a dynamic wireless environment with noise uncertainty, shadowing, and fading is difficult to attain a complete information about them. In this paper, we propose a non-cooperative game joint hidden markov model scheme for spectrum allocation in CRNs. Firstly, we propose a new hidden markov model for SUs to predict the sensing results of competitors. Then, we introduce the proposed hidden markov model into the non-cooperative game. That is, it predicts the sensing results of competitors before the non-cooperative game. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme improves the energy efficiency of networks and utilization of SUs.

광무선 통신을 위한 자승 결합기법을 적용한 SIM/SM (Square-Law Combining-Aided SIM/SM for Optical Wireless Communication)

  • 본 논문은 SIM/SM에 자승 결합기법을 적용한 시스템을 제안한다. 실외 환경에서 SIM/SM은 대기의 격변에 의한 성능 저하가 발생한다. 자승 결합기법은 수신부에서 다수의 광검출기를 배치하고, 수신 된 각 신호를 제곱하여 합성함으로 격변에 의한 성능 저하를 감소시킬 수 있다. 다양한 주파수 효율에서 광검출기의 수를 증가시킬수록 성능 이득이 커지며, 격변의 세기가 강할수록 더욱 효과적인 성능 개선이 가능함을 확인하였다.

  • In this paper, we implemented the pattern matching with the Arduino and App Inventor platform under the bluetooth mobile environment between Android phone and Arduino Platform. The combination between Arduino and App Inventor makes the feasibility of Android programming easy by wireless communications and provides the opportunity to broaden the functionality for mobile device. We used the softwares which were Arduino IDE, VC++, OpenCV, Processing and App Inventor. And also compared the performance of mobile Arduino platform with LabView GUI programming, we reduced the usage of libraries that compiled and executed the pattern matching programming. We experimented the mobile embedded platform performance under bluetooth communication and verified the functionality of the mobile Arduino platform design for identifying the pattern matching.

  • The objective of this paper is to increase the performance by selecting the optimal value in outputs of two algorithms that are Generlized-Lagrange and LMS(Least Mean Square). This paper presents superior performance by mixed two of conventional algorithm arbitrary. Based on the analysis from various simulation, it is observed that proposed method is better performance in terms of practical WLL(Wireless Local Loop) environment.

  • It is noteworthy that IMT -2000 communication network based on All-HP/AIN(Advanced Intelligent Network) should accomodate current and future wire/wireless AIN service easily through integration and gearing AIN construction elements. In this paper. Intelligent Farmer model(I-Farmer Model) and methodology are suggested in order to solve the several problems including standardization on implementation of Q3 interface in Telecommunication Management Network(TMN) agents which is caused by heterogeneous platform environment and future maintenance. Also this paper proposes ITI algorithm transforming the system which is designed by I-Farmer model to Interface Specification Model(ISM) applying the I-Farmer model. In addition to ITI algorithm. we suggest NTS(Node to SIB) algorithm converting entity node and ILB/OLB component in agent system designed by the I-Farmer model to SIB of AIN GFP(Global Functional Plane) and to ASIB for application program.
